I was so incredibly immature when I was younger (11-13), but that was mostly on an MMORPG called RuneScape. And there was countless ways to be a noob on there >_<

For a 15-year-old I think I'm doing pretty good. Sigh…

I'd say that for a 15 year old, you have the mindset of a person slightly older. Which ain't bad at all :P

For a 15 year old you're better then good, I'd say excellent. Of course I don't know you well enough to say you're not the same hormone riddled idiot most 15yo are, but you might not.

Ah, I remember people like that on the last forum I used. {: They were so naive, so of course my friends and I had to... teach them to be a little less gullible. Yeah, that's totally it. We were just helping them.

we were mean. ]:

Speaking of noob days, I said some really stupid stuff in other forums back when I didn't know better.

Sableye~ December 24th, 2013 4:02 PM

Hehe. I was suspended from one forum for spamming because I didn't know any better. They let me come back after I explained myself, at least. They had no idea how much of a pain I would be, nor how many times I would be suspended in the future.
...I've learned to pay more attention to rules since then haha.

Hmmm. Haha I won't compare it to chicken. I don't really remember the taste cuz it was highly sauced, but it was very sinewy, very tough and fibery. Also, too much bone to meat :( but it's a dog, and a wild one, what do you expect.

When you've been at home for seven months straight without being out of the house much, things can get a little boring.

I've been doing that lately, are you nuts? Staying home forever gives you enough time to see all your shows, wallow in your guilt, player all the games in the world, wonder when the hell your gonna get a job, and all kinds of other crazy things(like wonder where your life is going).

Basically my college screwed me over with financial aid and I wasn't able to pay for my classes out-of-pocket.

Mark Kamill December 24th, 2013 7:37 PM

That blows. Its also one reason why I love Europe, Uni is free.....if you have the right grades. >_>

Shining Raichu December 24th, 2013 7:43 PM

There're no problems with our financial aid here. It all goes through the government and everyone's eligible

Honest December 24th, 2013 7:44 PM

Financial aid is fine, but my college's system is downright terrible. For whatever reason, my aid keeps fluctuating -_-

Pretty much the same here if you have good enough grades or you're granted a scholarship, you can go to college for free under certain terms if you're eligible for the scholarship and are awarded it.

Mark Kamill December 24th, 2013 7:52 PM

Yeah, but that's still not 100% free. Like, you can pass high school with the equivalent of a 4.0 GPA, and suck in University without consequences.

Tsutarja December 24th, 2013 7:58 PM

There are scholarships here though that do give students a full ride into school, but you would have to be top-notch pretty much.

Also grants too. If one's parents/guardians don't make enough money, they could qualify for grant money to get into school as well, which sucks because it means people who have lower grades get a free ride simply because of lower income.

Honest December 24th, 2013 8:03 PM

Eep, I have a scholarship that covers about two thirds of my tuition, but it has a GPA requirement in order to keep, and I'm worried sick I may have gone under. :c

Tsutarja December 24th, 2013 8:10 PM

I'm kinda jealous though that I didn't turn out to be athletic though.. because there were people from my school who barely managed a 2.0 GPA but got athletic scholarships because of how good an athlete they were. Oh well.

KittenKoder December 24th, 2013 8:22 PM

I'm getting bored of Pokemon.

Why? Well because of the cheaters, the people who cheat other players out of rightful wins by disconnecting just before they lose. Also all the Smogonites trying to control the game through equally nefarious methods then getting arrogant when reminded that Pokemon does not belong to Smogon. The rated battles use to mean something, a goal to aspire too, now they're ruined. First the hacking program, then the sore losers disconnecting, and now Smogonites expecting everyone else to want to play the same game they do in an arena that's obviously not theirs, clashing with those who think everyone should follow VGC rules.

It's just not fun anymore, even this forum has lost it's appeal for much the same reasons. Luckily the smaller arenas' fans aren't so pigheaded, but that's still only about half of those I encounter in Battle Spot lately. I know, I'm griping, and suspect this post may disappear, but that's why I have been inactive on the forums lately. So thank you, those specific types I mentioned, for ruining what use to be my favorite video game of all time.

Honest December 24th, 2013 8:30 PM

^that was random LOL Sorry you feel that way;c #doesntplaypokemon

Kanzler December 24th, 2013 8:34 PM

It's not always that easy. I applied to 13 jobs over the summer and I never even got an interview. Meanwhile someone offered my brother a job and my other brother got hired on the spot. I really wished that luck ran in the family...

I was pretty busy with after school activities during high school though, so I look forward to starting the job hunt even earlier this year. Maybe I'll get luckier this time, but spending the entire summer at home not working killed me on the inside. So, I'm not giving up this next summer.

Starry Windy December 25th, 2013 12:19 AM

I haven't searching for another job as of yet, even though I was having a semi-job regarding plane tickets and stuff. I just hope I can get the job that I enjoy the most someday, but I'm unsure where is it as of now.

How come? In my area, I see that some stores are looking for a person with about 17 years old or higher to work, so I'm wondering why.

Seki December 25th, 2013 3:42 AM

Meanwhile, I've seen MacDonald's hiring 15 year olds here.

Shining Raichu December 25th, 2013 3:45 AM

Yeah McDonald's hires the really young ones so they don't have to pay much money.

Seki December 25th, 2013 3:53 AM

The wages here in MacDonald's for a part timer is actually quite good in my opinion. $5.50/hr or about $4.30 USD/hr plus a free meal.

Shining Raichu December 25th, 2013 3:56 AM

In Australia they get like $15.00 an hour lol

Seki December 25th, 2013 3:59 AM

Woah, that's a very high paying job. I shall immediately migrate to Australia now.

Mark Kamill December 25th, 2013 4:02 AM

What? In Australia games are like 100 AUSD, consoles like 700, and everything has super high inflation prices. 15 per hour is pennies compared to the cost of living.

Oh my, I meant I was born at 24th, at 1 AM. However, I only got the gifts once because my birthday presents and Christmas presents are both counted as one. But I don't mind.

And speaking of games, I was almost unable to buy 3DS XL 2 months ago due to inflation everywhere. I'm lucky that back then I managed to buy one just before the price goes up.

Still, there is a pirce inflation and 15 dollars per hour isn't exactly the best in Australia.

At least it's not inflation in a certain country that got really out of hand.

Or inflation involving a certain kind of afterlife.

Elendil, I hope all things will be better soon. Lately I'm using the same tree that I bought some years ago (thank goodness that it's still functional), and the number of presents on the tree are not as much as it is in last year. I hope I or my parents can afford to buy anything now.

Starry Windy December 25th, 2013 6:58 AM

I don't have much of a Christmas party in my area though, I'm just doing what I usually do on the net. Except if I was on different city though.

Alexander Nicholi December 25th, 2013 9:05 AM

Merry Christmas everyone! What did everyone get for Christmas?

I got a vintage original Monopoly set from the 1930s, a copy of Pokemon 4Ever (for the third time), a Pikachu special DVD, Adam Sandler's SNL skits, and a ball cap with all the past and current Infantry divisions posted at Fort Carson, CO.

Aeroblast December 25th, 2013 9:12 AM

Karinmo December 25th, 2013 9:56 AM

Considering that this is my last year with my family- They really wanted me to feel good.
I got about 100 dollars in cash for gas money- (Life saver for my commute)
A new GBC and brand new Pokemon Blue version- and now I can finaly finish the pokedex in Red and Blue ^^
I got a new football, and a bunch of candy.
Also- a couple pokemon TCG booster packs :D
Really good christmas.

Mark Kamill December 25th, 2013 10:01 AM

A GBC, Pokemon cards, candy and a hundred bucks? That sounds like Christmas 98 for me. XD

What, you guys are done with Christmas already? My family drags it out quite a bit. As in, for a couple of days. So here I am listening to System of a Down and battling on Showdown while they're off doing other things.

I wasn't looking forward to today all that much (I haven't been able to make myself care for years, short of the religious aspect), but I can't help but be in a good mood. The entire family seems happy, for once. Though I think my father is just happy because he got bullets for Christmas. ;D

I also got a Pokemon Adventures volume of the D/P/Pt saga from my younger sister, from her favorite store over by the mini mall, Rainy Day Anime. She's the one who picked out my Pikachu Christmas Special DVD. :)

This song was the first thing to come on the radio when we sat down to open presents, and it's really put me in the Christmas-y mood. I'd thought I'd share it. ;)
