Sadly I'm going to drop my Blaze Black playthrough of this challenge. I'm not enjoying myself anymore, and the mechanics of this hacked game are really starting to bother me. It could've done without the ridiculous increase to the opponent's hacks. I wasn't even at the fourth gym just now and my Pokémon had to be trained up to level 50 and I still had to try more than once to defeat some trainers. Maybe I'm just not that good at Pokémon, but for me it's still about enjoyment and blowing of some steam at the end of the day, not getting more frustrated. I might pick up this challenge someday in the future, maybe on Blaze Black, maybe on an easier game, but for now I don't see myself continuing.

All the teams looks great, with one exception. Aotora, it looks like you forgot my Ice type for Diamond version.
I am happy to see you gave me a Mothim, I actually really like Mothim, he's actually one of my favorite bug types. I am ready to start my Ultimate Persona challenge, I'll just need that sixth Pokemon for Diamond, but I won't be getting to that anytime soon. |
You may use Froslass than ^^ She has interesting typing and I think that she should be obtainable in Diamond :)

Decided to give me post a little more flair, so let's get this party started.

Progress Report after four badges... Poor Wartortle, with the last three gyms either resisting water or doing super effective damage to water, you've just lost your place on the team. Granted it has done its fair share of work in trainer battles and led the way through almost all of Rock Tunnel, but it just hasn't been nearly as helpful as the others recently. Sadly, I don't see this changing, since the next time it'll really shine in a gym won't be until we reach Blaine. Beedrill, you have really come into your own. In the previous gyms, you were kind of lagging behind the others in terms of use, but man, you did a lot of work again Surge and you took out nearly every trainer in the Celadon Gym on your own. Ever since learning Twineedle, you've really become a force to be reckoned with and when paired up with Focus Energy, you've managed more crits than the entire rest of the team combined. I used to be under the belief that Beedrill was awful in the first generation games, but after using you, I've really switched my position on this. You're no competitive battler, but you've earned a spot on any playthrough team of mine, buddy. Wigglytuff has really remained the team's anchor. I can call you in and in almost any situation you can come up with a win. That combination of STAB Tri-Attack and Mega Punch gives you some devastating power, and you can still KO a lot of opponent in a single hit. Not much else to say here, thanks to your decent attack stat and high HP, you've helped us out of some tough spots and it is appreciated! Primeape you are the one Pokemon that one of our group I had never trained before. I wasn't sure what to expect going in, but you've certainly earned your place on the team. You went from being the weakest of the bunch to tied with Kukirihime for the second highest level. You may not have the best defensive stats, but I can work with a glass cannon. Thanks to the addition of Rock Slide and Submission, you can hit hard and have a bit better type coverage. I can certainly see you only becoming more valuable as our journey continues. |
Oh ok - You may use Abomasnow than- And double posting is still against rules..

Update after five badges (and then some)... Well, it's been awhile, but it's time to get back to work with this Persona challenge. Well, after defeating Erika it was time to deal with the Team Rocket base under the game corner. Thankfully these Rocket grunts provided me with an opportunity to get a little more experience before facing Giovanni for the first time. After making short work of him, it was time to head to the Pokemon Tower, where I was in for a rude awakening. The Pokemon Tower was awful. Half my team was dead weight in the area, with Wigglytuff not being able to hit Ghosts, Primape only have Rock Slide that he could us against them, and Beedrill could only hit them with Twineedle, which was not very effective. Thankfully this gave my an opportunity to finally spend some time with Wartorle, which bumped him up to 35 by the time we were finished with the area. I defeated Team Rocket once again and rescued Mr. Fuji and then it was time to head south. I rushed to Fushia City, since I wanted to get Surf and finish my team, so I avoided as many trainers as possible on the way. I made short work of Snorlax, thanks to Primeape, and Wartortle finally evolved to Blastoise before we arrived in Fushia. After arriving there, I immediately went to the Safari Zone and worked my way through to find HM 03 and the Gold Teeth. With Surf and Strength at my disposal, I headed off to fight Koga and claim my fifth badge. Little did I know, that skipping all of those trainers would almost be my undoing. The battles in the gym were tough, nearly every Pokemon I fought was higher level of most of my team. I must have forgotten just how big of a jump there was from Erika to Koga. I was really concerned with my chances against Koga, but I was able to survive thanks to the AI wanting to use Explosion on their final Pokemon. With Koga defeated (barely) I was able to acquire my fifth badge and TM06. After gaining the badge, I wanted to finish out my team before taking a break. So, I hopped on my bike and rode from Fushia back up to the Power Plant were I was able to capture my fifth Pokemon, a Magnemite, so I captured it and Dominion joined the team. After catching it, I used and escape rope to go back to Fushia City and headed south. I kept along the west edge of the map to ensure I avoided trainers and could get to Seafoam Island easily. Once arriving, I dropped down as far as I could go and then went up one level to get to the room with the highest encounter rate for Seel, but luck was with my again. The first encounter on that floor was a Dewgong, the rarest encounter on that floor of the cave, which allowed me to have a Dewgong that was already on par with the rest of my team. I know I'm going to need to go back and fight some of these trainers that I skipped in order to get my team leveled up to where they need to be and then it'll be onto Sabrina and the Marsh Badge. |
