Got my first badge, so here's my official sign-up.

Username: nikkissippi121
Game: Alpha Sapphire
Optional Rules: Shiny and duplicate Pokemon are exceptions to the "first encounter rule"; all Pokemon must be nicknamed; playing in German (which I know only a little of) to increase difficulty

Here's my team:
Ivy - female - Treecko>Grovyle - Lv. 16 - Starter - Quick Attack, Mega Drain, Absorb & Fury Cutter
Duorm - male - Wurmple>Cascoon - Lv. 9 - Route 101 - Tackle, String Shot, Poison Sting & Harden
Yena - female - Poochyena - Lv. 9 - Route 103 - Tackle, Howl & Sand Attack
Tox - male - Cascoon>Dustox - Lv. 10 - Petalburg Woods - Harden & Gust

Deceased:
Lucky - male - Lotad - Lv. 7 - Route 102 - Astonish, Growl & Absorb (died battling the Twins on Route 104)

UPDATE - Beat Brawley. No new deaths, so here's my team:
Ivy - female - Treecko>Grovyle - Lv. 19 - Starter - Quick Attack, Mega Drain, Pursuit & Fury Cutter
Duorm - male - Wurmple>Cascoon>Dustox - Lv. 12 - Route 101 - Tackle, Gust, Poison Sting & Confusion
Yena - female - Poochyena - Lv. 12 - Route 103 - Tackle, Howl, Sand Attack & Bite
Tox - male - Cascoon>Dustox - Lv. 13 - Petalburg Woods - Harden, Gust & Confusion
Cade - male - Nincada - Lv. 8 - Route 116 - Scratch, Harden, Leech Life & Cut
Mina - female - Whismur - Lv. 10 - Rusturf Tunnel - Pound, Echoed Voice & Astonish

Username: AoTora
Game: Light Platinum
Optional Rules: Shiny clause and dupes clause were in effect all Pokemon must be nicknamed.

Anyways - I am done with first part of the game but I am going to do the aftergame too. With different team - I had 21 deaths so far D:

Anyways I chose bulbasaur (used RNG for that because I got to choose starter screen before I could look at my ID - It later died as a venusaur but he was the champion in the water gym!)
- Caught some completly random encounters and missed a lot of them aswell.
- Obtained a lot of freebies that I couldn't nickname so there was a lot of running back and forth between nickname rater and the destination I was supposed to be at.

My longest companion was espeon- I got him as an egg pretty early :3 Saddest death? Lucario because he died to confusion - I believe that there was one ghost pokemon that mean looked me than confused me and I could only watch lucario hitting himself to death after that because I ran out of potions on him :(

The pokemon I cared about the least was Infernape though - She came in right before the elite 4 due to my lucario fainting and it took me about forever to grind her up and she just refused to learn any fighting moves - and the only move I could teach her was rock smash so yeah she wasn't as good as she could be :(

Spoiler:

Here is the first champion battle - I might post the team in details later if I have some time - I need to catch some sleep soon because it's been a long day for me :( And I gotta go build up a new team since this one is pretty much OP for the new region xD

nikkissippi121 November 28th, 2014 3:59 PM

Just beat Wattson! Here is my team:
Ivy the Grovyle - female - Lv. 29 - Starter - Quick Attack, Mega Drain, Pursuit & Leaf Blade
Mina the Whismur - female - Lv. 23 - Rusturf Tunnel - Stomp, Echoed Voice, Astonish & Supersonic
Duorm the Dustox - male - Lv. 22 - Route 101 - Gust, Confusion, Venoshock & Psybeam
Cade the Nincada - male - Lv. 17 - Route 116 - Mud-Slap, Fury Swipes, Leech Life & Cut
Pika the Cosplay Pikachu - female - Lv. 21 - Verdanturf Town - Quick Attack, Electro Ball, Thunder Wave & Icicle Crash
Bubbles the Azumarll - female - Lv. 18 - Bubble, Bubble Beam, Rock Smash & Rollout

Boxed is:
Tox the Dustox - Lv. 18 - Petalburg Woods - Moonlight, Gust, Confusion & Poison Powder

Deceased are:
Lucky the Lotad - male - Lv. 7 - Route 102 - died battling the Twins on Route 104
Makki the Makuhita - female - Lv. 14 - Granite Cave - died battling Brendan on Route 110
Yena the Poochyena - female - Lv. 15 - Route 103 - died battling Brendan on Route 110
Plusopi the Plusle - male - Lv. 12 - Route 110 - died battling Brendan on Route 110

Movement 4
Spoiler:
Grinding. Grinding EVERYWHERE. Only things notable were Berlitz putting up with close calls.
WAIT, WHAT?! NotFelony truly was not Felony...
Either I need to stop rushing in, or the wilds are getting bolder and bolder.
Moving on, we have Berlitz learn Crunch. Who needs Bite?
Okay, so it's N time.
Berlitz vs. Pidove: Crunch, Leer, Tackle, Growl, Quick Attack, Crunch. Simple as that.
Khan vs. Timburr: Rock Smash, Low Kick, Work Up, Focus Energy, Vine Whip, Leer, Low--WHAT?! Man, I got greedy.
Ika vs. Timburr: Round.
Ika vs. Tympole: Supersonic misses, Tympole lands Supersonic.
Berlitz vs. Tympole: Growl, Bubble Beam, Work Up, I Super Heal, Tympole uses Bubble Beam twice, Berlitz Crunches, another Super Potion, Bubble Beam crit and then two normal ones (ONE HP), Crunch.
Shut up, N. If I had switched out Khan, the audience in your green-haired head wouldn't be booing anyone.

~LATER, DURING MANDATORY GRINDING~

Oh, hey, a double encounter.
>Leer
No thanks. I don't want to lose anyone anymore.
Temporarily replacing Work Up with Hypnosis on Berlitz's moveset.
Can I mention how I appreciate Mud Shot having the smell of death this generation? I dunno, the animation just screams "super cool" in my eyes.

~AT THE GYM~

http://www.pkparaiso.com/imagenes/xy/sprites/animados/watchog.gif
See what's up now? This is Berlitz, but no longer a measly Patrat. Woooooo~!
Stupid Supersonic, not hitting at all for three turns. Havin' trouble there, Ika?
I thought so. Berlitz proceeded to Crunch that crazy Herdier out.
Got the Gym puzzle out of the way, and Ika nabbed Aqua Ring in place of Mud Shot! With that, though, I'll just have to take a breather to restock and restore. No matter how much I've ground, I want to believe that Lenora is out for blood - meaning if I get reckless, I may lose a 'mon or worse. UGH!

Luis the Tepig (L05~L10♂)
Critical Water Gun all over his face. Sounds like me getting cocky. Ugh!

NotFelony the Purrloin (L08~L15♂)

nikkissippi121 November 28th, 2014 8:03 PM

Sadly, my team died while battling Norman, so my Alpha Sapphire challenge is complete. Next, though, I'd like to sign up for another challenge.

Username: nikkissippi121
Game: Black 2
Optional Rules: Duplicate & Shiny clauses; must nickname all Pokemon; no evolving; last number of ID determines starter; 1-3 is Snivy, 4-6 is Tepig, 7-9 is Oshawott, and 0 is a wild card

Started game; male PC named Summer (not sure why, but that name stuck in my head for a boy - lol) and Rival is Jett; Summer's ID is 43820, so starter is a free choice (wow! I really lucked out!) and is going to be Tepig. Will update after first badge.

~Ciel~ November 29th, 2014 1:23 AM

Yish, i would like to participate please.
Username: ~Scene Dedenne~ (Soon to be cuter)
Game: Emerald
Optional rules:
-Trainer ID: 1-3 Treecko, 4-6 is Torchic and 7-9 is Mudkip, while 0 lets me choose whichever of these i want.

And here it is!
My name is Kaitlyn so my player is named Kaitlyn (which makes perfect fit to the last letter hehe)
I did all the boring stuff with norman on TV and meeting Brendan.
Yay, last digit 1, meaning Treecko is my starter!
Didn't to know what to go for, and named him Spike!
Caught a Poochyena and named it Pride.

And that's all basically! ~
Goodluck to me!

Anvils Alive November 29th, 2014 10:11 AM

I did get the Basic Badge last night, but I stupidly lost Ika to Herdier's Take Down - Berlitz proceeded to wrangle both that and Lenora's own Watchog.

However, the woman herself ended up getting smashed by Leech Seed and Mega Drain while I was trying to catch a Petilil. Ergoooooo, my standard White challenge has concluded. However, I do hope VoltWhite will be a bit kinder...

ACT1 ~ A New Frontier
Spoiler:
Maaaan, Drayano is so meta in the expo-intros for his hakes...
My avatar this time out is one "Yuji," named after the man who dared to program the original Sonic the Hedgehog. :U
Anywho, Yuji has an ID of 13951, so...

http://veekun.com/dex/media/pokemon/main-sprites/x-y/495.png
Meet Raphael, the Contrary Snivy with a heart of gold...
...who proceeds to bop Bianca's Oshawott with a heaping helping of Tackle.
Same happened to Cheren's Tepig, what with Raph gaining the dandy-handy Vine Whip.
Serious and somewhat va--er...edgy, eh? Sounds about right. I AM ALL I AM, AAAAALL EYYYYE AAAAAAM~
Because you can't NOT ride a bike everywhere you should. :V
My first catch is a Lillipup, whom we'll call Shibe. Such nature, many Pickup, wow.
After we ground up to at least L7 (Raph being one higher), we listened to Ghetsis' little talk about how Pokémon and humans relate.
We took N out like the trash shortly after.
Did I mention Shibe earned the team a free Great Ball? Pickup is like a whole early Christmas, I tell ya what.
Route 2 nets us a Wurmple, named Power Girl because both of its final forms can spell power. Not that it can't be super slang for Kara "Karen Starr" Zor-L.
Speaking of which, PG quickly became a Cascoon...and then a Dustox. Gud.
Bianca's Meowth gave Shibe a bit of trouble, but Oshawott only took a Whip, Leer, and Whip.
Now that we've hit Striaton, we'll call it a day.

Now for Cheren!
Power Girl vs. Starly: I switch to Ocean--OW. Crit Wing Attack.

Shibe vs. Tepig: Shibe KO's with Tackle.

Shut up, Cheren. I don't need that HM, I need to expire. (funisinfinite.jpg)
In the meantime, our actual catch for Dreamyard is a female Nidoran, which we'll name The Queen.
HOSHIFT. THE CRITS. THEY COME.
Also, Natu are particularly murderous with Air Cutter as early as L10.

~GYM, WITH EVERYONE AT L13~
Waiter Maxwell went down with ease.
I also wiped the smile off of Waitress Tia's face.
There's Cilan doin' the intro thing with his brothers. What nice men!
Since I picked Snivy, we'll be facing Cress.
Ocean vs. Tepig
  • Chili rotates to Charmander, Ocean uses Hone Claws, Charmander uses Scratch.
Ocean vs. Charmander

  • Ocean uses Water Pulse, Charmander uses Dragon Dance.
  • Chili heals Charmander, Ocean uses Cut.

Ocean vs. Pansear
  • I heal Ocean, Pansear uses Nasty Plot.
  • Chili rotates to Cyndaquil, Ocean KO's with Water Pulse.
Ocean vs. Chimchar
  • Chili rotates to Pansear, Ocean confuses with Water Pulse, Pansear hits himself.
Ocean vs. Pansear
  • Chili rotates to Chimchar, Chimchar uses Fake Out.
Ocean vs. Chimchar
  • Chili rotates to Torchic, Ocean KO's with Water Pulse, Chili rotates to Pansear.
Ocean vs. Pansear
  • Pansear hits himself, Ocean KO's with Water Pulse.
Ocean vs. Chimchar
  • And a final Water Pulse does the job!
Taught Ocean and Shibe the inevitable Work Up. Also, The Queen has HP Ground. Pretty naff when she can learn Earth Power and Earthquake.
Done for the time being, soooo I'll just stop outside of Fennel's pad.

Apart from the paraflinch Ekans, the Plasma grunts at the Dreamyard went down without a hinch.

~ONE ROUTE LATER~
Hey, The Queen evolved into Nidorina! I'm liking this a lot.
Okay, time for more Cheren...sigh.
Shibe vs. Staravia
  • Staravia uses Wing Attack, Shibe uses Work Up.
  • Staravia uses Wing Attack, Shibe uses Bite.
  • I switch out to The Queen, Staravia uses Wing Attack.
The Queen vs. Staravia
  • Staravia uses Wing Attack, The Queen uses Lovely Kiss.
  • Despite sleeping, Staravia dodges The Queen's Double Kick.
  • The Queen uses Double Kick, but leaves Staravia with a sliver of HP.
  • Staravia wakes up to Double Team, but falls to Poison Sting anyway.
Ocean vs. Roggenrola

  • Tepig uses Odor Sleuth, Ocean uses Water Pulse and KO's.
And with that, Shibe evolves. Despite no longer being able to hand me free items, he does get Scrappy. Where's Bite when ya need it?
There's our Route 3 catch; it's a mild Mareep named Carmen, similarly to Lady Electra herself. :U Evolved shortly after, as well!
The Wellspring Plasbads went down--WHA WHA WHAT?! WOW!
...
That settles it, Plas-boy. You double-team Carmen, I one-man-army you. At least The Queen cleaned up...
Shut. Up. You're talking like your heist victim doesn't treat their Pokémon well when you have the nerve to go and strangle my newest sis. Thaaaaaanks a lot, you monster. You made me feel ugly at gunpoint.
We bothered to save the girl's Pokes...but at what cost?!
So it seems our Wellspring catch is none other than Aron...we'll name this ooooone...ah, Double Kick was too strong. GDI, The Queen...
Naturally, we'll be having a Staryu as a Striaton catch. Namin' this dude Daydream aaaaand he has a Lax nature.
Wh-WHAT. Volbeat. Crit Thunder Shocked Ocean. Cheren wasn't kidding about the dark grass.
Shoulda switched to Power in the first place. So sorry, Ocean...
Aside from that shocker, the only problem was The Queen nearly biting it because of Nature Powered Earthquake.
To end this rollercoaster of a part, our outside-Pinwheel catch, after some beaten-up trainers, is a Spinarak. No thanks, Cookie. I already have a Dustox. Sniper is very promising, though...
