Game: Fire Red (hacked, so pokémon with trade evolutions evolve by leveling up, as I'm playing on an emulator and am therefore unable to trade) Edited evolution levels: - Kadabra>Alakazam: 32 - Haunter>Gengar: 42 - Graveler>Golem: 42 - Machoke>Machamp: 48 I based the levels on the levels the first stages evolve into their second ones. Now that I look at it though, I may have liked Haunter's, Graveler's and Machoke's evolution levels to be a little bit lower, and perhaps Kadabra's a little bit higher. Optional Rules: - Must nickname all pokémon. - Black/white out is game over. - Shiny Clause (If I encounter a shiny pokémon, I may catch it at any time. However, if I have already caught a pokémon in that area, I must either release that pokémon to replace it with the shiny or simply not use the shiny.) Also, I don't have to catch the VERY first pokémon in route 1, as it is impossible. I have to go through the grass to Viridian City to get Oak's Parcel before I'm able to get Poké Balls. That's why I started the first pokémon thing once I had obtained the 5 Poké Balls from Professor Oak. I added this (I guess you could say) "clause", because I think it would be stupid if it's literally IMPOSSIBLE to catch a pokémon in a certain area (where grass IS actually present), just because I can't get Poké Balls yet. I realised while I was training that "Hope" wasn't actually that good of a name for my Butterfree, as it wasn't at all my last hope to beat Brock. I realised soon after I wrote this update that Butterfree's Bug and Flying types were both weak against Rock (at first I thought Bug was resistant against Rock). Not only that, I also realised Charmander learns Metal Claw, which is super effective against both of Brock's pokémon. I am an idiot. Butterfree, which I renamed "Peanut", actually proved pretty useful fighting Brock's Onix, we would still have won without him though, it would only have been a little harder. Anyway, let's continue with the update.

You Should add an Ultimate Challengers and Champions section, cause I plan on going for that. I normally don't do Nuzlocke's correctly. I tend to catch a lower amount of Pokemon to keep them high leveled and less grinding, but I plan on doing it correctly now.
Username: Puddle Game: Fire Red Additional Rules: You must nickname all of your Pokemon. (highly recommended) A black out/white is a "game over," even if there are Pokémon left in the PC. Instead of a Comic, I will be doing a sort of Journal to correspond with each day I play. I like to keep it simple. Chapter 1 - Crit Hits and Little ♥♥♥♥s Spoiler:
Chapter 2: Lucky Moments So, we left off at the beginning of Mt. Moon. I'm chucking through Mt. Moon when all of a sudden a Rattata uses Quick attack on me and crit hits Sparky to 1hp. PHEWWW. I thought he was done. I manage to defeat the rocket members and the scientist with ease. I retrieve my Dome Fossil and I'm on my way out of there. Right when I get out, I heal up, buy some Pokeballs and tackle the route that I just came from. I find a level 10 Spearow. I snag it and name it Fear. So, now, I guess I'm ready to face my rival, Lake. And, we are actually victorious! Thundershock against the Pidgeotto, Bites against the Rattata and Abra, and the Bulbasaur got pecked to death. It was a close match of Pokemon almost fainting, but we came out on top. I then defeat the amateur trainers on the way to Bill's house, leveling up some of my Pokemon quite a bit. And, on the way, I stumbled upon a level 14 Male oddish that I named Oliver. So, I help out that weird Pokemon thing and receive my passport to travel to Mex- The cruise ship. And I decide it's time to tackle Misty ;). She was incredibly easy. Two Thundershocks and 3 Bites later and I have myself a badge. It was a long fought day, and I think it's time to rest. Game: Yellow Addiitonal Rules: - Nickname everything - Dupes - Shiny clause? lol what shinies? (b**ch please, I'm too oldskool) - Trading is blanket-banned - no trade evos are permitted So yeah, I thought I'd do a Yellow Nuzlocke. Yellow is notoriously difficult to Nuzlocke due to the ludicrously high-level Gym leaders in the second half of the game, the horrible wild Pokemon distribution, and of course that level 63 Dragonite. So let's get happening! This will be done as a sort of Journal layout; as such, it will not be particularly detailed in terms of blow-by-blow battle accounts, with the exception of the Elite Four. It will simply detail my progress, my team (including movesets), boxed and dead Pokemon at each interval, and any specific events or important items I gain in each area. Should be easy enough to follow. The format for each catch in an area is as follows: Route or Area name - Pokemon and Encountered level - method of obtaining (caught, gift, etc) - Nickname OR Route or Area name - Pokemon and Encountered level - Killed, (cause of death) Note: If you see this on Neoseeker, that is because my username is SpaceWalker there - I am NOT stealing someone else's work. Game: Red version, Yellow version, Crystal version, FireRed version. Additional rules: nickname all, dupe clause, shiny clause if possible. Healing limit per PokéCenter is 10. I had to restart due to identification on my Bulbasaur changed. So now I started again, this time Charmander. I also want to do yellow version and FireRed and Crystal. Will be busy over the weekend with all four games to do my challenge so will be uploading a html based webpage on Monday central America time. Starting on games now. |

I hope this doesn't get taken the wrong way, but in order to continually use this thread, the original poster should update for Challengers (or just Champions, which i recommend). This hasn't been done since January 30, which I think is more than a little while.
I'm here for a different reason: to sign up again! I need Challenges! Name: GucciMeme Game: Sacred Gold (Drayano's 493 and difficulty hack for HeartGold) Progress: At three badges right now, heading into Ecruteak. |

Not sure if someone can take ownership, or if a new thread needs to be created. I'll ask the mod :) |
Vappy is a good person. I'm sure when he can get to it he will. Maybe Syd can make someone temporarily in charge if he's having trouble but does plan on coming back.
Edit: Good on, ya, Superstrength79! I'm sure you'll do a great jorb! |

Ok, folks. I am taking over the reins for this thread (until Vaporeon7 comes back and gives me a noogie for ownership).
I have today off from work, so I'll put a big dent in the updates for everyone :) EDIT: All updated! Please PM me if I missed anything (completion of a challenge, or the start of one) |
Well, here we go! Part 5 is here, the finale of this horrifically death-filled run! This is a long one, so let's get started!
Quote:
HALL OF FAME: TEAM ANALYSIS http://www.smogon.com/download/sprites/rb/51.pngJeff (Dugtrio) Lv 55 - Slash, Dig, Earthquake, Sand Attack - A fast, powerful Dig, Slash and Earthquake made him a vital part of my team throughout the game, most notably assisting in Giovanni's and Nate's demise. One of the only two members of my original team to survive both Cinnabar Island and Giovanni's onslaught. http://www.smogon.com/download/sprites/rb/97.pngMarcus (Hypno) Lv 53 - Psychic, Mega Kick, Hypnosis, Dream Eater - Definitely MVP of the Elite Four, single-handedly annihilating Agatha's team with its massively powerful combination of Hypnosis, Dream Eater and Psychic, as well as flawlessly taking down Lance's feared Dragonite. http://www.smogon.com/download/sprites/rb/3.pngWayne (Venusaur) - Lv 53 - Razor Leaf, Leech Seed, Double-Edge, Cut - Great starter, blowing through the early gyms solo; in the E4, his overpowered STAB critical Razor Leaf walked through Bruno's team and much of Lorelei's, too. Also gets props for being the only original team member aside from Dugtrio to survive the last few hours prior to entering Victory Road. http://www.smogon.com/download/sprites/rb/121.pngSophia (Starmie) - Lv 54 - Surf, Psychic, Thunderbolt, Ice Beam - Great stats and move compatability meant she was ready for anything. While Marcus ended up being the workhorse when it came to beating Dragonite, Starmie still proved her worth against the rest of Lance's team, much of Lorelei's team, and of course was instrumental in the flawless defeat of Mewtwo. http://www.smogon.com/download/sprites/rb/142.pngColin (Aerodactyl) - Lv 53 - Fly, Sky Attack, Bite, Take Down - Damn if this flying terror didn't clean house better than Lawrence (RIP) ever did. Sky Attack along with his massive speed allowed him to take down a lot of potentially dangerous Pokemon like Alakazam and Exeggutor without a second thought. http://www.smogon.com/download/sprites/rb/66.pngThomas (Machop) - Lv 17 - Karate Chop, Strength - The best strength slave a moderately murderous psychopath could ask for! |
