Pokemon Count.
How many Pokemon do you like using in your party?
I've noticed that it seems to be pretty hard to keep your Pokemon balanced, and yet strong, while using all 6 Pokemon. I tend to really only use 3 or 4 Pokemon or so. I'll use more if I like more and they would help, but if not, then nope. |
I will use 6 pokemon in party cause some of them may help when my awesome pokemon dead~
or sometime i lose control and i juz choose 1 pokemon as my party, become a great solo-er challenger :) |
I like using two pokemon, but if there 're not available the pokemon that I want I may choose more.
I always use 6 pokemon. It takes me a while to catch all 6 that I want for my team but always have 6 pokemon by the 3rd-4th gym usually. Wish I could have more. >__<
I always have all six party slots filled, once I catch my sixth Pokémon early on in the game. Every so often, I would box an older Pokémon that I caught early on in my journey in favor of something I just caught that had been sent to the PC box. Of course, it's difficult to have a well-balanced team with the limit of six, especially now that there's 18 types (even back in Generation I, where there was just 15, it was still difficult). Among the types I usually would have in my party are: Flying, Electric, Rock/Ground, Water (or Water/Ice), and Grass.
I choose very carefully my team when a new game comes out. But one thing is always the same, I want to end up having 6 of my favorite Pokemon and one of them is always my beloved Walrein :). I'm picky when it comes to who's in my party haha.
I use all six slots. I usually don't train all my Pokémon at once, though; I do them one-by-one. When I'm done training one Pokémon, I'll move onto the next. Once I'm done with that one, I'll move onto another.
I plan out my team at the start of each of my playthroughs, and once I catch that sixth pokémon, I keep that team of six all the way through to the end.
It depends for me. I usually use 6, but for my White version, I only had 5.
5 usually. On most games that I played I tend to add in a 6th slot exclusively for HM slave Pokemon.
Depends on the generation.
In 4th Gen (namely Sinnoh) I tend to have one HM Slave (mainly a Bibarel) and the other five being main attackers. 5th and 6th Gen though, I pretty much kept all my party members being main battlers and not filling a specific HM purpose, by splitting the HMs between team members. |
I fill in all 6 of my team slots. I don't like going any less than 6 Pokemon in the team once I catch my 6th Pokemon.
I usually have a full party, but only really rely on a core group of about 4 with the other 2 being just filler.
For example, In BW, my team was Chanduler, Stoutland, Conkeldur and Krookodile. I used those guys the most. The other guys where there because I needed them on me, which was Tranquil, and Vanilluxe. Tranquil, because I ALWAYS have a Flyer on my team.. and Vanilluxe because there was so many dragons to deal with. Granted I would swap one of them out for a "guest character" like I used a Druddigon for the Dragon Gym to assist Vanilli.. and a Ducklett for the Ground Gym.. as well as the occasional HM roadblock. Its funny, but it seems like I almost never carry my Starter all the way through anymore.. well, except in XY. After I get them fully evolved, I tend to mothball them. |
I use a lot of pokemon, sometimes i use all of my pokemon from the PC too and just swap. But i mostly use 12-18 pokemon, with 3 sets of 6 that i change from time to time.
I try to always have six in my party, even if I don't regularly use all of them, since I don't like catching a weak Pokemon and having it there right away.
Usually, in Generation III I would only use like 3-4 Pokémon on some occasions to zip through the game. Sometimes five.
But in Generation IV I would often use five or six, five often in HGSS, six in DPPt. And in my early playthroughs of BW I usually used five, but when playing through BW2 I almost always had a full team of six. When I first played through X, I used quite a few different Pokémon but there were six I settled on in the end. That game just wants you to use tons of stuff. |
I tend to keep my party full, but I usually only use about 3 of the Pokemon in it, I don't usually have a team planned, I just go with what I get and swap out if I get something better. Like, I had a Butterfree in Y, but I ended up swapping it for Lapras which ended up being more essential (I had a pretty overpowered team at that point, mind you. Lucario, Blaziken, Venusaur, Delphox, and Pidgeot, so Butterfree became a place holder until I got something better, really.)
I like using all 6 slots (or if there we more slots, fill them in). Even if I caught a Pokemon I don't mind going back to the Pokemon Center to check out info. Also per DowntownDumpling.
Most games I try using the full party of 6 to my advantage by training them equally, though I did make use of an HM Slave in Platinum, and swapped it out for Uxie once I hit the Elite Four.
I've tried a new strategy in Y though, where I've got 8 Pokemon that are interchangeable parts in my team, and are dependant on what Gym Leader I'm facing, etc. By the time I make it to the Elite Four, I'll expect to have figured out my top 6, based on both their typings, and how much I've liked using them. |
I usaully have 3-4 pokemon on my team for main-story wise.
I always max out my six slots. Sometimes I find pokemon I want to use for a while in-game, so may I go up to actively using 8-9 pokemon, swapping them around.
I use all of my 6 team slots in Pokemon games. By the time I reach the Elite Four, I always make sure I can cover every type.
wow, I nvr thought of having less than 6 lol. I guess it's cuz ever since gen 1 the idea is, there are 6 slots, so you must fill all of them in order to be playing the game correctly. But it does make sense to have less to make them stronger. Ill have to try 3 or 4 some day!
I always fill the available six slots when playing. The minimum number of Pokémon I use would be six, the maximum has been nine back in Pokémon Black version. I spent a lot of time inside Victory Road training before I had the team I wanted to take with me to the Elite Four strong enough.. ¬¬ |
I always tend to find myself with 5 Pokemon by the time I take on the League. I usually have an HM slave with me, and even keep it in the party for the League battles. That one free turn of healing has helped me on so many occasions.
