It is GTO lite. I like it.

derozio December 31st, 2014 9:51 AM

>compared to GTO

with almost no other competition from other animu in its season (apart from i guess drrrx2 if it does something extraordinary or from that yuri kuma anime from penguindrum's creator), it'll probably end up AOTS for me. GTO lite would still be pretty damn great, you know.

Weeaboo Name December 31st, 2014 9:55 AM

I did say 'lite'. Wouldn't be surprised if I like 9 or 10 of those other shows I listed more tbh, it will be fun though.

derozio December 31st, 2014 10:16 AM

yeah but 'lite' GTO still sounds better than most stuff in winter 2015 to me tbqh.

Spring will be THE bomb, though. I can't wait for it. I even have my term ends then. But I wouldn't care.

I'm downloading Garo, btw. That tokusatsu show by MAPPA with weird CGI armor thingies and that opening where jamproject yells the title name three times, I mean. Been recommended by a bunch of people and it seems to be getting a new season + movie already so yeah.

SPRING SUCKS

BETTER WATCH TOKYO GHOUL

derozio December 31st, 2014 10:23 AM

I'd rather read Tokyo Ghoul. People have praised it a lot. Some even went ahead and called it a novel-esque work due to how well done the story in it was. The anime was just bad but I'm really hoping the manga somehow ends up being as good as people call it. Already downloaded all of it. Will read it on my 27 hour journey back to college in train.

Or you could read something good.

If you look hard enough people complement most series.

I'm not actually fussy but people on PC really do seem to enjoy that small section of stuff I don't like. I don't understand.

Have fun being the next roriconfan.

He's disgustingly casual for a guy that has seen everything. All that gore and pretentiousness.

It's like he just went and watched down the list, alphabetically. He must have been pretty bored for the most part.

Weeaboo Name December 31st, 2014 7:50 PM

He watches everything and then tells everybody how much he hates it. Truly a great anime reviewer.

You would have thought he'd be able to spot bad shows by now.

[HorribleSubs] Tsukimonogatari - (01-04) [720p].mkv

Oh hey, I had forgotten about this. I still haven't watched the one that was released at the beginning of 2014. Guess I'll wait for better subs and then have a little marathon.

Akiba December 31st, 2014 8:17 PM

Do you only have a 720p monitor?

Weeaboo Name December 31st, 2014 8:32 PM

Crunchy rip 1080p isn't true 1080p, they look the same or worse than 720p. Not to mention I am not watching shaft shows from them with their text formatting.

Akiba December 31st, 2014 8:39 PM

Eh. I compared them once, and 1080p seemed slightly better. Of course it isn't true 1080p.

Weeaboo Name December 31st, 2014 8:43 PM

Perhaps it varies from show to show but all of the comparisons I have seen have make 720p the better option.

Avoid HS whenever you can though, even if other groups just edit their subs you will usually get better image quality waiting a little longer.

1080p for bluray rips though when possible, of course.

Akiba December 31st, 2014 8:46 PM

Maybe it is so. Blu-Ray requires too much waiting though.

Weeaboo Name December 31st, 2014 8:55 PM

If you are willing to download crap hs 1080 at 500-700mb per episode then I don't really see why you wouldn't download true bluray rips. You can quite easily download the episodes in sequential order if your broadband is poor and watch as you download.

Not sure how I would live without my 135gb Cardcaptor Sakura release.

Akiba December 31st, 2014 9:38 PM

Point taken. But my internet can handle it.

Spoiler:
I mainly end up seeding, because my torrents get added automatically from HS.

Weeaboo Name December 31st, 2014 10:29 PM

If it can handle one it can handle the other.

Truly awful, you might as well stream.
