Okay, my bad. But no one gets to do the project because you can't do it? Bro. I so object.

Our admin team is great, we can handle the project and everything if you need a break, my man.

Ok tek and venitardus can take over till may

Ok, that's fine. If you need a break, take a break man. That's why it's goo to have 1 or 2 co-owners. We're here to help.

And to answer hat Pokémon we should breed for next month, I'd say some type of Pokémon that can be considered a flower.

Demon Wolf April 11th, 2014 6:38 PM

Thx quick suggestion florges evolution line

Tek April 14th, 2014 5:53 AM

I've got the parents ready for my allergy-inducing Shroomish. They're both Hasty, the father is x|31|x|31|31|31 and the mother is x|31|x|31|x|31.

They're at Lv 20 now. After I get them to Lv 45, into the Daycare they go. I'm going to use my False Swipe TM on the father rather than try to chain breed the move.

Venitardus April 15th, 2014 1:47 PM

Ive been debating on breeding a bulbasaur for egg moves or a turtwig w/ Egg moves.

Demon Wolf April 15th, 2014 3:39 PM

Turtwig would do and im almost done with recovery lol

The Poké-Daycare... It always drags you back in.

Speaking of which, if we do a May flower project, I think I will make a Sunkern.

Demon Wolf April 16th, 2014 1:08 AM

I might do turtwig or a chikorita

Venitardus April 16th, 2014 12:15 PM

I decided to do turtwig for May, and it have already finished it. (Started breeding it for egg moves last week.)

Tek April 16th, 2014 12:41 PM

Er, how is Turtwig a flower Pokémon? A tree grows out of its back.

Oops. I ment to say for a day, but my phone must of changed it to May for some reason... (I've been breeding oddish though for the May project)

Sorry for the mix up. But I've been busy at work so I couldn't do this as a one day thing. Attachment 71647

Demon Wolf April 20th, 2014 6:13 AM

Its not too late 2 join every1 is welcome :D

Tek April 25th, 2014 7:27 PM

Well, April's deadline approaches. How is everyone coming along? Except for Mr. Overachiever-who-finished-the-first-week. We know how you're doing.

I'm kidding, of course, Venitardus! We love to see the breedxors, so go crazy! Nice Turtwig, btw. With a great moveset like that, I would almost choose it over Piplup. Which is saying a lot, because Piplup's the only one of those starters that I like, and I like it a lot! I recently traded for a Japanese Piplup, so at some point I'm going to be breeding for a shiny. Not sure why, but I really want a shiny one...

As for my False Swipe + Spore Shroomish, I have made very little progress since my last check-in. Been busy trying to knock challenges out. But (un)fortunately, there's going to be a lot of rain next week, which means I won't be working much, which means more time for PokéBreeding!

Miau April 25th, 2014 11:37 PM

Aw man, I'm late again... I'll have mine ready by tomorrow night, hopefully I can come up with something nice.

Guys, there's been an interesting egg moves question over at the X/Y quick Q&As yesterday, starting here. Basically, always have the important egg moves last in the parent's moveset ;)

Demon Wolf April 26th, 2014 5:03 AM

Its ok miau its ending june 1st like the may project so dont worry

Sap Sipper

Nature:
Jolly (+Spe/-Sp. Atk)

IVs: 31/31/31/xx/31/31

Camouflage
Synthesis ✿
Baton Pass ✿

I kinda wanted to breed an Easter Pokemon, like Togepi or maybe Buneary or Bunnelby, but I figured it's already been a week since Easter, so I went for a cute spring Pokemon. And what says spring better than Spring Deerling, right? First I got a few Deerling off the GTS; one of the Japanese females had Baton Pass as an egg move, and luckily Sap Sipper and Jolly. I just had to pass down the perfect IVs starting with one of my Chespin, who also happened to have Synthesis. And that's how I got this pretty girl :)

I'll make sure to post a picture later.

[EDIT] Forgot to say I happened to hatch an identical male Deerling, anyone want it?

Hi there!

Name: PhantomWolf
Partner pokemon: Fletchinder (For fly and flame body), Shiny Zigzagoon "Pumpkin Pie" (For luck)
Current topic: A spring pokemon to me is one that has flowers, plants or vibrant spring colors in its design (Budew, Deerling, etc), or is pure or part Grass type (Turtwig, Bulbasaur)

For the may project, i will be breeding a grass type pokemon with 5 ivs and with at least 1 egg move, but i dont know which one... (I was thinking either petlil or roselia)

Demon Wolf April 27th, 2014 1:41 PM

You and me both. I've been breeding oddish for egg moves.

PhantomWolf April 28th, 2014 7:43 PM

I just finished breeding and evolving my roserade!

ROSERADE LVL 1 Male
Nature: Timid
31/xx/31/31/31/31
Ability: Natural Cure
Moves:, Weather ball, sleep powder, sludge bomb, leaf storm

I used a snivy x bulbasaur to get leaf storm onto a male bulbasaur, and had a bulbasaur with sleep powder bredd with a roselia to get the egg move, then bred the bulbasaur with leaf storm to get leaf storm and sleep powder. Finally after switching many roselia x roselia/oddish x roselia pairings... I got my roserade! (i had to use the global link to get the shiny stone)

Thank you, i just finished super training him today. His nickname is WaroftheRose.

EDIT: Now that my may project is out of the way, i can now focus on setting up my goal for the june project. I was thinking about breeding a pokemon found in the coastal kalos pokedex (IE: Wingull). I was thinking that i should breed a lapras with 31 ivs in everything but speed and a careful nature. As for egg moves, i was thinking avalanche, sleep talk and curse.

Looks really nice. Does the female you use for breeding have Water Absorb? When the Pokemon has two regular abilities, there's an 80% chance that the egg will hatch with the mother's ability.

Here's my Shroomish for April's project. After i raised both parents to Lv 45, I found out that Breloom can't learn False Swipe. So a Paras became the father, and I have lot of money from thrashing the E4 over and over.

Poison Heal Shroomish
Hasty Male Lv 1
Absorb/False Swipe/Spore/-
Above Average x|x|x|x|x|31

I have one with Outstanding 2V one as well, but it's Quirky.

I know it's a bit late. Am I fired?

If you want to do all of that, you can. I generally go for at least one perfect IV, a helpful nature, and an egg move or two.

But the only requirement for the project is pick a Pokemon that fits the theme.

Velveteenwolf May 5th, 2014 5:48 AM

Hey guys, I was wondering if having 31 ivs hinders a Pokemon. Here is my plan for the Maracus:
Nature: Careful
Moves:
Wood Hammer
Petal Blizzard
Solar Beam
Giga Drain
All max pp
252 speed/252 Defence/ 4 Hp
31 iv in all stats

Let me know if you see an error, or if the moves should focus more on defeatong super effective pokemons or if this would take to long to complete the challenge. Thanks for the feed back!

If u r talking about egg moves then sure u can do all that

Tek May 21st, 2014 3:19 AM

Did some breeding for a challenge I'm taking.

Sis' the Solrock
Adamant
Confusion/Light Screen/Embargo/Rock Slide

Brother the Lunatone
Modest
Confusion/Reflect/Embargo/Psychic

Sedna the Snorunt
Naive Female
Disable/Hail/Weather Ball/Shadow Ball
Relatively Superior x|x|x|31|x|31

The pair of rocks were bred using Ditto, and the Snorunt had a German Castform as its father. I hatched about twenty or thirty Snorunt eggs, but no shiny.

Velveteenwolf May 24th, 2014 9:21 AM

Hey, just wanted to update on Maracus. Im now breading a 5 iv male Maracus that is holding Destiny Knot with Careful nature, Ability water absorb and the move woodhamer with a previous female Maracus that is holding a Everstone with the iv im missing, Careful nature and ability water absorb. Almost there, then I can start ev training. Ive learn a lot about breeding. Its fun when you get good results and even if it goes wrong its fun to try to figure out how to fix it. Will teach moves while ev training.

Great job on your Maractus, keep it up! In case you aren't already, you can use this IV breeding calculator to compute the odds of getting your 5IV Maractus.

I've been breeding a few Lure Ball Oddish just now. The mother is a Bellossom that I used to beat the League in SoulSilver and that I transferred all the way to X. I caught it in a Lure Ball as an Oddish in Ilex Forest, and it turned out to have some ridiculous IVs for a wild Pokemon, 00/02/31/31/15/31. The father is a 5IV Italian Venusaur that I traded for here on the forums. The bad news is that almost all of the offspring have that horrible HP from the mother, but the good news is that I just got a 31/xx/31/31/31/xx female and I'll be replacing Bellossom right away.

Velveteenwolf May 24th, 2014 1:03 PM

Thanks for the calculator! I was actually looking for one that was current and included the Destiny Knot. I will be using it more often. I meant that I already have the 5 iv Maracus and Im now trying to bread a 6 iv Maracus, more than one would be great. Sorry, should have been more clear. Good luck with Oddish! Its one of my favorite pokemon. Then again I like all the pokemon, they each have their own quirks and personality.

I used some 3 iv Dittos I caught from a Friend Safari and It turns out the Maracus I caught from Unova had 2 ivs already. I also used some new Maracus to bread in ivs and keep the Nature, Ability and the move Woodhamer.

Egg moves can only be passed down from a parent, through breeding. In gen VI, a pokemon can re-learn an egg move it used to know, but it can't acquire new egg moves this way.

On another note, I bred a box of Psyduck from international parents. No shiny yet. I will not rest until I have a blue Psyduck!

Miau June 8th, 2014 3:21 PM

Guys, what are we doing for June? Was it flower Pokemon, or...? I want to breed something, but I don't know what. So suggestions are very welcome ^^

Good luck on your shiny hunt, Tek! That blue looks great on Psyduck, I have to say. How cool would've been if shiny Golduck was golden/yellow though?

Think I need to clarify a bit say you were breeding squirtle and you had a male with 4 moves and a female with 2 different moves will the child come out knowing 6 egg moves. 4 of which would be in it's shown move pool the other 2 available to be re-learned

Miau June 9th, 2014 1:17 AM

Nope. If the male has four egg moves and the female has two different egg moves, then the baby Squirtle will have two of the father's egg moves and both of the female's egg moves. Why? That's because of the way moves are passed down: the mother's egg moves take priority over the father's.

Example: say you have a female Squirtle with Aqua Ring and Dragon Pulse, and a male Wooper with Haze, Mist, Muddy Water and Yawn, in this exact order. The father's moves will be passed down first, then the mother's. The end result: the first two of the father's will be dropped and no, they can't be relearned. I.e. Haze, Mist, Muddy Water, Yawn, Aqua Ring, Dragon Pulse.

Well summer's here now, which means many things. But one one new thing is that the pools are open again! So here's a thought: breed a Pokémon that a Swimmer uses.

Here's a list:

What do you guys think?

Quote:

Good luck on your shiny hunt, Tek! That blue looks great on Psyduck, I have to say.
Thanks, I'll need it! Glad he didn't get a poop-green sprite like a lot of Pokémon did.

Heh, that would be neat color scheme for Golduck. I kind of like Golduck's shiny as is, too. The pale blue looks nice.

Welp, I think it's time for a new topic! What game(s) do you do your breeding on? Have you always used the same game?

As for me, I currently do my breeding on HG, which is the first game I ever bothered with breeding. I actually do more breeding than battling on it now. And the battling that I have done recently was to level up my breeding pairs! But, I will soon be changing it up.

I'm going to trade my "Ditto ranch" over to my Japanese SS, so I can get custom order foreign-language parents on demand :] I've also got a ton of TMs and Heart Scales to trade over, which will be a pain, but will definitely help with breeding.

I think I will Pokébank my existing breeding pairs and trade them over to Y version (once it arrives). Except for my Shroomish-Parasect pair, since Shroomish lost False Swipe as an egg move after gen IV.

Velveteenwolf June 10th, 2014 1:17 PM

Is it too late for the flower breeding? The 6 iv Maracus is proving hard to get since ive been busy lately. The calculater says 69 eggs need to be hatched to get it. Im currently breeding in x and its the first time im actually breeding in the games.

Technically, yes, that was last month's project. You can still turn it in, of course. But I will recommend the club owner fine you 1 million dollars for being late.

Really, though: breed it up! We're here to share our breeds and breeding stories :]

mrpopo1701 June 11th, 2014 11:36 AM

I am currently trying to re-breed my current battle team but I have an idea of a swimmer pokemon I want to breed and its not difficult to get it. I just hope it wont take long to get 6 ivs on the pokemon i want. Wish me luck.

Miau June 12th, 2014 11:47 AM

What game(s) do you do your breeding on? Have you always used the same game?

I do my breeding on X, since gen 6 breeding mechanics are so great. I've got my Destiny Knot and my Everstones, and a few days ago I got the Oval Charm. All my Pokemon are there too, since I've already transported almost everything I had from gen 5. It's true that I started breeding in B2, but not long after I started getting some results, X/Y came out, and I kinda stopped playing B2 ever since.

Good luck! Are you trying to breed IVed versions of your in-game team? Just curious what they are :)

As for the swimmer Pokemon, I am so torn between all the Water-types! I'll have to think it through, haha.

What game(s) do you do your breeding on? Have you always used the same game?

I breed on Emerald, HG, Platinum, white, black 2, and both X an Y (but mostly X now until ORAS comes out)

No problem man. I haven't been active here either. But good to see you around.
Now if I read the posts above correctly, we're doing a Pokémon a swimming trainer has?. So I did a quick tentacool; just because I won't have much time for breeding.

Premier Ball Skrelp
Sassy Female Lv 1
Water Gun/Smokescreen/Water Pulse/Toxic Spikes
31 HP|x|31 DEF|31 S-ATK|x|x

I chose to pass down Toxic Spikes for use in Double Battles and such.

I've also got some non project-related breeds that I'll share later if I get a chance :]

Polar Spectrum July 3rd, 2014 4:15 AM

Oi - I'd love to be a part of the club :D

Name: Polar
Pokemon Partners: Chesnaught, Mismagius.

I spend a ludicrous amount of time breeding, with over 2-3,000 something eggs hatched, but when I get exactly what I'm shooting for it always feels worth it in a battle. I make anywhere from 1-4 different versions of pokemon I really like for battles, so breeding the right one for every build can take some time.

ie; I spent about a week breeding ralts, because I had an idea for Gallade and Gardevoir. I had to start in B/W, beause I wanted Ally Switch on one or two of them (I play doubles) and that can only be bred into the Ralts evolution line if it's TM'd on in fifth gen games. SO - I put ally switch on a female ralts with 3 IV's, transferred it up and brought it out of bank into Y, and started the lonnnng grind... I wanted a different nature for both Gallade and both Gardevoir, so everyone would have to have minimum 1 different parent. And since Gallade can be only male, and I didn't want Male Gardevoirs to compliment my Male Gallades, I had to watch Gender as well as IV's. And ability for the females, because I wanted trace over synchronize on Gardevoirs. Without rambling any longer, I eventually got the results of a Jolly Male Gallade and an Adamant Male Gallade, with Disable, Feint, and Shadow Sneak between the two of them. As well as, A timid gardevoir and a bold gardevoir (both female) with Trace, and Heal Pulse, Skill Swap, Ally Switch, and Encore between the two of them. The Gallades had 5 IV's minus Sp Atk, and the Gardevoir had 5 IV's minus Atk. They worked beautifully in their trial runs online. :')

I still have leftovers from that project if anyone wants any actually. I know it's hard to get Ally Switch onto a few things especially - with it no longer being a TM and all.

That's some story. Good to hear that your ralts came out the way you wanted them to.

And Welcome! :)

Polar Spectrum July 3rd, 2014 1:54 PM

Heh, yeahhh I put a lot of work into those two. Very satisfied with the end result though. And thank you for the welcome. ^^

Finished my minun breeding last night. I now have 1 bold minun with 5 IV's missing attack, and one timid minun with 5 IV's missing attack. Looking forward to testing them in battle later tonight.

If aaaaaanybody wants leftovers, I have a bunch - male and female - with 5 IV's. Could be good for your own Minun, or anything in the Fairy egg group.

Sushimmi July 6th, 2014 10:36 PM

I just bred a 5iv(0 in Atk), Egg move-ed, net ball, IMPISH Scatterbug. -notevengoingtocryhere-

I'm going to breed a Magikarp for the club's project. No egg moves and already got a Japanese 4IV from WT. MM'ing e a s y.

Can I do Warturtle? I want to bread it with Aqua jet, Aura sphere, dragon pulse, and Hydro pump. I might do ivs and/or evs if I can. I think the last one was too much and I didnt have the time.

Nah, Magikarp doesn't have any EMs and Rattled is useless for a competitively built Garie... I think

Velveteenwolf July 10th, 2014 11:53 AM

Great! As luck would have it, I recently wonder traded a Maracus and reacived a 3 iv male squirtle with all the egg moves I wanted on there so I now can get a Hasty nature with ivs and get it to learn Hydro Pump.

To use MM you just need a pair of compatible Pokémon that are from different regions.

Cyclone July 13th, 2014 6:47 AM

Good day folks! GT11 just ended and MIAU steered me in this direction. I guess I'm starting to get good at this stuff, so I seem to belong here ATM.

I'm not sure what it is I'm supposed to answer - unless you mean the poll; my WT results suggest Froakie, Fennekin, and Charmander (Kalos/Kanto starters), but I have more Trapinch than Chespin/Bulbasaur/Squirtle as well, and lots of Fletchling). However, my point of coming is to show off this beauty:

http://oi61.*.com/33p5vnq.jpg

And ironically, I offered it up for trade immediately and bred more. I'm just that kind of guy. So I don't have a specific partner breed, either. I breed, then Wonder Trade, then breed some more! I'm quite proud of a Shiny Sneasel (which I personally did NOT breed) that came from my 5IV two Egg Move Sneasel maybe two or three generations up the family tree; it has my Egg Move additions of Icicle Crash and Fake Out, and he added Pursuit from a Bouffalant. I feel like a proud grandfather. Wow, I feel old.

Aha...you know they are caught in hordes, right? Arbok wasn't bad (second horde, rain was a pain however), Starly took me a solid hour just to find that second horde...and Lombre just didn't want to be found (it finally came after Starly), so I got 'em all. Picked up the HA Poliwag on its fifth horde during the Lombre search, and HA Lombre took to its own fifth horde over two days to appear.

EDIT: I almost forgot! I created the Cyclone Egg Challenge™. I breed Eggs. You randomly choose Eggs. You play the game from the time you get a Pokédex using only those Pokémon (except where you are given Lucario and have to use it, and Lapras to go across the water on Route 12, and I also allow for a Fly user for the Lumiose/Geosange events provided it goes back in the PC right away; I'd also allow a baby to be caught and kept in the PC and given to the guy who dies after you become Champion).

I was lazy and impatient. Sorry you had to get it the legit way >_<" ... but I didn't get it anyway.

Do you want a magikarp?

Cyclone July 15th, 2014 5:31 AM

Haha, I think I have a 5IV Magikarp from WT somewhere in my Bank. Gave me a laugh when I checked it.

Sabeleyes July 15th, 2014 11:01 AM

I am now qt the post game of my pokemon Y which now means i can focus on some breeding,

I am starting a breeding project to start maybe a trade shop so I can hopefully get some shinies and good IV to trade and giveaway.

Im not the best breeder ever but I still am pretty good so hopefully it should work :3 Wish me luck.

Name: Rabbit
Pokémon Partners: Bulbasaur and Mudkip

I'm new to this community and somewhat new to breeding. I have started on a little project in breeding the starter Pokémon from each region. The only ones that I am currently missing are Chimchar, Piplup, and Tepig. I began with Bulbasaur and currently have two 6IV Males of Adamant Nature. I am working toward getting other Natures as well. Any advice or general conversations are completely welcome to me, so feel free!

Zal July 15th, 2014 9:38 PM

Hi! n.n May I sign up here?

UN: Zal, Name: Vesta
Partner: Salamence
Current Topic: I currently breed on Pokemon Y. Im actually sort of brand new to breeding for IV's and HAs and Natures and whatnot, but so far I feel Ive been succesful! I just finished breeding Heracross and after quite a bit I ended up with an Adamant Heracross with 6 IVS and Moxie! I yelled when I IV checked it in Kiloude. .-. and then I saw a link to this club today and thought Id share it with you all. I dont have a picture right now but when I get home I can show you all! n.n

I do hope Im doing this post right? I dont mean to stick out in the middle of your club's forum.
