FROZEN. I LOVE THAT MOVIE <333

Anyways, you know I'm joining this, gurl.

Username: Axeliira
Favorite movie(s): I'm more of a classic movie gal. The Breakfast Club is my all-time favorite. Alongside that I like Mr. Deeds, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Grease 1 & 2, Sixteen Candles, Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, Mean Girls, Days of Thunder, The Green Hornet, The Avengers (ok woah that's a lot of movies I like haha).

~ How often do you watch movies?
Whenever I'm in the mood, tbh. If there's a good movie out in theatres, I'll jump ahead and go see it either by myself or with someone. Redbox has good movies to rent out, and Netflix houses the classics, and then there's also PAY PER VIEW. I have so many options to choose from when it comes to moovies. :)

~ What are you favorite movie genre(s)?
Adventure, science fiction, and sprinkle it with a little romance and sappiness. I also love me some action and gal powah.

~ What are some of your favorite moment in movies?

May I present to you...THIS. Defines every college class I've been in. xD

Favorite movie(s): I love Pixar and other 3D movies mainly, but those aren't my only favorites. Love Up!, Frozen, Tangled, Toy Story, but also superhero films like Thor and The Avengers.

What are some of your favorite moment in movies?
Spoiler:
The scene where Elsa and Anna sing in unison in Elsa's crystal palace, with Anna staying positive and Elsa being worried, gave me goosebumps. That will always be one of my favorite moments. Though the end of Toy Story 3 made me cry too.. "so long, partner." Ahhh. ;-;

Hiatus February 24th, 2014 5:23 PM

Glad you two signed-up, Megan and Janna. Welcome to the club! <3

How often do you watch movies?
As a kid, I used to watch movies a lot. Two - three times per week, maybe, depending on how much free time I had. My cousins used to live downstairs, so they were mainly the people I used to watch them with. xD" Nowadays, though, it's only once or twice per month.

What are you favorite movie genre(s)?
I like almost everything, aside from horror. Last time I had actually watched a horror film was about seven years ago. Long time, huh?

Favorite movie(s): Either if it is a musical, a sci-fi-ish movie, or basically anything that is dystopic, teenage drama, has songs, has really great effects, or novels that have been turned to movies is already my fave :]

~ How often do you watch movies?

Usually when I'm bored and need to kill some time :)

~ What are you favorite movie genre(s)?

Uhm, Romance, Sci-Fi, Musical and combinations of those three :] And maybe put some Comedy in there :33

~ What are some of your favorite moment in movies?

I sometimes hate those cliched endings or parts like "the guy gets the girl" or "darth vader is luke's father" or something like that.
Spoiler:
I did however like in Frozen how Elsa said that you shouldn't marry a guy you just met and Hans turns out to be evil and such. Another step in another direction, Disney!

Hiatus February 25th, 2014 5:20 PM

Welcome, Gunner! Yeah, I'm a fan of comedy, too. :] From last year, one of my favorites of this genre would be This Is The End. It had me laughing from the get-go. The Wolf of Wall Street wasn't too bad, either.

Meganium February 25th, 2014 7:27 PM

If anyone hasn't seen The Lego Movie, you definitely should. It's got a big plot twist that isn't what you expect. xD It's also random in so many ways too. Also a huge recommendation if you played/collected Legos when you were younger.

Frozen Spoiler.
Spoiler:
I gotta give some credit to Frozen as well. Although the musical part was a little hesitant to me, I really love the music, especially "Let It Go", it is my absolute favorite!~ I also love how Disney went to a different direction in the movie. Instead of TRUE LOVE'S FIRST KISS HAPPILY EVER AFTER, we have two sisters living happily ever after. I just... cried <3

OMFG MOVIES!

Username: LilJz
Favorite movie(s): Way too much... :C Star Wars trilogy, Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Avengers, Dawn of the Dead, The Mummy Returns, Nightmare on Elm Street series, Chuckie series, etc etc etc :)
Answer a topic: How often do you watch movies? Practically everyday?

Meganium February 26th, 2014 7:45 PM

Welcome Jz! :) I really adore the Star Wars series. When I was younger, I dressed up as Queen Amidala. I adored her so much. She's still my favorite from the first part, and I also loved when she just Padme. I own the last 3 movies (4, 5 and 6). They were all really good classics!~

Now I'm craving for a movie to watch sometime this weekend. I'm still waiting for March to roll around. I want to watch Divergent so badly!

Captain Gizmo February 26th, 2014 7:52 PM

I actually own all 6 movies in Blu-Ray! :D

100$ werf :3

I got the light saber of Darth Maul since I was a kid and I STILL HAVE IT. Although I never did put batteries in it so it would light up....it's been like 13 years I got it also... =/

The movie I really wanna watch in March is 300: Rise of an Empire and Need for Speed :)

There's still movies released in February I have yet to see tho >.<

SO MUCH MOVIES I WANNA SEE THIS YEAR, OMG!

Hiatus February 26th, 2014 9:17 PM

I actually love the cartoon series, but I've never got to see any of its movies, though, aside from just one. Can't recall what it was called, but it was very fun to watch; almost had me crying at one point. Star Wars: Episode 7 should begin filming sometime this year, and when it's all done, I will definitely give it a go. :) Also, welcome to the club, LilJz!

Captain Gizmo February 27th, 2014 5:25 PM

You reaaallyyy should see the movies. They're pretty long but they're worth every second of it ♥

Meganium February 28th, 2014 11:02 AM

Haven't seen the cartoon version of Star Wars either, just the live action series. Although I heard the cartoon version is really good and I heard that it should be praised at the same level as the original versions. Probably because it's cartoon? :/

Hiatus February 28th, 2014 4:45 PM

Yeah; regardless of where you are, cartoon seems to be looked down people. Well, at least in most cases. Anyway, if you're Transformers fan, are any of you looking forward to the new movie--Age of Extinction? I've heard that it's set to be released in June this year.

Meganium March 9th, 2014 12:46 PM

Speaking of cartoon movies, I'm about to take my sister to the movies right now. She wants to go see Mr. Peabody & Sherman. I saw the previews the other day and it looks to be a pretty cool movie. I'll give you guys a brief review when I return!~

In the meantime, mind if I bring in a new topic?

Do you rent movies? How often do you do?

Hiatus March 9th, 2014 4:17 PM

Not sure if I've ever heard of that one before, haha. Judging from the title, is it comedy?

Do you rent movies? How often do you do?
I used to rent movies from Netflix before, but stopped doing it, as it was quite a hassle to constantly send and receive them and whatnot. Instead, it's a lot better to just buy subscription and watch them over Internet. :]

Captain Gizmo March 10th, 2014 6:05 PM

Me and my dad used to rent movies from Videotron a lot, I even rented the whole Nightmare on Elm Street series in one take, LOL. But now we just seemed to stopped. Now I'm the only one buying movies :(

Meganium March 11th, 2014 2:04 PM

I used to rent a ton of movies when Blockbuster was around, but now with Redbox and Netflix around the corner, it's not the same anymore and we don't do it as often. It'd be nice if we just rent them at a store because Redbox always runs out of the newer movies and Netflix doesn't have them until a few months later (and that sucks lol).

also a brief review on Mr. Peabody & Sherman!~ It's spoilered, but it does not contain any spoilers from the movie. No worries :)

Spoiler:
It's basically a story about a smart dog who graduated from Harvard, who adopted a boy who has as much knowledge as his dad. They both travel in time using the time machine, visiting historical periods that are currently being taught in schools right now, like the French Revolution, Battle of Troy, and many more. I honestly enjoyed it, but I personally think the kids (and history majors in college) who find history fascinating would enjoy it more.

3.5/5

Hiatus March 11th, 2014 3:39 PM

Oh, wow, that sounds pretty interesting! I've watched a movie like this before, but can't exactly remember what it was called, though, unfortunately. :( Anyway, starting-up a new topic! What are some movies you're looking forward to watching? Have they been released yet? If not, then when would they be releasing?

Captain Gizmo March 12th, 2014 4:25 PM

I actually watched Non Stop last night and it's breath taking. Absolutely must see! :)

I'll just give you the premise!
It's a Air Marshall who boards on a plane to do his usual job (protecting the citizens and stop anyone who will try to hijack the plane) and then he gets a text message from someone asking for a large sum of money anyways each 20 minutes someone on the plane dies. Worst part? The eprson threatening him is one of the passengers. So he must find out who the person is while trying to protect someone every 20 minutes :)

Also for movies coming out, I'll list the ones that out during the month of May that I wanna see.

300: Rise of an Empire
Need For Speed
Sabotage

Hiatus March 12th, 2014 4:36 PM

I'm looking forward to Need for Speed as well. I'm just a huge fan of the video game series, and always wanted to see a movie based off it. This is certainly a dream come true for me. n_n" It releases in March 14, I believe, which is only just two days away. Another movie I'm wanting to see is Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. It won't be finished until 2016, though, which is a long time.

Captain Gizmo March 12th, 2014 6:36 PM

I still have yet to see the latest Pirates of the Caribbean movie, so I still got time to watch it xD

And I'm also really excited to see this Need For Speed movie. It's got exotic cars but I'm also hoping there's some tuned up cars just like the first Fast & Furious movies had.

Meganium March 13th, 2014 9:59 PM

Maybe Need For Speed should be the next featured movie on the OP, don't ya think, Ashley? :3 Been meaning to see that as well!~

What are some movies you're looking forward to watching?
For one, I cannot wait to go see Divergent. It comes out next week! :D I read two of the three books, so it should be as good as the books. Another one I've been wanting to see is Mom's Night Out. I saw the trailer to that movie when I watched Mr. Peabody & Sherman, and it's totally a movie I'd love to go see. It comes out till May tho. lol

I'm a huge fan of war movies. They've always interested me. xD" I completely forgot about the Captain America movie, for some reason. I'm definitely going to watch it if I get the chance. Welcome to our club, Mandolore!

Also, Megan, that sounds like a good idea! Let me see if I could find a trailer for it on YouTube.

Captain Gizmo March 15th, 2014 2:17 PM

War movies are great. Especially when they are done perfectly! You are literally plunged into the heat of war and the placement and atmosphere is breathtaking. One of my favorite war movies are Alexander The Great & Troy! :)

Hiatus March 15th, 2014 2:43 PM

I actually haven't watched Alexander the Great, unfortunately. :( I did watch Troy, but not the whole thing; only the beginning. My personal favorite would probably have to be Saving Private Ryan. Opening sequence was just simply amazing.

Judge Mandolore Shepard March 15th, 2014 3:02 PM

Saving Private Ryan was the first World War II movie that I ever watched. Other World War II movies that I have watched are Sink the Bismarck, Tora Tora Tora!, Pearl Harbor, and Midway. Also Saving Private Ryan was based upon the Niland brothers during World War II

Captain Gizmo March 15th, 2014 6:33 PM

Not sure if it counts as a war movie, but it counts as a POW movie which is set during WWII which is "The Great Escape" starring Steve McQueen.

Answer a topic: What are some of your favorite moment in movies? PLOT TWISTS. When you are surprised, amazed and sit on the edge of your sofa and just "WHAAAT?" I love that feeling.

Hiatus March 16th, 2014 4:16 PM

Oh my goodness, Lion King is amazing. <3 Up to now, I've watched both one and two for about a total of eight times already. I'm also a huge fan of Dark Knight, haha. Anyway, welcome, Rika! Good to have your here!

Captain Gizmo March 16th, 2014 5:13 PM

Lion King was legit my favorite movie when I was a kid. The scene where Mufasa died always made me ugh in me and it still does :(

Meganium March 16th, 2014 7:06 PM

The Lion King, The Dark Knight, great movie tastes, Rika :D The Lion King is my favorite movie of all time. I liked 1 & 2. 1 1/2 (or 3 in non US countries), was pretty amusing imo xD

Anyways, added the Need for Speed trailer on the opening post, if anyone's interested in taking a look! The movie is in theaters right now. :D

Hiatus March 16th, 2014 8:59 PM

Have any of you guys been able to watch Dark Knight Rises? I have, but didn't really enjoy it as much as I thought I would, though. ): One thing that really disappointed me is the main villain. If it were someone else other than Bane (Poison Ivy and Mr. Freeze would be two great examples), I definitely would have liked it more.

moon March 16th, 2014 10:08 PM

Yeah, I didn't like DK Rises as much as DK. The middle movie was the best imo, which is really quite unusual for trilogies! Another instance I can think about is that many seem to enjoy The Two Towers more than the first and last LOTR movies.

The Lion King is an amazing movie when you think about it, especially considering it's mainly for children. An epic tale of betrayal and family, spanning years and deserts and jungles and savannas, featuring some of the most memorable characters ever. They aren't even afraid to bring up the subject of death, something I think Disney movies are very silly with these days. Mufasa and Scar and probably a lot of hyenas die. And toss in the sequel too and you'll have somewhat of a conclusion as well.

Judge Mandolore Shepard March 17th, 2014 6:38 AM

I actually have the Dark Knight trilogy and a Batman movie four pack. The Batman movie four pack includes Batman (1989), Batman Returns, Batman Forever, and Batman and Robin (1997). If you are looking for a Batman movie that has both Poison Ivy and Mr. Freeze, I would recommend watching Batman and Robin.

moon March 17th, 2014 6:43 AM

I'm kind of liking these modern superhero movies. I admit there's been a bit too much of superheroes in the cinema this past decade, but most of those movies have been doing a fresh take on the whole superpower and suit business. I actually even enjoyed Green Lantern 8)

I didn't enjoy Man of Steel overly much though. It was just... a bit too serious. The older movies always had a glint in their eye, sort of. This broke all that. These Batman movies, on the other hand, reinvented the brand in a very good way.

Not sure how I feel about the newest Amazing Spiderman movies. I feel it was a bit too soon to reinvent Spiderman, since the other movies came out after 2000.

Captain Gizmo March 17th, 2014 1:32 PM

The Bane from TDKR was kinda disappointing for me. Since I was expecting the huge venom powered powerhouse, but Christopher Nolan DID say he wanted a more realistic approach to the Batman universe and yea, that's exactly what he did, so in that way he did not disappoint. I also liked the 2nd Batman movie more for the villain, but for the plot I prefer the 3rd installement.

Also, the reason why Man of Steel was more serious is because of the Justice League movie adaptation they wanna do. DC is known for it's dark storyline and that's what they're aiming for.

The same thing with Spiderman, they remade Spiderman because the 3rd movie flushed out and fans didn't hate it (it's underrated imo) and they're going to make the Spiderman series in tie with the Avengers.

Favorite movie(s): Im going to pick one or a few per genre
Comedy - American Pie and Fired Up. They are both stupidly funny movies i could watch over and over again. American Pie is a classic, Fired Up is probably the movie ive watched the most times ever.
Action - Fast 5, Never Back Down, The Dark Knight. Fast 5 is my favorite and imo the best out of the series. I think there is a good balance between Action and Driving scenes, and i loved how they pulled all the cats from the previous movies together. Never Back Down is a movie that just makes me want to go out and surpass any limit i think i have. I know its not the best movie in any espect, but i still enjoy it a lot. The Dark Knight, what can i say that hasnt been said? An amazing Joker performance, a great and entertaining plot and some extremely scenes. The best out of the trilogy if you ask me.
All-Time Favorite - Saw, the first one. The ones that come after one put a lot of emphasis on gore, but I has a very thrilling and suspensful plot that keeps you on edge at all times. Its not too gory and it features the most suprising ending ive ever seen.

Answer a topic:
How often do you watch movies?
Extremely often! I used to go to the theaters about 2 or 3 times a month. Recently though, there havent been that many movies that caught my interest, but i still watch a lot of them at home, probably around 2 movies a week. Is there anything better than a comfy movie night on weekends? I dont think so :D

Some of my favorite Movie genres
Id have to say Comedy and Action are my two favorite, followed by Thrillers in a close 3rd Spot. I can enjoy any genre though as long as the movie appeals to me, so there is that. What i like about the Action scenes is of course the action, be it fighting, shooting or things blowing up. Comedies are always good to laugh and have a good time, forgetting whatever troubles your mind for the duration of the movie. As for thrillers, i love suspensful plots that keep you on edge and interested throughout a whole movie. And its nice to try and figure out whats really going on by yourself

So yeah, looking forward to talk and discuss with all of you!

Meganium March 18th, 2014 7:44 AM

Welcome to the club, Zorogami~ My ex-boyfriend was the one that introduced me to the American Pie movies and they have also become part of my favorites as well. The Naked Mile would be my favorite from the series, it was freaking hilarious from beginning to the end.

Oh my goodness.. BAAAANE. He became a villain that I love to hate. Anyone felt the same way? I guess the first Dark Knight movie was much better than the 2nd one because of how the villains performed. Heath Ledger did an excellent performance as The Joker and wow, I just literally applaud at the end. (RIP Heath btw ;;)

Hiatus March 18th, 2014 4:23 PM

You know, I was sort of sad how Two-Face didn't get to play much of a big role in Dark Knight. :( I mean, Harvey Dent was a major part of it, but when that accident happened causing his face to burn, we just didn't get to see much of him anymore. Would have been really nice if they'd saved him instead of killing; that way, he could've been able to replace Bane in Dark Knight Rises... or perhaps they both could have co-existed? Also, welcome to our club, Zorogami!

Zorogami March 19th, 2014 3:32 AM

Thanks for the welcome guys!! As for the current topic, i did like Bane a lot, i just thought his demise was rather...quick and nothing special. After he keeps smacking Batman around, its catwoman who blasts him with the Batcycle, which was pretty disappointing. Also, i found it rather unfitting how he turned out to be a bit of a softie towards the end. The Jokes was no doubt the better villain.

Having two-face play a bigger role would have been great. As Peitharchia said, Harvey Dent played a major role, and giving two-face more screen time or even bringing him back for TDKR would have made for some interesting plot possibilities. Too bad

Aw, and my favorite American Pie is probably a tie between the 2nd one and The Reunion (:

Meganium March 19th, 2014 9:44 AM

Hah, I loved those as well. Every American Pie movie is pretty funny. xD

Wanted to bring in a new topic if that's alright! Kinda...old since the Oscars were almost a month ago. What does everyone think of the movies that won awards this year? Would you watch them just to see if they were worthy? Like, a few years ago when The Hurt Locker won for best director, I wanted to see how it was well-directed, and HOLY CRAP I wasn't aware that movie was directed by a woman and that movie was very well made. Very good movie, btw.

Zorogami March 19th, 2014 12:23 PM

The Oscars, good question. Apparently i dont have Oscar taste, because ive only seen the movies that didnt win (barely) anything, like Wolf of Wall Street, American Hustle or The Great Gatsby. Im really interested in watching Dallas Buyers Club, not really because of the Oscars it won, but because it seems to be a rather interesting and pretty peculiar movie. As for the other movies, i really dont think ill be watching them. Well maybe Frozen, but because its a Disney movie above all other reasons.

Also, ive always wanted to watch Hurt Locker but somehow never got to it...that needs to change

Judge Mandolore Shepard March 19th, 2014 2:46 PM

Of the movies that won Oscars this year, the only one I have watched is Frozen. When it comes to the other movies that won this year, I would probably consider watching The Great Beauty even though it is in Italian.

Meganium March 19th, 2014 10:47 PM

12 Years A Slave is one movie I'd go for watching. Not only because it won a ton of awards that night, but it's because of Lupita Nyong'o, who won Best Supporting Actress. A friend of mine who's a movie freak told me that her performance in that movie was superior and exceeded his expectations. I'd love to see that movie for myself.

moon March 20th, 2014 2:12 AM

I watched 12 Years A Slave because it won, and I liked it. It's like a less funny version of Django Unchained xD Not necessarily less bloody... Very serious and depressing at times. Lupita Nyong'o was good, yeah. Also Benedict Cumberbatch was in it 8=) *goes to rewatch Sherlock*

I liked Wolf Of Wall Street a bit too. It was a cool movie, but what I didn't like was how it portrayed women.
Spoiler:
No fat women and only ugly men and female bodyparts all over the place. Sexist, I say. We only got a tiny glance at Donnie's sausage and half a glance at Leo Dicaprio's. Why not show them if you're going to show vajajays?

Although i really enjoyed the movie, i agree on what you say about being sexist. There is a lot (probably too much?) gratuitous nudity, and women are potrayed mostly as having a weak character and are almost exclusively seen as sex objects.

Guys, The Incredibles 2 have just been announced! Anyone else super excited as I am? :D

Judge Mandolore Shepard March 22nd, 2014 3:51 PM

I had a feeling that The Incredibles would be getting a sequel. I figured it was their turn to get one. Course for movies made by Pixar, A Bug's Life which came out back in 1998 still has not gotten one.

Captain Gizmo March 22nd, 2014 4:30 PM

I think A Bug's Life's story was pretty well done and ended off well. Imo, it's not needed of a sequel. But other people could disagree. That's just my opinion :)

Hiatus March 22nd, 2014 4:36 PM

Incredible 2; sweet! I loved its predecessor; if they put more effort into this one, I'm sure it could turn out much better. Also, unfortunately, I've never got to watch A Bug's Life. :( Might do it someday, if my small sister does.

Well it took them long enough, but still awesome news!! Really looking forward to it (:

moon March 23rd, 2014 1:57 AM

I loved the Incredibles! I hope they'll expand on the universe of superheroes a bit more in the sequel.

Zorogami March 23rd, 2014 5:31 AM

About Incredibles 2: Do you think it will take places immediately after Incredibles 1, or will years have passed, thus making the characters, especially the kids, older than in the first part?? Also, what would you prefer??

Meganium March 23rd, 2014 7:23 AM

Awesome to hear that The Incredibles will be getting a sequel. :D However, like Zoro, I am not really certain as to how they'll start it off but I have a feeling that the kids will be a little older. Also, we'll be able to see what else Jack-Jack can do with his awesome powers xD

I watched a classic last night with friends: SPACE JAM! It's nice to see a great movie from the 90's :3

Hopefully it'll take place years after the first movie. To see how much they've grown. Just like they did with the time lapse with Toy Story 2 and Toy Story 3 :)

Favorite movie(s): Too many to list. I have a whole bunch of them and listing them all will just take too much time and I'd be stuck here for ages thinking. Oh, and FROZEN. <3

Answer a topic: We're talking about sequels now, right? I really can't wait for The Incredibles 2!! I've loved The Incredibles and have a feeling its sequel will be just as good. Also, they kinda left a hanging ending with the guy in the drill machine (The Underminer, iirc?), so it already was a signal for a second movie.

Meganium March 23rd, 2014 9:08 PM

I owned it on VHS when I was younger and I lost it when I was moving out of my old home. I am disappoint. Heard there's going to be a Space Jam 2, and I'm all ike "oh lordy pleeeeeease no". That storyline needs to stay. xD

& Welcome Amanda!~ Nice to see you finally join the group! I'll assume you got a pretty awesome collection of movies, right? No worried, I got my own collection as well. <3

If they dare to make a Space Jam 2 and butcher it, people will riot

Meganium March 24th, 2014 8:59 AM

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2003881-blake-griffin-and-deandre-jordan-reading-the-space-jam-script-is-poetry

They're reading the script and looking for the "next Michael Jordan". Even the actors think the script is whack. So it's a possibility that this could advance even if they think the script is yucky. That's the only thing I know right now in terms of the preparations of the movie xD

Captain Gizmo March 24th, 2014 9:11 AM

I don't know about this. I mean, Space Jam finished off well, but still have potential for another movie. But since it's going to be different writers, I'm kinda losing hope in this one lol.

Zorogami March 24th, 2014 12:15 PM

I just dont think Space Jams needs a sequel, and i hate when movies get one just for the producers to make money -.-
Thats like when tv shows get season after season and end up with a sucky ending

Hiatus March 24th, 2014 3:20 PM

Ah, Space Jam. Always wanted to see that one, but never managed to. If they're planning on making a sequel, then I'll definitely watch this first. d: Also, welcome to the club, Amanda!

How have you never seen Space Jam?! :0

Captain Gizmo March 24th, 2014 3:48 PM

That's what I said, Space Jam doesn't need a sequel, it just have the potential for one. Two different things :P xD

Well that's weird, we just said the same thing in different words and I misunderstood ;~;

Btw, what are some sequels that you'd wanna see for movies?

Sorry if what i wrote wasnt clear :(

Well the only one that comes to mind right now would be a Zombieland 2. I really liked the movie and think its pretty hilarious, so a 2nd part could work i think. As for the plot, maybe the 4 "heroes" try to find out what started it all or how to stop it? Or maybe they try to reach a city thats not overrun yet?

Hiatus March 25th, 2014 2:04 AM

Home Alone 6 is in works, apparently, but I really hope it isn't the final one. I'd love it if they decide to continue and start filming Home Alone 7 at some point. This time, though, I'd want them to not follow the same old "kid stuck at home" concept; for a change, it would nice to do it with a grown-up living on their own. :]

moon March 25th, 2014 3:53 AM

Well, I'm very excited for How To Train Your Dragon 2 and The Incredibles 2 and also Finding Dory (Finding Nemo 2 kinda). But those are already announced :3

For movies that don't have sequels today, I'm not really sure actually. Maybe Inception, just to see them do something even weirder with dreams within dreams.

Meganium March 25th, 2014 5:08 PM

Btw, what are some sequels that you'd wanna see for movies?
FINDING DORY. I am so glad Ellen DeGeneres is back at it as the voice of Dory. She is hilarious! 2015 cannot come soon enough. The Incredibles 2 is also something I look forward to as well.

If this counts, I literally can't wait for Mockingjay part 1.

Speaking of sequels. Divergent did really well in its first weekend, they announced that Insurgent is already in the works!

Captain Gizmo March 25th, 2014 7:17 PM

Divergent was awesome! At first I was meh, but then my girlfriend wanted to watch it, so we went today and ♥

When they first explained the different aspects of the factions, you're probably going to relate yourself to one of them xD
It's a must watch♥

Aw yes, definitely excited for Mockingjay!! But since its going to be split up its going to be a pain to wait for the 2nd part

As for divergent, ive heard a few things about it and i know its based on a book series right?? But here (in Europe/Spain) ive never seen it being mentioned or talked about anywhere :/ Ill have to investigate and see what it is about

Captain Gizmo March 26th, 2014 8:00 AM

Oh yea, Mockingjay part 1 in 2014 then Mockingjay part 2 in 2015? It's torture ;~;

Good thing is, the writers of Divergent said that until now, the last book will be in one full movie, not parts splitting up :P

Thats going to be torture for real :(

Hmm, they might say that now, but i somehow think they will end up splitting it as well xD
Money makes the world go around...

Meganium March 28th, 2014 12:47 AM

^I agree. I think they did the same for Mockingjay but it turned out to be a rumor. They first have to figure out the length of the book to make it fit for the allowed time for the movie.

Also, Noah is in theatres now, guys! I think it's an...interesting movie to see. Emma Watson is in this, I would love to see how she performs. She is a wonderful actress.

Zorogami March 28th, 2014 1:04 AM

Now Noah, thats a movie im really curious about. I had no clue about its existence until recently, when i caught a glimpse of it on tv.
I have to look up what it even is about first though

Judge Mandolore Shepard March 28th, 2014 6:06 AM

One thing I know about Noah is that is the most recent Biblical movie. I am undecided if I am going to see it or not.

Captain Gizmo March 28th, 2014 7:54 AM

Me neither, I don't think I'll be seeing the movie. Not because it sucks or anything, but just because they have other movies I'd rather go watch. But the cast of Noah sure is great :3

Emma Watson ♥

~ How often do you watch movies? Depends on my mood - each day, each week... If I feel sad or angry I'd cheer myself up with comedy.
~ What are you favorite movie genre(s)? Comedy and Fantasy :3
~ What are some of your favorite moment in movies? Whenever there comes a twist in the movie is my favourite moment :3

Favorite movie(s): Well, there are lots. Fight Club, The Wolf of Wall Street, Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead, Pulp Fiction, LotR, and the original Star Wars trilogy (A New Hope|Empire Strikes Back|Return of the Jedi), L.A. Confidential.

What are you favorite movie genre(s)?: Well, I don't exactly have a favorite movie genre, tbh. I just look at a movie individually. But I guess you could say I love comedies (both dark and slapstick) and detective noir movies a lot.

I'm really looking forward to Noah. Darren Aronofsky is a great director and I loved how freaky Black Swan was and how it dealt with corruption. Looks like Noah could be just as complex as Black Swan was. Also I'm more looking forward to Russell Crowe as Noah rather than Emma Watson haha.

I don't think it's a Biblical movie in the traditional sense. It doesn't stick to its source material and one thing I know is that it left Christian audiences pretty pissed during some test screenings. So this could be a spin on the original Noah story.

Hiatus March 29th, 2014 3:28 PM

Welcome to the club, Deepy! Anyway, going to kick-off a new topic for you all. Hope you all answer! :) If you were given the chance, which movie(s) would you have your favorite actors and actresses in? What role would they play?

Judge Mandolore Shepard March 29th, 2014 5:12 PM

Well seeing as there is going to be an Assassin's Creed movie, if given the chance I would have James Franco as Altair Ibn-La'Ahad or Sally Martin as Lucy Stillman.

Zorogami March 30th, 2014 2:46 AM

I always thought that the Drake games for PS3 could be made into cool movies!
The games are already pretty cinematic, have good action scenes and funny moments as well.

As for a cast, definitely Nathan Fillion as Drake and maybe Sean Connery as his mentor

Karma Police March 30th, 2014 6:05 AM

James Franco would be very hard to believe as Altair imo.

Also Nathan Fillion is an excellent choice as Nathan Drake, but Sean Connery wouldn't fit as Sully. Maybe somebody like Bruce Campbell would be a better fit.

Now with the Last of Us movie upcoming somebody like Hugh Jackman, after seeing his work in Prisoners, would be a great pick for Joel.

You are probably right about Sean Connery, i went out on a limb on that xD

Meganium April 1st, 2014 8:12 PM

Just updated the club post with a brand new trailer! Captain America: The Winter Soldier hits theatres this Friday. :D Anyone planning on seeing it? I am, because hnnggg Chris Evans <3

Karma Police April 2nd, 2014 6:01 AM

I'm planning on seeing Captain America! I actually didn't like the first one (Except Hugo Weaving - he's still awesome as a villain) but I have only heard good things about this one.

Judge Mandolore Shepard April 2nd, 2014 6:41 AM

I am certainly planning on seeing Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Course it will probably not be this weekend when I go see it. This is because I am out of Premiere Super Saver Movie Tickets.

Hiatus April 2nd, 2014 3:47 PM

I will definitely watch The Winter Soldier at some point. :] Haven't seen The First Avenger yet, though, so once I'm done with that one, I'll give this a go.

Captain Gizmo April 2nd, 2014 4:11 PM

I actually have 2 free movie tickets to watch ANY movies since me and my girlfriend watched 10 movies haha. And we're planning on using them for Captain America: The Winter Soldier :D

Meganium April 3rd, 2014 9:26 AM

I've seen The First Avenger as well as the The Avengers movie. I am planning to go see The Winter Soldier this weekend as well with my sister. We're actually going to do a double movie weekend, seeing that movie, as well as Divergent. :) Gonna be fun ^__^

Zorogami April 4th, 2014 12:19 AM

I am definitely going to watch the Winter Soldier. My roommate went on premiere day and told me it was great!
I found the first one to be ok, so hoping this one is better :D

moon April 5th, 2014 2:07 AM

My partner got me a ticket for my birthday and we haven't used it yet so we'll likely see Winter Soldier with it ;)

Karma Police April 5th, 2014 10:19 AM

Just came back after watching The Winter Soldier and I definitely recommend it! The best Marvel movie since Avengers, no doubt. It had some pretty cool action scenes, and a good enough story and some exciting hints at future movies too!

Anybody going to watch it, make sure you stay and watch a scene that comes around midway through the credits.

Captain Gizmo April 5th, 2014 10:30 AM

I haven't watched it myself but ofc! That's a signature thing that Marvel ALWAYS does :P

The post-credit little special :P
