you can just disconnect by flipping the switch on the right side of the 3ds =)

I've had to DC a few times when I noticed "Oh wait, I need this for something"

Ever do that "miss the door" dance? It's terrible when biking but just as bad with roller blades. I keep missing the Daycare man too so nowadays I just crash into the fence and then crawl up to him.

Yeah, happens to me all the time >.<

Master Kavar April 23rd, 2014 11:42 PM

hey, ok i have done something that is really stupid lol, i was trying to get a baby Bulbasaur for egg moves slowpoke had curse to give to a baby Bulbasaur.

female slowpoke + male Ivysaur = baby Bulbasaur

that's was my thinking but i need a female Ivysaur + male Slowpoke / curse.

LOL :-)

This actually happened to me once. I was cycling around the day care and waited for the dude to turn his head around to tell me that an egg is ready. After wasting a good 10 minute, I got fed up of waiting and cycled toward him to check on the parents status. Then I finally realized that the parents are still in my party and I completely forgot to put them inside the daycare. *face palm*

UndyingFury June 7th, 2014 2:54 AM

I accidentally Wonder-Traded away a Pokemon holding my Everstone, and then I had to wait around for Geodude hordes for about an hour or so in Terminus cave and try to steal another one from one of them (which is a 5% chance, by the way ;-;) before they killed each other using Magnitude. At least it wasn't my Destiny Knot, or I would've cried (unless you can actually find more of them on wild Pokemon, but I didn't think you could).

There have also been many occasions where I've cycled back and forth infront of the Daycare for at least like 15-30 minutes before I realized that both Pokemon were either the same gender or not even in the same egg group.

Oh, the curse of the breeder is a vile one, hehe.

You can get more destiny knots by battling a certain trainer in Luminose City as many times as you want actually! Here's the vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q786Z6b8bYE

I've been a victim of the "bike round luminose for 10mins before realizing my eggs have hatched" multiple times because I don't really pay attention while I'm doing it haha. Other standouts include breeding Gardevoir with a Machamp and having to get off my skates to talk to the day-care man as I would constantly skate around him with the circle pad ugh

You can increase that chance to 20% if you lead with a Pokemon with the ability Compound Eyes (even if it has fainted).

I thought you could beed Unown! I walked up to the day care man after 10 minutes of cycling to have him say that my Unown and Ditto prefer to play with other Pokemon...

Oh. Awesome! That's one less thing for me to be worried about, then. Thanks for the info! c:

Yeah, I led with my Galvantula and switched out into a Bisharp with Thief. It still took awhile though. Mostly because, like I said, they kept murdering each other with Magnitude. :p
Also, 20%? That's pretty good; I didn't think it increased that much. I thought it would only be just a tiiiny bit less rare. But after checking Bulbapedia and such, I learned that since gen V, it no longer increases your chances by 50%, but it increases it to a set amount. Well then. The more you know~

Zayutasu June 9th, 2014 3:14 PM

I`ve once cycled in a small circle in front of the daycare guy in x and y and started screaming in frustration because my eggs wouldnt hatch and i realized i had both parents in my party, and i didnt even had any eggs with me.

I always crash my bicycle into the fence when trying to recive and egg from the daycareman, and ALWAYS ALWAYS miss the door at least 3 times before being able to get in to talk to the daycarewoman.

Hatch about 50 crappy iv eggs and never wonder what was happening because acording to me i just had "bad luck" only to later realize i places the wrong parents.

Just Wonder Traded my ever stone and destiny knot after finally breeding a perfect IV Shinx and I just realized it when I was trying to IV breed a Froakie. And this is the second time this happens.
You just saved my life. I didn't know you could go as many times as you want to get Destiny Knot, i'll give it a shot. But yeah, these things happen a lot.

In my desperation to get one, I looked on the GTS for one, only to realized that I saved so I could not soft reset. >.< I really hate myself.

Along the same vein, I had imported a Meowth from Unova (after cloning it, I think...thankfully) and, without battling, leveled it up to Lv.60 (as a Persian) to keep the daycare breeding costs down. I started breeding it with the Shiny Ditto. Later, I was getting ready to release it because I had many with better IVs to take its place. At that moment, I realized that it had a Shiny Star.

I had never battled with it directly and thus never saw the sparklies. All the experience was from the Exp. Share. I checked and found I did import it as a Meowth; the Shiny form was in my Dex.

That Persian has been benched now while I do my Meowth breeding with multi-IV recipients.

eeveeandmew June 16th, 2014 5:23 PM

I have many times continued biking with all my eggs hatched already. :3c Since i got frustrated with this, i just use the ST menu to check at a glance if eggs are hatched. :)

After a hatch or two, I go to the PC and then take the next Egg from the breeder. The only time I don't do this is if I want a hatch location specifically. Usually it's Lumiose City in XY or the Skyarrow Bridge in Gen. V.

Cyclone June 27th, 2014 5:20 AM

So today. I dropped off my newly evolved 4IV Pikachu at the breeder...or so I thought. It apparently didn't go in, I thought it did, and I just went roller skating for five minutes before thinking of asking "Egg Man" about their status. "Oh, your Ditto's doing just fine!"

Damn you, finicky controls. Damn you.

DarkIllumination July 9th, 2014 1:10 PM

I been breeding charmanders and I never get great speed IVs just attk, spattk, def, and hp, I need to figure how to get good speed IVs for a fast charizard.

Belldandy July 9th, 2014 1:17 PM

Over sixty-five Lileep with a 6IV mother and a 5IV father.

Maybe six females so far, of which two had the wrong ability (looking for Storm Drain).

All with 3-4IVs.

Kill me.

[Edit]

Just hatched a 6IV Male. YOU WILL ELUDE ME NO LONGER, 5IV FEMALE!!!

KatTayle July 9th, 2014 1:56 PM

I forgot to IV check 5 boxes of Eevees, had a 6IV ditto and 5IV parent eevee. Probably had a 6IVs in there... Other than that, not much except occasionally forgetting I have a full party and still biking around the daycare for eggs.

Oh, I bike in front if I know I have a full party. I just go inside and plop something (usually an Egg) in the PC when the guy faces my way.

I found myself circling Lumiose Tower hatching 0 Eggs the other day. It was only for about five minutes, and partly because I was watching something on the computer, so I wasn't paying full attention or I'd have known I'd hatched the last Egg already.

An actual curse: I started an Eevee project and didn't get a female until the 49th Egg. The 54th Egg (same batch of six) was an exact female I needed (IVs didn't matter fully at that point). From there I was able to breed and succeeded in getting my result. However, in 78 Eggs, I had a total of three females.

Supplementary curse: the first 18 Eggs included a few 5IVs, but also 2-4IVs. I had a single 1IV Egg.

That one was Shiny.

Kill me.

Cyclone July 14th, 2014 3:17 PM

Oh, here's a new one.

Pulled Crustle out of the PC for a quick breeding project, to pass Rock Blast to someone. Teach it the move through the relearner. Then I look at the gender.

It's female.

Insult to injury: it learns the move at Lv.5.

Good thing Heart Scales are so easy to find in this game. At least, when the holder is.

DarkIllumination July 14th, 2014 5:31 PM

I have to breed a perfect growlithe and to do that I have level up a regular to learn flarblitz, evolve it to learn extreme speed via relearner then breed it with a close combat one I got from WT and hatch a perfect one with all three moves and breed stealth rock to certain pokémon plus hatching a shiny honedge and gible, Im going to have a headache after all this.

Belldandy July 15th, 2014 4:59 PM

Bred a Naive 4EM Pichu, where one of the EMs was Volt Tackle. Being a mixed attacker, it was pretty nice to find out its stats were 31/31/31/28/31/31.

And then heart sink: Hidden Power Electric.

Of all things. Electric. #crushed

Thief August 16th, 2014 8:08 AM

I can't remember what, but one time I'd bred an offspring I wanted to keep and accidentally put it on Wonder Trade (along with the millions of other offspring I'd bred). I tried to shut off my game as soon as I realised which one it was, but it was too late. I loaded my game back up again, checked my PC box, and what did I get in return?

A Bunnelby. Named 'Hahahaha'.

Karma better hit that guy hard.

Hawk Tartaros August 19th, 2014 3:58 AM

Breeding a Squirtle and getting the wrong nature so i can do it all over again.
And released all the squirtles with egg moves Dragon Pulse and Aura Sphere so i have to start from the beginning and breed a Clawlitzer with a female squirtle with hidden ability from scratch.
Now that is a pain in the @$$.
I did get a female shiny modest Squirtle in the prosses though with 2 max IV's.
