451.
If you don't know what ahegao is, don't search it up. |
452
Well, out of context it's pretty PG. |
453
Yeah, I guessed as much |
452
Twilight if anyone feels like the one who'd be interested. |
455.
But yeah. Netto's cowlick though. |
Quote:
|
Spoiler:
Ah, seen those before, nothing very interesting, but they are rather silly at times 457 I'm sure Netto's cowlick causes that among some people |
458
Should I just leave now? |
459
Ahegao is silly all the time. I don't like it myself, and I really wish fewer artists would use it. It just makes otherwise well-drawn pieces look...well, silly, and it detracts from the overall piece. On that note, kudos to a good amount of H-manga artists. You guys have serious artistic talent, and it takes a lot to decide that you want to typecast yourself into the porn industry. Not sure it's a smart decision, but hey, your work satisfies legions of people every year, more than the average anime, I'd say. |
460
If you have regular problems with reflux, do not drink two different drinks with orange juice in them. Tropical fruit juice + fanta = oh god, the inside of my chest, what is happening. |
461
I really like Fanta. |
462
You only really need to worry when it changes the color of your...uhm...waste Kinda like Movie Theater Nachos aaaand I'm going to shut up now |
463.
Vegetables can do that too. Like spinach. |
464
Movie Theater Nachos are probably poisoned. |
465
Sheesh, Alice looks huge without Discord Dx But yeah, that's 350px |
466. That image looks huge in general.
|
467
Wow, I finished an anime. |
467
As long as it's within the size limits. |
468
Is it spring yet? |
470
Well, we're having spring weather over here. |
471. We broke 70F here for the first time since probably September. I kicked on the AC in my car because my body hasn't acclimated back to that yet.
I've been seeing conflicting reports about snow this coming weekend, though. Some sources say snow showers Saturday morning, while other sources say that there will be no snow showers. |
472
Hm...I tend to lapse into an accent if I'm allowed to ramble Often goes into an English or Scottish/Irish one from time to time More pronounced if I recently watched a show or film with English actors... David Tennant, you're corrupting me |
473.
So I took a look at Markiplier's FNAF. wtf is wrong with you, Twilight. |
474
Nothing. FNAF is a 2014-2015 craze. It's a well-designed, unique horror series, so naturally it'd be popular. |
475
The games are fine The Fandom is not Although I find the third somewhat lacking, since the jumpscares all use the same sound Why would you think something is wrong with me? |
476
Because something clearly is. But really, I agree with twilight. The fandom is... Yeah. |
477
I thought coming up with convoluted fan theory was par for the course? |
Oh it is.
But that's not what we're talking about here. 478 |
479
That's Adventure taken care of, along with the prequel and sequel specials. Jumping straight into 02. Bit flatter characters but pretty jazzy music. I can get through this. Oh, and my anti-smudge glove arrived today. Pure British quality stuff. I hope. |
480
Anti smudge glove? Why do you need one? |
481
I had to get on your MAL to know what you were talking about. Digimon huh? Never really interested in it. |
482. DIGIMON DIGITAL MONSTERS DIGIMON ARE THE CHAMPIONS
aaand i think i'll just fall asleep right here on my keyboard now....zzzzzzzzzzz |
483
Ah, so that's why you don't mess with a Time Lord Imagine being trapped in every mirror, with no way out People see a flicker of movement, and there's nothing behind them...only in the mirror Tranquil Fury indeed... |
484
That'd be hell. |
485
One of my friends has the digimon frontier intro as his ringtone. It gets quite annoying. |
486
Frontier is actually my favorite season of Digimon. Heh. Though I do like the openings for S1. Butterfly is so catchy. |
Indeed.
487 I don't watch Digimon myself, but the original dubbed opening was definitely a notable part of my childhood, and Butterfly's amazing. |
488
So Nintendo announces the new NX program. Then Miyamoto takes the USS Enterprise NX-01 and time-warps back to the 90s to convince Yamauchi CDs are worth it, saving the Sony deal and killing the PS1. |
489. Thus creating a timeline where we end up never getting decent dual analog sticks on console controllers.
|
490.
I don't mind about the controllers. |
491
I use a mouse and keyboard Where's our analog keyboards? |
I'm cool with just a mouse and keyboard.
492 |
493
Aye, I'm used to a WASD setup and I've played a lot of games with diagonal 3D movement such as Super Mario 64 DS and Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days and gotten used to using a D-Pad to move in 360 degrees |
tbh at this point I prefer using a mouse and keyboard to a controller.
Except when it comes to awful ports. 494 |
495. Awful ports are ew.
I should pick up Cities: Skylines sometime this week. |
496
I like analog for movement, but I prefer mouse to look around |
Definitely. A mouse is far more precise. Analogs are really good for movement though.
497 |
Oh you all and your childhood English dubs with altered music, westernised names and abridged content.
Quote:
You wouldn't understand. No it's actually for drawing tablet users and people who draw on paper who don't want the skin on their hand to go all over the surface and ruin everything. The oils on our skin sticks and smudges on tablets, especially on screens like on a Cintiq, and we've all accidentally smudged out things we've been drawing on paper. Especially left-handed people. |

Obligatory SHINKAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA Post |

502
WHAT. WHAT DO YOU. YOU'LL HAVE TO BE MORE CLEAR MACHO. I watched a bit of the dub though, and I do like the writing. It's sassy. And I hope that sweet-ass music returns in Tri. Even I have that problem Don, and I'm not even a lefty 8D |
|
504
Don't. Not saying it's a bad game or anything, just that they recently announced that they're making an enhanced..version? Port? Remake? Regardless, it's the same game, but better. I'd wait for more info. |

506 But, as for slightly more unconventional ones, there's Valkyria Chronicles, which is a lot of fun, and Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 1, which is also quite fun and rather addictive. They're both Turn-Based, though in terms of story, the latter is more humorous (and hilariously so) while the former is militaristic and serious, for the most part. |
507
But Final Fantasy is a solid option imo. |
508
I have...FF 1-4, 6-7 so... yeah. I should look for a copy of FF5 I guess. |
509
Oh, it's that game. Possibly the most JRPGy JRPG I've ever seen but not played. Dunno, I haven't played many rpgs on PC. I do know they fairly recently added that one X-Com-y/Fire Emblem-y turn based strategy gamemajig with the war and the stuff, though. Valkyria Chronicles, that's the one. Never played. For its price Cthulhu Saves the World is neat, though it's pretty much a parody and I believe it's made in the west. Disgusting gaijins. |
I'd recommend the Final Fantasy XIII trilogy, then.
510 We were talking about this recently in the Video Games DCC, but the games are rather enjoyable. The music's fantastic (and I'd say the battle theme for this XIII specifically is the best in the series), the battle system is surprisingly fun, among other things. I'd recommend it, especially if you can ignore the criticism. And Lightning Returns. Oohohoh, Lightning Returns. I eagerly await the day that that game comes to Steam. |
910
T-that's not nice. ;~; |
512
Funny thing, FF never really was super generic as a JRPG. Each game has its own identity- different characters, different story, different mechanics- you never feel like you're playing the same game. FF1 isn't FF2 isn't FF3 isn't FF13. And, similarly, it doesn't really have various tropes and the like that are in more generic titles. Also, FF is very good a writing well-designed females. It's a pretty progressive series. |
It's one of the things I love about the series really.
513 |
514
Yeah, was looking at the info for the Legend of Heroes remake and it seems to be an HD port to the Vita...if it was to the 3DS I'd wait but yeah... As for XIII, I spoiled myself with LP's and the wiki LOL. But the story is great. :O |
515
Well considering the original was a PSP port and it just recently came to the PC, I wouldn't write off a port of the HD port. That said, I'm not gonna try to stop you, as I've only heard good things about the game. That said, I'd recommend getting it from here since it's not currently on sale. |
516
I should probably ask you for where to get sales on games when I plan on buying one lol. |
517
Lightning Returns? Don't you mean Fan Service: The Game? |
More like Fanservice: The DLC.
518 The actual game itself doesn't have much fanservice- unless you mean sexually, but even then it's pretty sparse and still only in the way of (a few) outfits. |
519
Fair enough |
520
I remember someone talking about how Lightning Returns is proof that the series has died. |
521
I wouldn't say that it means the series has died......but there was a whole mechanic dedicated to making the boobs jigglier. I'm glad that I didn't buy it when it first came out is about all I can say. |
Quote:
I pre-ordered the game, saw the reviews were really divided, and tried to cancel. It was too late, and I was expecting to have wasted my $60 dollars, but I didn't. So many new ideas and the combat was fun as hell- no part of me regrets buying that game at full-price, it's easily my favorite of the trilogy. Quote:
And boy, do people not like change. On a completely unrelated note, this is happening in Europe: Spoiler:
Reeeeeeally hope that comes to America. That and Robotics;Notes (but I dream). |
I sure don't think it's proof that the series is dead. And, really, I don't think that the series is "Dead" either.
Also, if that comes to America I'll buy it in a heartbeat. 523 |
524. Maybe I'll get Lightning Returns eventually.
What's the Steins;Gate game about? Not familiar with the series at all, so I'm not sure which came first. |
525
Steins;Gate is a Visual Novel (turned anime) about a club of scientists (not club in the high school sense, more like a small team of eccentric adults) as they delve into the mysteries of time travel and ultimately get caught up in a game of playing God and screwing with world lines (basically, a linearist idea that states there is only one timeline, but by changing the past, the "world" itself moves to that possibility rather than creating a new timeline altogether). It's a fun show/game, and I'd recommend either the anime or the game. Personally, I'd say the game's better, but if you don't have the patience or time for the VN, the anime's pretty good. |
526
I love how well it handles the whole time travel thing. |
527
It's a mix of the time travel and parallel universe genre. |
528
Fascinating |
529
Gahh. |
|
531
Extremists turn me on. |
532
Not sure where I fall on that scale... Dead center, probably |
...I don't think I get it.
533 |
534
Nobody does That's what makes like interesting |
535
Deep Love looks yandere as hell. But eh, I'm not big on tsundere. Yandere, either, but in the case of yandere the characters generally have personalities outside of being yandere (See B&T's Himeji or, hell, even Shitty Diary's Gasai Yuno). With tsundere, a lot of writers generally make that character's personality "tsundere"...which is about as three-dimensional as the personalities "girl" and "male accessory". Not always, though, but generally. |
536. Temptation to act yandere over y'all in the this thread is very strong right now.
Then again, the temptation to break out my phone and kick up Love Live is also very strong right now. I may have made a terrible mistake letting my friend persuade me to download it last night. |
537
What's stopping you? You know you want to watch it. Give in to the temptation. |
538
Stop giving them ideas |
539. Believe it or not, I'm not talking about the anime. I'm talking about one of the mobile games (maybe the only mobile game?). I'll probably throw the anime in my Crunchyroll queue, then force everyone in my group to marathon it with me at Anime Detour when we've got no panels going on. This friend will probably be a willing party to force the others to watch it.
This friend is insanely obsessed with the game for various reasons. She was simultaneously telling me not to give in because it'll kill my wallet and telling me to give in because she wants someone she knows to play against and talk about it with. |
540
This isn't the first time but I know that I have no idea what yall are talking about. |
541
I've been told by many that I'm tsundere, and I'd tend to agree. EFTERING THE NINTH HOUR OF RENDERING |
542
Nine hours? Dang, that's slow |
543
Alright then... I'm going to leave here until the topic makes sense. |
544
WOAH POKESTICK WHEN DID YOU GROW A POKESTICK AND TURN BACK INTO A GUY? |
545
It's always been there, it just changes sizes "Compensating?" "What?" "Regeneration, it's a lottery" |
546
I see, so even Pokey goes through Futa stages. Huh. |
547. It falls off sometimes.
|
548
Oh, I know the feel. I just generally keep it a secret. |
549
It's always a problem when the pea grows into a cucumber. |
550
And it's not always in the same place |
