That's one that I hear about a lot, and I'll probably pick it up sometime. Dystopian books that serve as social commentaries- well, not necessarily just books, anything really, are my jam. Jams...Jammies? I like 'em. I'm also looking to read The Romance of the Three Kingdoms (if I can find it physically) and Megami Tensei. Also, unrelated, http://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-news/2014/04/03/the-monogatari-series-reveals-the-only-truth-out-of-its-april-fools-joke |

Horror novels! :D Anything-with-absolute-gore-in-it novels!~ :D |
U Know if there is an epub of that?
16 Sengoku rance that is |
17
I pretty much only read erotic fiction. |
18
Well those are easy to find LOL. Time for making press clips |
19.
I feel like I should read Brave New World because I am in a roleplay that is called that lmao. |
20
Coleslaw. |
21
Salads. Not that I'm eating that atm. |
22
Gonna go with Ambrosia, here. |
23.
Now I'm hungry. |
24
Were gonna bring roast beef sandwiches with coleslaw on a picnic, but since that's cancelled, I just had some pizza. Pizza is pretty rad. |
25
Weird, just got some ordered Pizza. Pizza's awesome. |
26
I didn't order pizza. I'll probably have some porridge sometime before 2am though. |
27
Porridge is traditionally Christmas food here, so the idea of eating it in spring is almost a bit foreign to me. :U |
28
I had some Persian Kebabs and Yogurt with long rice. Good stuff. |
29
Not eating porridge all year round. Madness. |
30
Eating porridge in spring is about as ridiculous as having pancakes for breakfast. #CultureShock #HashtagsOnPC |
31
Nobody really likes pancakes, that's why we only have them once a year. |
32
Pankakes are great, but I'm an Eggo Waffle person, myself. Eggo Waffles specifically, I'm not as big into others. |
33
Well of course America would like it. |
34
In America, you have really thick pancakes stacked on top of each other, smothered in syrup, for breakfast. Or so television tells me. Also I swear half of the people in sitcoms drink soda during every single meal. |
35.
Supper time for me over here. Pizza and Fries. Good times. |
36
At least America make some great TV. A lot of the current popular English stuff isn't very good. ;__; |
37
Not much of a TV watcher, myself, but everything I do watch is American. All..3 currently airing shows. Or 4, but Psych's ending, so... |
38
The only TV I really watch apart from the occasional news report is BBC Entertainment. And sometimes Comedy Central, I guess. Stand up is fun. Swedish stuff, especially drama shows, are hard to take seriously. Mostly because they're trying to ape American series, and it just doesn't go that well. We can do pretty nice documentaries, though. |
39
The Bridge was pretty nice, obviously not seen a lot from Sweden though. Oddly enough I think we are trying to appeal to the US audience, thinks like modern Doctor Who and Sherlock just don't seem English. Oh hey, Kenzen Robo starts tomorrow. I love that the official site is like something out of the 90s. |

41
The Bridge might work better for you because you don't have the same associations to the language. :P Then again, maybe it'd work for me, too. There are plenty of Nordic crime/thriller things that are done really well. Which reminds me that I've only read the first book of Millennium series. |
42
I don't think that is the case, if you like crime drama you should certainly at least like the first season. Second got a bit cray cray but it was still amusing. Didn't top much of the HBO stuff I've seen though. Think I'll watch a Brit drama next, maybe Life on Mars. |
43
Stuff I keep up with right now is Scandal and GoT when it starts. Finished House of Cards last month. Also don't you just: https://31.media.tumblr.com/60700c2a2d2940acb363ed02c1610a9a/tumblr_msdhkwr7HR1sedhtvo2_500.jpg |
44
I rather enjoy Fantasy and Sci-fi novels~♥ Also the occasional teen romance, recently finished "Living with Jackie Chan" by Jo Knowelles or something like that; really good book |
45
Well my football team are finally ded. Back to those crazy Japanese animes I guess. |
46
I wonder if there is something new to see. |
47
I've blind downlaoded a lot of shows already. Can't wait to drop them all. |
48
I've made a list of everything that's airing and what I will definitely try to watch, what I will watch for a little bit, what I'll only watch if I hear good things about it, what I'll only watch if I hear REALLY good things about it, and what I'll probably be disregarding completely. Then again, I'm also making some sort of elaborate plan about what roles my characters in Bravely Default should have, even though I have no idea what's to come. I just really seem to like planning. ...Oh god, jobs in bravely Default. There are so many things to consider that it's driving me mad. |
49
Just remember, Edea is better as a Phys than a Mage. Mahouka seemed interesting in Episode 1. Will pick up the Light Novel for more details. (Which I like) |
50
I hear the main character is Gary Stu to the max and his sister wants to jump his bones. Seems like it'll be right up your alley. |
51
Not bad, not bad at all. Though the Bro-con stuff needs to be replaced with some BL and all will be good with the world. Such banter aside I couldn't help but start nitpicking at the tropes that kept on popping up on the first episode. It's a fun game doing so. While it might have rubbed off here, there's no need to be all up in arms about it. As long as people enjoy what they see, what else is there to consider? Though personally I think I might have just gotten tired of the typical shonen trope of a lowly apprentice climbing up the ranks through hard work and determination that I actually prefer gary stu's who are already done with such typical tripe. |
53
Out of the shows that have come so far, it's the only one I've downloaded. Might be fun. Edea and Tiz have been competing over my party's place as a tank (AKA knight with OP Bloody Shield). I'll probably make her a physical DPS, but the monk class is becoming really boring. Hopefully the Valkyrie class comes along soon. Now to go back to training Agnes in the art of being a Red mage. |
53
Edea as a Templar or Valkyrie is pretty good. Valkyries Cresent Moon is OP for leveling until Chapter 6. I'd went with Tiz as a Mage and Ringabel as my DPS tho. Cuz Alternis lore and whatnot. I like keeping things semi-canon. |
54
Currently (in the order of how I have them aligned in the menu), Ringabel (favourite character) - Is my ranged DPS w/ Angel Bow, currently deciding whether to stick with Thief or Hunter as main job. Edea (second favourite character) - Has been my tank for the majority of the game so far, currently just levelling her as a knight before I get my hands on Valkyrie. Has the Bloody Shield atm. Has plenty of sword magic. Tiz (least favourite, bland) - Has been using him for his utility skills mostly, like Dungeon Master (also Gale Hairpin + Raid combo). Currently a knight with Sleep Sword and Blessed Shield (my main healing). Agnes (she has nice hair) - Is just a mage in general, switching between white, black and red mage depending on what I'm feeling. Summoning is pretty fun too. Very defensive with her abilities, as I sort of want to keep her alive for support. |
I love comedy
A lot of people find me funny by default, not really sure why Fiftyfive |
Agnes has been my main healer and support character throughout the game. Mostly running with White/Red Mage-Performer/Spiritmaster combo. And Tiz has been mostly Offensive Mage with Arcanist/Black Mage. It worked well for my tastes but its not the most efficient combo. But I have my own likes so LOL.
Ringabel on the other hand was a Dark Knight/Monk. Phoenix Flight and Minus whatever was a great combo. 56 |
57
Luckily, there are no wrong ways to play this game. :D ... "You joined for ROM Hacking, didn't you, Pokestick, good times.?" Y-yes. "Pokestick, good times. comes from a land down under" Okay, no, THAT'S a filthy lie. |
58
Yeah, you are a bit funny. |
59
http://i.imgur.com/JS045vk.png When you're trying to create a serious future scenario, one would hope you'd at least put some effort into it. |
60
I told you about light novels, bro. |
61
+ analytic, confident protagonist + production values are pretty great (sound direction especially) + decent implementation of magic - world building so far is crap (sci-fi elements could be better, too) - typical light novel-style girls show up from nowhere and want the D - high school setting and conflicts for the sake of conflict I can get into this. |
62
"The Federal Republic of Soviet" Good ol' grammar at its best. Also, how is it that they have all of the unions and alliances...and then Japan? |
63
Japan likes to be Japan, and grouping all other countries together into easily understandable factions is easier since they don't know of or give a crap about anything outside their borders. I especially like how they just split Europe into two geographical halves and managed to get east and west wrong. |
63
Good thing I wasn't expecting anything from a show with a sub-human target audience. |
64
Is there any anime that doesn't have a sub-human target audience? |
65
Jojo's Bizarre Adventure is one. |
New Mushishi op is done by a qt English singer. Nice.
|
66
I don't believe you. |
67
Meanwhile, I am downloading fanfics to read during my off time usually "My OC gets to sleep with every single female lead" stories They're usually well-written though |
68
Given the first OP to Mushishi, I'm not too surprised. |
69
Reading fan fiction is worse than reading light novels. I hope you read real books as well. Wow, I've said that a lot on here recently. |
70
I hope you read real books as well, due to the simple reason that real books are pretty great. |
71
Thus anime was saved. Spoiler:
|
72
I am both confused as to what you people are talking about and surprised that this thing is still alive after so many years hnnng |
|
74
Discussions of the phallic kind have always fascinated me. Something about them just erects my curiosity. |
75
*rimshot* |
76
I know, terrible wordplay from me. I don't think I quite get the beat of it yet. |
77
That one was better. |
78
Well anyway, what happened to the other counting game? I quite liked that one. It used to be where the "cool kids" hanged out. |
79
This site has cool kids? |
80
Only counting games around are this and TCTI. If there are other places where cool kids hang out, I don't want to be cool. |
81
I was referring to TCTI. It isn't on the top of the page anymore like it used to! This is an outrage! Except it's not really an outrage. |
71
Lets have sex scenes, head chopping, randomly convoluted plot points and super intense scrutiny of certain characters and call it a day. Definitely better than the usual fare. Actually it reminds me a lot of H plots. Good stuff. Though to be honest being attacked for taking the cost benefit analysis of watching anime over cooking food for lunch earlier has made me a bit more testy right now. |
brb, crying my eyes out

That story was amazing 72 Even if you're not a Brony, I highly recommend reading it |
73
I don't think any of us will read it. |
|
75
I really underestimated how into BD you are, Pokey. Glad to see that you like it, though; gives me a reason to wanna play my copy. |
76
No kidding. It's been taking up my entire past week. |
77
Haven't changed my desktop for months. I want to change my icons but still haven't gotten around to it. Usually have my taskbar hidden. |
78
Having it hidden can be pretty annoying when in programs that have functions near the bottom of the screen, so I just have to go with functionality. |
79
If I'm using anything like that I lock it. |
80
Thats a nice picture of Gardisia. It took me a whole week and 60+ hours to finish BD. is Bravely Second out yet? |
81
Should have put those 60 hours into watching anime. |
82
Gotta spice up my fandom lief ya know? |
Quote:
-Fandom lief huh? Well I guess spicy leaves make everything interesting. |

Yes, I find that problems that stem from regular leaves disappear if I use spicy ones. |
Join me for a MN convention, Netto. 85.

Oh, come on Pokestick. There has to be SOMETHING interesting happening on Route 112 that you want to post here. |
88
|
89
I think we might have to reimpose at least a word post for counting threads. Also I can't. DC -> MN is expensive. |
