Member Appreciation Thread.

Well, I figured, I made the suggestion for something similar, so why not have another. Maybe this one won't just die.

Basically, this is a thread where you show your appreciation to the members for what they do. It can be anything really, just as long as you're showing your appreciation. It seems like it'd be a good idea to have and could really make someone's day.

So, without further ado, I'll begin.

PlatinumDude. You are an awesome guy who helps so many people out in the Battle Server. It's great to know that I can always expect a well-thought out reply in that section.

Hikamaru & the Rest of the Welcoming Committee. You guys work so hard and honestly, when I joined, you made me feel special. Like I was home. It's awesome to have that feeling when you first join a forum, and I'm glad that you guys make it happen. You are all awesome!

Khoshi April 2nd, 2014 8:08 PM

Ooh yay, another version of this ^_^ hopefully it survives.

Well, I'll have to start with Macarous. If you know me well enough, then, well you would've heard of my bond with this legendary user. Sure, you're not here so much, but you're always in my heart. The sister I've always wanted.

Hmm..who else? Autumn Reverie is another one of my family (it's quite large), and she's a sweetheart. So helpful, and kind.

I'll continue this another day, as it takes me a while to come up with things to day, about really important people. :<

Sydian April 2nd, 2014 9:04 PM

[supporter]Puddle[/supporter], for bringing back this thread. Reading through the older ones today made me happy and I was really hopeful that this would return. So happy to sign on tonight to find that it has. Thanks a ton!

Honest April 3rd, 2014 7:52 PM

Just one for now, but [supporter]Vanille Sky[/supporter] for being an absolutely astounding member, and an incredibly amazing friend. You're awesome :')

Well, I have to agree with that. She surpassed me in PPD rather quickly and seems like an awesome person!

I'd also like to thank Dakota for owning the CCC and doing a fabulous job with it (:

Sirfetch’d April 3rd, 2014 8:08 PM

Just a shoutout to everyone who makes the battle server such an amazing place. I've been a member for about a year and a half now and a moderator almost all of that time and without you guys it wouldn't be where it is today so thanks for that!

El Héroe Oscuro April 3rd, 2014 8:15 PM

Yo Dante you better be reading this, because this shoutout's going to you! When I came back to PC earlier this year you were the one who I first became friends with and helped me ease back into the swing of things. You've showed me so much great anime as of late and I honestly can't thank you enough for helping me meet so many great people here, as well as showing my blog off in your signature! Seriously dude, you deserve the best and I wish you the best of luck on your exams coming up on the 6th!

Everyone should wish this guy some luck with a simple VM, he's working his butt off right now and still finds time to hang out with his friends on PC. That's a one of a kind fellow right there.

Fairy April 3rd, 2014 8:51 PM

Shout out time!

[supporter]Puddle[/supporter] earns himself a flood of respect from me, for being an absolute sweetheart and an awesome pair. Seriously, this kid has put more into PC in his short time here than a lot of members. He's eager, always available, and willing to learn. What can I say? He grew on me. <3

[supporter]Dante[/supporter], dude, I love you.

[supporter]elheroesasdfghjk[/supporter], your art in A&D, and the subsequent conversations we've had (although, I admit, I'm bad with replies) have brought a such a smile to my face. You're like the awesome little ray of sunshine and, even though our friendship is still young, I'm proud to have your presence in A&D. Keep being awesome.
even though I... can't spell your name.

Jak, for supplying me with my beautiful shining babies. I'm just ...still so grateful and happy, I can't say it enough. I want to shout it to the world.

I have like, 4955804 more people I want to mention, but I'm going to space it out. :3

Aquacorde April 3rd, 2014 9:46 PM

Wobbu and elheroeoscuro are the lights of my life tbqh.

Hikamaru April 3rd, 2014 10:20 PM

Here's who I think deserves the mentions:

Sheep because she's such an adorable person and is one of the warmest staff members you'll ever meet.

[supporter]Starry Windy[/supporter], you may be shy but you're learning how to improve your braveness and as a result you are overcoming many boundaries you thought you couldn't.

Autumn Reverie for being another friendly, adorable, heartwarming staff member who makes sure our newbies enjoy the most of the forums. Oh, and she loves cute animals!

[supporter]Aerial Ace[/supporter] for his amazing musical taste, seriously Nick we share too much musical taste in common with each other!

Terabyte for being what I admit is T&I's most dedicated mod in PC history. Unlike the others I saw looking over it before him, he's done a damn good job to lift it out of its once dead phase, oh and Snivys are awesome.

Dragon because well, he is the friendly Shawn we all know. Handles two active sections, and has the attitude to back it up.

Jak, aka our recently promoted smod, after what was almost five years modding five sections all together at once. Seriously, I don't think we can ever have another Syd, she's the only one who has the Syd factor, plus she's awesome to chat with!

Don't worry if I left you out, it's just that I had to narrow it down to the ones who deserved it the most but hey I still think you're cool.

Tsutarja April 4th, 2014 4:30 AM

Slayr231, my second pair. He's really quite the person to have a conversation with if you haven't already had one with him yet. He's also very devoted and inspiring toward helping others get into becoming a writer, or improve in their writing skills.

Minerva, for just being a good friend of mine for many years. I can't say it enough, though I'm sure I do. I'm glad you came back to staff because I'd never though I would be on staff with you at the same time again, and I really appreciate what you have done for FC&G since you were brought back.

[supporter]Twiggy[/supporter], for literally being the best regular to T&I that I have. If there's anyone that deserves to be a moderator there more than me, it's you by far.

Dragon, for being probably the most heartwarming person here on PC. I had a strong feeling he would make it to moderator of The Welcome Lounge, and that surely has really paid off. If there wasn't a catalyst like him in TWL, then it makes me wonder where a lot of members that have been welcomed by him would be today.

Sheep, for honestly being another heartwarming person here on PC. I remember starting to get active in TWL last year, and then after that, I got a VM from her to start a conversation with me and the rest is history. I was so happy to see she made it up to smod, because she devoted a lot to her section.

[supporter]Hikamaru[/supporter], for improving over the past year from her original self. You are definitely the most PC-spirited person I have seen around here by far, and I really hope that keeps up.

Miss Fortune, for ditching the jellicentfan1 name. Who needs a nooby name like that? But seriously, if you're ever a beginner player (such as myself) in League of Legends, this guy can help you out.

Jak, for working hard in your nearly three weeks as an smod. I was honestly surprised to see that the h-staff chose you, considering you were the only person I could think of to run five sections at a time. You were already a moderator of GPGD by the time I joined PC, and I really hope you continue to shine on for a long time as a member of staff.

Peitharchia. This one is really self-explanatory. Ashley has been by far one of the best to chat with around PC, and she devotes a lot of time to maintaining her section. I am also very envious of her skills when it comes to designing forum styles, and I really wish I had the talent she did.

And finally, this shoutout goes to skyluigi2, my first pair. When I first met him, I was shy at first, but we slowly started chatting, and it's evolved to chatting on an almost daily basis now.

Not sure why, but whenever someone mentions my name, I immediately think I did something wrong :c I shall return the favour and say that Dakota made it extremely easy for me to become acquainted with the community, and teaching me along the way by giving me tips (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ We've both been busy recently with school and life, so haven't talked as much as we did about a month ago, but you still one of my close friends from and on PC~

Khilia April 4th, 2014 9:57 AM

Oh god...
Everybody for being this honestly really awesome community I know for those few months so far and always being entertaining on the most boring of days, for probably having accepted me as the thing I am (if somebody eventually doesn't know what I mean , said somebody might have a look at the "Most Private Thing You'll Admit" thread), for all of you being friend material and always being seemingly nice and such and everythings and all such things
...
*slowly turning into cheese*

Nah April 4th, 2014 12:06 PM

Hmm, might as well join in. There's one I can think of off the top of my head:

[supporter]PlatinumDude[/supporter]. Just wanted to say thank you for pointing out the stupid ♥♥♥♥ I sometimes write in the Battle Center and for being a great help with team building. So yeah...

Don't worry, I like the rest of you guys too. =P I wonder how many of the people mentioned will actually see these posts....

Khoshi April 5th, 2014 7:07 AM

Since we went down for a sec, gotta retype it all :( I present you to Nonon's Honourable People Mk. II!

Peitharchia is someone I'd basically call my best friend. I always smile around her, because of the good times we've both had and are going to have. I just really like her and look up to her. She's fantastic. <3

Poki's a really interesting person, a new friend of mine, someone I like being around. Her conversations are pretty fun, and I always can't hold back a grin around her. :p

[supporter]elheroeoscuro[/supporter] is just, wow. For one, he shares my interests. It all started when he commented on me about my username, and then I found out he liked the Kill la Kill anime. One of my favourite anime. Nice to find a person I really clicked with who also liked it.

Aslan. The little lion of PC's battle server. You're like a little sister to me, and you also live in Sydney. Maybe we should meet one day, and...idk, do epic stuff! :)

Nova, muh partner in crime. You're absolutely awesome. I like what you've done to Video Games along with Aura. Tidier than it was last year. I also love your obsession with real time strategy games x)

[supporter]Supernova[/supporter], the other nova :p We met when I came across Nova talking about you on the battle server, so I looked around and found your profile. Mother of Arceus, amazing. You're also a part of my ever expansive family, and I never want you out of it. Love you, sis :p

and to the others of PokeCommunity. There's about a can't-be-bothered-to-measure amount of you members here, and I couldn't be here without your contributions. Thanks for making this place what it is.

maccrash April 5th, 2014 7:33 AM

Razor Leaf. he's cool. :0)

Aquacorde April 5th, 2014 8:07 PM

elheroeoscuro: for continuing to interest me with blogs, making FC&G a fun experience, and being a lovely person in general
Jak: for the help
jdthebud: for enjoying the stream and now anticipating future ones
Cordelia & Nova: for listening
Sage Ghetsis: for coming back with enthusiasm for Watch-Along and being able to pick up where we left off
Spino: for rolling with it and prompting me to listen to the gloriousness that is Layton vs AA music
Wobbu: for dedication and being reasonable as well as understanding

Sir Codin April 5th, 2014 9:46 PM

Kanzler: We may be opposed on the economic scale of things, but his insight is enlightening and I thank him for keeping up with his professionalism despite our occasional disagreements.

Sopheria: I agree with her on a lot of things and I respect her for holding true to her convictions.

New Eden April 7th, 2014 6:09 PM

The whole community. Just about everyone in it.

It's been quite a while since I could go onto a board so much not because of habit, but because of the people that frequent it. 99.9% of the people I've talked to here are lovely.

Dragon April 9th, 2014 4:59 AM

Big thanks to you guys over on the Welcome Lounge! Your dedication and warm-hearted ness on welcoming people s truly outstanding! In fact, I think each of you deserve more credit than ever - it all starts with new members, and I find i very satisfying that you guys open up to then and give them warm smiles!

So again, thank you. (:

Treecko April 9th, 2014 5:12 AM

I only have time for one right now, but there's so many people here I'd like to show my appreciation for here. But to [supporter]Hikamaru[/supporter] my first and only pair. You were one of the first friends I made here and the first person I really became close to. You're one of the nicest members on PC who is helpful to anyone who needs it. Also would like to say that you have such wonderfui welcome greetings which shows your enthusiasm and definitely makes even me feel welcomed here. I honestly can't believe it's been almost a year since we were paired. You rock girl!

gimmepie April 9th, 2014 7:18 AM

Nauje - You sir, are awesome. You're an great co-GM, really helpful with sorting out through all my random ideas, fun to talk to and just generally a nice guy.

Nova - My nemesis. You're so much fun to talk to and play games with, I love our random conversations and the weird stuff we get up to in the Battle Server chat.

Moogles, Alex, Kanzler, Daigonite, LuckHax and Alessi-sys (sorry for any errors on usernames here) - You guys have been the most entertaining and interesting way of waking my brain up so I can get into my assignment easier. It's really interesting learning how you guys in D&D think and of your perspectives on things (even if we don't agree) and if it makes doing my uni stuff easier that's an awesome bonus.

El Héroe Oscuro April 9th, 2014 11:46 AM

Also wanted to give a quick shoutout to Owl. Although I haven't really talked to you that much, I can only imagine how much time and effort it has taken to implementing this new welcoming system here on Poke Community, as well as being patient and listening to everyone's problems that may have occurred because of the change. This coding system goes way over my head, but I can only imagine that there are a lot of lines of code that have to be written to make everything function properly, not to mention all of the themes that PC has that it needs to align with.

If any other admins are affiliated with this, mad props to you as well!

Pendraflare April 9th, 2014 6:04 PM

Hm, who do I want to mention? I'll try to make these short and to the point.

Lilith of course for always putting up with me and cheering me up, and just being nothing short of utterly heartwarming. :)

Cordelia for being totally over the top and awesome, and neat.

[supporter]Black Mage[/supporter] and [supporter]Goo[/supporter] for being witty and funny people who have just been cool to have around in TC chat. And the latter in the Supporter Skype room.

[supporter]Hikamaru[/supporter] for her dedication to the site and greeting the newbies, and just being there to talk to.

Minerva for going from dealing with my bulls*** to being very easygoing and quite caring.

[supporter]Sage Ghetsis[/supporter] for being the crazy fellow TC'er and challenge bro.

And lastly, [supporter]Belldandy[/supporter] for being a nice girl who's just been fun to talk to and keep me in good spirits.

There are likely a few others I could name, but these are just a few for the time being.

TY April 10th, 2014 12:37 PM

Allright... here we go 8)

gimmepie: You are not only my arch nemesis, but also one of my best friends on PC ever since I began becoming active around here. The Sc2 games are always fun and talking to you never gets old cause of the randomness 8)

Dragon: For being really helpful to me when I started to mod Video Games alongside you. It is a blast maintaining it together and helping me out when I don't know something :3

However that goes aswell for every staff member around here, everyone is really helpful and helping me a lot even though they should just kick me for asking too much xD

Nonon: You show interest in RTS games which I love. Just being interested is already enough for me haha. Also you are a great listener whenever there is something up my mind and you gave a new sentence to spam at people in SC2 whenever they get butthurt 8)

Autumn Reverie: Perhaps one of the members I should appreciate the most for what you have done for me. You were there like 90% of the time when I felt crap and just kept making me feel better every single time. Also you are evil :P

[supporter]Supernova[/supporter]: Quite obvious why 8)
But asides that, before that nonsense happened, you were already a nice person to talk to and at a point where I was thinking of leaving completely... you showed up with a massive message and I was just... stunned by it haha.

[supporter]Aquacorde[/supporter]: While I may not have ranted as much, I already feel like I could rant a lot to you and you would listen to it, which is something great in my opinion if that matters haha.. Also I'm still your nubcake :P

I may have missed out on people, but I can't please everyone with a spot here D:
There would be 4 pages of text which would make PC crash ;~;

Sydian April 10th, 2014 12:49 PM

Link, for believing in me for all this time. I wouldn't be where I am without you pulling through for me.

[supporter]Champion Lunis[/supporter], for all the great trades. It's great to share such awesome Pokemon with each other! I love to make people happy with the Pokemon I've worked hard for and I know you appreciate them just as much as I appreciate yours!

[supporter]elheroeoscuro[/supporter], for being a great person to talk to. You're an awesome guy and I hope we can become great friends. You're really a joy and a fresh breath of air here.

[supporter]Sage Ghetsis[/supporter], for not only being a great and helpful regular, but an amazing friend.

To all my other Swablu, thank you for all the kind words and support. I would not be where I am today on PC without you. You're all incredible, creative, and even a little crazy. I wouldn't have it any other way. You all make Challenges soar, and it's only going to go up from here. Thank you for the patience. Believe me, what's to come is worth it. Fly high always. x

Alexander Nicholi April 10th, 2014 1:00 PM

First, and I know I can't do it enough, I want to thank [supporter]Twiggy[/supporter] for hanging around and being my friend since God knows when. It's pushing three years I've known him, and even though I met him on Bulbagarden I still love to talk to him here on PC. Thanks for partnering up with me to make Pikapost/TBN/TNF/PokéSphere all those ages ago, and listening to me blow off steam about this or that (I'll try to keep it to myself though), and most of all thanks for being a help with technological things, as before I talked to you and Geoff I hadn't a clue about anything tangible with computers and how to put them together and make builds and stuff. By the way, we need to talk!

Speaking of the devil, I'd also like to throw huge gratitude to Geoff for coming to me on Skype not a day after I made it, wanting to talk to me about anything and help me as a person. It's nice to have a friend who's been through the works and knows what's good and what isn't to help me along with my existence on PC, and it's always beneficial to have a contact of experience in the digital world, what with your pipe organs and all. :)

Finally, I want to say that Luck Hax has been an amazing person to talk to over Skype, and in all honesty there's so much to talk to you with that is more than difficult to share with others. You're a very interesting and wacky person to talk to who is very intelligent and is more than happy to put things bluntly when they need to be said as such. Thanks. :D

DarkSerenity April 14th, 2014 11:22 PM

I'm grateful to everyone on this site. But I am most grateful towards the users who create tutorials for ROM hacking and those who help others. They deserve a medal.

Smeargle April 14th, 2014 11:51 PM

Definitely grateful for karatekid552 for withstanding my near steady stream of questions, small discoveries, and comments on his page.
I also have a special appreciation for the first person who greeted me to the site, sheep x)
