Need caffeine nowwwww!!
So, do you drink a lot of caffeine? Does it ever keep you up at night?
I usually drink it during the daytime. I try to stop drinking it after five because it affects my ADHD and medications. >< I have actually cut down on the amount of caffeine I drink, which I think is a good thing. What about you? :3 |
I've never found a correlation between the amount of caffeine I drink and how late I stay up. I accredit my nighttime-insomnia to taking naps all throughout the daytime.
That being said, I don't actually know what I drink that consists of caffeine. I drink a lot of orange soda and Sprite, one of which at least I'm pretty sure doesn't have caffeine. |
The first thing I do when I get up in the morning is flip on my apartment lights; the second is head to the coffee maker. I probably drink the equivalent of 2 cups most mornings, so you could call me a regular coffee drinker. I only ever drink it in the mornings though, and I don't drink sodas (mostly just decaf tea, occasionally various fruit juices) so I don't have any evening caffeine problems.
|
I can't take caffeine at all. It makes me feel like complete crap. It makes me feel really anxious and on edge, and then the crash afterwards takes a lot out of me. When I need energy I usually go for multi-vitamins.
|
I drink a cup of coffee every morning so I suppose you could call me a regular coffee drinker. I don't necessarily need it to function every morning however it helps me get that extra little kick to do what I need and/or want to do.
|
That's how I am. I don't like coffee much, so I usually drink soda that has Caffeine. I often drink it in the warning, just enough to wake me up. I know it can usually cause you to crash though too, so that's why I'm careful when I do drink it.

I meant that I usually drink soda in the MORNING to wake me up. Coffee is usually rare for me, but we have a Kuerig coffee maker where you put in the little cups or whatever. I have to add a lot of milk and sugar too, or it tastes like chalk to me. Yes, I've tasted chalk before lol. Don't judge me. :x |
I don't have caffeine often. I actually quit it at one point because it was murdering my system and ability to stay awake (interestingly enough...)
I will still have it on a few occasions. I know the occasional Dr. Pepper ain't gonna kill me. |
Coke all day erryday. I need caffeine in the morning to even wake me up, or else I'd be dead for the whole day. I usually just drink a bunch of soft drinks in order to keep up, and it does a wonderful job.
|
Caffeine makes me extremely shaky, so I have to be careful how much I have if I have no other choice - I can't swallow pills, so I usually wind up taking soluble tablets for headaches etc...which have the smallest amount of caffeine imaginable in them. That's enough to make me jittery for several hours after it hits my system.
I don't drink coffee, because it really does keep me up all night if I do....plus I really don't like the taste of coffee. Or, rather, I have yet to taste a variety that hasn't made me wince from the flavour. |
I only drink black coffee. Most mornings I make a coffee when I wake up and then I buy one that tastes significantly better on my way to school, as well as whatever I drink when I get home. I've always had really awful sleeping habits (we're talking 3AM - 6:30AM) and I haven't found that it's been what keeps me up at all; if anything it makes me more drowsy because it gets me so relaxed. Caffeine forever!
|
I only drink coffee during the school year so that I am wake enough to take my daughter to school.
I don't really like coffee and prefer drinking coke-cola and hot chocolate. |
Coffee every morning. I get major headaches and get really shaky if I don't. Addictions are fun.
|
I hate the taste of coffee D: I've learned to cope and not depend on caffeine to keep me up during the nights or wake me up in the mornings. The only things I drink are water and vitamin water, the latter of which I normally use when I play badminton because it tastes more refreshing :3
|
I try to avoid caffeine anymore as its not the best for my heart and I really notice it, especially after years of ADHD meds (Concerta and Adderal mostly) . I love coffee though. I like it nice and black and bitter and I dont mind when it goes cold.
Best thing I ever had was at a local coffee shop in St. Petersburg Fl that I hear now has gone out of business. It was called a chai charger which was iced chai tea and espresso with the ice being frozen espresso. I miss that :/ |
I drink caffeine when I know I need to stay up for work and the caffeine is a requirement. Or soemtimes when I'm just craving mountain dew or coffee or something. However, I drink it very minimally
|
I usually drink coffee in the morning, and i do think it helps me to stay awake.
Normally i dont use it to stay up at night though, if there is something i need to get done the pressure of it alone keeps me awake enough xD |
I don't have it.
The closest I probably get is the occasional cup of green tea. Otherwise the only drink I consistently have is water. Tasty, refreshing; gets the job done. |
I normally brew a small pot of coffee for myself in the morning. No one else in my house drinks it. If I don't have time to make it at home, I will try to hit up the DD that's on my way to work to get an iced coffee
|
I think I have both tea and coffee almost everyday, but there are times when I lose my coffee mood for a week and it's just straight tea.
I don't really notice not being able to sleep unless I drink strong coffee like Starbucks or a Latte late at night. |
I am not a coffee person. I've never drank a single cup of coffee my entire life; I'm serious. The closest I've ever gotten to coffee was decaf coffee-flavoured Up & Go and coffee candy called Kopiko. I don't need to depend on caffeine to stay up till late night; I do it all the time without its effects.
|
I actually do drink a lot of caffeine/coffee, usually coffee, especially during the week (Monday-Friday) as I need something to get me through classes and work. Which I'm headed to here soon. Dx
|
Caffeine has some really weird effects for me. It definitely makes me feel more on the ball, as it does for most people who it works for (although that said it only seems to apply to when I'm working and whatnot; I don't feel like it keeps me awake at night), but I find it has a fair impact on my mood, thought processes and... idk. How I feel in general. Albeit a weak one I treat it like any other drug in its own right for the mind-altering effects I get from it. I don't drink it for the sake of getting through the day or whatever, although it does help some in early morning lectures.
...so needless to say I drink loads of coffee. Idk how many cups I'd say I have in a day - I just drink it often. I'm also not sure how strong a regular 'cup' is since I've got a pint-size mug (sportsdirect, baby <3) and people tell me I make it really strong in that. But it's just a lot in any case. 8D |
I drink some in small amounts, but I need to not drink caffeine. It's bad for me. :( My dependance has been a lot worse than it is now. I'm starting to get a caffeine headache right now, I think, but I'm too sick to drink it.
I can drink soda, coffee with sugar and cream, or energy drinks. I'm not terribly picky if it helps keep me awake. |
I don't drink coffee at all but I love tea and hot chocolate. I've been going to Starbucks fairly regularly - at least two or three times a week - to get some hot choco. Perfect weather for it too given how cold it is here lately.
Coffee is just not my thing. |
I can't function without coffee before school.
I made myself a cup of tea this morning and right now, I'm so exhausted I could fall asleep right now. The only issue is that coffee keeps me up later than usual. |
I can't function without coffee..at all. Like, I gotta have a cup before school. Right now it's day 29 of lent and I've survived this long without it and trust me it's paaaainful.
|
I drink it mostly out of habit because, maybe awhile ago, when I first started doing so, I needed it because High school sucks, and I tried everything, then eventually I just did it regularly for not too much reason. Meh. I guess it just happened.
|
I'm in the habit of drinking at least a can of some kind of coke or pepsi per day. Maybe two, if I'm feeling particular adventurous! But nothing much stronger than that.
A lot of the times I could probably do without the caffeine, although there are plenty of times when I grab a soda in the mornings just because I think "man, I'm still a bit tired, I'll grab one just to pick myself up a bit more". Don't really need it, it does seem to help wake me up slightly, and thankfully it doesn't really affect me negatively. Or at least, I don't recall it really affecting my ability to sleep afterwards. Usually. |
It's weird, because caffeine doesn't really seem to affect me much. Maybe because I grew up drinking soda and coffee. These days, as an adult, I can drink caffeine and I don't feel more awake after drinking it. Plus, I don't get that crash after a few hours when the caffeine wears off.
I have been drinking less caffeine though. And that really doesn't change much for me. No addiction to it, no side effects. All I drink to get my caffeine fix is a can of Mountain Dew Kickstart. Other people at my workplace have tried it after seeing me drink it, and they say that it wakes them up really well in the morning. For me, I just like the taste. |
I don't like the taste of coffee. Even if I put lots of cream and sugar in it, it's still got that bitter taste. I've only had a full cup of coffee on two occasions in my life, and both times I ended up lying awake in bed until 6am, wasn't pleasant. I don't really have a problem staying awake or concentrating as it is (or whatever it is caffeine is supposed to do for you), so I never felt the need to purposely drink caffeine to stay up or anything.
|
The only form of Caffeine I consume would be in chocolate and even that I don't eat too frequently.
I don't like the taste of coffee or many teas and I do not drink that much pop. When I do drink pop it's the fruity kinds too so I don't even know if they have caffeine in them. o: |
I can't drink coffee or energy drinks or anything like that to keep me awake because it makes me so shaky and ill. So I try to stay away from caffeine if possible, which makes me sad because I love creamer/coffee.
|
I am a horrible person when I don't get my coffee. Luckily I'm a barista, so getting it isn't nearly as much of a problem anymore. Haha
|
I'm not supposed to drink caffeine. It aggravates my heart condition that they still haven't figured out what it is exactly lol
I love my Monster energy drinks, though :( but I'm dieting, too, so can't drink it anymore; and even if I wasn't on my diet, see above. I avoid pop and coffee, tea, etc. because again, unless it's green tea, diet. :( |
I do not take in a lot of caffeine. Not the biggest fan of coffee, and I have no plans to ever drink an energy drink. So, pretty much a caffeine-free person. I do enjoy the occasional tea though.
Besides, caffeine doesn't keep me awake ._. No, idea why. But any time I need to stay up late or something and drink caffeine, I still can doze off into sleep pretty easily. |
