Acne
Do you have sensitive skin when it comes to being prone to pimples? How do you deal with them?
I know that during puberty especially, acne is one of the most prominent physical effects of that phase, but even after that portion of my life, my skin has always been prone to acne which inevitably leaves an unattractive amount of blemishes from time-to-time \: Ever since then, I've been going through multiple medications that attempt to fix that problem. They've been helpful in getting rid of once they show, but not much in terms of preventing acne from happening. I heard toothpaste works though, apparently, but I've never tried it because I cannot stand the smell and texture of it in my mouth, never mind my face >< Generally my daily routine in terms of my face would be to apply an Oxy pad to my face every morning before going out, and then putting on this transparent type of cream my doctor prescribed during the night. |
My acne only gets bad when I don't take care of it. When I apply the whole three-step Proactiv bull♥♥♥♥ it tends to really shape up and become almost unnoticeable. It's always been there showing in remission, even when I do though. :(
|
I don't have bad acne at all. I tend to only get pimples once and while around my hair line. I really only deal with blackheads on my nose which I buy pore strips for and use blackhead scrub stuff. BACK IN THE DAY THOUGH I went through puberty before everyone else in my grade and I had super bad acne and it really sucked. Once I got to highschool though I was very thankful my acne years came early <33

I still have acne. If I didn't touch my face all the time, it would probably be far more minimal. My pimples are almost exclusively on my chin now, and guess what I touch all the time?
I used to wear a hat everywhere as a teenager, and I had bad acne on my forehead. Now it doesn't happen. And those bad pimples left scars because I picked at them. D: My blackheads are permanent. But I don't do much to try to get rid of them. Or minimize them? I don't even know if they can go away. *shrugs* |
I have terrible cystic acne even to this day. It runs in the family, my father and grandfather both had it.
I have loads of scarring by now from it, and I still get painful breakouts. I have a cream I use that's helpful though~ |
I used to have it really bad, really early. Pills and cream prescription for me. I think I was 11 when it started. No scars or anything because I was terrified of popping them. By the time I was 15 it was pretty much gone.
Now I just rotate between using the Simple and St. Ives Apricot face cleansers. My skin is super sensitive, they're all I've found that won't dry out my skin and make it peel horribly. :c Luckily, now I'll only have one or two pop up once in awhile, wherever the hell it wants. On my chin, my lip, my nose, my cheek, in my hairline on my forehead, in my eyebrow.. Whatever, they don't care. It'll show up one day, I'll pop it and wash my face, then it's usually all clear the next day. If not, Visine for red eyes makes it a lot less noticeable. :3 |

I never had acne when I was that age to to you the truth
|
I've always been really lucky with my skin. I get the occasional pimple here and there (more often during certain parts of my cycle) but they go away pretty quickly and the rest of the time my skin is fine. It's pretty much always been that way for me and I'm really thankful for it.
|
I had a lot of problems during my 11-14 years of age. My forehead was full of them. :p But now its very rare. Most of my colleages suffered from it recently. Not me. Thank god. :3
|
I have never really had terrible acne.
I got a little in my early teens that has sort of refused to completely go away ever since though. So even after being done with that awful puberty business I've got these little splotches of pimples (that thankfully are almost unnoticeable) that just never entirely go away. Witch hazel is awesome. My mum used to buy it for herself, but I tried some one day out of randomness and annoyingly itchy pimples and it almost completely cleared me. I don't know exactly what that stuff is but it works. |
I was one of the few students in my class level back in high school that didn't experience acme on a severe basis. However, I still do occasionally get zits on my lower face around my chin from time to time, but that's it. My face doesn't really get red or anything.
|
I don't get awful breakouts. When I do, they tend to be on my chin bit it's nothing too severe. I wash my face in the morning and at night with a Dove moisturizing bar for sensitive skin and that really helps out
|
I don't have much trouble with acne anymore. And the funny thing is that it rarely showed up in noticeable places. I would get pimples around my hairline and on my arm a lot and around my eyebrows. But you would rarely notice because I have really thick oily hair and on my arm they normally showed up on my upper arm which was always covered by my sleeve.. But the thing is that I scar really easily and not I have little red bumps all around my hairline because of those pimples... :( Another odd thing is the fact that I started getting pimples around 8 and now I almost never get pimples.
|
Luckily for me, I never really did get too much acne. I did get a few every once in a while but they never were out of control which is a surprise because I have such fair skin.
Whenever I did get them, I could easily cover them with concealer and then just put cream on them that would dry them right out. Then they'd disappear in no longer than two days. It's definitely important to wash your face every night and apply cream that dries your skin out on the spots that you get pimples on most. Do that at night only because man...your face feels nasty being all dry. x3 Then in the morning put on moisturizer if needed. Now that I'm 19, I'm pretty much past the worst of the pimple scene. I haven't gotten a pimple in months. If anything, my skin is generally dryer now, especially around my forehead and eyebrows. I just put on a little moisturizer and I'm all set to go! (I'm at work currently so I don't remember what the cream brand I use is called but once I get home I'll check and post the name! <3) |
I remember having quite a bit of acne when I was a teenager (oh god), but thankfully I really haven't had much of anything in recent years. The occasional pimple or two, but that's about it.
...I just usually let it go away on its own, whenever one pops up. :( |
I had acne quite badly when I was a teenager...probably because I was fairly inconsistent in applying stuff to my face. But I hate hate HATE having substances rubbed into my skin; I'd much rather suffer cracked skin, heat rash and spots than have something rubbed into and then left on my skin. It's always bothered me to no end. So I ended up leaving my acne to go away on its own - which it eventually did - rather than trying to hasten the process. Natural part of growing up, and all that.
I get terrible acne now when I'm stressed, though...during my exams at University I had a mass breakout of acne, and when I first started work (and close to when my contract expired) I had another bad bout as well. It always clears up within a week or two, so I'm going to assume it's stress related, weird as that might sound. |
I'm not sure if it's acne, but I'm very prone to having pimples grow all over my body. It's not a pretty sight at all.
|
It's going to sound conceited, but I get complimented for my skin all the time. It's pretty good lol.
|
I hate the ones that show up behind the ear lobe, corner of a nostril, edge of the lip, or just buried in my beard just trying to landmine my shaving time. I get most of my acne to my upper chest, biceps, and shoulders. Landmines to the face are generally near my nose.
|
I have this prescription strength stuff that I got from my doctor but it's not proactive and it's not wildly expensive. I was using it on my arms because I have like this pimply rash looking thing that's been there since I was born and my mom has it too. I never really used the cream until I started getting pimples. But my pimples are more along the lines of ingrown hairs usually. But for treatment it's all the same, I wake up and find the oldest, roughest washcloth that I can get and start by rubbing my face with it dry and then I get it wet with boiling water and put soap on it (I use the Irish Springs body wash not the bar) and then scrub my face really hard and wash it off. Then I rub with a pad just to make sure before putting on some cream. I don't get pimples often but when I do I make sure they don't stay around for more than a day.

I've always been kinda lucky, and I never usually get more then one spot at a time, also they go away pretty quickly. I am covered in freckles all over my arms and face though, but I just think of them as sun kisses
|
I get occasionally pimples around my mouth which is really annoying because they get really red and I do my best to cover them up. At night, I use toothpaste on them and then usually the next day they're almost gone. :D It's really annoying though because I'm 27 and I still get them. :(

I'm grateful to have been blessed with relatively clear skin. I mean, yeah, I get the sporadic pimple every once in a while, but I never really had like terrible acne.
|
I'm an odd case. I'm mixed so my face doesn't break out on its own. I only have a pimple pop up on a very rare occasion and it's usually either due to a) someone touching my face with their nasty, greasy hands, b) my own greasy hair (after awhile not watching it, if that happens) lying on my forehead, or c) stress. I never break out excessively; for instance I had a stress pimple on my chin a few days ago and when it disappeared it was gone. I get them on my nose sometimes, as well, but those are also due to stress. Or I've changed my eating habits and I'm eating super unhealthily.
And speaking of that last point, I'll probably have a couple soon because I haven't been watching my diet the past couple of weeks, oops. @[email protected] |

When I was first going through puberty and my hormones were going wild, I would frequently get a good amount of acne on my forehead. It wasn't super bad, just that there were more than I would desire. Thankfully, my acne actually got better during high school, and my skin is relatively clear now. I still get the occasional break out at around my chin area for some reason though D:
