Edit: It just happens at PC.

Flygon trainer March 6th, 2005 4:21 PM

I have a simaler problem. I may also add that for no reason whatsoever, virus infections have been found and deleted all over my computer. I tried other sites, this does not occur. I beleive that something on PC is causing this, but I still do not know what. If an admin could give any information on what is going on and how to prevent our computers from being infected, I would be grateful.

Team Magma Girl March 6th, 2005 4:22 PM

Same here....My Norton Anti Virus is removing the virus on my computer....

Shining Mew March 6th, 2005 4:23 PM

Yeah, this just happened to me too. Sometimes the coding stuff changes... it gets longer and shorter o0 Whats going on?

FaerieEsqueThing March 6th, 2005 4:25 PM

>> Em...I think PC was hacked...a similiar thing happened to my site. *runs McAfee right away*

Eliana March 6th, 2005 4:26 PM

OMG finally!!! Its happening to me and I ish scared XD

The Fallen March 6th, 2005 4:30 PM

Yeah it's a virus named bloodhound.I guess it's on PC server 0.0;
Leaves PC XD.
Now I got one that say it's name is trojan. Thanks God for my Norton anti-vruse XD.

Eliana March 6th, 2005 4:31 PM

Oh yeah...it got into my computer....is that....bad? XD

Kecleon_ March 6th, 2005 4:32 PM

Happening here too. I was alitte afraid to try coming back for fear of getting another virus.

I think I'll be on a few other sites for a while... and I'll run Norton Anti-virus as soon as I leave. *glances around suspiciously*

Alex_ March 6th, 2005 4:33 PM

Well...this sucks :\ It's messing up colors on PC. IM no computer dude, but maybe it's time for PC to reset if that would help.

Pokemon Master #1 March 6th, 2005 4:33 PM

Is PC being hacked?!

I've got this to.Unfortunatly I got a virus according to Nortan Anti-Virus.It's some kind of "Blood Hound" Virus.Cool name, but this whole thing is really screwed up o_O.

The Fallen March 6th, 2005 4:33 PM

I just alerted Steve, but he's set to away right now ;_;

FaerieEsqueThing March 6th, 2005 4:39 PM

This may very well be the work of a hacker. When my site was hacked, I got coding errors and viruses too.

Alex_ March 6th, 2005 4:41 PM

Well,Ya know,we havent seen Quast in a while :p

Trent March 6th, 2005 4:41 PM

Weird...it's happening to me too...

Eliana March 6th, 2005 4:42 PM

Some info on the stupid virus:
Bloodhound.Exploit.6 is a heuristic detection for exploits of a Microsoft Internet Explorer vulnerability. This vulnerability was discovered in February 2004.

The vulnerability results from the incorrect handling of HTML files embedded in CHM files. (CHM is the Microsoft-compiled HTML help format.)

Therefore....

Connection: close Content-Type: text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1 /1.3.33 (Unix) mod_jk/1.2.6 mod_auth_passthrough/1.8 mod_log_bytes/1.2 mod_bwlimited/1.4 PHP/4.3.10 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635 mod_ssl/2.8.22 OpenSSL/0.9.7a X-Powered-By: PHP/4.3.10 Expires: 0 Cache-Control: private, post-check=0, pre-check=0, max-age=0 Pragma: no-cache Set-Cookie: bbthread_lastview=4c7de665e30bbb10f3c8a0a53279208cax1x-ix32439ysx10x%221110156067%22y_; path=/ Content-Length: 144804

^ is our problem

mvtm March 6th, 2005 4:44 PM

Yeah as i keep telling you guys , this is a trojan which attempted creating a blackdoor on the PHP , but somehow , i think this inst that serious , most trojans does not represent major damage.

The Fallen March 6th, 2005 4:47 PM

We might have to, evrything may be lost.Noooo.Eli's post count will be zero 0.0 XD.

mvtm March 6th, 2005 4:48 PM

Postocunts , may be edited , on the VB admin panel , Eli wont lose her posts they can be edited is something happens.

Haruka March 6th, 2005 4:48 PM

anyways, This virus will only affect users who uses IE, not firefox, opera, etc.

This might happen if you open it on IE:
http://img166.exs.cx/img166/2729/virus19td.th.jpg http://img172.exs.cx/img172/6793/virus25gq.th.jpg

Alex_ March 6th, 2005 4:50 PM

Meh,lucky me I use IE x_X

Trent March 6th, 2005 4:51 PM

What does the .cfm at the end of the file stand for anyway?

mvtm March 6th, 2005 4:51 PM

hmm i got firefox , but on my other pc , i guess this is no surprise that only affects IE users since, IE is more vulnerable to this kinds of events.

Sawyer March 6th, 2005 4:53 PM

well, i'm glad i never use IE XD

EvIL_CAjUN_CHIkIN March 6th, 2005 4:54 PM

I've got the same problem, only the thing at the top of my screen is longer:

Connection: close Content-Type: text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1 /1.3.33 (Unix) mod_jk/1.2.6 mod_auth_passthrough/1.8 mod_log_bytes/1.2 mod_bwlimited/1.4 PHP/4.3.10 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635 mod_ssl/2.8.22 OpenSSL/0.9.7a X-Powered-By: PHP/4.3.10 Expires: 0 Cache-Control: private, post-check=0, pre-check=0, max-age=0 Pragma: no-cache Set-Cookie: bbthread_lastview=a740ba279fccea5df0036e91a3b6087eax13x-ix833ysx10x%221110133148%22yix32377ysx10x%221110132251%22yix32388ysx10x%221110142211%22yix1511ysx10x%221110132815%22yix32356ysx10x%221110132762%22yix31930ysx10x%221109743412%22yix31962ysx10x%221110133270%22yix32418ysx10x%221110143761%22yix28401ysx10x%221110144302%22yix32424ysx10x%221110145524%22yix32335ysx10x%221110145360%22yix31213ysx10x%221110145316%22yix32439ysx10x%221110156693%22y_; path=/ Content-Length: 226126

Trent March 6th, 2005 4:54 PM

It keeps sending me a file called "object.cfm" for some reason...what does the .cfm mean? Is that file the virus?

mvtm March 6th, 2005 4:54 PM

.cfm its some kind of macromedia related extension

Sawyer March 6th, 2005 4:58 PM

it's a dreamweaver file. if you open it, your computer's basically screwed. XD

Shikon no Tama March 6th, 2005 4:58 PM

OMFG! I couldn't log for like 10 freaking minutes due to that virus! It's a real virus. Just check Trend Micro-->Virus Updates. Look for trojans and all those. When this all began I had my Panda Antivirus pop up saying it deleted a virus named "Blood Hound" in my IE. Well, I think I have a way to get rid of part of it. Go to Internet Option--> Privacy--> edit it a bit-->Security-->Trusted Sites. It helps. It's the way I got rid of the long part Eli has.

ravenstorture March 6th, 2005 5:03 PM

I'm glad I'm not the only one. Gah it keeps on detecting trojans. Gah this sucks...

Eliana March 6th, 2005 5:04 PM

Exactly...it's only for those who use IE

Shikon no Tama March 6th, 2005 5:05 PM

That's because you gotta edit your Internet Security Options. Put them up to high, check your computer, then go to Trend Micro, Free Scan, scan your comp for viruses, and you can delete it.

MegaDitto March 6th, 2005 5:07 PM

The same thing is happening to me too. This must be a glitch or a hacker like Meca or Quast.

mvtm March 6th, 2005 5:08 PM

IMO whomever sends a trojan , is a lamer not a hacker.
Trojans dont exactly destructs file extensions , they just altered it to an unstable situation of what i know.
ACManga is right about Dreamweaver

I was thinking the same thing,I dont see why people just dont leave us alone.*sigh*

Sawyer March 6th, 2005 5:12 PM

Maca's too stupid to even get a trojan on PC XD

Shikon no Tama March 6th, 2005 5:19 PM

Yeah, I agree. I even remember when Quast said he was a hacker. And who knows, maybe Maca hacked PC for revenge or something. I highly doubt a trojan like "Blood Hound" could do all this. Most trojans that have infected y computer only deleted a file or two or just changed the colour on my computer wallpaper.

Same with me,lol I remember I was using one of Shane's bg's when it did that XD

IE.You mean Internet Explorer that just sucks.I'm using it.

Sawyer March 6th, 2005 5:23 PM

TD, which one was it? the wolverine one? ;.; that was my favorite one... XD

Shikon no Tama March 6th, 2005 5:24 PM

Chances are it's just a hacker. But that would not explain the trojan virus I deleted called "Blood Hound". But if it was deleted, than this should've stopped on me. It may be possible that a hacker hacked PC and created "Blood Hound" to cover his evil tracks.

Same here Metto. It's affecting Windows IE users, which I am. Oh well Nothings happening to my compy and ive scanned, pretty much nothing to worry about IMO. just let the admins fix it ^^

Shikon no Tama March 6th, 2005 5:26 PM

Yep, if you just scanned your computer or deleted the trojan, than it's up to an admin to fix PC's coding. The reason that HTML code is up there, is because I virus or a hacker inbedded that code into PC's forum coding.

Schizophrenic March 6th, 2005 5:27 PM

I had that pop up, and I just closed it without opening it. I never open unknown stuff, I was too smart for another Trojan virus. (I just deleted one a few days ago, man was it annoying.)

No,if it was your Wolverine banner, I would be uberly mad x_X
But it was the LoZ one.

Sawyer March 6th, 2005 5:28 PM

oh, the Link one... okay.. XD that was a while ago, wasn't it?

Shikon no Tama March 6th, 2005 5:29 PM

Well, least we can do now is wait. So far I haven't had any pop ups.
*Pets Panda Antivirus*
Good antivirus, it just blocked "Blood Hound" right now. ^^

MegaDitto March 6th, 2005 6:33 PM

Thank goodness the problem is solved and ended with.Should'nt this be closed now.

MoonlightPoochyena March 6th, 2005 6:44 PM

Whew, I was worried. I got on PC and it kinda crashed on me (I use IE). Then my Microsoft Antispyware detected and deleted that blood hound. Yay, its gone now (for me, I dunno if its for everyone or just the people that deleted it/got through it/whatever). Evil hackers! *slaps*

DarknessMonkey March 6th, 2005 6:52 PM

Yeah It Had Brought That Same Msg. On My Compy Too, & It Would Freeze Everytime I Opened PC, But An Hour Later I Came Back & It Was Fine.

Alex_ March 6th, 2005 7:19 PM

Hmm, I just wish someone an Admin or somebody would explain this to us *sigh* At least its gone ^^

Miyu-chan March 6th, 2005 7:23 PM

So it's gone now! xD I was so worried when I couldn't go on. o.o; Thank God that we've recently changed to firefox. xD

KiraYamato March 6th, 2005 7:23 PM

Well, I had firefox for a while, and then went back to IE because well I didn't enjoy firefox too much then (very early stages) but now because of this I switched back to it and I have to admit the new version is alot nicer. I used IE still when this thing happend on here, but I dont think I got the trojan because I didnt download the file but I'm going to scan just incase.

Schizophrenic March 6th, 2005 7:26 PM

I'm glad to see this place is back up. I have a dream of becoming a hacker to hackers and stop there evil ways. And also hack and destroy all Pokemon hate sites.

Kyogre-chan March 6th, 2005 7:54 PM

Luckily, I ditched Internet Exploder quite a long time ago. *is a proud Opera user* =D

Rukario March 6th, 2005 7:55 PM

we believe it was a systems failure just before a server crash: it 'looks' like out java server was trying to server http requests instead of apache.. but we're not really sure.

I'll post more after we finish investigating exactly what happened.

Andrea-chan March 6th, 2005 8:05 PM

Well looks like IE would fix a few of it's holes. O_o

Stuff like this is why I use FireFox, I found IE just not good like web browsers like FireFox.
*Points to the FireFox link in Steve's sig* it's better then IE, all you should get it. XD

Sawyer March 6th, 2005 8:24 PM

lol... yeah, FF and Safari pwn IE. hopefully FF will destroy IE one day XD

Ryoutarou March 6th, 2005 8:27 PM

*reinstalls FF* That should help a bit XD

Shikon no Tama March 6th, 2005 8:39 PM

Yay! PC is finally back!
*Huggles Eevee's Night Out*
It's finally back to normal. What happened though? Was it a hacker or something?

Kyogre-chan March 6th, 2005 8:56 PM

You people have no taste. Opera pwnz them all. :P

Not really sure, Steve really is about the only member on PC that can say for sure what it was.
So I guess will will just have to wait till he says what it is.

Say whatever you want, you won't see me switching from FireFox. Unless Mozilla comes out with a new better web browser. XD
And I never seen you say what is so good about Opera, you just said it was better and never pointed out stuff. XD

Kyogre-chan March 6th, 2005 10:19 PM

I don't need to provide reasons. It pwnz, end of story, kthxbye. XP

Cool [email protected] March 7th, 2005 1:47 AM

This was bad. *Hugs FF safely*. It's going to mean a big loss for IE users in PC cause after this, I suspect most of them will want to change browsers, Firefox being the most obvious choice.

KoBRe LaiR March 7th, 2005 3:31 AM

I had the same problem here at PC a month ago. I was using both IE and FIrefox but IE was worst.

Imakuni? March 7th, 2005 3:38 AM

Just some clarity...

it is not a dreamweaver file. .cfm means that is is a ColdFusion file, which is a coding language (like php)

A bloodhound is a 'unknown' virus.

In a post made by steve on my forum...

rest assured that it's all fixed now and we are continuing the investigation as to what exactly happened.

Sawyer March 7th, 2005 7:40 AM

Kuni, when it showed up on my desktop, it had the "D" on it, suggesting that if you opened it in DreamWeaver, it would infect your computer.

loony March 7th, 2005 8:54 AM

that why i use firefox-.-not IE i hate that no this is a reason for it:P

lugia65 March 7th, 2005 11:46 AM

Man I got two bloodhounds and a trojan when I tried to come to the site -.- good thing Norton deleted them and scaneed my system ^^ I wish i had firefox becfause I HATE IE but my mom won't let me get it >.>

good thing it seems fixed but I am curious about what happened? was it a hacker?

FaerieEsqueThing March 7th, 2005 1:31 PM

FF wouldn't run it...so I used IE and I got 4 infected files. o.O *hugs FF and McAfee*

Aaron5367 March 7th, 2005 2:12 PM

Sigh, Its still messing me up, MY mozilla stoped working a while ago so I need to boot it up, and scan my computer *blows dust off of mozilla* and... I see X's everywhere...
