hi allergies, how ya doin?

hey its almost the end of april (at least when i am typing this). you know what comes in at full force during april? yup! allergies!

ahhh allergies. the time of year where it is beautiful weather outside and your stuck inside sneezing, coughing, having a sore throat and generally feeling extremely icky. the time where you cant see anything because your eyes have to many tears and you carry around a ball of used tissues that were just freshly stuffed in your nasal regions.

so who else here gets the beautiful seasonal allergies? how do you cope with them? or do you just accept that your gonna feel like crap for the next few months?

My allergies kick in every Spring, and I just accept that I'm gonna feel like crud for the next few months. It's annoying, because my nose is always runny, and I always end up getting nose bleeds. I fear that I might faint at any moment due to massive blood loss, all because of my seasonal allergies.

I get sick year round, and the remedy I take happens to be in the form of allergy medicine (like the generic kind), so I'm going to assume I have some form of allergies. They're consistent throughout the year though as far as I'm concerned, and don't really get too bad at any specific time. They are frequent enough though that I don't write it off as just getting sick.

This is the worst time of year. I prefer winter when everything's dead and it doesn't bother me. grumble grumble. :c

My nose is all runny and bloody, I feel all faint and light-headed, my migraines hit harder and more frequently. Lots of Claritin and Excedrin for the next few months!
I think my desktop also has allergies. I've had my windows open for the breeze, which has let in an awful lot of pollen... now my tower and keyboard are yellow. She needs a deep cleaning and a cover.

I always have troubles this time of year (and in the fall too), but for some reason this year has been especially bad. Not much to do but stock up on the Claritin-D and keep a box of tissues nearby.

Normally as long as I take something before I go to bed I feel okay when I wake up and don't usually have too many issues, but this year even with the Claritin I feel like death whenever I wake up in the morning and have to contend with random sneezing attacks and stuffed up noses and the like during the day. The weather reports have been saying the pollen count has been really high the past few weeks, and I've been feeling it.

Man, mine started a couple of days ago. Blleghh I hate them. My nose runs, my face hurts (No, I didn't get punched. Well at least not in the face. That's a different story. I've been a bad, bad man, Ms. Jackson.)

I don't really cope with them. I just accept the fact that I will be slightly less attractive and very very snotty for the next couple of months.

I recently had an allergic shock, if that counts, haha. Oh, and my nose is runny from time to time, due to Spring-related allergies.

Raine April 21st, 2014 6:16 PM

I don't have any serious allergies, but during the spring time when there's a high concentration of pollen in the air, it irritates my nose >.< Everyone in my family, with the exception of my sister, has a reaction to pollen. Thankfully it's nothing more than just the irritation of the nose, and that I'm not allergic to anything else.

Puddle April 21st, 2014 6:35 PM

I am not allergic to anything!
However, I have a sensitive nose, so my nose gets runny on cold days. That's about it.

Elements1 April 21st, 2014 7:51 PM

I haven't had allergies at all till this spring, and I'm sure it's not a cold because it's lasted 2 weeks. Is that even possible? To "gain" allergies?

Kikaito plush April 22nd, 2014 12:47 AM

I seem to get watery eyes and an runny nose in the Autumn if that is anything.

Limey-chan April 22nd, 2014 2:57 AM

I've never suffered from allergies before, but i'm really susceptible to colds and I get sinusitis at least 2-3 times a year.

Sonata April 22nd, 2014 5:03 AM

I don't have any allergies and I don't really get sick easily. I haven't had a cold even for 2 or 3 years.

My allergies can be pretty rough. I used to take an antihistamine every day, but now I've stopped in order to give my body a chance to build up immunities. However, if I'm outside (in like the woods or something) for an extended period of time (HA!), I will find myself getting really itchy and I tend to get a little splotchy. ):

As far as every day allergies, mine aren't that bad anymore. I just know I'm not really good around smoke.

Aaaaaaaaand, no food allergies. n_n;

Manitee April 23rd, 2014 12:56 AM

I don't have seasonal allergies, everybody else in my family does, though. I'm pretty sure I have it much worse though. I have an allergic reaction to the wind. It sprung up on Sunday, actually.
