Jeans
What kind of style do you go for when you're buying a new pair of jeans? What kind of fit? Where do they rest on your waist? What kind of fly - button or zipper? What rinse do you generally go for?
Also, how many pair of jeans do you have? |
As I mentioned in the style thread, I go for cheap :P
In terms of what style I like in my jeans, just kinda plain, basic navy blue jeans are what I go for. Slim fit - i'm a small guy so regular jeans look a little baggy on me. I wear them waist high and buttons/zippers doesn't matter to me much. As for how many pairs I have, i'd guesstimate at around 10? |
I have about five - six pairs of jeans or so; wear one each weekday, and take them all to the laundry every weekend. :] Three of them are navy blue, one's gray, and one's black/dark gray. All my jeans are slim; don't really like wearing big ones. I mean, they are comfortable, but I just don't think that jeans are meant for comfort or anything of the like; they're more about your appearance.
|
Hmm, I like regular jeans. Plain ones, like black or navy blue. Don't really like extravagant jeans with plenty of colors. Also they shouldn't be too skinny or I feel like my ***** are gonna explode. I own about 5 pairs I think.
|
I want to say I own about 6 or 7 pairs of jeans. One is grey and tight on me, one are blue bell bottom jeans, and the rest are all black—some skintight, some not. What I go for in jeans involves dark grey (close to but not black) with either large pockets or some special design. Zippers are a must at all times, and my only pair of "blue" jeans are the bellbottom ones I mentioned… because they're just awesome. :3
|
Went ahead and counted, and I own five, which is actually less than I thought. They're all skinny jeans, cause skinny feels really snug ;3 They're also all different monotone colors (black, chalk black, grey, blue, and beige), and they all have buttons instead of zippers lol.

How many pair of jeans do you have?
I have a whole 2 pairs of jeans. :D As you can see, I don't wear them often. I find jeans/shorts restrictive and skirts freeing. The choice is obvious, when weather permits. What kind of style do you go for when you're buying a new pair of jeans? What kind of fit? Always bootcut. That I wear with my sneakers, not my boots. I had skinny jeans or straight legs or some such crap for my winter boots, but I gave them to my mom. I just don't like tight clothing if it's a rough material. Like denim. Besides. I'm tiny enough. No reason to accentuate that. What kind of fly - button or zipper? Mine seem to have two buttons with the zipper. So that, I guess. What rinse do you generally go for? Both are a very dark blue, almost black, which would be my preference. I don't like brightly colored pants, I like black and dark blues when it comes to jeans. Where do they rest on your waist? Waist? I wear them at my hips. I have to stick with low-rise because my waist is too tiny for even a size 0 to sit that high comfortably .-. there's always way too much excess denim and that's uncomfortable. |
I think I have about 3 pairs of jeans. I like a darker blue because I think it looks nicer. I'm not to picky about the zipper. I really prefer boot cut but I absolutely can not wear skinny jeans because they're just way too tight and annoying. I don't like jeans that rest low on my waist. I like them further up or else they feel like they're falling off.
|
I really like old navy jeans that are tighter than usual but not skinny jeans. I do not look good in skinny jeans, I think, haha. I prefer a button on top and a zipper fly, I don't know just makes it easier. :D I probably have about 3-4 pairs, I need to get more but they're kind of expensive. u_u I prefer darker jeans, but lighter ones are OK too. I let them rest on my hips. :3
|
I have maybe 3 pairs 2 pairs now that my last ones ripped right up the crotch. Farewell old friends, it's been a great 6 years of use. I like to wear either skinny or cheap. Whatever fits me best at the time.
|
I prefer dresses and skirts to jeans but when I'm doing things like bicycling or climbing trees and stuff which I do still do often... I do have to wear jeans.
I've climbed trees in dresses before yes but only if I'm sure theres no one to look up them |
I've gone for skinny jeans in the past and whilst they usually suit me pretty well, the one big flaw is that they tear too easily. It's funny because I very rarely fall over when I'm smashed, but if I'm wearing skinny jeans it's guaranteed to happen.
I'd go for a slim fitting, zipper always, buttons are awful and fiddly and just annoying. Any sort of rinse is fine as long as it's not the commonly seen sandblasting / stonewashing abuse. I prefer my colours either really dark or really light, anywhere in between is just too standard... it cries out generic 40 year old dad. Sorry to anybody who likes them I've only actually got two pairs of jeans atm, one black pair which are really baggy and I hate them. One pair which is nice but still annoying because they're actually girl's jeans with a huge waist on them so I have to wear a belt which is annoying to me. I've been meaning to get a nice pair of levi's or something for the longest time, but never got round to it. Chinos are more comfy anyway. |
I hate the feel of denim. Really, how can anyone wear such a rough fabric on any part of themselves?

I used to really hate jeans as a kids, but now I love them. I have 7 or 8 pairs I think. Mostly slim straight and tapered. I have only one pair of skinny jeans. I like my jeans being slim, but not too tight and some pairs of skinny jeans are way too tight in my opinion. But I really like the color of the ones I bought so I couldn't resist. I have two pairs of navy/dark demin blue (one slim straight and one tapered) , two black , one that's colored a blue-ish grey tapered fit, and the skinny jeans are apparently eggplant, but they look more maroon or burgundy to me lol. |
I prefer skinny jeans, because they're so comfortable! I have 4 pairs of them, in 3 colors: Black, 2 Dark blue with a black wash, and grey. I have like 5 pairs of regular 'ol blue jeans, and I don't like them that much.
I prefer most things I wear to red, black, white, or dark grey. I don't really like any other colors for anything. Except for purple, I like purple. I will not wear purple jeans though, that's a bit..... stereotyped. I'm not gay, but people will get that idea I wear them once, and at my school, that ♥♥♥♥ never goes away. |
I used to love wearing jeans during high school, but then I grew out of that phase, and basically only wear leggings these days; have no idea how many pairs I actually have stuffed in my closet \: Though because of the weight loss, I feel more comfortable wearing them. Generally I like wearing skinny jeans, and the most recent pairs I've worn are of that style, but I would like a pair of flared jeans which can be hard to find because of my height ;-; Most of the time I like wearing my pants low like a guy; pyjamas at home especially XD My mom often has to tell me to pull up my pants, heh. But I try to find jeans that won't threaten to show my butt crack meanwhile not feeling too constricted around the waist area.
|
As a thin person, only skinny jeans fit me. They're different colours, and I probably own around 6+ pairs. I don't feel like going to my wardrobe just to count them all. {XD}
|
I feel like wearing jeans is for special occasion these days. Either I'm at work, where I wear slacks, or I'm at home, where I wear PJs. It's rare for me to actually leave the house... how sad is that? :p
I actually inherited a ton of jeans and other pants a few years back, so I haven't bought any in years. I generally go for what's comfortable and affordable. Usually boot cut, preferably with a low waist, though the jeans I have now all sit up higher on my waist. Don't care about colors and wash. I don't own any skinny jeans. Let's see... I have 3 pairs I actually wear. Again, I have a ton more, but they're all too big for me. They're sitting in the hall closet until I get around to washing them and donating them somewhere. I think there a few of them in my closet that I pulled out because they fit, but I haven't washed them. Also, 3 pairs is enough for someone who doesn't usually wear jeans. |
I'm not the hugest fan of jeans tbh. I have about five pair that I really like. I prefer darker washes, because I think they look better with most of my shirts.
..I did recently clean out my closet, and got rid of a bunch of jeans that are too big. I definitely had a skinny jean phase at one point (with green, maroon, purple, grey, and black....) I'm definitely more of a shorts kind of guy. Khaki, white, weird variations of plaid, et cetera. They're just so..liberating! n_n; |
I don't normally wear jeans. I wear capris that are kind of LIKE jeans, so I guess that counts? I'm on the heavy side too, and it's hard to really find clothes that fit me properly. I'm not that heavy, but I am overweight.
|
I have like 7 pairs of jeans. I mostly use slim fit and a couple of skinny jeans. Jeans are what I wear the most too. I like the blue ones a lot, but I also have a red and a grayish green pair.
|
Denim is like my favorite thing in the world.
I like slim fitting jeans that flatter my figure (Levi's 514's do a good job). Most of my current ones are dark washes (namely indigo) since that's what's "in" right now. But I also have pairs in red, olive, white, and a few in black (one's faded, one's ripped, one doesn't fit anymore... I need to clean out my closet). Basically if it fits well, goes with part of my wardrobe, and is relatively inexpensive I'm all about it. Bonus points if it's selvage or raw denim. If I find anything like that I'll snatch it off the rack faster than you can blink. |
I don't like wearing skinny jeans because I don't really have the legs for them and I think I'd find them uncomfortable even if I did. I have two pairs of jeans, both straight leg. I'm wearing my blue pair now but I don't wear my black ones very often because I learned a very important life lesson while wearing them one time: mould remover contains bleach.

I'm not much of a jean fan anyways so I rarely wear them. They just aren't comfy!
When I do though, I like the darker jeans. They usually sit at my hips and I like the straight cut jeans. I used to like bootcut but I found that the bottoms were huge and got in the way. They're still okay though. Skinny jeans are decent too. I'm pretty slim so wearing baggy jeans in any way looks weird on me. Ironically, they are the ones that are more comfy. xD So it's a constant war between comfort and style. As far as jeans are concerned, they aren't that comfy at all so I go with style. I have about five in my closet I think. Maybe a little more. I get a lot of clothes because I haven't grown or gained weight since I started high school six years ago so I usually wear out my clothes now which is a lot better. xD I'm not a fan of the look of the lighter blue jeans for some reason and I think that ripped jeans look pretty bad too. Jeggings are a lot more comfy than regular jeans though ^-^b |
