Mt. Pyre
This area was a major area for the plot. It should be an area for event Pokemon, (Like Darkrai, for example) but I want them to have a bit more story. Like it's the main place where the orbs were kept, and that is like the main story. (This is more of an Emerald point of view, but just aswell, because there was basically nothing here in the R/S.) What do you guys think?
|
They should really add the Jade Orb! It was so mystical how Kyogre and Groudon fought each other and the Orbs calmed them, but perhaps the Jade Orb would 'call down' Rayquaza to bring peace? Anyway, the whole idea of a resting spot for Pokémon being a guarding spot for the two vital items needed to calm Kyogre and Groudon is cool.
It's good to see that Mt. Pyre has both exterior and interior, and that the interior is actually a neat puzzle to get both the incenses, but I think Rock Climb should have a role here, and this mountain should appear taller. Much taller. |
I hope that they make the interior a bit more of a puzzle. An event Pokemon being there would be...just plain weird. Like, what would it be? A shiny Dusclops that knows Draco Meteor?
The inside of it was my favorite, though. The chance to get Shadow Ball, Sea Incense and Lax Incense, and all of the trainers were fun to battle and gave great EXP. I do hope they make the mountain a little extra important. Like, something else other than JUST the orbs (or Magma Coin). Maybe even make a small little area where E4 Phoebe lives and you can chat with her there after you beat the E4? |

I really enjoyed its role in Emerald so I don't hope for anything new except maybe that the Jade Orb was hidden by Phoebe(?) so aqua/magma couldn't get it and you are tasked to find it later |
I love Mt. Pyre; it reminds me a lot of Lavender Town due to its eerie feel. In ORAS, I think it would be sweet if they'd include some secret path here, leading you to some legendary like Giratina. Another thing I'd like to see here is a more range of wild Pokémon, specifically ghosts. Lots of new ghost-types have been introduced since generation three, and what better way to make them available in these games than having these Pokémon roam Mt. Pyre? Story-wise, I don't know what could happen... personally, though, I think it'd be really nice if they had used this place to have Rayquaza reveal its secondary form, if they do decide to give it one? Rayquaza's more related to Sky Pillar than anything, but I don't know; I just can't think of anything better, haha.

Mt. Pyre was a pretty cool area, but there's not much to add. They could make it a grounds for Team Magma to meet in, or maybe have some type of minor legendary pokemon, but I doubt they would convert it to something like that. However, the eerie vibe it gave off fit the story line perfectly, and I imagine it's going to look even better in 3D come ORAS' release.

I hope Mt. Pyre would be creepily-enhanced this time around. I actually like the haze effect as you go up higher so pretty excited. I noticed checking the interior of Mt. Pyre isnt that exciting as the outside so I hope that would be fixed! :33

The orbs will be kept there once again maybe they'll build a temple on top and add the jade orb this will make the storyline even juicier
|
This is one of the many areas I'm looking forward to seeing in 3D. I loved the original Mt. Pyre with its creepy ambiance.
|
I hope we see some sort of Flashbacks to the past that put more depth into the Red and Blue Orbs (Maybe even the Jade Orb?).
|
I always used to think that a third orb was there as there's 3 pedastals in a triangle. So them adding the Jade orb would be easy.
I see them expanding the story there to include some information on the new Groudon and Kyogre. |
