Who will be the protagonists? May and Brandon. Maybe Red
What role will Wally play? Still a useless trainer but stronger
What roles do you think Juan, Wallace, and Steven will fill? Juan will be the Juan. Wallace will be the Gym Leader and Steven will be the Champion
Will there be any other League-related changes? Nope just a remake like they did in HG/SS
Will Scott make a return? If so, what as? The Battle Frontier or maybe he will have you be a pirate or something.
What will Rayquaza's role in the story be? Who's that? Jk Um He will be in it but no important role. Just waiting in that tower like before
Assume Kyogre and Groudon receive Mega Evolutions. What do you think
— their types / abilities / signature moves will be? Kyogre will be a Water/Grass/Dragon and Groudon will be a Ice/Fire
— their roles in the games will be? Same thing like in Ruby and Sapphire
— of their Megastones being the Red/Blue Orbs? Or will they be something else?
What will the Version Exclusive Pokemon be? Certain Pokemon and certain items and cities
Will Generation IV - VI Pokemon be available in the wild? Of course
— If so, what Pokemon will be included/excluded? Included: Bidoof
What new Mega Evolutions will be introduced? Sceptile, Magikarp, and Bidoof

Who will be the protagonists? May and Brendan or Max.

What role will Wally play? I believe Wally will be the champion in this game.

What roles do you think Juan, Wallace, and Steven will fill? All will be Battle Frontier Brains

Will there be any other League-related changes? A completely new elite four im thinking fairy type will be included

Will Scott make a return? If so, what as? Yes he will give you the news of a new facility no longer the battle frontier but a place like battle frontier but with more brains.

What will Rayquaza's role in the story be? I believe Rayquaza will become a the pokemon to stop the two as neither one will be able to beat the other in battle because of their new abilities

Assume Kyogre and Groudon receive Mega Evolutions. What do you think? Alpha Stone and Omega Stone

— their types / abilities / signature moves will be? Kyogre will be Water Psychic with a whole new ability where fire ground types are immunities. Groudon will be fire ground type who will be immune to water psychic types.

— their roles in the games will be? Groudon is out to expand land and make the sky land while kyogre will be expanding sea into the sky.

— of their Megastones being the Red/Blue Orbs? Or will they be something else? No I believe Alpha and Omega Stones
What will the Version Exclusive Pokemon be? I say Metagross Salamence to balance things out

Will Generation IV - VI Pokemon be available in the wild? Heading to an old region you have to bring the new gen 6 pokemon

— If so, what Pokemon will be included/excluded? Good question I have to say Goodra will be included, the starters are gifts, and the fairy types.

What new Mega Evolutions will be introduced? Metagross, Salamence, Flygon, Wailord, and all the starters.

Where will the stones for the new Mega Evolutions be hidden? I say u find the alpha stone underwater somewhere and the omega stone somewhere in a mountainous area. And the rest will be available in mt pyre the elders will have them.

New areas to be introduced? I say a more bigger mt pyre and there will be another region added. I say after beating the champion there will be access to the johto or sinnoh region.

Ideas for post-game content? More gym battles in other regions and more than 7 battle frontier brains.

1)Who will be the protagonists?

Well , Its a complete remake So we can hope for redesigned Brenden & May to come back as protagonists . But HGSS had Lyra So there is chance that a new protagonist might be introduced in place of May or Brenden . I bet we can customize them too.
Also , We has 3 choice for the Male character & Female character.
Therefore , I believe there will be 3 different Brenden & 3 different May .
For example : Normal Brenden , Blond Brenden and tanned Brenden .
Same way , Normal may , Blond May & tanned May.

2)What role will Wally play?

Well , since its a remake , He will probably play his previous role . However I can see him having an expended role This time.
May be, He help the Player to fight Team Aqua & Team Magma as a Tag partner like Sliver.
We might see him at Battle frontier ! Also may be we will see him make up with his parent after running away from home

3)What roles do you think Juan, Wallace, and Steven will fill?

Well , They should assume their former position during original Ruby & Sapphire ! But the remake does not need to follow the original . Also Wallace going back as a Gym-leader after being introduce as a champion is bugging me.
I want Wallace to be the champion while Juan is a 8th Gym-leader.
And Steven as a stone collector who's interested in Mega-stone and searching for it . He give the Player a Mega stone. I believe he will have a Excadrill.
However we shouldn't ignore the idea of new champion like Norman Or a 17 year old Boy. Wallace could quit to focus more on Pokemon contest.
Plot Twist: ORAS might pull the same trick RBG & BW game did ! The Player reach Steven and beat him But it turn out that he already lose to Wallace So the player has to battle Wallace for the champion's title.
Or Steven might be champion at Omaga Ruby while Wallace might become champion in Alpha Sapphire.
4)Will there be any other League-related changes?

Well , I'm wishing Norman to be one of the E4 member specializing in Normal type . So the Pokemon League building & Battleground might change.
Also E4 member & Champion's team will change with them having gen IV , V & VI Pokemon.
If Steven is a champion them he will have a Mega Metagross Or any other steel type megevoltion . (Off course he will process mega evolution without being the champion)
If Wallace is the champion then he probably have mega Milotic Or any other Water type Megevolution. His team as a champion sucks so this time he will a real champion team.
Drake will probably have a Dragalge
I also believe this time we will get more insight about Hoenn E4 member . We don't know much about them . Also we might find more about Flannary's Grandfather.

5)Will Scott make a return? If so, what as?

HGSS has Battle frontier So its stupid to think that ORAS won't have Battle frontier . So If ORAS has Battle frontier that Scott will appear to introduce the player to the Battle frontier.

6)What will Rayquaza's role in the story be?

Probably helping to calm down Kyogre & Groudon. But again , Omaga Rudy & Alpha Sapphire each probably will have different set of story like Rudy & Sapphire So I'm doubtful about Rayquaza playing any role here.
Player probably get to catch Rayquaza same way Calam/Serena can catch Zygarde

7)Assume Kyogre and Groudon receive Mega Evolutions. What do you think
— their types / abilities / signature moves will be?
— their roles in the games will be?

— of their Megastones being the Red/Blue Orbs? Or will they be something else?

We don't know Kyogre Or Groudon receive mega form or not , It might just be a new form.
If we assume it a mega form then Groudon probably be part fire type . As for Kyogre , Water/Flying suit it just fine .
As for their signature move , I think they might have a brand new signature move .
However, They already has mega ability so if they lose them upon megevolving then they should have an ability equally Or stronger as then their previous ability .
Red ord or Blue ord are use to simply summon Groudon & Kyogre . I don't think those orb suppose to be Mega-stone.

8)What will the Version Exclusive Pokemon be?

Probably Latios and Latias , Plusle & Minun , Kyogre & Groudon

9)Will Generation IV - VI Pokemon be available in the wild?

— If so, what Pokemon will be included/excluded?

May be but not to many.
New pokemon might get unlock after becoming a champion.
Well , I really can't say for sure .

10) What new Mega Evolutions will be introduced?

Latios and Latias , Sceptile , Blaziken, Swampert, Milotic , Metagross ,Salamence , Camerupt, Walrein , Flygon, Shiftry , Glalie Exploud ,Armaldo , Crawdaunt , Altaria , Dusknoir, Deoxys , Mega Blaziken Alpha .
Jotho Starter , Sinnoh starter , Unova starter ,

11)Where will the stones for the new Mega Evolutions be hidden?

Granite cave ,Abandoned ship , Meteor falls , MT chimney ,MY Pyre , Mossdeep town etc

12)New areas to be introduced?

Well There might be a new area but we have to wait until ORAS to release to see it.

13)Ideas for post-game content?

Battle Frontier
Catching new legendary Pokemon in a unlocked area.
New Contest
There probably a place to have rematch against gym-leader & other NPC like Battle cafe.
May be , Looker might appear to help the player and have a post game arc. we might find out how his pokemon died.
We will also see Team Aqua & Magma with new outfit.

Mew May 11th, 2014 1:31 PM

Who will be the protagonists?
Brendan and May, of course.
What role will Wally play?
Similar to Emerald.
What roles do you think Juan, Wallace, and Steven will fill?
Simalar to RS.
Will there be any other League-related changes?
Doubt it.
Will Scott make a return? If so, what as?
I don't know.
What will Rayquaza's role in the story be?
Same as RS.
Assume Kyogre and Groudon receive Mega Evolutions. What do you think
— their types / abilities / signature moves will be?
— their roles in the games will be?
— of their Megastones being the Red/Blue Orbs? Or will they be something else?
What will the Version Exclusive Pokemon be?
Same as RS. If newer gen Pokés are in, it will be in order (ex. D will be in OR, Pe will be in AS)
Will Generation IV - VI Pokemon be available in the wild? Yep.
— If so, what Pokemon will be included/excluded?
No starters or mascots, not too many of them.
What new Mega Evolutions will be introduced?
[email protected], the other starters, possibly main trio.
Where will the stones for the new Mega Evolutions be hidden?
They'll be holding them, (the ones I listed are given or legendaries)
New areas to be introduced?
Nah. Maybe a small island or something to catch newer gen Pokémon?
Ideas for post-game content?
Mentioned island, friend safari, legendaries

Nillemi May 11th, 2014 1:50 PM

Who will be the protagonists?

Likely May and Brandon, I'm willing to bet there will be some degree of customization but not as much as in X and Y because they'll want to keep some aspects of their look.

What role will Wally play?

He will probably remain mostly the same, the only major difference I can foresee is When it comes time to obtain your mega ring where he will likely play a similar role as Serena did in X and Y. My guess is that he'll obtain his mega ring either at the same time as you or near the end of the game when he can use it to Mega evolve his Gardevoir.

What roles do you think Juan, Wallace, and Steven will fill?

Wallace will still be the Gym Leader while Steven will still be the Champion most likely, It's gonna be a remake so they wont change that much. Juan on the other hand, I think he'll be the Mega evolution master like Gurkinn was in X and Y. He seems to me like the very formal type of man who would handle this.

Will there be any other League-related changes?

Yes! Teams will almost certainly be switched up, Especially Phoebe's and Glacia's teams. There is no reason for Phoebe to not have a Duskinor on her team and with more ghost types available to choose from, I'd say one of her Banettes will likely be swapped out as well. Glacia's set up is even worse, Two Sealeos AND to Glalies, Not to mention she already has a Walrein. She could really use a Weavile or Lapras on her team, Keep one of the Sealeos and Glalies and toss the other. Sydney's team is fine I don't anticipate changes when it comes to his team. Drakes team will likely follow his Emerald team set up, Other than that his team is fine as well.

Aesthetically The challenge rooms will likely be changed up a bit, I'm personally looking forward to the Ice room. Finally I don't imagine there being many changes to Ever Grande City, But I hope there isn't, That place would look wonderful with updated graphics.

Will Scott make a return? If so, what as?
Yes I think Scott will return, My guess is he will still be the person who introduces you to the battle frontier.

What will Rayquaza's role in the story be?

Likely the same as it was in RSE, Why would they change it too much if they're doing a Remake?

Assume Kyogre and Groudon receive Mega Evolutions. What do you think
— their types / abilities / signature moves will be?

Groudon I could see becoming Ground/Fire while Kyogre would be either Water Ice or Water/Dragon. Their Abilities will likely be the same as it's what they're known for. If they did change it however, Solar power for Groudon and Swift Swim for Kyogre, It' very fitting for them and since their weather is out they could benefit off of it immediately, It will likely remain the same Drought and Drizzle though.

— their roles in the games will be?

Just as in RSE, They'll be the main tools used by Team Aqua and Magma. I really don't think they'll change the main story too much.

— of their Megastones being the Red/Blue Orbs? Or will they be something else?
Their Mega Stones will be the Red/Blue orb, it makes too much sense. Colorful orb shaped objects used to awaken the power of certain Pokemon? It's just too easy too pass up. After a Discussion with Juan or whoever the Mega Evolution Guru is in this game you'll discover that it's Actually Groudonite/Kyogreite.

What will the Version Exclusive Pokemon be?

Seviper and Zangoose will Definitely still be exclusive, Lunatone and Solrock will likely be exclusive along with Lotad and Seedot as well. Mawile and Sableye however? I'm on the fence about them. Mawile recieved too many changes in X and Y to remain exclusive to ruby and it might be one of the few Fairy type Pokemon you could get in the game. I personally think they'll lose their exclusive status.

Oh, And of course Groudon and Kyogre will be exclusive, Along with their mega stones if they get a mega evolution.

Will Generation IV - VI Pokemon be available in the wild?
— If so, what Pokemon will be included/excluded?

During the main story? Likely not, I can see us being able to obtain some of the Trade items for Duskinor, Porygon z, Electivire and Pokemon like that but as for the main story routes that will be about it.

As for how you get IV-VI Gen pokemon, That will likely be through items like the Poke Radar or post game locations like the cave on the Battle Frontier island or the Friend Safari. (Yes, I predict the return of the Friend Safari.)

What new Mega Evolutions will be introduced?
Mega Airplane Ladi-Twins will definetly be released through this game. I would be willing to bet Swampert and Sceptile will get one as well, Its just too odd for one starter to have a mega while the other two don't, Especially when they currently have starter status.
While I dont Really think too many of the following would happen, I would love to see;
Mega Wailord
Mega Flygon (This is probably the most likely of the list.)
Mega Tropius
Mega Altaria

Where will the stones for the new Mega Evolutions be hidden?

Mega Wailord would be underwater somewhere in the vast ocean of 3rd Gen, Or Shoal Cave.
Mega flygon would certainly be in the Desert, Possiably in the Sand Castle Mirage Tower.
Mega Tropius would be rather tricky, Although Ever Grande City would be a cool place to put it.
Mega Altaria would be in Meteor Falls.
The Mega starter stone will likely just be given to you.

Mega Groudon/Kyogre would be the Red/Blue orb that would be identified as the Mega stones after you catch them.

And the Mega Ladi-Twins? Mirage Islands.

New areas to be introduced?

This game will need something like the Tower of Mastery. After the Gigantic deal they made about inheriting a Mega Ring in Pokemon X and Y they can't have you just obtain it, That would be very inconsistent. They'll also need a location for the Friend safari area, Maybe they can put it on the battle frontier island.

Ideas for post-game content?

R/S/E in my opinion has the most Post-Game content of all the generations of Pokemon. For me to be happy, all they would have to add is the battle frontier, The Battle Pyramid was so much fun and I would love to do it again with current generation mechanics.

I hope pokemon Contests make a proper return, I know once you figured out what you were doing it was incredibly easy but I still enjoyed them. I was disappointed to see what they did with them in 4th generation and I HATED them in 5th gen. I really hope they remain the same.

Friend safari I believe will make a return as well as the Battle Institute.

And of course, probably the most hyped part of Gen 3 remakes, Secret bases. Hours will be spent on this for me.

I'm sure you can! If you end up winning then you could always decline, you won't be forced to take the prize since I'm sure they can always pick another winner. Although if you just want to speculate in general almost all the threads in this forum are about speculation. :)

Who will be the protagonists?
I don't see them changing the protagonists since the games are remakes and not sequels.

What role will Wally play?
It seemed like Wally had a lot of potential that he didn't get to fully explore in RSE. He appeared several times, and had a nice side story, but other than that he wasn't involved that much at halfway through the game. I think

What roles do you think Juan, Wallace, and Steven will fill?
Since these games were stated to be "Ruby and Sapphire remakes" instead of "Generation 3" or "RSE remakes" I think that Wallace and Steven will take the roles of 8th Gym Leader and Champion, respectively. I would say double battle, however, we already have a double battle at the Mossdeep Gym and it would be rare to have 2 double-battle gyms in Hoenn and none anywhere else. I doubt that they will take Juan out of the game completely since he was pretty important in Emerald, so I suspect he will show up in Sootopolis City and I think we will be able to battle him & Wallace as a team at least once like we did with Flint & Volkner in DPPt.

Will there be any other League-related changes?
I suspect that the Champion will be given a Mega Evolution Pokemon - Steven will get Aggron and if they end up going with Wallace (which I suspect they won't) then he will get Gyarados, or a new Mega Milotic. I would say that the E4 would also get Megas, but in Kalos - the region of Mega Evolution - only the Champion had one.

Will Scott make a return? If so, what as?
Yes, since I strongly suspect that the Frontier will be making its return, I see no reason why - to many fans' dismay as I learned in this forum - Scott wouldn't. I imagine that he will play the same or less of a role than he did before, but I doubt he will do anything more.

What will Rayquaza's role in the story be?
Even though these are Ruby/Sapphire remakes, I think they will follow in HGSS's footsteps and incorporate more of Emerald's story. While whichever version you pick will follow a specific legendary more closely (or why else would there be 2 if they were just photocopies of Emerald?), I think that the two legends will face off in Sootopolis again and we will have to go get him.

Assume Kyogre and Groudon receive Mega Evolutions.
Mega Kyogre
Water/Dragon
Ability: Rainstorm (permanent Drizzle)
Move: Tsunami (a more powerful version of Surf) 8D

Mega Groudon
Ground/Fire
Ability: Firestorm (permanent Drought)
Move: Epicenter (a more powerful version of Earthquake)(I suck at naming sorry)

Honestly, their abilities don't seem like they need changing, since the whole idea around these two is that they can change the weather. I would be hesitant to make Mega Kyogre half Dragon, but since they got kind of nerfed it seems plausible now. I can see the Red/Blue Orbs because they don't really do a whole lot in the original other than wake up the legendary (and what legendary just has a stone that causes it to wake up?), so there must be some other connection between the Orbs and the legends. Maybe they are also just Mega Stones, but since, even in the Pokemon world Mega-Evos are a relatively new concept, they were just called Orbs since their true names were unknown.

What will the Version Exclusive Pokemon be?
Ruby- Seedot, Mawile, Zangoose, Solrock, Groudon, Latios, Cherubi, Spritzee
Sapphire- Lotad, Sableye, Seviper, Lunatone, Kyogre, Latias, Kricketot, Swirlix
Honestly there are so many Pokemon, and they seem to be somewhat random each generation, so I think that's the best I got lol.

Will Generation IV - VI Pokemon be available in the wild?
Starters will obviously be excluded, but I think that they will include all the Pokemon that weren't obtainable in Kalos so that players will be able to catch all the Pokemon without transferring them from a previous generation. So it will be these evolutionary lines: Rattata, Meowth, Koffing, Porygon, Misdreavus, Unown, Stantler, Kricketot, Cherubi, Buneary, Glameow, Finneon, Cottonee, Darumaka, Yamask, Frilish, Tynamo, Elgyem. And obviously Slakoth, Baltoy, Feebas, Castform.

What new Mega Evolutions will be introduced?
Mega Sceptile, Mega Swampert, Mega Milotic, Mega Groudon, Mega Kyogre, Mega Rayquaza. Also, Mega Plusle and Mega Minun because of the trademarked names. I don't think that they will include a ton more, since they even held off creating a ton in XY, but other than those we might see Mega Breloom, Mega Kecleon, Mega Mightyena.

Where will the stones for the new Mega Evolutions be hidden?
I imagine the old couple on Mt. Pyre will have or know the locations of the legendary Mega Stones (if they're not the Red/Blue orbs), and I can see an event with Steven happening with Mega [email protected] (technically not 'new' but I imagine that since they haven't even announced their existence officially they will be connected to ORAS somehow). The stones for Sceptile+Swampert will be distributed throughout an event like Blaziken's was, and the others will be found randomly throughout Hoenn. I don't see any specific locations in mind.

New areas to be introduced?
I think that we will be able to explore the islands that are on the map. I had assumed that they were the event-only islands, but the events weren't very accessible so this time around I think that they will be. I can also see us going to the Sevii Islands since they are still a big part of the games and we haven't seen them since FRLG (which I don't think they will be remaking for other reasons), although that might be kind of a long shot. I also really think Manaphy will make an appearance in an undersea cave somewhere in the ocean, but other than that or the random route change I don't think that they will add anything else significant.

Ideas for post-game content?
Definitely the Battle Frontier's return. It was really popular and well done in Emerald, and honestly it wouldn't be very smart to NOT bring it back. Honestly, Pokemon hasn't done a very good job with postgame lately, and I imagine if they put the BF in, they'll be like, "Alright, good enough!"

Vicktor Black May 11th, 2014 2:53 PM

Even though I more than likely won't win its still fun to speculate on things for just the suspense aloneof what is to come in the new games :)

Who will be the protagonists?

May and brendan but with new outfits for them like perhaps having a summer theme to their clothing

What role will Wally play?

Wally were do I start okay, He will be a gym leader that is also someone that plays a prominent role in getting mega evolutions

What roles do you think Juan, Wallace, and Steven will fill?
I think Steven would be like cynthia as he travels the world and can be avaliable to battle as a post game event, and Wallace will be the pokemon champion but will be a companion through your journey, Juan will have become a traveller and may need some motivation to become a gym leader again.

Will there be any other League-related changes?

Some of the league pokemon may change to fit the new pokemon introduced in gen 6 and the champion may also be a different person altogether or the chmpion battle wont be just one but two people consisting off your rivals may/bredan and wally or a inverted battle with wallace

Will Scott make a return? If so, what as?

I think Scott would still be finding trainers for the battle frontier but also give you items for certain events in-game were you need an item to proceed and perhaps have a secret area within battle frontier were he is the true final frontier brain.

What will Rayquaza's role in the story be?

In emerald he was to stop kyogre and groudon from fighting in sootopolis but in the upcoming games rayquaza may have to band together with kyogre and groundon to defeat the enemy

Assume Kyogre and Groudon receive Mega Evolutions. What do you think
— their types / abilities / signature moves will be?

Groundon would be fire/ground with the same ability drought and kyogre would be water/electric or water/dragon while still keeping the drizzle ability and their signature moves might be something like an equivalent type hyper beam.

their roles in the games will be?
One is awakened but it doesn't get away but is captured instead thus having to awaken the other legendary and battle the enemy to release the legendary in their grasp

of their Megastones being the Red/Blue Orbs? Or will they be something else?
Perhaps the red and blue orbs themselves won't become megastones for them but they may be needed to acquire said stones

What will the Version Exclusive Pokemon be?
Like in regular ruby and sapphire it would be seviper and zangoose along with any of the new pokemon beyond 3rd gen but off in their own piece of the world to later be unlocked and those pokemon would be the honedge line, the fletchling line, litleo line for Omega Ruby and the skiddo line, inkay line, and the phantump line would be for Alpha Sapphire

Will Generation IV - VI Pokemon be available in the wild?
yes like in firered the 2nd and 3rd gen were included so it would seem that the 4th 5th and 6th gen would be included as well

If so, what Pokemon will be included/excluded?
most 6th gen pokemon would be included except for a few pokemon like hawlucha and maybe dedenne

What new Mega Evolutions will be introduced?
latios and latias also groundon and kyogre and maybe a mega evo for rayquaza
Where will the stones for the new Mega Evolutions be hidden?
the stones for latios and latias will be hidden on their islands while the stones for the legandaries would be hidden within the red and blue orbs themselves and the one for rayquaza may be hidden in an unlockable area and may be part of a sidequest
New areas to be introduced?

within the map there were a few islands left just out of reach perhaps these areas will be accessible when you beat the game and then their is the door that is blocked off in a house in moosdeep that may lead to a new world altogether where fairy types reside or it would lead to under the space station and you will enter a rocket to the moon

Ideas for post-game content?
later gen pokemon will be ready for catching in normal areas and a sidequest to gather the fossil pokemon and also new quests to unlock and maybe a second story in game.

Twiztedreamz May 11th, 2014 2:58 PM

Who will be the protagonists?
Brendan and may
What role will Wally play?
Travelling to be in the e4
What roles do you think Juan, Wallace, and Steven will fill?
Juan sootopolis gym leader, Wallace Champion , Steven will be the inventor of mega stones ( stones were already his thing, his dad was an inventor)
Will there be any other League-related changes?
Wally will join as a psychic trainer
Will Scott make a return? If so, what as?
He'll introduce the battle frontier
What will Rayquaza's role in the story be?
He will stop groudon and kyogre
Assume Kyogre and Groudon receive Mega Evolutions. What do you think
— their types / abilities / signature moves will be?
Groudon , Ground Fire , sandstream , more powerful version of earthquake (120 power)
Kyogre , water , drizzle , more powerful version of surf (however not as a HM) (120 power)
— their roles in the games will be?
Rampaging sootopolis
— of their Megastones being the Red/Blue Orbs? Or will they be something else?
Kyogreite and Groudonite
What will the Version Exclusive Pokemon be?
Omega ruby - zangoose , minum , seedot
Alpha sapphire - seviper plusle, lotad
Will Generation IV - VI Pokemon be available in the wild?
After you get the national dex yes
— If so, what Pokemon will be included/excluded?
None
What new Mega Evolutions will be introduced?
Zangoose and Seviper , Swampert Blaziken Sceptile , latios latias , groudon kyogre Rayquaza , Wailord relicanth
Where will the stones for the new Mega Evolutions be hidden? At Steven Stone
New areas to be introduced?
No
Ideas for post-game content?
When you catch Rayquaza steven will give you Rayquazarite to mega evolve it and defeat mega Kyogre or mega groudon (depending on version)

pastel_fallout May 11th, 2014 3:18 PM

Who will be the protagonists?
I think the protagonists will be May and Brendan, but with little tweaks to their outfits, etc. and being able to choose a different skin tone for racial equality purposes. The customizing aspect from X/Y may be in play to an extent, such as changing the color of the clothing and hair.
What role will Wally play?
I think Wally will play the same role as in R/S/E for the most part, maybe with the addition of, a) a Mega Gardevoir; B) If new islands are included in the remakes, he'd escort you to them, and; C) Being able to battle him once a day at his home in Verdanturf Town after the Elite Four is beaten, rather than several times a day in Victory Road.
What roles do you think Juan, Wallace, and Steven will fill?
I think Wallace and Steven will take on their original roles as in Ruby and Sapphire, with Juan being the powerful traveling trainer whom you can battle in Mossdeep after defeating the Elite Four. I think this because (at the time of writing this) there is no confirmed Emerald remake.
Will there be any other League-related changes?
I think that the league members will remain the same as they were in Ruby and Sapphire, though with some Pokémon team changes.
Will Scott make a return? If so, what as?
I think he may appear in the same way as Emerald if they include the Battle Frontier, otherwise, I don't think he'll make a prominent appearance. Maybe as a normal NPC if they don't include the Battle Frontier.
What will Rayquaza's role in the story be?
I think Rayquaza will be the same as in Ruby and Sapphire rather than the same in Emerald, due to there being no announced Emerald remake (at the time of writing this). That said, he may receive a Mega Evolution.
Assume Kyogre and Groudon receive Mega Evolutions. What do you think
— their types / abilities / signature moves will be?
Groudon: Groudon would get to be a Fire/Ground type, while gaining the Battle Armor ability and an increased Speed. Signature moves would be Flamethrower, Earthquake, Dragon Claw, and Sunny Day.
Kyogre: Kyogre would get to be a Water/Steel type, while gaining the Hydration ability, and an increased Defense. Signature moves would be Hydro Pump, Rain Dance, Thunder, and Iron Head.

— their roles in the games will be?
Same as in Ruby and Sapphire, each for their respective copies.
— of their Megastones being the Red/Blue Orbs? Or will they be something else?
I think the Red/Blue orbs may be renamed as mega stones, like Kyogite and Groudite, while keeping the same appearance as the red/blue orbs.
What will the Version Exclusive Pokemon be?
AlphaSapphire:
Seedot family
Mawile
Zangoose
Solrock
Kyogre

Will Generation IV - VI Pokemon be available in the wild?
They will become available in certain areas after Petalburg City
— If so, what Pokemon will be included/excluded?

What new Mega Evolutions will be introduced?
Mega Sceptile
Mega Ludicolo
Mega Swampert
Mega Seviper
Mega Zangoose
Mega Groudon
Mega Kyogre
Mega Gallade

Where will the stones for the new Mega Evolutions be hidden?
Groudon/Kyogre's Mega Stone's will automatically go to the player after they're caught, just like with Mewtwo in X/Y. The others however will be either given to the player by an NPC after a certain goal has been met, or found in the overworld.
New areas to be introduced?
Something like the Sevii islands with the extra islands seen on the Hoenn map.
Ideas for post-game content?
The Battle Frontier being brought back, Pokemon Contests being brought back and revamped, and catching Rayquaza at Sky Pillar.

Brendan/May
What role will Wally play?
Rival and really badass post-game trainer (e.g. Red in GSC/HGSS and Steven in Emerald)
What roles do you think Juan, Wallace, and Steven will fill?
Juan/Wallace: Gym Leader 8 (If playing Omega Ruby, you battle Juan; if playing Alpha Sapphire, you battle Wallace)

It was already confirmed that ORAS is a remake of Ruby and Sapphire (and probably Emerald as well), so it's quite obvious that the protagonists are going to be Brendan/Landon and May. ^^
I really am hoping that they're gonna be the heroes, because I really wanna see Brendan/Landon in 3D, so I can clearly see that white hat he kept on wearing that made me believe that it was his hair. >.>

The...rival...?
And hopefully, since he just moved to Hoenn, then he'll probably be the one who'll introduce the Megavolution to the ORAS protagonist. Assuming that he's from Kalos~

As much as I hate to think about it, it's more likely that Juan will be the 8th gym leader, Wallace will be the Hoenn champion, and Steven will be a former champion that we can battle in the post-game, just like Red in Gold/Silver/Crystal/HG/SS... =/
edited (Aug. 28, 2014) : Now that I think about it, I think both Juan and Wallace will be the 8th Gym Leaders, but not at the same time. What I mean is that maybe in one version, Wallace is the 8th Gym Leader, while on the other version, it's Juan, just like Iris and Drayden on Black and White versions. And so, Steven will still be the region's champion.

edit (June 11, 2014) : I think the Red and Blue Orbs will be the key for them to turn into their Primal Reversion forms.
edit (September 11, 2014) : Since their primal forms' abilities are known now, I speculate that Primal Groudon's [Strong Sunlight] ability will hurt other non-fire PKMN in the battlefield after every turn.

I would believe that they'll be available later in the game. Most probably after the League. The Gen 4-6 'mons will probably then start to appear around the region.

Wally will most likely give you the Mega Stone depending on what your starter is. For the other stones, I think we can get them from NPC's since the stones are from Kalos after all.

Who will be the protagonists?
The protagonists from the original pair, with redesigns probably.
What role will Wally play?
A rival of course. Like in the original pair, he might not appear that much, since it was announced that these are full-remakes.
What roles do you think Juan, Wallace, and Steven will fill?
Juan will be a nobody like in the original pair, Wallace as the Sootopolis City Gym leader, and Steven as the Champion of the Pokemon League.
Will there be any other League-related changes?
Redesigns of the rooms of course, maybe it will stick to the games prior to Black and White, and for the first time, when you beat the game, you'll be able to rechallenge them with new teams and higher levels.
Will Scott make a return? If so, what as?
They're full-remakes, so Scott may not appear before post-game. Scott, as usual, will look for talented trainers for the Battle Frontier.
What will Rayquaza's role in the story be?
Probably the same as in Sootopolis City, it'll stop Kyogre and Groudon of course.
Assume Kyogre and Groudon receive Mega Evolutions. What do you think
— their types / abilities / signature moves will be?
— their roles in the games will be?
— of their Megastones being the Red/Blue Orbs? Or will they be something else?
If they were to receive Mega Evolutions, Groudon may be a Ground/Fire-Type and Kyogre may still be a Water-Type, to be honest, I don't see any more types available for Kyogre. The mascots of their respective games, they fight in Sootopolis City, and the game mascot will proceed to the Cave of Origin. The Red/Blue Orbs are used to control, so they say. I believe they will shatter and Mega Stones may be discovered within them, Kyogre and Groudon were said to be controlled by the orbs, but maybe, just maybe, they're not, they only want something within the orbs.
What will the Version Exclusive Pokemon be?
Omega Ruby:
Seedot
Nuzleaf
Shiftry
Mawile
Zangoose
Solrock
Groudon
Alpha Sapphire:
Lotad
Lombre
Ludicolo
Sableye
Seviper
Lunatone
Kyogre

Will Generation IV - VI Pokemon be available in the wild?
Probably, check out Heart Gold and Soul Silver for more information.
— If so, what Pokemon will be included/excluded?
Sinnoh, Unova, and Kalos Pokemon, excluding starters and legendary Pokemon, the games could use a few legendaries, however.
What new Mega Evolutions will be introduced?
Mega Sceptile, Swampert, Sableye, Metagross, Milotic, Kyogre, Groudon, and Rayquaza. We'd have too many if there were four-five more.
Where will the stones for the new Mega Evolution will be hidden?
Notable places such as the Abandoned Ship, Route 111 desert, Meteor Falls, Mt. Chimney, Scorched Slab, Mt. Pyre, Shoal Cave, Underwater, Seafloor Cavern, Sealed Chamber, Sootopolis City, Cave of Origin, Sky Pillar, Victory Road, possibly Terra Cave and Marine Cave, and possibly the new areas to be introduced.
New areas to be introduced?
New Areas within notable places, a place that makes me very curious, is Dewford Town, that inaccessible island on the north, and the Granite Cave, surely there's something more to them.
Ideas for post-game content?
Mega Stones in Hoenn, Battle Frontier, Legendaries from other generations, Jirachi, Deoxys, Latios and Latias, their Mega Stones, Gym and Pokemon League rematches, return of the Safari Zone, events relating to Kalos, new quests that will allow you to connect with games X and Y upon completion like in FireRed and LeafGreen. Ugh I can't think of more.

robxu9 May 11th, 2014 5:45 PM

Who will be the protagonists?
ユウキ and ハルカ (Brendan and May)
What role will Wally play?
Honestly? I think he'll play the same role as before. Maybe he'll get the rival theme too, but who knows how they'll change it up.
What roles do you think Juan, Wallace, and Steven will fill?
Unfortunately, I believe that they'll be basing it off the Emerald timeline, much like HeartGold and SoulSilver combined GS with the Crystal timeline. So Juan would be the 8th Gym Leader, Wallace would be the Champion, and Steven will be looking for rocks again.
Will there be any other League-related changes?
It's a remake... I'm doubtful.
Will Scott make a return? If so, what as?
I hope not. He seemed annoying.
What will Rayquaza's role in the story be?
Calming Kyogre and Groudon and negating the effects of the Red and Blue Orbs. So like Emerald.
Assume Kyogre and Groudon receive Mega Evolutions. What do you think
— their types / abilities / signature moves will be?
Uhh... same as always?
— their roles in the games will be? Also same as always???
— of their Megastones being the Red/Blue Orbs? Or will they be something else? Nah, they're probably the red and blue orbs. But I don't think they're going to be mega evolutions, per se - but rather reacting to the orbs without any sort of mega bracelet or something.
What will the Version Exclusive Pokemon be? ...deadpans
Honestly, if not the legendaries... I have no clue. They'll probably stick as close as possible to Ruby/Sapphire, and probably figure something out for the later generations. (maybe also stick as close to Diamond/Pearl, HeartGold/SoulSilver, B2/W2, X/Y, etc)
Will Generation IV - VI Pokemon be available in the wild? I can't see why not.
— If so, what Pokemon will be included/excluded? I have no idea.
What new Mega Evolutions will be introduced?
Where will the stones for the new Mega Evolutions be hidden?

Am I the only one who didn't really like the mega evolution concept? It seemed honestly quite foreign... Then again, I guess I shouldn't be too surprised. Also, does the X/Y timeline match with RSE?
New areas to be introduced? A better Battle Frontier? Maybe the southern islands that are on the PokeNav map?
Ideas for post-game content? Allow travel to new areas.

Shrew May 11th, 2014 6:10 PM

Who will be the protagonists?
Spoiler:

May and Brendan. This will be the first remakes in which the protagonists aren't named by their colours by default. They will sport their Ruby/Sapphire outfits to match the colours of ORAS, but the Emerald outfit can be purchased. Speaking of which: What would happen if Brendan changed his hat? Y'know, the white-spiky beanie which we all though was hair at some point. Could you imagine "Brendan" wearing a red-checked Fedora over his... uneventful short black hair? I imagine that either, (1) a hairstyle available for males will be to style your hair AS the white hat, or as a more ballsy prediction, (2) that Brendan will be REDESIGNED to have his hair be styled like the hat by default, with the precendent that Gold had his hair redesigned.

According to Bulbapedia, RSE May is originally Light-Skin/Brown-Hair/Blue-Eyes. When you start the game, May will be given the choice between default Light/Brown/Brown, Light/Blond/Blue, and Dark/Black/Brown. RSE Brendan is originally Light-Skin/Black-Hair/Brown-Eyes, but its noted that Colloseum gave him blue eyes and other Sugimori art has drawn him with white hair. The options for Brendan and his new hairdo will be Light/Black Hair/Brown Eyes, Light/White Hair/Blue Eyes, and Dark/Black/Brown.

Another funny question: if Brendan/May has dark-skin, will either your Mom or Norman have dark-skin as well? In XY, your mom Grace's skin was the same regardless, but perhaps you just take after your dad. But RSE is the only game where both parents are present! I predict that Gamefreak will alter the mother's appearance according to Brendan/May's. This is just meant to be a fun question for thought, as there would be nothing wrong if they kept both Mom and Norman exactly as they were in RSE.

What role will Wally play?
Spoiler:

Wally will play an even more active role as a rival than he had in Emerald. He will not use Mega Gardevoir until post-story mode. (See my answers regarding mega evolution being obtained only post-story mode.)

What roles do you think Juan, Wallace, and Steven will fill?
Spoiler:

Steven seems to be the more popular champion compared to Wallace. Yet HGSS set a precedent for following Crystal's plot as opposed to GS's. Considering that these remakes are meant to ultimately cater to what the fans liked most about RSE, I predict that Steven will be the champion. Once again, Steven will not have a Mega Aggron or anything until post-story mode... it's not like Aggron was his signature/strongest pokemon in RSE anyways (Metagross was), so it'd be strange to make a big deal about it in ORAS.

Both the anime and manga highlight Wallace as a fan of pokemon Contests. Whereas in Emerald Juan replaced him because he wanted to pursue becoming champion, I believe that in ORAS, Wallace will have left his gym to pursue contests. (Not Super Contests, by the way.)

Will there be any other League-related changes?
Spoiler:

I believe that pretty much everything in the league and plot will stay nearly the same to either as what Emerald had. As far as I know, HGSS and FRLG carried over the same exact pokemon gym leaders/elites used. For instance, Karen continues to use Vileplume, Gengar, and Murkrow in her team despite Honchkrow and tons of new dark types like Absol being introduced to replace the non-darks.

Just like HGSS, Gymleaders and Elites *will* revise their teams to include new pokemon and mega evolutions *after* story mode.

Will Scott make a return? If so, what as?
Spoiler:

Scott and the Battle Frontier will be introduced as they were in Emerald. I believe the Battle Frontier will keep the same exact challenges for the most part, with the exception of the Battle Pike. The Battle Pike (Queen Lucy's) formerly randomizes challenges between singles, doubles, wild pokemon encounters, and a few other things. I believe that triples, rotation, and wild hoarde battles will be thrown into the mix.

What will Rayquaza's role in the story be?
Spoiler:

I believe that the plot of ORAS will mostly follow that of Emerald, similar to how HGSS followed Crystal. So the scene where Rayquaza flies in to break the feud between the two pokemon will still be present. This is discussed much later, but I believe that the orb which doesn't correspond with your main legendary will become the mega stone for Rayquaza, varying between each version.

Assume Kyogre and Groudon receive Mega Evolutions. What do you think
— their types / abilities / signature moves will be?
— their roles in the games will be?
— of their Megastones being the Red/Blue Orbs? Or will they be something else?

Spoiler:

Groudon will become Fire/Ground. Groudon was introduced before the physical-special split. Groudon was the physical, Kyogre the special. Now that a physical attacker can utilize fire moves like Flare Blitz, this is a good opportunity to update its typing to take advantage of new mechanics.

If Kyogre gained a second-typing, I would bet Water/Electric. Looking at how its mega glows, it's easy to imagine that its glowing from electricity while Groudon glows from fire. Being part electric would make it weak to one of Groudon's STABs to balance the two out a little bit (especially after Groudon gains a quad-weakness to water), and yet having STAB Thunder would make Kyogre better.

Don't forget that Xerneas only has one-type yet Yveltal has two. There's no rule that says version mascots must have the same number of types... I'm tempted to say that Kyogre might just stay pure water, but that's less of an exciting theory.

New abilities: Drought Ω and Drizzle α. These weather conditions last permanently. Establish that these legend are capable of bringing long-term changes to the ecosystem unlike Politoed and Ninetales.

I believe that Steven Stone, stone enthusiast, help you realize that the Blue Orb--required to awaken Groudon--is the Mega Stone for Kyogre in Alpha Sapphire. And the Red Orb will be the Mega Stone for Mega Rayquaza Alpha version. And vice-versa for Omega Ruby.

What will the Version Exclusive Pokemon be?
Spoiler:

Let's take a look at the differences between GS version exclusives (in the Japanese) with HGSS's. With the exception of formerly-unavailable Kabuto/Omanyte becoming version exclusives, the version exclusive lists of pokemon released *before 3rd gen* are exactly the same. Hence, it's safe to say that for ORAS, the version exclusive list from RS will carry over and we only have to worry about things from 4-6th gen.

It's also worth noting that neither FRLG or HGSS didn't have any RS or DP pokemon as exclusives respectively, with the exception of evolutions like Gliscor or Mantyke. Because Sylveon is the only XY evolution, I believe no XY pokemon will be exclusives.

However, HGSS (4th) did incorporate some of RS's exclusives (3rd). FRLG (3rd) incorporated some GS's (2nd). So its safe to guess that ORAS will incorporate Black/White exclusives. It's difficult to pinpoint which exactly... perhaps something like Braviary and Mandibuzz post-story mode (especially considering they weren't available post-story mode in XY.)

HGSS and BW2 had a trend of including many legendaries from previous games as version exclusives. I believe Tornadus and Thundurus will be version exclusives much like Regice/Registeel in BW2 or Kyogre/Ground in HGSS, with Landorus unlocked if you have both. Although not technically version-exclusives, because XY had the Kanto birds chosen based on starters and so did Emerald with the Johto beasts, I think this pattern will be repeated.

One final question regarding exclusives: Would it be fair if Ruby-version had Mega Mawile, but Sapphire to not have that? This *could *be compensated by making a pokemon like Absol becoming a Sapphire-exclusive... but this is not the solution I believe they will take. (See my answer for mega evolutions.)

Will Generation IV - VI Pokemon be available in the wild?
— If so, what Pokemon will be included/excluded?
Spoiler:

I mentioned in the previous question how Gen 4-6 pokemon will likely be version exclusives; however like with HGSS, I believe that they will be post-story. HGSS made pokemon like Togekiss and Electivire post-story (because their items could naturally be postponed), but included pokemon like Lickilicky and Yanmega (who evolve with level-up moves) into a new Johto dex, with the total being 256.

Let's look at the Hoenn dex, which has a total of 202 pokemon. Gallade, Probopass, Magnezone, Budew, Roserade, Dusknoir, Rhyperior, Froslass. These are the new evolutions which have been introduced since then. All of them are avoidable (including Budew which needs incense), with the debatable exception of Probopass and Magnezone, in which the new Mt. Coronet could be a post-story location.

XY had 454 available. Through post-story methods (Radar, Hoardes), I believe ORAS will feel obligated to meet this quota with at least 500 pokemon available.

What new Mega Evolutions will be introduced?
Spoiler:

I mentioned earlier how it would be unfair if Ruby-version had a Mega Mawile but Sapphire's Sableye didn't have this. Hence why I believe Sableye will gain a mega evolution.

Salamence and Metagross will get megas, because there's no better time for the pseudo-legends of the region to get them besides their own remake. The pokemon will not be version-exclusive but their stones will be. Zangoose and Seviper will, to continue XY's trend of each game having exclusive megas. Perhaps also Shiftry and Ludicolo, but these two are my least confident guesses and it has more to do with the need for more version exclusive megas.

Treecko, Mudkip, Latis (lol), Kyogre, and Groudon are the obligatory and obvious guesses. Rayquaza is a somewhat obvious one, which I would like to elaborate on: I believe that there will be both an Alpha and Omega form for each version, noted with the the greek characters α and Ω. I (incorrectly) theorized that Gen 7 would be called Alpha and Beta, so that the trend of denoting mega evolutions with a single letter could be continued. It's easier to say "Mega Mewtwo X" than "Mega Mewtwo Purple", for instance. Now with ORAS, they could have gone a more predictable route and chose to call them MagmaRuby and AquaSapphire, right? But they chose to call them by (greek) letters instead. Why? Because there WILL be version-exclusive mega evolutions that require being called α and Ω! And Rayquaza fits the profile best for a pokemon who could receive two mega evolutions like Mewtwo had. This is probably the one theory I'm so confident in that I want to bold it, the one thing I want read the most.

Where will the stones for the new Mega Evolutions be hidden?

Spoiler:

I believe *every* mega stone aside from Groudon, Kyogre, and Rayquaza's (the ones that are needed for the plot) will be post story mode only. The protagonist will not receive xer's Mega Ring until after story mode, when xe learns that the same source of power that allowed Groudon/Kyogre to rise above their typical forms is accessible to other pokemon. The game would not assume you already know what Mega Evolution is to be friendly to new players and because chronologically this takes place before mega evolutions are common knowledge. You would receive your mega ring as a "rare object from a foreign region", most likely from Steven, stone enthusiast. I think the Scorched Slab is one location that might have a mega stone, given how similar it is to the Chamber of Emptiness where you find the Banetite. (Source: Bulbapedia's trivia.)

New areas to be introduced?
Spoiler:

The only new areas that will be introduced are those required to include legendaries from previous generations, similar to how HGSS had the Shinto Ruins. Similar to how the event Celebi had a sidequest, so might Jirachi. The Scorched Slab might be expanded.

Ideas for post-game content?
Spoiler:

Anything more than the Battle Frontier would be showing-up XY more than necessary. They didn't set the bar too high, so they will likely keep it low so that when XY's sequel comes out, they can realistically surpass ORAS in post-game content.

Who will be the protagonists?
Brendan and May - though they may well be renamed to something like Omega and Alpha. I 100% doubt that they'll be replaced with 'new' protagonists, or that it'll be a case of HGSS where the female character is basically the same, but is 'new' for no real reason. They'll revamp Brendan and May.

The same as before; though he'll be given a bit of a better stance as a rival, perhaps. Maybe they'll give him a Mega Gardevoir, or maybe still he'll get a Gallade instead. Either way, they'll have it so you battle Wally way more than two times throughout the main story. He'll definitely cross paths with the rival teams too - he had nothing to do with them before, but I expect a tag battle here and there.

Quote:

What roles do you think Juan, Wallace, and Steven will fill?
Hard to say - I doubt ORAS will have the same deal as HGSS and basicall have Emerald's story, because ultimately ORAS will focus on its mascot legendary.
Because of this, I'm willing to bet Steven will be Champion, Wallace will be 8th Gym Leader, and Juan might receive a cameo somewhere - if you battle him he'll be strong, sure, but nothing special beyond 'Wallace's Mentor'.

Quote:

Will there be any other League-related changes?
There may be some level alterations, and they may well have it so you can battle them in any order, as per Gen V/XY, but the members will be the same and will have the same teams as before.

Quote:

Will Scott make a return? If so, what as?
As the creator of the Battle Frontier, of course. Exact same as before, only he'll probably make a big deal about Mega Stones and stuff as well, he'll either a) be the one to give you the Mega Stone or b) be simply flabbergasted and in awe that you're able to use Mega Evolution, when it comes around to it.

Quote:

What will Rayquaza's role in the story be?
Verrrrrrrrrry hard to predict - since the video most recently broadcasted by Pokémon shows separate cutscenes of rain and sunshine, I'm willing to bet Rayquaza won't resume its Emerald role, but will simply wait atop Sky Pillar for the player to battle in the postgame.

Quote:

Assume Kyogre and Groudon receive Mega Evolutions. What do you think
— their types / abilities / signature moves will be?

Groudon will gain secondary Fire typing, and he will keep Drought - however, I'm willing to bet he'll get some kind of modified Drought that remains permanent for as long as he's in the arena, or at least lasts longer than five turns. I think the same regarding Kyogre, of course - Drizzle will be modified for it so that it lasts longer. Also, Kyogre will get secondary Ice typing, if it gets a Mega Evolution.
Quote:

— their roles in the games will be?
I imagine their roles will be much the same as before, with the respective evil Teams trying to expand the land mass/the sea. However, in the event that the modified Groudon/Kyogre are indeed Mega Evolutions, I'd say that the evil teams want to Mega Evolve them to further enhance the weather effects, quite simply.
Quote:

— of their Megastones being the Red/Blue Orbs? Or will they be something else?

IF they are Mega Evolutions I'm willing to bet the Red and Blue Orbs will become their Groudonite and Kyogrite, yes.

Quote:

What will the Version Exclusive Pokemon be?
Don't see why they'd change the version exclusives: Seedot, Solrock, Zangoose etc. to OR, Lotad Lunatone, Seviper etc. to AS. I'm also willing to bet that certain 'pairs' of Pokémon from more recent generations will also be present as version exclusives, like Slurpuff and the other Fairy thang.
Quote:

Will Generation IV - VI Pokemon be available in the wild?
Absolutely. That Hoenn 'dex be getting expanded, right-quick.
Quote:

— If so, what Pokemon will be included/excluded?
Oh my godddddddddd who is asking these questions I want to sleep. Anyway, obviously the starters from other generations won't be available in the wild (NOT counting the likes of Friend Safari, or whatever). There won't be all that many Kalos Pokémon available; Fletchling, Bunnelby, Scatterbug, Litleo, Honedge - their evolutionary lines won't be available, for example.

Quote:

What new Mega Evolutions will be introduced?
Milotic, Metagross, Salamence, Walrein, Cacturne, Sabeleye, to name a few Hoenn Pokémon that might get some.
Quote:

Where will the stones for the new Mega Evolutions be hidden?
...randomly across the region like in X and Y, only there'll need to be a different system of activating the 'locator', because there's no big crystal like in Anistar City. No doubt in the postgame if you talk to Scott or whoever tells you about the Mega Stones initially, they'll say "Oh, I heard there's a strange stone in _______, maybe it's a Mega Stone".

FURTHERMORE, I guarantee that the odd stone that you're given on a whim in X/Y is actually a Mega Stone for ORAS; and you totally have the option to trade it for a Sun Stone, which I accidentally did and now feel suuuuuuper stupid about.
Quote:

New areas to be introduced?
Nah, Hoenn's plenty colourful and diverse - they'll doll it up like all hell, but they won't need to add new areas.

Quote:

Ideas for post-game content?
Emerald's Battle Frontier (which does NOT count as a new area thank you very much); the Mega Stones will need to be found. Rematches against Gym Leaders via call on the PokéNav, Swarm Pokémon, the Lati will roam, Rayquaza will be unlocked (as will Regigigas if you catch all the Regis). Instead of the Johto-ish area of the Safari Zone, Friend Safari's will be unlocked.

Who will be the protagonists?

I think, and hope, that it will be Brendan and May still. I think they'd keep the ability to customize them, though, and new items will be available that fit those characters' styles more.

What role will Wally play?

That's a tough one. I certainly hope he'll have a larger part than he did in the original games. I think they might expand his role, assuming he's kept, and make him more of a real rival, rather than those two battles you had against him in the originals. He might have a bit more story to him, but I don't think he'll become anything too great, as we already have to fight over Wallace or Steven being champion.

What roles do you think Juan, Wallace, and Steven will fill?

Okay, let's look at it this way: these are remakes of Ruby and Sapphire, yes, but I suspect that many elements implemented in Emerald will appear, as there will be no "Gamma Emerald" or what have you, so they'll likely take things they added and expanded upon in Emerald and place them in ORAS, similar to certain things in HGSS, such as Suicune's role, being kept to an extent. Going by this train of thought, I think Juan and Wallace will retain their roles as Gym Leader and Champion, respectively, and Steven will be a powerful trainer you can see around the region, and perhaps with a larger part in the story.

Will there be any other League-related changes?

I think (or hope) that the Elite Four members will have more to them, whether it be a larger part in the story or at least some back stories to them. They'll have updated teams, but they themselves will likely be the same.

Will Scott make a return? If so, what as?

I'm not sure, here. He's not very memorable, and I'm not sure whether they'll bring back the original Battle Frontier, no matter how much I'd like them to. I'm going to say that he won't, although there may still be some version of a battle frontier.

EDIT: Since I'm deciding to assume that the original Battle Frontier might really be back, I'm going to say that Scott might appear in relation to it, although perhaps not as much as he did in Emerald.

What will Rayquaza's role in the story be?

Mediator between Kyogre and Groudon, I would assume. I'm not sure how they'll play the story between Team Magma / Team Aqua and Groudon / Kyogre, as they'll likely keep Groundon obtainable in OR and Kyogre obtainable in AS, but it will probably still have both to a certain extent, and Rayquaza will be needed to keep order.

Assume Kyogre and Groudon receive Mega Evolutions. What do you think
— their types / abilities / signature moves will be?

I think their types would be the same, and the originals didn't really have signature moves, so I don't think they'll be getting any EDIT: going by the trailer, they probably will have new moves. Groudon's was some sort of spikes-coming-out-of-magma thing, so I'm suspecting Ground-type (especially since it made a super-effective noise against Blaziken, so it's no dual-fire) and probably 140 base power. Kyogre's will be Water-type and probably with 140 base power as well. As far as abilities . . . their major thing is being able to affect the weather, so they'll either retain their normal abilities of Drought and Drizzle in the new forms, or (site says new abilities so new abilities it is) have some greater ability involving their respective weather of sun and rain. Perhaps aura abilities like Yveltal and Xerneas. Earth Aura and Water Aura? If not, it will probably be something involving sunlight/rain and ground or fire/water moves.

— their roles in the games will be?

Team Magma / Team Aqua will probably be trying to harness the legedaries' powers to influence the region's land / water mass, and these forms will probably be some secret power that allows them to truly reshape the world, so they'll attempt to draw out the forms and, well, do their thing.

— of their Megastones being the Red/Blue Orbs? Or will they be something else?

I think that would make the most sense, as they already have a connection / resonance with the orbs, so it wouldn't be far out there to think they'll draw out the new forms.

What will the Version Exclusive Pokémon be?

I'm assuming they'll be similar to the exclusives in the original games.

αSapphire: Lotad line, Sableye, Seviper, Lunatone, Latias, Kyogre

ΩRuby: Seedot line, Mawile, Zangoose, Solrock, Latios, Groudon

Will Generation IV - VI Pokémon be available in the wild?

Once the National Dex is obtained, then certainly. Perhaps they'll add a few new pokémon to the Safari Zone, and pokémon that evolve from older pokémon, such as Gallade, Probopass, Magnezone, Dusknoir and Rhyperior, might be available through evolution (perhaps only Probopass and Magnezone, as the others reuire items), but not capture.

But I'm going to say that the Hoenn Pokédex will stay pretty much the same, and most post-gen III pokémon will be available only in the post-game.

— If so, what Pokémon will be included/excluded?

What new Mega Evolutions will be introduced?
Bolding ones that get confirmed, just because.

I've heard rumors of Mega Plusle and Mega Minun, which sound awkward (but amazing), as well as Jynx. I heard mention of Mega Kecleon earlier, which sounds cool. There will most likely be Mega Swampert and Mega Sceptile. Other ones I think (or hope) they might include are Mega Milotic, Mega Tropius, Mega Metagross, Mega Zangoose, Mega Seviper, Mega Breloom, Mega Exploud, Mega Sableye, Mega Sharpedo, Mega Torkoal, Mega Camerupt, Mega Salemence, Mega Swellow, and Mega Skarmory.

Of course there'll be Mega Latios and Mega Latias, and possibly Mega Groudon and Mega Kyogre. If Groudon and Kyogre get Megas, then I think it fair to also make a Mega Rayquaza. *Primal forms, baby

Those are just Hoenn pokémon, though. I'm still expecting Megas for the Gen II-V starters, as well as other potential non-Hoenn pokémon.

Total shots in the dark, though. Still, there's always hope.

EDIT: Sadly, I didn't call Diancie, although I don't think anybody saw that coming.

Where will the stones for the new Mega Evolutions be hidden?

I have no idea, honestly. Some of the locations of certain Mega Stones in X and Y were so odd and obscure. Tyranitar/Aggron were even inside a gym.

EDIT: Just to get some ideas in . . . perhaps in dungeons such as Mt. Chimney, Mt. Pyre, the Aqua/Magma base, and Victory Road (and that cave you first find Steven in in Dewford, as he's now connected to Mega Evolution). I think Sableye's Mega Stone might be within Mt. Pyre.

New areas to be introduced?

New to the series or new to Hoenn games? Some people have mentioned the Sevii Isles, and I think that would make sense. New chambers for certain legendaries, perhaps one for Regigigas, and other small areas, like new caves or underwater locations.

EDIT: Going by the map update, there's more land all around the water, although I'm not sure if that's significant. An expanded Aqua/Magma base seems likely (the dark place at the top), but it's not necessarily new. It would also seem that the Battle Frontier is certainly back, but that's also not new.

Ideas for post-game content?

Asdfghjkl; The original Battle Frontier would be really nice, but I don't know if they'll implement that again. If they introduce the Sevii Isles, then that would probably be post-game. I'm not sure what else there could be.

EDIT: As I said above, it would seem that the Battle Frontier is back. I'm going to take a shot and say it'll be like the original Battle Frontier, which I will enjoy immensely if it is.

Velveteenwolf May 11th, 2014 8:38 PM

Who will be the protagonists?
I think the protagonists will be either May and Brendan or following Crystal and HeartGold's example be two new players for the occasion, especially if it is a remake but set in a new time frame if they want to explain the "new" Pokemon and Mega Evolution.

What role will Wally play?
I think Wally would play the same role but maybe more connected to the main story of Team Magma and Team Aqua, not just a side story that shows up at the entrance of Victory Road. Maybe some Double or Triple battles with him would be cool. I loved Wally's story, how we helped him in the beginning and how he grew stronger with his Ralts. He was more than just a way to sneak in a how to catch Pokemon tutorial. And his relationship with Ralts made me love that Pokemon. Maybe have him also have a starter from this Region? or even from each region?

What roles do you think Juan, Wallace, and Steven will fill?
I think Juan as sootopolis city Gym leader should be more included in the story, since the big event of all 3 legendary Pokemon showing up there takes place. I think Wallace should show up more also since he is closely related to Juan, the gym and becomes champ in Emerald. Maybe be more like Alder and Lance? Steven should help with Mega stones since he is a stone fanatic and be related to Groudon and Kyoger's mega Evolutions. He is also closely related to Wallace since Wallace takes over as champ.

Will there be any other League-related changes?
Maybe make them more powerful after deafeting them a certain number of times? Have them evolve their Pokemon or have completly new team lineups, maybe even based on what starter you picked. Mega Evolutions for each Elite Four. Pick how many pokemon each Trainer can have for the match. Challenge modes like each Pokemon hp set to 1 and you win based on who hits first (quick draw challenge?). Elite four uses rare and Legendary Pokemom with evs and ivs, maybe as a setting?

Will Scott make a return? If so, what as?
People seam to not like Scott very much for some reason. We should be use to annoying characters that appear at terrible and weird moments. But maybe he can come back as the gym guy who gives out water bottles or lemonade.

What will Rayquaza's role in the story be?
Maybe the same as before but way cooler. With a mega evolution. Make it show up more than it did, more of a supporting role. Maybe even a shiny Rayquaza! Maybe the trainer can help it defeat Mega Groudon and Mega Kyoger by looking for its Mega stones to evolve it into Mega Rayquaza using their Mega Ring. Or Mega Deoxys swoops in and saves the day.

Assume Kyogre and Groudon receive Mega Evolutions. What do you think
— their types / abilities / signature moves will be?

I think groudon should change to a Dragon Type and Kyogre a Fairy type. Abilitys should be new ones that have to do with the weather. Completely new signature moves.

— their roles in the games will be?
Probably the same. With a twist.

— of their Megastones being the Red/Blue Orbs? Or will they be something else?
I think the mega stones should change from the orbs, like an event needs to happen for them to change to their true identity as mega stones. Red and Blue orb seems too vague. Or they should be two different items like the orbs react/find Groudon, Kyoger and their stones.

What will the Version Exclusive Pokemon be?
Maybe make all gen 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 Version exclusives to a specific game. Or base it on the mascots type.

Will Generation IV - VI Pokemon be available in the wild?
Yes. Hopefully they wont look like they were bleached. Some of the color schemes looked too weird and different.

— If so, what Pokemon will be included/excluded?

I think they they should include all of them. Before it was a good idea to include some of your favorites to introduce the new ones, but why exclude some with mega evolutions if you want to be able to catch them, too. They are all my favorites and I think the only thing new would be a Pokemon's Mega Evolution. I think they should have kept some familiar faves in Black and White. New Pokemon take some getting use to. Plus they are bringing back gotta catch em all, going back to the beginning.

What new Mega Evolutions will be introduced?

They would probably focus on this regions Pokemon or completely surprise us. I cant even imagine what they would look like.

Where will the stones for the new Mega Evolutions be hidden?
Maybe in Hidden Bases around the game. Then maybe they will be extra hidden. Maybe group hunts.

New areas to be introduced?
Maybe new routes or cities that have the "new" Pokemon. Stretch out that route near ever grande. More ocean to the right of the map. The moon could be cool. Moon Pokemon like Clefairy and Beheyem, and shiny Deoxys. Maybe underwater caverns deep in the ocean. Treasure hunting and sunken ships.

Ideas for post-game content?
Rematchs, daily side quests that are downloadable. Meet up with other trainers to hunt shinies. Route outbursts and increasing chances of horde battles. Change what Pokemon show up in horde battles based on what music your playing from a region. Bug, fishing and other contests to keep you busy. Multiplayer mini games like in Pokemon Stadium. To really be able to breed and train a triathlon Pokemon, not just to be a battler. To really be able to change roles like "I don't want to be a Trainer any more, I want to be a coordinator or Rhyhorn Racer. " Maybe be an aura guardian (Time Travel?), Pokemon ranger, or a spy for looker. Include missions with old evil Teams (or even new ones) like Team Rocket, Team Galactic, Team Plasma and Team Flare. (maybe team Magma the basis of team Flare?! Ripple effect!) Make it more interesting for those who don't care about ivs and evs and completing the pokedex. Lots of legendary hunts, maybe even shiny!

felynari May 11th, 2014 9:10 PM

Who will be the protagonists?
Brendan and May (kinda obvious i think) if they're not the protagonists then this might be a sequel.

What role will Wally play?

Alternate Rival (if only i can use him xD) maybe he might do mega evo too.

What roles do you think Juan, Wallace, and Steven will fill?

Steven will be the champion , Wallace is still gym leader & Juan will be at random place? maybe mirage island like the manga and he will have hes own quest or side quest.

Will Scott make a return? If so, what as?

LOL i laugh at this question.., he'll probably still annoys you anywhere in the game but maybe he will give you some item's this time

What will Rayquaza's role in the story be?

The same as R/S/E I'd like to have rayquaza mega evo hopefully they add it

Assume Kyogre and Groudon receive Mega Evolutions. What do you think

— their types / abilities / signature moves will be?

Well obviously groudon will be Fire/Ground , but for Kyore Water/Steel or
Water
/Electric? i dont think they will change its abilities & signature move

— their roles in the games will be?

Same as R/S/E

— of their Megastones being the Red/Blue Orbs? Or will they be something else?

kinda weird if its red/blue orb it must be something Omega or Alpha.

What will the Version Exclusive Pokemon be?

As usual counterpart pokemons

Will Generation IV - VI Pokemon be available in the wild?

If this is a full remake then i dont think they will add it but maybe...maybe they add it after E4

— If so, what Pokemon will be included/excluded?

Goldeen? lol magikarp/gyarados oh yes gallade will be definitely included

What new Mega Evolutions will be introduced?

Starters ,(ZIGZAGOON XD), Latios/Latias,Kyogre,Groudon & Rayquaza

Where will the stones for the new Mega Evolutions be hidden?

Postgame or special place? :|

New areas to be introduced?

Mirage island will be more useful now :3?, and the other island that has not use in R/S/E games

Ideas for post-game content?
Mew quest,Latios/Latias quest & Jirachi quest

Harvey_Create May 11th, 2014 10:30 PM

Who will be the protagonists?
Well of course, Brendon and May. They were the main Protagonists in the originals. So why not just Reboot?
What role will Wally play?
I think Wally was a meaningless character. He didnt do much in RSE for me. I think they should branch out on him a bit. Make his role more important. Maybe make him join Magma or Aqua.
What roles do you think Juan, Wallace, and Steven will fill?
I hope there respective places.
Will there be any other League-related changes?
I assume EVVERYTHING is getting a redesign. If they released it in B/W style, Not much would change. However, X/Y style, Hoenns entire layout would have to change. Possibly for better or worse. I like the idea of remade with a B/W feel. but X/Y battles. I dont know. SO MANY IDEAS.
Will Scott make a return? If so, what as?
Scott should. He kept an eye on you throughout the entire story, so why not> just make him less stalker-ish.
What will Rayquaza's role in the story be?
Rayquaza was a Peace-Keeper. And that worked, But I think there needs to be more to him. Maybe add a part earlier on in game.
Should Kyogre and Groudon receive Mega Evolutions?
I changed this question around because of some clashing views. I am not a fan of MegaEvolutions. I think they add too much Strength in game. Too OP, some may say. But, I havent had much of a look at them, So I dont know yet.
What will the Version Exclusive Pokemon be?
They should keep the same PokeDex that appeared in RSE, however, vary it up more. I dont want to see 5 million Silcoons.
Will Generation IV - VI Pokemon be available in the wild?
I think they should be end game. Like a Mini Region to explore after you beat the Pokemon League.
— If so, what Pokemon will be included/excluded?
What new Mega Evolutions will be introduced?
I want to see ones of:
Torkoal
Snorunt
Lodicullo (Cant Spell. Im lame)
Skitty
Where will the stones for the new Mega Evolutions be hidden?
If they add MegaEvolutions, THey should hide them in Hidden Grottos and Unmarked places on the map.
New areas to be introduced?
I would like to see a Mini region added for Post-Game. Maybe have a special Poedex for Gens 4-6 pokemon to be captured. I also want to see a Revamped Hidden Grotto. I liked the Idea, But more customization.
Ideas for post-game content?
Side Quests. Things to do throughout the Entire Hoenn region as means to get special end game Items. I also like the idea od Dungeons being added.

I know many of my ideas are controvestial, but a lot of these ideas im adding in my fangame.

Ephraim225 May 11th, 2014 11:22 PM

Who will be the protagonists?
Brendan and May, but they'll have their designs updated.

What role will Wally play?
He's your REAL Rival. Brendan/May become a minor entity like Ethan/Lyra, and you get to battle Wally more and explore his character more, and in the post game he becomes a fairy-type Gym Leader.

What roles do you think Juan, Wallace, and Steven will fill?
They will have the same role as they did in the original Ruby/Sapphire, however...

Will there be any other League-related changes?
...there will be a Gym Leader "Round 2" in which all leaders are tougher, what's more, Wally will be a gym leader (as stated above), the final gym will be led by Juan and Wallace will be champ, but only in these rematches.

Will Scott make a return? If so, what as?
It'd be silly for the Frontier to not return, so Scott will have the same role as in Emerald.

What will Rayquaza's role in the story be?
Same as in Emerald, although some modifications will be made to keep Emerald's plot while also keeping the version mascots exclusive.

Assume Kyogre and Groudon receive Mega Evolutions. What do you think

— their types / abilities / signature moves will be?
No changes from the original games.

— their roles in the games will be?
Same as Emerald, except see above.

— of their Megastones being the Red/Blue Orbs? Or will they be something else?
The stones will be the orbs. Except...

What will the Version Exclusive Pokemon be?
Same as in the originals, except the Red/Blue Orbs will be found in the opposite version - that is, Red Orb in AS, Blue Orb in OR. Because Game Freak loves trolling.

Will Generation IV - VI Pokemon be available in the wild?
No, there's no need.

What new Mega Evolutions will be introduced?
Mega [email protected] is all but confirmed.

Where will the stones for the new Mega Evolutions be hidden?
An event will see Diancie craft it for [email protected] you have to trade it to X/Y. Yes, the stone is hidden in a completely different region.

New areas to be introduced?
A hidden part of the woods near Fortree City where only fairy-types live. Wally travels there to found his gym.

Ideas for post-game content?
Other than what's already posted, the game will have enough sidequests to rival that of The Elder Scrolls, and Hoenn will have more dungeons and additional areas for this purpose. (Okay fine, a guy can dream right?) Oh, and the Frontier will have more content resembling that of Pokemon Stadium, including a Gym Leader Castle and standard Stadium Cups.

marc1234 May 12th, 2014 2:36 AM

Who will be the protagonists?
May and Brendan.

What role will Wally play?
He will play the role of a rival, the same as the original R/S. And he will give you the mega stone of Gardevoir

What roles do you think Juan, Wallace, and Steven will fill?
Wallace will be the 8th gym and Steven will be the Champion. I think Juan will not be in this game cause he appeared in Emerald. Steven will give you a mega stone in granite cave

Will there be any other League-related changes?
They will have a different teams and a Fairy type trainer

Will Scott make a return? If so, what as?
Yes, he will return. I think he will give you a mega evo stone

What will Rayquaza's role in the story be?
He will stop Kyogre and Groudon. Like he did in R/S

Assume Kyogre and Groudon receive Mega Evolutions. What do you think

— their types / abilities / signature moves will be?
Groudon will still have the same type and Kyogre also. They will have the same abilities but they will have a signature moves like Zekrom/Reshiram

— their roles in the games will be?
The evil Teams will capture them

— of their Megastones being the Red/Blue Orbs? Or will they be something else?
An improvise Red/Blue orbs

What will the Version Exclusive Pokemon be?
Latios/Latias, Groudon/Kyogre, Lunatone/Solrock

Will Generation IV - VI Pokemon be available in the wild?
Some Gen IV, and a few Gen V and VI

— If so, what Pokemon will be included/excluded?
Gallade, Riolu and Lucario, Haxorus line, Hydreigon line, Florges line and Victiny

What new Mega Evolutions will be introduced?
The 3 Regis, Groudon, Kyogre and Rayquaza, Armaldo and Cradily, Sceptile and Swampert, Metagross, Latias and Latios, Skarmory and Aggron

Where will the stones for the new Mega Evolutions be hidden?
Cave of Origin, Battle Frontier, Mirage Island, Mt.Pyre, Shoal Cave and Meteor Falls

New areas to be introduced?
New areas in Battle Frontier, Shoal Cave and new underwater dive spots

Ideas for post-game content?
Improvise Battle Frontier, Trainer tower and rematch battles. New legends and A Lot of new area. And a Missingno easter egg

ErMina May 12th, 2014 4:32 AM

Who will be the protagonists?

May & Brendan with upgraded PokeNavs and cool outfits as well!

What role will Wally play?

Your Rival, not only in Pokemon Battles but also in Pokemon Contest. With some cool Mega Evos except his Gardevoir.

What roles do you think Juan, Wallace, and Steven will fill?

Likewise, Juan is the Sootopolis City Gym Leader; Wallace is the Champ and Steven as Strongest Pokemon Trainer in whole Hoenn Region.

Will there be any other League-related changes?

The battle scenery with awesome 3D graphics! Like in Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness.

Will Scott make a return? If so, what as?

Yes, Master of Frontier Brains. (Even though Scott is not a Pokemon Trainer.) I want a twist also, like instead of Scott fighting you if you choose May as Protagonist you will fight Brendan instead of Scott. Brendan will secretly training in Battle Frontier to explore different Pokemon around the world in help for his father Prof. Birch. And vice versa.

What will Rayquaza's role in the story be?

Hero of the Sootopolis. Stops Groudon and Kyogre chaotic disaster.

Assume Kyogre and Groudon receive Mega Evolutions. What do you think
— their types / abilities / signature moves will be?
Groudon
Type 1: Fire
Type 2: Ground
Or Pure Fire Type
Ability: Drought(Normal)/Blaze(Mega)/Flame Body(Mega)/Flash Fire(Mega)/Magma Armor(Mega)
Signature Move: Fissure
Other Moves: Solar Beam, Earth Power/Land's Wrath/ Earthquake, Blast Burn/Eruption/V-create
Kyogre:
Type 1: Water
Type 2: Ice
Or Pure Ice
Ability: Drizzle(Normal)/Snow Warning(Mega)/Storm Drain(Mega)
Signature Move: Sheer Cold
Other Moves: Ice Beam or Blizzard/Freeze Burn/Ice Burn; Aqua Ring/Hydro Pump/Hydro Cannon
— their roles in the games will be?
Weather Disaster Maker
— of their Megastones being the Red/Blue Orbs? Or will they be something else?
Red Orbs turns to Ruby, Blue Orb turns to Sapphire then the 3rd one supposedly to be green orb for Rayquaza is Emerald that can only be found in Mirage Island. To get Ruby or Sapphire you must exchange the Blue/Red orb somewhere in Hoenn must be connected to Steven.
What will the Version Exclusive Pokemon be?
Like in the original version of sapphire and ruby also for emerald.
Will Generation IV - VI Pokemon be available in the wild?
— If so, what Pokemon will be included/excluded?
Yes, no exclusion of pokemons.
What new Mega Evolutions will be introduced?
Starters Mega Evo and Legendary Mega Evo
Where will the stones for the new Mega Evolutions be hidden?
Like what I've said earlier the Emerald is in Mirage Island. The Sapphire and Ruby is in Devon Corp.
New areas to be introduced?
None so far but I want some increase in seeing the Mirage Island.
Ideas for post-game content?
Umm.. Better gaming experience.

Who will be the protagonists?
Brendan and May. They might get some minor wardrobe updates, but I don't expect them to look too different.

What role will Wally play?
Same as in the originals I presume. He's a shy kid.

What roles do you think Juan, Wallace, and Steven will fill?
I don't think they will follow Emerald's story, so Steven will probably still be the Champion. I do hope Juan somehow makes it into the game, 'cause he's really cool. Maybe they could pull an Iris/Drayden and have each version have a different Gym Leader in Sootopolis.

Will there be any other League-related changes?
Probably major re-designs for the Elite Four/Champion chambers that make them look cooler. I don't think you will be able to fight the Elite Four in random order like in newer games.

Will Scott make a return? If so, what as?
If the Battle Frontier makes a return, so will Scott. Simple as that.

What will Rayquaza's role in the story be?
To hang out in the Sky Pillar for you to catch after the main story.

Will Generation IV - VI Pokemon be available in the wild?
Some of them might become available post-game in new Safari Zone areas and/or Swarms. Also, Hoenn Pokemon that can evolve/ breed into Gen IV Pokemon will probably be able to do so once you get the National Pokedex.

What new Mega Evolutions will be introduced?
Sceptile, Swampert, Latios and Latias (they have yet to be officialy revealed). Anything else would be a pleasant surprise really.

Where will the stones for the new Mega Evolutions be hidden?
Why, in locations that have nothing to do with the Pokemon in question of course!

New areas to be introduced?
Hoenn seems to be pretty filled-up already. Not much place for them to put a new city on. Maybe they could work around this by adding more secret underwater areas.

Ideas for post-game content?
Rayquaza, Latios/Latias, a legendary trio from another Generation, Battle Tower/Battle Frontier and Catching Them All!
