Berries that were unobtainable in XY?

As said in the Official XY strategy guide, there are 14 (or was it 13, I don't remember) berries that can't be obtained in XY and have to be transferred from other regions. This is what made people think that Generation VI would introduce another region. But since we have these Hoenn remakes now, do you think any of those berries will be shown here and possible to trade to XY? Are there any berries you'd like to see here?

Discuss.

After seeing the guidebook statement, I was actually quite reassured that a Hoenn remake is coming, not a new region.

Hoenn was the region which introduced different kinds of berries, we should definitely see more variety in this place.

I could see some berries obtained from Events, we already got Enigma with the Darkrai event, maybe we will get another Shaymin event with a Micle berry the last one is from 2009 in Diamond and Pearl. And Jirachi holded one in B/W and B2/W2 last year.

Yes, I believe everything that was excluded from XY - Pokemon, move tutors, and berries mostly - will return in RSE so that we can have access to everything without the need for a previous generation game (or at all since we can't transfer berries).

Yeah, this pretty much almost confirmed the RS Remakes for me. Hoenn is known for having a variety of different berries, so the 13 that can't be obtained in Kalos are most likely going to be added to the Hoenn remakes.

Yes, I actually saw that one so I'm willing to bet those berries will return in ORAS and can be tradeable to XY.

There are data for missing berries in XY; it's a guarantee that those berries will return in the remakes.

Speaking of which... I'm waiting for the return of soils on maps.

Me too. I hope they keep the seperate berry patches. Those of us who are too lazy to plant them in multiple places can use the plot around the Berry Master's home.

berries like bluk, wepear, razz and many others may reapear, I would like those berries that were only for contests also have an in game effect like the other berries that had effects in game or at least make them tradeable berries that can be exchanged for in game ítems (secret base stuff and others). about garden patches, it would be good to have a feature introduced in the remakes that allows you to know when and how berries are growing (like in diamond/Pearl/platinum). having garden patches in different places = more berries can be planted.

I always plant my berries near Mauville or Lilycove since the patches are near haha x3

Emerald was the first game that gave competitive relief to players, namely, the six heavenly EV-reset berries. Besides, the Berry system was overhauled and we got names for all the berries, and added to that was the contest factor. If anything, they should get the berries into ORAS, I would be quite disappointed if not.

Good to know I'm not the only person who did that lol :)

Exactly, considering the relevance of the berries in ruby and sapphire I'm pretty sure they'll add the missing berries in these games, and the soil spots around the whole region where awesome, I can't wait to go around gathering and planting berries to make pokèblocks with.

Berries were a huge part of RSE, and it was odd leaving some out for X and Y. I think that was Game Freak's way of hinting towards ORAS, haha. If that's the case, it would make a world of sense if the berries unobtainable in Kalos were available in the Hoenn remakes. Looking forward to seeing soft, loamy soil everywhere. :]

I did the same lol. That and planted some near Petalburg and Rustboro.

I wonder if they'll add in new berries. Or maybe reintroduce the e-reader only berries which were only in Gen III (jp).

ive already made a thread about this before and everyone started freakin out but yes i believe the other berries will be in OR and AS and especially the leichi or however you spell it berry. the one thats super hard to find lol

Rivvon May 25th, 2014 8:57 AM

I definitely think these berries will make their appearance in ORAS. It's the perfect opportunity.

If overworld soil does return (that isn't a Berry Farm like in XY), I just hope there's a map function that lets you know where they are (so I don't always forget where I've planted them!).

You just reminded me that in 4th gen games we could put marks on the map with the pokétch in D/P/Pt and the pokégear in HG/SS, now I want that feature back :(

Yes! I miss that feature so much, it would be so helpful in all the more recent games! Especially if they bring back overworld berry soil.
