The Power Plant

Hi! I'm Livewire, formerly Lance, among other less cool names. My real name is Nick, I'm 24 now, (Jesus Christ I'm old) and I'm currently still in school (ugh) and I work in a nice, local specialty grocery store here in the wonderful state of Ohio, in MURICA. Been a member of PC since 28 July 2009, modded 3 December 2010, and S-Modded 16 September 2013. I am both the current and previous moderator of Other Chat, now Discussions and Debates. I originally joined to trade for the DPPT event legends, and I was so happy after getting the event Arcues I VM'd myself in a wild fit of excitement.

Please feel free to ask me anything and everything.

Nah May 24th, 2014 5:04 AM

Only thing I can think of right now is: What are you in school for?

I've VM'd myself by accident....5 times.

Do you like cats or dogs? If you like dogs, what's your favorite breed(s)? If you like cats, what do you think is the best look for one (fur color/length, eye colour(s), whiskers, size, gender, etc)?

What's your favorite food? :3

What kind of stuff do they sell at your grocer?

How old were you when you got into Pokémon, and what brought you into it?

Pinkie-Dawn February 25th, 2015 7:50 PM

What are your thoughts on the current development of Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice?

Who do you think is more likely to become the next president of the United States?

Do you find Electivire underrated?

I like both cats and dogs, I had both growing up and would like to have both again once I have my own place. I prefer larger dogs, Golden Retrievers have always been the family dog, and I prefer having a boy dog to a girl, same for cats. When it comes to cats, I like tabby and tiger breeds. I would totally kill for a bengal cat, they look so cool.

My favorite food is a toss up between steak and sushi, there's no way I could pick. As for my grocer, we do a lot of organics, non-gmo's, all natural/gluten free/vegan stuff. Think whole foods, except locally owned and operated.

Definitely got into Pokemon in '98 with Red and Blue and my Teal colored Game Boy Color I got for Christmas that year. Not sure what drew me to it, but it was the "thing" at the time. The rest is history.

1. THEY BETTER NOT FUCK IT UP
2. Hilary has the infrastructure, pedigree, and Obama's grassroots fundraising team and his precinct captains ready for 2016. Assuming Walker or Jeb Bush is the GOP nominee, she won't really face much of a challenge I don't think. Walker is a Tea Party demagogue and Bush is just that, a Bush. Remind the country of what his father and brother did and it will be like shooting fish in a barrel for the Democrats.
3. I do! It's one of my favorite Pokemons. It has a highly situational niche, but has a good move set and can bail out your water types and power up a bit if you can predict and switch correctly.

What is your biggest fear?

If you and I would go on a date, where would you take me?

Charlie Brown March 4th, 2015 5:16 PM

What do you hope to do after graduating? (wooo politics majors unite!)

Is Finnick your favourite character from The Hunger Games?

1. Probably a toss up between not amounting to anything or being alone.
2. Hmmm, probably a nice restaurant and I'd show you around the city, hit up the local music/club/bar scene a bit. Blend the urban and rural a bit? :D Like, I'd try to be outside as much as possible, if the weather is nice. Because when it's nice here it's awesome.

I'd like to get into sales or marketing in some capacity. Some kind of business discipline.

He is! I feel he's one of the better written characters, and one I identified with. There's more to Finnick than "looks" or the reader's preconceived notion of how someone like him should look, act, etc. Not all of us pretty boys are dumb, shallow or vain. :p

Hi!

How do you feel about organic foods? Do you purchase them ever? If not, what deters you from choosing non-organic over organic choices?

Do you feel any affinity to any religion? Were you born into a family that had any religious beliefs, and (in either case) how do you think this affected your current state? If you're agnostic, what are your concerns about a higher power that impedes on you choosing a specific religion to follow? If you're an atheist, what are your main reasons for not believing in a higher power? Is your decision in any way based on media reports, scandals, phobias, etc. or are they purely because that's who you are?

Who's your favourite PC member!

pkmin3033 March 6th, 2015 11:30 PM

Hmmm...

Which area of history is of particular interest to you, and why?~

What's your political stance?

Do you still have the Event Legendaries you joined the forum for, and if you do, do you use them in your games?

Where do you see yourself 5 years from now?

I love organics, I think it's great for the environment and local economies, but I don't go out of my way to eat organic, haha.

I don't have particular religious affiliations, but I would consider myself spiritual. Organized religion never really took hold of me, and my parents and brothers are kind of the same way. Maybe that's from the private catholic school education I got in elementary and junior high school, haha.

Favorite PC member? I don't think I could really choose, but probably Twilightblade or Fairy, or antemortem

1. American History, colonial through civil war, Medievel European History, and Ancient World History I think.
2. Left of center, pretty progressive and liberal on most issues.
3. Haha no, I wish I did. I got rid of all my games awhile back. :(
4. Hopefully married with a nice job, maybe a kid or two. (I would be 30, holy fuck)

I would totally play the electric guitar! I used to know how to play acoustic guitar on account of music classes in school but that was forever ago and I've forgotten since then. :( Be in my rock band once I learn how to play ok

If I had to choose, it would be Tai & Agumon first and foremost, with TK and Patamon in a very, very close second. I always loved their crests and what they stand for, and I thought Wargreymon & Magnaangemon were the two coolest/strongest digimons out of the bunch. Matt and Gabumon would be right behind in third place.

Originally, it was Live_wire466, because A, I was a huge noob, and B, Elective was my favorite Pokemon and its dex number was 466, haha. Livewire was a much better revision.

If you could go to any point in the future, which point would you go to? Why?

Sanguine March 13th, 2015 10:44 PM

Are you one of the half that loved Man of Steel, or one of the other half that find it too grim and pooptier?

Would you become Superman if you had the opportunity?

Do you have a favourite author?

Skip Class March 14th, 2015 2:14 AM

You've probably been asked this before one way or another xD But how do you like:

Also if you were to go back in time and tell something/give some advice to the 2009 you who just signed up to PC, what would you tell him?

That's a pretty good question. I might go forward in time to when I would forseeably die so I'd know exactly how much time I have left? Or I'd go to me getting married and I'd talk myself out of it

1. I loved Man of Steel! It's hard to make movies on cultural icons without pissing people off, haha. It was a good first start in a DC shared Universe.
2. I totally would. I would love to fly. The other perks would be nice too, haha.
3. I've always been a fan of J.K. Rowling and Harry Potter. I read a ton of books as a kid but HP stood above the others for me. With maybe the exception of J.R.R Tolkien. You don't have a J.K. Rowling or a George R.R. Martin without Tolkien and LOTR first.

I LOVE THAT MOUNTAIN DEW IT'S MY FAVE

I would tell myself to not include numbers in my username and I would also tell earlier me to take a bit of a chill-pill when it came to PC.

You've always been fun to talk to when we have chatted in the past, do you think you're a fun person to be around in general?

What would you say is your best feature?

Would you call yourself a modest person?

Pepsi or coke?

I would say so, like if i'm with some of my good friends or people I feel I can "cut loose" with then I would say I'm pretty fun to be around. I get invited to a good amount of parties at school and meet people pretty easily so I'd say so.

Best feature? My viridian green eyes babe ;D

Quote:

If the situation calls for it, then yeah. I give credit where it's due, so if I'm in a group project and another member does most of the work for us and we get a good grade, I'm going to make sure they get credit for it. If I did most of the work, then I would like to get my credit. So maybe in a University or professional setting I would be, but if its not in a serious setting then I probably wouldn't be as modest. I can be loud and sarcastic at times I guess? I'm not modest but I'm also not super extravagant either, personality or temperament wise.

Quote:

Pepsi or coke?
I actually will drink both, but original coke from a glass bottle is the bombbbbb

maccrash March 21st, 2015 11:05 AM

in a social setting, are you the kind of person who's more inclined to approach somebody or are you gonna let yourself be approached?

also you like Boards of Canada right? if I'm remembering correctly. if so, that's bitchin'.

GreyBidoof March 23rd, 2015 5:00 PM

What's it like s-modding Discussions and Debates?

Do you enjoy living in Ohio, or would you rather be somewhere else?
