Yes, beds are so comfy when you're sleepy makes you sleep in 1 min. Or...is that just me? :P

moon June 21st, 2014 1:04 AM

Mnope, sometimes I can't sleep properly for a whole night. I blame the full moon.

I'm secretly a werewolf

Oryx June 21st, 2014 1:28 AM

I'm exhausted but I'm trying to see if I can get my air mattress a bit more firm before I go back to sleep. Not sure it's worth it though cause sooo tired.

Shining Raichu June 21st, 2014 2:15 AM

Just sleep wherever you can but omg I'm so excited for you starting your fancy new life!

Legendary Silke June 21st, 2014 5:09 AM

I hate it when I stay up for so late... in bed... that I end up hearing birds chirping. No more sleep! Until you wrap yourself up even more than a Swadloon, that is.

Alexander Nicholi June 21st, 2014 5:55 AM

Stayed up for 36 hours, slept from 3 to 6, got up for a few hours, slept again, got up at 7:30 AM like a boss.

I can't stand comforters and thick blankets at all ever except in the winter. I must be cool enough in the summer, spring, and fall, so I bought this white woven blanket that breathes nicely at the store and use a single pillow and am a happy camper. :)

Oh god I hate that yeah. As soon as you realize it's not your ears ringing, it's the early birds chirping, you're doomed.

Tsutarja June 21st, 2014 7:55 AM

Well speaking of birds and sleep, I was awakened by a woodpecker knocking on my house by my room. No joke.

Legendary Silke June 21st, 2014 8:36 AM

I believe Snivy are weak to birds. :P

Er... Flying-type Pokémon.

Alexander Nicholi June 21st, 2014 8:46 AM

You people in your temperate climates… the only nuisance that'd ever be in your window here would be locusts, add your normal wasps, moths, and flies.

Most of our birds are black, which says something about our environment. Oh, and we have prairie dogs burrowed next to our railroad. They like to bark at me when I walk to the store. :p

moon June 21st, 2014 8:49 AM

I don't have dangerous animals, tornadoes, earthquakes, tsunamis or diseases here. I win.

You live in a lie. No. You don't win. You never win with any location.

Oryx June 21st, 2014 3:21 PM

My new bed got delivered!!

Tsutarja June 21st, 2014 3:30 PM

I honestly need a new bed. I've been sleeping on the same bed (not mattresses) since I was 4 years old, and I surprising still fit on it.

Sonata June 21st, 2014 5:09 PM

Beds suck. The couch is where it is. That's why I'm the best guy to have over I never ask for a bed or blankets/sheets.

This used to be my daily life before I started looking for a job. I literally spend the first 8 hours after I wake up and eat breakfast searching for a job.

Alexander Nicholi June 21st, 2014 5:55 PM

I'm happy with my springless floor mattress. It's just soft enough for my back and nothing more.

The main things that occupy my time are PC, LTT, Photoshop/Illustrator (good for killing time), and toying with my server. I've been trying to incorporate EGC into my routine as PC gets monotonous every week or so, and with my web server I had the joy of moving my public HTML around from /home into /srv, and writing up HTML to go with that. Oh, and I also created an image repo on PokéSphere where I'm starting to host my image files on, as opposed to using Twiggy's TwigZone.

Basically I sit around all day on my bed doing whatever the hell I want on my PC, as well as blowing money on junk at 7/11 and loving up my cat because he's the cutest damn thing on the planet

Unless your couch is super soft and long/wide enough to fit a body on, I can't imagine sleeping for a full duration of a night's rest while feeling comfortable on a couch.

Treecko June 21st, 2014 8:24 PM

Eh, I've fallen alseep on my couch and woken up many hours later before. Though my couch is a decently cozy leather couch and I probably was just really tired.

Wow, my mom totally freaked out because I threw away a piece of furniture she claimed was an antique Chinese bureau.

First off, there was no obvious indication on the furniture itself that it was chinese, so I don't know if she's was lying or if she was genuinely duped in believing it was made by chinese.

Second, who cares? It was sitting around doing and holding nothing. I have no need for two bureaus, so if you didn't want me to throw it away, you shouldn't have given it to me in the first place.

I also like her rebuttal to this when I pointed it out to her. She claims my wife might need it. What wife? I'm single and chances are if I ever decide to have a lapse in judgement and get married one day, my wife will come with a bureau of her own and we'd just end up getting rid of it anyway.

She then brought up value. It was broken. Yeah, it could be repaired, but repairs would more likely cost more than what the bureau was actually worth these days. Look, I don't care how much you spent on it. Furniture is only worth as much as what people are willing to spend for it. I know for a fact that even if I kept it around, I would just end up selling it for a pittance at a garage sale one day anyway, so I cut out the middleman.

My mom finally calmed down after I explained to her at least I kept the other bureau, so she counted her losses and moved on, but goddamn. It's was boring looking bureau. Apparently that was enough to make her go ape♥♥♥♥.

Further proof you get lame and gullible the older you get.

Alexander Nicholi June 21st, 2014 8:54 PM

I don't mind the couch at all, if I'm over and not at home. Keep my laptop and cooler right at my head and foot, go to sleep, wake up, whatever.

I think what everybody meant to say was "that's awesome Oryx I'm so excited for you starting a brand new life with a brand new bed!"

Beds: Some people just can't live without them.

*hosts a Bed Attainment Ceremony for Oryx*

Sir Codin June 21st, 2014 9:21 PM

I don't know, I've slept without a bed sometimes.

But yeah, happy birthday of the bed, Oryx.

moon June 22nd, 2014 1:21 AM

Happy bedday!

I share a 2 meter bed with my boyfriend but he's othertown this summer so I have the whoooooole thing for myself. Since I'm a tiny person, I can lie in any direction in the middle of it and not reach any edge. :33
