Something is wrong with My Collesseum

When ever I save it saids error with the save file :(

~Mewtwo_Rules~ March 10th, 2005 6:06 PM

Oh... dontknow what happened. You might want to restart or get a new disk or a new gamecube. calling nintendo is not reccomended

mr.mew March 12th, 2005 5:59 PM

maybe you have a virus?but maybe,who knows?

CowDude March 18th, 2005 11:40 AM

Sorry, guys, you're both wrong. You must've turned the cube off, or pulled out the memory card when it said not to, or something like that. That's how save files get screwed up. It's nothing with the disk, memory card, or GC.

Unless he buys a REALLY dodgey Colo or GC, it's not going to be that. This isn't computers. The only console (to my knowledge) with the possibility of that happening is X Box when you transfer memory.

Nicks March 30th, 2005 4:50 PM

What ever you do, don't format your Memory Card!! :chinese:

Aaron5367 March 30th, 2005 6:05 PM

No, It couldent be a virus, The only way to get a virus on GameCube is when you go online, but its really rare... You could of also accidently steped on it/dropped it. Thats the only thing I can think of.

If it's just that game/file (This happened to me on Sonic Heroes) It's from lack of being played,so the Cube can't remember how to read that data, if it's for all games, I have no I dea what's wrong!

Ash_Pokemaster March 31st, 2005 8:32 AM

Maybe yar Memory Card is full or the Game/MC isn't from the same country, ex. The game is PAL and MC is Americal or the MC PAL and the Game american.
I hope I was helpfull.

Bio Fang April 3rd, 2005 4:54 AM

Either what everyone said, or the Memory card is dusty.

Poke April 3rd, 2005 5:43 AM

What hapenned was one of the following:

Game was shut off while saving
Disk holder was opened while saving
Memory Card was pulled out while saving

I think thats it..... it makes your file "CORRUPT" and it will be unplayable..... you have to start all over again

Nicks April 15th, 2005 6:03 AM

maybe because you inserted a differnt memory card

Stouph April 28th, 2005 9:20 AM

Maybe your memory card was exposed to a magnetic field of some sort... that could possibly damage the data on file...

SBaby May 3rd, 2005 1:56 PM

I've never had a problem with the memory card. Maybe you just got a defective one.

Mew_3 May 3rd, 2005 2:53 PM

*rolls eyes* You probaly have too much memory in your file or maybe your disc was scrached and got messed up in some way. There are many reasons, but there is no way you could of have a virus in your GameCube, unless your're playing online....

Jash Ibanez May 4th, 2005 5:25 PM

Maybe you forgot to put the memory where it should be XP or you took it off while saving, try removing it and insert it again, or insert it on slot 2 XP, or maybe your memory has no more blocks available because remember that the coleseum occupies like 49 blocks XP

Stouph May 4th, 2005 8:40 PM

I don't think you can start a game if you don't have 49 free memory blocks available... so running out of space isn't really possible. Well I don't think it is...

Maybe when you were saving there was a power surge in your neighborhood and it messed up your memory card....

kez May 5th, 2005 10:16 AM

Colosseum requires a full memory card of memory to save, if you are using a memory card with other saves on, that might be the reason.

mizu-dragon May 5th, 2005 2:19 PM

I don't know if this will help at all, but sometimes that happens to my Game Paks. When it does, I remove the Game Pak from the GBA, blow into the Game Pak to removed any dust, and do the same to the GBA's slot. Then I stick it back in. Works every time.

Mine was weird too for a while, I was playing for like three hours and I was on Mt. Battle (story mode) and all of the sudden it froze and went BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. Yeah. Don't contact Nintendo unless you are desperate. It can be hard to get a straight answer O.o

um maybe u have to star over the full game and the memory may get erased if that happens

nicoleb May 21st, 2005 7:39 PM

How often do you play it? The Game Cube might have forgotten the memory for the game.

Eon-Rider May 21st, 2005 7:45 PM

I think you should start over again. There probably is no other way.

Happy Dude May 27th, 2005 3:22 AM

Yeah what Coolmaster said.

Or i would exchange it but if you are really desperate you should contact nintendo.

Da Schwarz June 19th, 2005 8:47 PM

this happened to me, because i accidentally dropped it, it destroyed the data on it but the memory card is fine now
