Pokebank users help!

My team is in desperate need of a stealth rock user however I do not want to switch out any of my pokemon. The only pokemon on my team that can use rocks in my swampert but annoyingly there is no move tutor in this gen. Would anyone be kind enough to take my swampert and teach it rocks? pm or vm me asap!

As far as I'm aware, you can't import pokémon from the bank into older games. I might be wrong and misread something but I think you'd need to have someone get you an entirely new one?

Bank goes Gen V->Gen VI, but is not backwards compatible.

You'd need someone to breed you a Pokemon in Gen V B2W2, teach it the move, and then bring it into Gen VI. Your current Swampert will never learn Stealth Rocks.

=( why you do this to gen 6 nintendo? No move tutor or trading T_T. Wait.... if i cant trade pokemon from gen 6 to gen 5 then how did pokemon from gen 5 get to gen 6? I'm totally confused now.

People with BW/B2W2 use the PokeTransporter to send Pokemon from Gen V to PokeBank. PokeTransporter alerts the user that any Pokemon sent can never return to the game from which it came.

Then you use PokeBank to bring those Pokemon to Gen VI.

Pokebank cannot use PokeTransporter to send even those same Pokemon back to Gen V, though. It's a compatibility issue with movesets, etc. and also an issue for VGC, since Kalos-Born is only permitted which limits the movesets once available in Gen V. It'd create a balancing issue based on new mechanics to have Move Tutor moves from Gen V on Kalos-Born Gen VI Pokemon.

So Eevee with Hyper Voice, for example, isn't legal in Gen VI VGC due to never being capable of being KB. Backwards-compatibility would allow you to send KB Pokemon to Gen V and back to Gen VI after learning moves like Hyper Voice, thus messing up the VGC a bit.

It just can't be done, bottom line :( Someone'll need to trade you a brand new, non-KB Swampert.

Yeah, Belldandy got it pretty thoroughly. Pokemon can go from Fifth gen games, through transporter, into a box in bank. They cannot however, be sent from bank back through transporter, into any fifth gen game.

I can tell you though, that with 99% certainty there will be move Tutors in OR/AS, for your Swarmpert to get Stealth Rocks taught to it. But right now, that' can't really happen. Sorry mate.

You can however get a different Pokemon with Stealth Rocks. There are tons of Pokes that can learn Stealth Rocks through breeding.

I have a few here:

Swinub: Icicle Crash, Freeze-Dry, Avalanche, Stealth Rock
Skarmory: Curse, Stealth Rock, Whirlwind, Brave Bird
Larvitar: Bite, Leer, Outrage, Stealth Rock
Aron: Tackle, Harden, Superpower, Stealth Rock

Let me know if you want one of them.

Yes, I feel you there. When I was breeding my Mudkip, I was trying to find if he could learn Stealth Rocks and I learned that only Gen 5 was able to do so through Move Tutor. Hopefully they implement a Move Tutor in ORAS with Stealth Rocks being that there is Mega Swampert now.
