252+ SpA Choice Specs Magnezone Flash Cannon/Hidden Power Fire vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Stunfisk: 108-128 (25.5 - 30.3%) -- 0.8% chance to 4HKO after Leftovers recovery

So, Stunfisk :O

Gliscor @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 244 HP / 192 SpD / 72 Spe
Careful Nature
- Protect
- Roost
- Toxic
- Earthquake

One of the prime annoyances in OU, Sdef Gliscor makes Stunfisk have Scald as its only way to retaliate, only to be Toxicstalled to death.

0 SpA Stunfisk Scald vs. 244 HP / 192+ SpD Gliscor: 90-106 (25.5 - 30.1%) -- possible 5HKO after Poison Heal
0 Atk Gliscor Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 252 Def Stunfisk: 186-218 (44 - 51.6%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

These calcs show that Scald is sponged by Gliscor despite the weakness to water, and cannot be burned because of Poison Heal activated. Gliscor on the other hand can add some chip damage via Earthquake while Roost/Protect-stalling a badly poisoned fish to death.

The UU behemoth takes the stage!

Aggron @ Aggronite
Ability: Sturdy >>> Filter
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
- Heavy Slam
- Earthquake

Mega Aggron is a goddamn tank that takes laughable damage from Hurricane or Freeze Dry, and squishes the parakeet with Heavy Slam. And even if Articuno drags it on with sub+hurricane confusion, RestTalk is there to crush its hopes of winning by luck.

Calcs:
0 Atk Mega Aggron Heavy Slam (120 BP) vs. 6 YOUR MOM / 0 Def Articuno: 344-408 (106.8 - 126.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 SpA Articuno Hurricane vs. 248 HP / 252+ SpD Mega Aggron: 60-72 (17.4 - 20.9%) -- possible 5HKO
252 SpA Articuno Freeze Dry vs. 248 HP / 252+ SpD Mega Aggron: 38-45 (11 - 13.1%) -- possible 8HKO

Flygon can't learn Dragon Dance. Sand-Attack is frowned down upon in competitive play because it relies on luck to be successful. Why would you even use Dragon Pulse on Flygon when a resisted one coming from 80 Special Attack barely leaves a scratch on Mega Aggron?

Anyway:

Togekiss:
http://pldh.net/media/pokemon/gen6/xy-animated/468.gif
-Nasty Plot
-Dazzling Gleam
-Air Slash
-Roost
Nature: Timid
EVs: 4 Def/252 SAtk/252 Spe
Item: Life Orb
Ability: Serene Grace

Togekiss is immune to all of Flygon's offensive moves, uses Flygon as setup bait for Nasty Plot, then hits it hard with Dazzling Gleam.

Polar Spectrum August 11th, 2014 6:08 PM

Yeesh still doing the same thing.... -_- There's a polite way to suggest changes to movesets too mate, and then there's the option of not even saying anything and just playing the game. By the way, I think you can go 252, 252, and 6. Only 2 more, but they're there.

Also oh my god, whoever used Stunfisk up above

My hero

Anywho togekiss counter.

Magnezone.
-Flash Cannon
-Thunderbolt
-Metal Sound
-Hidden Power (Grass)
Nature: Modest
EVs: 252 SAtk/252 HP / 6 Def
Item: Wise Glasses
Ability: Analytic

Magnezone scoffs heartily at anything Togekiss can do, even if it carried thunder wave, magnezone is immune. 60 percent flinch chance on Air Slash is laughable at how many times you'd have to do it to even leave a scratch on magnezone, and Magnezone only needs one hit on a Togekiss lacking bulk investments. Even with Nasty Plots, Togekiss is countered.

Tyrael August 11th, 2014 6:36 PM

252+ SpA Wise Glasses Analytic Magnezone Flash Cannon vs. 212 HP / 0 SpD Golurk: 246-291 (66.1 - 78.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
252+ SpA Wise Glasses Analytic Magnezone Hidden Power Grass vs. 212 HP / 0 SpD Golurk: 248-294 (66.6 - 79%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

252+ Atk Golurk Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Magnezone: 612-724 (177.9 - 210.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Not a counter. A counter is a Pokemon that can easily avoid the 2HKO from the Pokemon in question and act accordingly. Greninja fails to do that, since it's OHKOed by Dynamic Punch and takes a large chunk from Earthquake. It's a check at best. The only gem that exists in X/Y is the Normal Gem; the others don't exist there. And what good does Substitute do for Greninja?

Anyway:
Sylveon:

-Hyper Voice
-Shadow Ball
-Psyshock
-Hidden Power (Ground)

LOL flash cannon ferro I'm dying XD

Goodra @ Assault Vest
Ability: Sap Sipper
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpA / 8 SpD
Modest Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Fire Blast
- Sludge Bomb
- Thunderbolt

Power Whip is absorbed via Sap Sipper, Fire Blast undeniably OHKO's, and Ferrothorn's Flash Cannon damage makes its user quit pokemon.
0 SpA Ferrothorn Flash Cannon vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Assault Vest Goodra: 25-31 (6.5 - 8%) -- possibly the worst move ever

---------------------------
Also about the "counter" to the mega aggron I posted, I can't help but react:

Lol your Flygon can't even reliably 4HKO Mega Aggron.
4 Atk Flygon Earthquake vs. 248 HP / 8 Def Filter Mega Aggron: 76-91 (22.1 - 26.5%) -- 20% chance to 4HKO

Meanwhile, 0 Atk Mega Aggron Heavy Slam (100 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0- Def Flygon: 193-228 (64.1 - 75.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

How is this even called countering? Word of advice, please check via calcs whether the thing you're suggesting is even viable enough to be a counter.

Salamence @ Life Orb
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Ability: Moxie
Nature : Jolly
~ Dragon Dance
~ Dragon Claw
~ Earthquake
~ Fire Fang

252 Atk Life Orb Salamence Dragon Claw vs. 248 HP / 0 Def Goodra: 468-554 (122.1 - 144.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO
-2 252+ SpA Goodra Draco Meteor vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Salamence: 252-296 (76.1 - 89.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Whatever you do, don't switch it in on an incoming Draco Meteor. Easily outspeeds and OHKO's w/ Dragon Claw.
Can also easily avenge kill the Goodra and maybe even set up a Dragon Dance if at -2 from a previous Draco Meteor; and getting that +1 attk form the Moxie!

252 Atk Mega Abomasnow Wood Hammer vs. +1 252 HP / 252+ Def Swampert: 408-484 (100.9 - 119.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO
+1 4 Atk Swampert Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Mega Abomasnow: 84-99 (26.1 - 30.8%) -- guaranteed 4HKO

Mega Abomasnow doesn't care about anything Swampert uses, even Curse, and OHKOes with Wood Hammer even at +1.

Professor_Jared August 13th, 2014 8:06 AM

Well my Swampert set tends to be a stall defensive set most of the time, which is why I tend to forgo Waterfall when it comes to the fourth move slot. Anyways:

[email protected] Band

252+ SpA Mega Abomasnow Blizzard vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Scizor: 120-141 (34.8 - 40.9%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after hail damage

252+ Atk Choice Band Technician Scizor Bug Bite vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Mega Abomasnow: 464-548 (120.8 - 142.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Shipper's set calculations

244 Atk Mega Abomasnow Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Scizor: 110-130 (31.9 - 37.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after hail damage

252+ Atk Choice Band Technician Scizor Bullet Punch vs. 0 HP / 0- Def Mega Abomasnow: 344-408 (107.1 - 127.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252+ Atk Choice Band Technician Scizor Bug Bite vs. 0 HP / 0- Def Mega Abomasnow: 518-612 (161.3 - 190.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252+ Atk Choice Band Scizor Superpower vs. 0 HP / 0- Def Mega Abomasnow: 460-542 (143.3 - 168.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Scizor easily survives the switch-in on Blizzard or Earthquake, and makes Mega Abomasnow's life a living hell on the next turn by mercilessly OHKOing it with Bug Bite, Bullet Punch, or Superpower.
