Piplup, Mudkip or Totodile?

Which one do you choose among of this 3?

curiousnathan August 2nd, 2014 6:12 PM

Going to move this into Pokemon Voting Polls.

Cheers!

Mawa August 2nd, 2014 6:36 PM

Totodile!! He's probably my favorite Starter of all time :)

moon August 3rd, 2014 12:47 AM

Piplup :3 Mostly because I like its evolutions more than the other ones. I've used Mudkip (and Swampert) the most though, and Totodile itself has the best design imo. But Prinplup and Empoleon, I like better than the evolutions of the others.

Apollo August 3rd, 2014 5:03 AM

Mudkip. I love how he's portrayed in the anime and other media, he's cute, and not to mention his evolutions rock too!

Kikaito plush August 3rd, 2014 5:36 AM

Totodile as it's an crocodile which is cooler than an mudfish or penguin.

Alfieri August 3rd, 2014 5:59 AM

I'd go for Mudkip since it's evolution is more useful for battling.

XtinaIsMeLuvinWWE August 3rd, 2014 6:02 AM

I'm ruling Mudkip out cause I've never used it and don't overly like it so between Totodile and Piplup... I'm going with...

Totodile :)

As cute as Piplup is, I was a wee bit disappointed with Empoleon and consequently didn't use it the whole way through my game whereas I used Totodile the whole time in Silver, so I have more of an attachment to the Feraligatr line :)

bobandbill August 3rd, 2014 6:12 AM

Totodile. In part because of nostalgia - it was my first ever Pokemon, and I liked its design the best from the Johto starters.

Then it's Mudkip, because I also liked the little guy before it became cool. Piplup I like less - I don't mind penguins at all, but how it turned out in the end was a bit underwhelming for myself. And its cuteness didn't quite appeal to me like other Pokemon.

KorpiklaaniVodka August 3rd, 2014 6:16 AM

Totodile, because Feraligatr is my second favorite Water-type Pokemon and because he kicks butt in UU/OU with rain support. Also, Mudkip and Piplup (especially Mudkip) are overrated.

Bellsprout August 3rd, 2014 2:25 PM

Out of these three I have to say Piplup. Totodile and Mudkip never stood out to me. On the other hand Piplup which later becomes Empoleon was really useful to me throughout generation 4. I ended up using empoleon so much through each replay that it really grew on me.

Trick 'r Treat August 3rd, 2014 2:45 PM

I love both Mudkip & Totodile because i love their whole evolution line. I never liked Piplups evolution line because I personally didn't find much to them.

Pendraflare August 3rd, 2014 3:24 PM

Tough question, but I think Mudkip has the design I like the most, I don't care for Piplup much and while Totodile and its evolutions have cool stuff going for them I think Mudkip's look less weird, and the Ground-typing is alright. Although I will give Piplup credit for becoming a Steel-type last stage, which is good.

Imperator161 August 3rd, 2014 3:30 PM

Of those, Totodile. I have so many great memories of my Totodile from Gold. I've enjoyed using the others as well, but I never got as attached to them.

Firox August 3rd, 2014 7:14 PM

Out of the 3, I would more than likely use Mudkip the most. Totodile is sort of in between (via it's design), and just really dislike Piplup's design.

Pepperton August 3rd, 2014 7:23 PM

They're all adorable, hnng ;o; I think I'm going to go with Mudkip, because it's face is so adorable and its evolutions are amazing and extremely useful in-game and competitively. Not to say the other two aren't, but Mudkip line even more so o/

Racket August 3rd, 2014 7:32 PM

My vote goes out to Totodile who in general is my favorite starter. Who wouldn't love a cute little alligator. Even in the manga, I was rooting for silver all the way through.

Yato August 3rd, 2014 8:02 PM

It's really hard for me, haha ;; Totodile's my favorite Water starter, and I have many fond memories of it and its evos. Plus, it has a really awesome Hidden Ability; the only downside is it's unavailable x_x Mudkip is also pretty awesome and has served me well in RSE. Piplup I don't like until it becomes Empoleon; Empoleon I find pretty badass, plus I love its typing a lot. That being said, I think I'm gonna have to go with the cute water crocodile :3b

Brendino August 4th, 2014 11:43 PM

Considering how little I was expecting out of Piplup when I first picked it, I was quite pleased with Empoleon and its typing. It swept through 80% of the Elite Four on my first playthrough of Platinum, and it quickly became one of my top 3 favorite starters.

I don't mind Mudkip or Totodile, but neither of them stood out to me quite like Piplup (and later Empoleon) did.

ShivaDF August 6th, 2014 3:46 PM

Piplup was my first ever pokemon, so I'm a bit biased. Empoleon is an awesome pokemon in my opinion, I love its design, its power, even its cry. Best. Water Starter. Ever.

Why didn't you include Froakie, by the way?

orangeralts21 August 7th, 2014 7:44 AM

I'm not going to lie, I have only ever used Totodile twice in my Gen 2 gaming.

My vote goes to Mudkip because Gen 3 4 lyfe :P
I don't have a lot of Gen 4 Experience either

aurevesque August 7th, 2014 8:01 AM

Piplup was a disappointment to me. As well as Empoleon.

I never really liked Totodile, although it is pretty intimidating.

I adore Mudkip and Swampert! They are just so cute, and I fell in love with that generation!

Sheep August 10th, 2014 1:42 PM

TOTODILE without a doubt. Now if you put Squirtle here I'd be having a hard time choosing but Piplup and Mudkip aren't my favorites even if the 'lil penguin is pretty cute. Nothing compares to Toto. <3

NKeros August 11th, 2014 3:49 PM

Mudkip is my answer, since I always like grd/wtr type because it can beat electric type easier than the other two imo.

Hiatus August 27th, 2014 6:06 PM

It's got to be Mudkip for me, for sure. It's a Hoenn starter, so I'm a little biased on that (considering that it's one of my all-time favorite regions and whatnot), and it also evolves into Swampert in its final stage--a Pokémon that I absolutely love. It might look a little funky design-wise, which I'm personally not to bothered by, but competitively, it's simply great. It's a wall, and could stall your opponents indefinitely.

My second choice is Piplup. I'm personally not too fond of its evolution, but Piplup itself is amazingly adorable. If Pokémon had existed in real life, I would definitely consider having it as a pet.
