Requesting breeding help.

This may come off as begging, but I'm just trying to move forward in the game so I can get a better understanding of it because I never did IV breeding/swapping. Reading a tutorial and actually doing it yourself are obviously very different. I really need someone's ditto safari so I can make hatching much easier for myself; I've tried farming regular ditto's and the IV's are just TERRIBLE in comparison to having an automatic 2 perfect IV's right off the bat. I'm not expecting anyone to just hand me over a perfect 6 IV Ditto, but it's depressing when I can't even hunt for the right ditto myself. I could hypothetically get pairs from various types of Pokémon, but that's a lot more tedious than having one or two Ditto's in comparison and I honestly try to keep as few Pokémon in my boxes as possible unless I intend on using them regularly (I know, I catch them all and tell them to skedaddle!)

Can any of you please help? I DID look at the friend request sticky up top, but it appears that a majority (if not all) of the ditto safari owners are no longer active on this forum with the exception of one, and he's been off for a week for personal reasons, so that could be awhile I'm assuming.

You don't necessarily need a perfect Ditto (and I can easily trade you one), but there are ways of obtaining Pokemon with good stats:
  • All Pokemon caught in the Friend Safari are guaranteed at least two perfect IVs.
  • All Pokemon caught in a Pokeradar chain of over 40 are guaranteed at least 3 perfect IVs (Ditto is in Pokemon Village, which is an easy area to chain in).
  • Korrina's Lucario has perfect IVs in specific stats as well. Check other in-game traded Pokemon at the Judge, too.
  • Wondertrading can net you some nice things other breeders don't want.
As long as you have males with 3-6 perfect IVs in your preferred egg group, you'll do just fine.

When you take the Pokemon to the IV judge in Kiloude, do mark the Pokemon regarding which stats it is perfect in. For example, this Eevee is perfect in Hp, Attack, Spatk, Spdef, and Speed. The third shape is left gray, and it would stand for Defense being imperfect.

Gather a collection of Pokemon with good stats, and when you need certain Pokemon for breeding purposes, you can search your PC by Mark. The key to breeding perfect Pokemon is to have an abundance of available breeding parents in your boxes.

Once you have a nice group of Pokemon from the Friend Safari or whatnot, click this link and follow its guide. http://www.pokecommunity.com/showthread.php?t=312140

Some good points. I've tried the wonder trader and I haven't found anything good. Most of it is trash with no good stats whatsoever.

I did get lucky in that someone I know has a friend Safari with Charmeleon, so that's ONE I can use to eventually build up.. but I unfortunately don't have many friend Safari's with anything I don't already have, and that doesn't say much considering I honestly only have like 200-something Pokémon... which as we all know isn't much at all. I currently have roughly 30 people added, and that's just not enough with how little you get from Safari's. Of those Safari's, 90% of them are Pokémon I don't care for/don't like.

I'm glad you raised a point about those markers, because I assume that's what they're there for. I was going to do something like that, but your method is much more effective (and obvious, now that I look at it).

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also - which copies can I buy of prior versions and import Pokémon into the Bank? I never played any of the previous and I'd really like to collect some other Pokémon that are an absolute hassle to get from the GTS unless I'm willing to get rid of my most valuable Pokemon.

Black, White, Black 2, and White 2 are the only previous games that will work with the Bank/Transporter, but you can transfer Pokemon from Gen 4 to Gen 5, and Pokemon from Gen 3 to Gen 4. You might also wanna check out the Trade Shops in the Trade Corner; you might find someone willing to give you some good IV pokes for next to nothing.

Are White2/Black2 better than their prior originals?

Depends on who you ask. I thought that Black/White had the better story, while Black2/White2 had a way better post-game (and move tutors).

On thing you MUST do when asking for pokemon on Wonder trade (especially for Ditto) is specify the level at 21 - 30 because everything in Friend Safari is at level 30 so anything you get that's at level 30 is much more likely to be from the Friend Safari, and if you're looking for Dittos they will definitely be from the Friend Safari (if they're from Kalos) because any ditto not from Friend Safari will be at level 48 or higher

I thought about this yesterday actually, but wasn't aware of the filters in Wonder Trade so I figured "meh, oh well". A VERY good point and I'll look into it, thank you.

There are filters in Wonder Trade?

You learn something new every day. Never seen them.

Most of the WT is either Route 2/3/22/Santalune Forest catches or babies. So specifying Lv.21-30 in the WT will cause fewer matches and, even when left wide open, sometimes there's no one available.

That explains why I didn't see them. {XD}

No worries. :)
