But yeah there's no point in avoiding staff members. If any person believes that they have higher authority or importance over someone simply because they are a staff member on a Pokémon forum, there is something distinctly wrong with their brain. PC staff are just people with regular jobs and lives who escape boredom by attempting to enjoy a forum and improve other people's enjoyment on it also.

I saw a letter on the website for the Church of Satan written by one of their higher priests, explaining that "if you're joining the church to become a priest, you're a ****ing *******".
What he means is that if you're concerned about the elevation for its own sake you ought not be joining to begin with... which struck a nerve in me then. I really like the idea behind the Church of Satan.

As far as #thepokecommunity goes, I'm active on another network for ROM hacking and have SystemNet logged in because lurking in #bulbagarden is a lot of fun, and with that I might as well idle in #tpc. I like PC, after all. :P

Twiggy, enjoy South Korea! I'm sure it'll be a lot more fun for you than it was for my mother in '99...

Okay, apparently I only half-skimmed this thread or something. I want to talk a bit more.

I've seen Geoff, and as tall as he is he's not something to be scared of. And if you know him you'd know he's not really that type to be afraid of at all either way. :b

As I've spent more and more time on the internet I've noticed a lot of people have a really bizarre automatic respect for authority, and given the culture in some places I've lived it may not just be limited to online means. Basic personal respect is something you give to everyone until they relinquish it with poor behaviour - anything more than that is earned and giving more respect to some than others for arbitrary reasons is setting the whole system you're part of up to fail. Then you get dickheads in charge who have their heads up their asses, and regular members who would do their job better than them but didn't play along, and... it's not pretty. I remember exactly that in my Army Junior ROTC regiment, and it was just awful. Everyone worth anything left the program by junior year and with that you're left to select leaders from a pool of a bunch of power players who do ROTC for pretty rank and ribbons and shoulder cords and other menial crap that wasn't what ROTC was made for.

You must be pretty tall then. :P

I remember he has a few inches on me and I'm 6' even... pictures don't lend him to be scary though, you're right about that.

i'm 6'8 last i checked lmao...

Whoa, that's pretty cool. I've always been a little jelly of those taller than me, but then again I can be really intimidating so maybe it's for the best I'm not taller lol

Fun-sized!

I actually don't know how tall I am right now... probably around 1.86m? Maybe? (6.1ft)

Her December 21st, 2014 1:39 PM

i don't recall a time where i wasn't the tallest out of my year or friend group or w/e
and once i hit 13 i was taller than most adults lmao.....

£ December 21st, 2014 1:48 PM

I'm perfectly fine with being 9 inches further away from hitting my head on all kinds of things than you, Aphrodite. :)

The door frames in my house are like 6'5-6'6 so I can't imagine it'd be enjoyable to have to duck a little each time I go into a different room; not to mention going down the stairs in my house where the ceiling is low enough for even me to catch my head on a bad day!

Poki December 21st, 2014 2:17 PM

Dammit, you giants. I'm only 5'1"/154cm.

Poki December 21st, 2014 2:33 PM

Too late, chico.

Hikamaru December 21st, 2014 2:34 PM

I'm so bad at maths I can't even recall my own height... but I know that I'm a short person that's for sure.

Oryx December 21st, 2014 2:48 PM

I'm kinda tall-ish I guess, 5'8", but it doesn't bother me.

maccrash December 21st, 2014 3:15 PM

I'm eternally doomed to being in the 5'7-5'8 range. I've occupied this space for the past two years. I don't HATE it.

I'd want to be like that. I do like being short sometimes, but in some situations it would be easier to be taller.

Sir Codin December 21st, 2014 4:19 PM

My height is 6'3".

My weight is...too heavy and not getting thin fast enough.

TRIFORCE89 December 21st, 2014 5:30 PM

I am 5'10". Growing up, I was taller that others. Now, as an adult, I'm not. And two jobs now where there are some co-workers that tower over me :(

Alexander Nicholi December 21st, 2014 6:02 PM

I like being 6', but being just over 6' would be perfect for me. 6'1" to 6'3" would be great.

CarefulWetPaint December 21st, 2014 6:37 PM

You guys are huge! Im only like 6'1'' or something like that.

Judge Mandolore Shepard December 21st, 2014 7:27 PM

I admit that I hate being short. I am only 5 foot 4 inches in height. There are times I wish I was taller.

Who knows, you might get taller soon, Judge. And speaking of tall, I, being about 188 cm (approximately), sometimes have to avoid some big ceilings (in case of one of them in parking area) to avoid getting hurt. Being tall is hard sometimes, but I don't mind.

Alexander Nicholi December 21st, 2014 7:58 PM

It seems the boys here prefer being tall while the girls prefer being short. Thankfully a good number of people are happy with their height... :P

Also, I'm apparently having to put far more amperage into my earbuds than usual to get them to sound normal... maybe they're degrading. I think it's time to get a new pair.

Rainflower December 21st, 2014 9:56 PM

Seriously you guys are so tall. While me, an average Asian girl only stands at 154 cm (about 5 foot) at the age of 20. Kids below my age are 160-170ish nowadays, gosh.

Morkula December 21st, 2014 10:10 PM

I'm 6'3" and the first thing both PC members I've met (Mr Cat Dog and Mac/Cordelia) said to me upon meeting me was "Holy crap you're tall."

There was a guy in one of my classes in college that was a full head taller than me though. I'd run into him around campus sometimes and I'd have to look up to see his face. It was kind of freaky.

Also, Geoff's here, rawr scary etc.

Emboar December 21st, 2014 10:26 PM

I'm 5'10" and I'm only 13. I'm afraid that someday I will accidentally bang my head on a door frame that's a little too short.

Aisu December 21st, 2014 11:22 PM

The topic is height? I'm 5"2 and I'm damn happy, because if any of you giants approach me I'll give you a damn good kick in the shins.

Livewire December 21st, 2014 11:43 PM

I'm right at 6' but I wish I was a little taller, my younger siblings are both around 6'2 and it bothers me, haha.

Alexander Nicholi December 21st, 2014 11:53 PM

I like tall men and short women. Those ones are the best for me.

I think I'm going to have a bit of trouble finding a man that's taller than me. >:

moon December 22nd, 2014 2:57 AM

I like cats.

Fluffy cats.

Alexander Nicholi December 22nd, 2014 3:02 AM

My preference for cats are multicolour shorthairs and single colour longhairs. I remember my cat Senusret I had this beautiful long coat of a cream gold and shimmering blue eyes for an accent which was not only beautiful on its own but was a gigantic fluke in our cats' gene pool given how remote we were and that say for his eyes none of his fur phenotypes reflected anything the other felines had. It's why he was so pretty to me I guess.

moon December 22nd, 2014 3:08 AM

Okay. My cat is what you call blue, which looks smoothly gray. And long fluffy persian hair and brownish eyes. Very pretty. Much love. Wow.

Polar Spectrum December 22nd, 2014 3:30 AM

<3 Cats

there's one sleeping on me right now. It's so comfy and warm -

and who remembers this from like, 2005 or 6?

Her December 22nd, 2014 3:31 AM

one of my cats is the same breed as longcat and just as long too

she's just a younger longcat p much

It's true, your cat is amazing. However, Doge reference on a cat? Disappoint.

Actually I was in a cat café last week. I will be back with pics...

Are early 2000 flash vids back in vogue or something, cause I swear that's all you guys always post. Even if not, it made me look up some of the old stuff and the end of the world still holds up.

Except Australia, but they'll be dead soon anyway.

Ugh my mom just got an opportunity to randomly jump ship and move cross country but the woman offering to work with her is allergic to cats so she keeps saying on the phone that she'll investigate options for him. She's been trying to get me to take him since I started college and my boyfriend is allergic but he doesn't live with me so she thinks it's fine even though it's NOT. I know what this is going to turn into. I LOVE THE CAT BUT I LOVE MY BOYFRIEND MORE MOM.

Kyoe December 22nd, 2014 11:28 AM

Just ask you boyfriend about it, maybe? I don't know how bad his allergy is, but I know some people who are allergic are only really affected if the cat gets up in their face. My mother for example is allergic to them, and can develop hives from it sometimes, but had a cat for over a decade.
If he doesn't like cats or his allergy is too bad for him be near one at all, then just express to your mother what you did to us just now. She can't really force you to take the cat if you don't want to or can't.

Personally I love animals! I've been around them all my life, actually. I'm not really one to own a pet, though.

maccrash December 22nd, 2014 2:32 PM

I have four cats, but two of them pee everywhere and we cannot figure out for the life of us why they do that. it's very annoying. the other two are cool though.

Have you had them castrated or whatever it's called in English? When you surgially remove their balls/inner female parts. If you don't, they're gonna want to keep marking their territory like that.

we have (neutered for males and spayed for females by the by), but they're both male and we adopted another female cat like a year ago and it started happening very shortly thereafter so we think that may have something to do with it. but we have tried EVERYTHING and nothing WORKS so now our house vaguely smells like cat piss ))):

Alexander Nicholi December 22nd, 2014 3:02 PM

I was the cat man in middle school. We had so many cats little girls on their way to school would hold up traffic to count them. All of them were adorable, especially the new litter and the one before that. The adolescents loved frolicking in our grass we never cut. One of our cats was gay too. All the males hated him too, apparently. Probably because he tried to **** every single one of them lol

I miss our cats so much, especially Senusret and Mamacat. Mamacat was pregnant so much it was out of the ordinary for her not to have a giant swollen belly, strangely. Senusret I and II were beautiful, albeit the latter was very skiddish. We forgot to name some of our cats we had so many.

Were you able to give all of Mamacat's kittens a good home?

Every single kitten she ever had we kept, except for like two we gave away one time. That's why we had so many :P

Mark Kamill December 23rd, 2014 1:38 AM

If I could have a cat I would. Or a dog. Hell any animal would be fine, but the house is too small and my mom is allergic to fur. Or whatever endorphin is released into the air that makes her allergic.

Pendraflare December 23rd, 2014 4:56 AM

I don't want a cat or a dog. I've dealt with enough dogs following me around when we've been to other people's houses, and cats aren't very appealing to me either. So yeah, I would not want something that'd get irritating.

Shining Raichu December 23rd, 2014 6:21 AM

Then I would recommend a fish.

Lycanthropy December 23rd, 2014 7:40 AM

I do love animals, but I don't like it really when they're walking around in you house. Then you constantly have to control where they can and cannot walk around and watch over them. The only pets we've had are rabbits and chickens.
We did have a doghouse outside, but it has been converted into a sandbox in which I played a lot when I was small.

I've been in contact with him over it. This has been a long-term issue where she thinks if I just try hard enough then I can make it work, like "he's on vacation for three months in the summer so just take the cat and then spend 6 hours cleaning at the end of the summer!" even though it would never work. He's a very aggressively friendly cat and she doesn't feel like dealing with it anymore after 16 years, lol.

Yukari December 23rd, 2014 2:31 PM

Ironically enough, I'm allergic to cats and yet I own one.

Bellsprout December 23rd, 2014 2:37 PM

I once had geckos and till this day they are still the coolest pets I've ever had.
