My hair is kinda scruffy at the moment, although I haven't gotten it cut while I was away in college. But while i'm back home I think i'll end up having to get it cut before we attend our friends' holiday party next week.

I piddled myself laughing.

Due to the past 397493409234 times I dyed my hair, it got severely damaged...therefore I had to chop off my beautiful long hair. But then, short hair is the new "in" now, it'll grow back eventually.

Oh wow... thank god I never dye my hair given how messy it looks. My mother has to do it often because she's been getting grey roots in her hair and she hates it.

But if I ever need a haircut again, I'm so going for short, layered cuts again.

Let me tell you this now: that's something we ladies are gonna have to do once we start greying. Just a warning.

Oryx December 13th, 2014 7:48 PM

I don't think women have an obligation to dye their hair when they grey.......

It sort of is as a standard for feminine pulchritude, like shaving body hair or wearing bras.

I seriously side-eye anyone who believes this. That is an incredibly judgmental, closed-minded opinion. Grey hair can be just as beautiful as any other kind of hair.

I like my hair color and style. It's naturally nice and wavy towards the ends which makes me feel pretty in a lot of instances lol, especially on the same day I wash my hair. I let it dry itself so within a few hours it sits back really nicely.

I guess so.

As far as greying and hair loss go it's apparent my philosophy about that is to just push the look farther than it is into respectable bounds. Grey hair and receding hair lines up to a point just look like crap, until they're really far down or turn white. I say go ahead and put the extra effort forth into an old look if you have no choice. Women who dye their hair into older territory than younger territory show they're not afraid of getting old, and I like that.

Alexander Nicholi December 14th, 2014 10:31 AM

I've always been in a strange limbo about brunettes. I'm not really attracted to them when I try and think of my preferences and things, but most every girl I've taken a romantic liking to ends up having brown locks I rather like.

A short cut with platinum blonde hair is the best of them all, though. There's no contest with that sort of cuteness and beauty.

maccrash December 14th, 2014 10:43 AM

man I never really understood why guys would argue about which hair color is the most attractive on a girl because there are plenty of people that pull off, like, every hair color imaginable.

This is reasonable. When it comes right down to it, I'm really nitpicking more than anything - lovers of mine really only need to have hair that doesn't smell bad - hair of any color, unkempt or what, is really inconsequential, but I can't have unwashed scents in the bedroom. Yeah :/

Bellsprout December 14th, 2014 12:55 PM

I like dark hair best on a guy, but honestly anything goes for me. The only thing that really turns me off is long hair on a guy, but I'd probably get over it if I liked them.

Alexander Nicholi December 14th, 2014 1:05 PM

I have a major dig for Nordic genetics. White white skin, blonde hair, blue eyes... I envy it personally and am also really attracted to it in particular. It speaks of rarity and beauty across genders, to me. I love it.

Oryx December 14th, 2014 1:20 PM

I don't really have many requirements for how someone I like looks physically. I guess I'm lucky that way.

I've always seen physical qualities as a one-up of sorts, because they really don't play into whether I end up liking someone or not. It just makes it all the better, I think.

Karinmo December 14th, 2014 5:10 PM

Im back after like 4 months omg.
Anyways I guess ill talk about what yall were?
Looks in a person you like is always a bonus but I really think personality is the most important. Youre finding someone to spend your life with so why not make it someone who you love for their character? If theyre an ass but have a pretty face, is the relationship really even gonna last more than a few months or years with constant fights over incompatibility?

This! Guys I know are like "oh blondes are my type" and I just think "why what the hell difference does it make?" I do get the idea of physical requirements for what you're attracted to on a person, but hair colour just seems strangely arbitrary.

Alexander Nicholi December 14th, 2014 6:10 PM

I don't really look at them as requirements. Maybe others do, but as far as I can see someone I love could look like anything and I may even love them more for a lack of beauty. A genuine love embraces things like that.

Then again, a lot of times that sort of thing isn't on the table, and why not talk about what hair colour you like or what you don't, eh? I don't like brunettes. Then again I do. I have no idea, it's just a colour and at the end of the day for those you care about it's inconsequential.

Hair colour has personality. Red, black, blonde, brown - I think it's how the colour of the hair complement her clothing or skin tone. Different colours evoke different meanings so for example I "get" that bright red lipstick has a certain aesthetic, although I don't understand why.

Kyoe December 14th, 2014 6:19 PM

Eh, I think it's just more of an appearance based preference, not a solid rule.
It's not like people will refuse to date someone if they have a hair colour that they don't automatically love.

I actually don't really have a 'type' as far as I can tell... I mean, beauty can come in a lot of different ways. Why would you limit yourself to only seeing one?

Sir Codin December 15th, 2014 2:11 AM

Burnettes are always the most likely ones to be willing to try out all the weird kinky stuff with you.

You know, from what I've seen written on stolen love letters and things in high school, this kind of makes sense.

I loved going incognito back in those days. People'd think I was a creep, but I was getting not really valuable information - to others I just appeared I was chilling and I got to hear every once in a while what the gossip girls were wasting their time giving a rat's ass about. They're such horny little buggers.

Kanzler December 15th, 2014 8:38 AM

Wait do you mean going incognito like in Chrome? I don't think I understand...
