Hoopa and Volcanion Distribution
So now that Diancie's distribution date has been confirmed, when do you all speculate the other 2 legendaries will be made available?
I'm anticipating something in 2015......perhaps Hoopa first as for a tie in as to why its being distribution I have no idea. As for Volcanion, I'm guessing by the end of 2015 in conjunction with the release of Pokemon Z if such a thing is to be released? What are your thoughts on why/when etc they will be released? |
I don't really know, but 2015 is probably a good guess; bring a little interest back to X and Y after the hype of ORAS's release dies down a bit.
All I ask is that they make it a worldwide WiFi distribution and not this serial code **** we've been getting lately. |
I have a feeling that the next movie may feature either Zygarde along with the Primals, or Rayquaza, hinting at either Z or Delta Emerald. Unless they break the third version (Delta Emerald would be the third version to ORAS in this context) mascot appears in the second movie of the generation pattern that goes back to Suicune appearing in Pokémon 4Ever.
Anyways with possibly three, or even four key legends there may not be any room for an event mon. However, nearly every movie has featured an event legend with the only ones I can think of that don't being 2 (Lugia interestingly becomes one two generations later (3)) and 3. However there's a chance Jirachi could appear since Mew and Celebi popped up again. Plus this movie ties in with the remakes (by having their mascots) more so than Celebi's second movie. So maybe Hoopa will be featured in a short tying in with the 2015 movie. Volcanion will probably end the generation (maybe in a movie featuring Deoxys' return but that could also be saved for a 2017 movie) in 2016. So yeah, 2015 and 2016 sound like the dates those two will be released. |
I'm just going to go on record as guessing the Volcanion will be the next to be released many months after the release of ORAS because of how weather related it is. (It's fire AND water, so it makes sense to be released for ORAS) and I think Hoopa will be released many months after the release of Pokemon Z
|
maybe I can see these two getting released around the the time the new movie gets announced oooooor, if they decide to release pokemon z. like i'm hoping it's a normal wifi event instead of the region locked serial code thing they've been doing lately. :/

Hoopa will probably be announced and released towards the end of the ORAS cycle in a years time. And Volcanion the next year a few months after Pokemon Z to support it.
Praying to the Lord that they will be wifi events though. We can only hope |
Same here; would be great if it were wi-fi. Glad to see that these Pokémon are finally being distributed!
|
Maybe we can get Hoopa, or Volcanion in ORAS somehow? But the most obvious guess that they would me connected with the movies.
|
Hoopa will be the Movie 17 star.
Volcanion will be the Movie 18 star, maybe Movie 19 (making Zygarde the Movie 18 star). Either way, count on it. |
Now that I think about Pokemon Movies, maybe Volcanion will have something to do with an ORAS movie involving Groudon somehow. Think about it, both are kinda like mountain-y volcano lava looking pokemon, right? I don't usually predict things though, I kinda just wait and play and wait some more.

I think we will see volcanoian in ORAS

I like Volcanion in Delta Emerald and something with Heatran. But history indicates the third game never gets remade. Of course, we hope otherwise this time; it was the best-selling game in the series. |

I like all the "Z isn't confirmed, they could still do X2 and Y2" speculation, when it not only wouldn't have been named X and Y if a Z wasn't coming, but more importantly I laugh because all the "There's Hoenn remakes coming!" speculation was met with such vitriol and condescension, yet when the remakes were actually announced, all the critics went completely silent! :D

And back then, no one saw B2/W2 coming. We expected Gray. |
You Guys heard of PKHeX and Cyber Gadget correct?

Also, people expect a Z version because that's what typically happens with the games. There's only been one instance of them not making a 3rd version, and that was last gen with Black2/White2. A Z version (or some other Kalos game) is more likely than an Emerald remake because it's kinda pointless to remake Emerald when we're getting R/S remakes, and they seem to be sticking to the formula more this gen after trying to deviate from it last gen. |

1) Yes, they've ALWAYS made a 3rd version, and in the case of Black and White, they made a 3rd AND 4th version (Black 2, White 2) 2) Why would they make an Emerald remake? THAT'S where they've never done a third game in the series: The remakes of Fire Red and Leaf Green never had a Yellow version, the remakes of Heart Gold and Soul Silver never had a Crystal remake. 3) WHY would they have made Pokemon Z already? Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire came out, THEN Fire Red and leaf Green THEN Emerald. They didn't release Emerald before the remakes, so why would they release Z before teh remakes now? 4) Remember all the people that said there were clues for the Hoeen remakes and everyone ridiculed and dismissed their claims until they actually WERE announced? 5) They wouldn't have called the games X and Y if there was going to be no Z, otherwise the games would have been called Y and Z. Contrary to what people think, they don't just wake up one weekend and bang out a full pokemon game and ship it out monday, the games take a VERY long time before they're made, and they plan quite a long time in advance before they make the games, so they knew exactly what games they were going to be making before they even announced publicly when X and Y were coming out. X and Y were announced a year before it hit store shelves, Smash Brothers same deal, especially when all the pokemon games in a given generation need to be compatible with each other, they all need to be planned out to ensure compatibility. Why else would the mega evolved versions of Latios and Latias be in the current games' programming if they hadn't already planned them long before the ORAS remakes were ever announced? |
