Eon Ticket?
I have heard that the Eon ticket will be available Nov. 21 with a code, does any one know where to get this code at or how it will be obtainable?

Then assuming you streetpassed someone with the Eon ticket, all you have to do is open the Holocaster and let it load the data from streetpass, I'm guessing. Unless it loads it automatically. |
I hope that you can get it in Ireland!
I don't think I'll ever get the Eon ticket. I don't know anyone in my city that plays Pokemon and I never carry my 3DS with me so... The distribution method is kinda cool tho. You may get to meet some Pokemon fans and make new friends.

Only 15 people in London will get the original eon tickit. And then its supposed to travel the whole world via streetpass.
Sorry for copy and paste from my closed thread.
The competition to find the 15 carriers of the Eon Ticket opened today on the 13th November! You can enter here: http://www.pokemoneonticketuk.com/ The fifteen winners will receive (as well as the eon ticket) either a Nintendo 2DS Transparent Red + Pokémon Omega Ruby or a Transparent Blue + Pokémon Alpha Sapphire bundle and a Pokemon goodie bag when they arrive at their selected GAME store! They also will get to meet Junichi Masuda at a GAME store in London. Quote:
I entered earlier today and if I did win I'm going to bring my boyfriend (and give him the 2DS after the event as I think you use the 2DS to first spread the ticket), but I don't really mind if I don't win Anyone else from the UK entered? Which location did you choose? (I chose Cambridge as it is nearest to me) |
I've entered...Southampton Central is the closest station to me on that list. It's still two changes and about an hour away by train though; slightly less distance than London. But this is the most phenomenally stupid method of distribution I've seen them try yet. We're already being shafted with a week's delay, is it really necessary to deprive us of the Eon Ticket as well?
Oh sure, it's a great idea...if you're in Japan, where everyone and their pet dog has a Nintendo 3DS. The chances of actually encountering someone with this are astronomically slim, and I hope they come to their senses and distribute it properly - either in GAME stores or online via an event - in the future, as it's doubtful I'll see it otherwise. My local GAME runs a Pokemon night every Wednesday, I'll have to go to that and hope and pray beyond all reasonable expectations that someone manages to pick it up...I am really, really annoyed about this. I would have thought they'd have more common sense... The chances of winning are even less than seeing one of these tickets if you're not there on the night, but...ohoho, I'd love to win this. I'd give my mother the 2DS for Christmas probably; it's not as though I need it, and meeting Junichi Masuda would be fantastic. But I haven't won a single competition I've entered since I was eight, I've probably used up my lifetime allotment of lucky wins. xD |
If I don't win I'm literally going to be constantly on Twitter hoping someone near me who gets a ticket will use the hashtag so that I can try and Streetpass them. I'm going to be taking my XL out with me more often to try and increase my chances- if I got into my town's Game I normally get a dozen streetpasses either way. My fingers are going to be crossed all of the 20th, luckily I'm not working then so I can sit by my home phone :P I just have to hope I can get the time off work if I do win- we have a Christmas event on on the 29th so my supervisor may not be happy with me if I apply for two days off...
Hopefully they will do a serial code event for it eventually when Nintendo come to their senses. |
Barely anyone has a 3DS here and if they have one they may not even own pokemon either. This method mostly only work for really big cities or crowded countries like Japan where everyone own a 3DS.
... This is reeeeeeeeally sheisty.
I wish they just distributed it through GameStop/GAME, put a code for in the box, or just did a timed Wi-Fi Distribution event to where you can obtain it at you home. I live in Georgia, and we only have one Play! Event and it already passed and the next one isn't until late 2015 for us, the chances of me encountering somebody with the Eon Pass are extremely slim, so StreetPassing it is slim.

Heading to Disney World in January...so possibly pick something up there. I went to NYC last December and picked up tons of people; wish I could go back this year and just get it at Nintendo World. |
I'm most likely never going to see an Eon Ticket unless I take my time to travel like 3-4 hours away not including return trip to a nearby convention. It kinda sucks, really, because I'd love to have it.
I have no clue why Nintendo decided to use the hardest way to get an eon ticket, because I will have no chance to get an eon ticket if they use streetpass and this is the only way to even get Latias or Latios which is messed up.
I'm kinda confused as I've never owned a 2ds/3ds before. I'll be getting one tomorrow and pardon my ignorance but, how do i get a friend code and I live in London, how can I get the Eon ticket?
Quote:
The Eon Ticket (for the UK atleast) will be given to a random 15 people who signed up for a contest, and they'll be able to pass it to people immediately once they receive it. So basically it's a luck thing if you pick it up from someone who originally had it or had it passed to them. |
Thanks.
If someone passes to me, how will I pass it to others or does it pass on automatically? |

I have no idea how I will get the Eon Ticket. I live in a small, third world country in the Caribbean. Even if I do pass someone with a 3DS/2DS, the chances of them having ORAS is very slim. I have a better chance of running into a shiny Pokemon (without Shiny Charm etc.) than getting this. I do think the distribution method is cool, but it is not viable for every single country.
Also, because of this distribution method, it will encourage people to use PowerSaves more than ever, to get their Eon Ticket, because I am pretty sure PowerSaves will be updated to have it. I have this looming feeling that this method will be used in the future, as well. I shudder at the thought of StreetPass exclusive Pokemon. The backlash from fans might be huge. I really hope this does not become a thing. |
I live in Denver, so I might be able to pick it up from someone's street pass if I drive around the mall in the downtown area. Or maybe at Comic Con or an Anime convention or something.
I guess my prospects aren't that bad. |
I live in a small town. Looks like I won't be getting an Eon ticket :\ |

Thanks.
So I go to Westfield on Saturday (29th) and take my 3DS + OR with me? |

The winners should start being notified either today or tomorrow, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I'll be spreading it in Cambridge. |
That sucks. I dont live near those Game stores. the closest one i have is the one in Camden High Street. So how will i get one lol

So you're saying that if I live in an area where ppl don't play Pokemon P can't get the Eon ticket?
Yes, I think. They've stated that Eon ticket can only be transferred via StreetPass :(
At least this way we have a chance at getting it, I was young and didn't know better when gen 3 was out and didn't get to catch any event pokemon
I didn't know that we actually could get one of the Eon Pokemon in the game without the Eon Ticket, I thought that it was required
I am a bit concerned also. I was at the midnight party and there were quite a few ppl there but how do I know if they have the Eon ticket or not.... I got 40 streetpasses just from that night.
Fantastic, game in cardiff is only a 15 minutes from the station, so a trip to cardiff is on the cards, shame this all wasnt a year earlier though as i lived used to live really close to cribbs causeway in bristol before university
So when do the eon tickets actually get distributed from each game store, will it be the 29th as thats when the winners get it? And will it permanently be at that store after?
Stupid idea. Nintendo seem to think that everyone lives in decently large city where a majority has a 3DS and strolls around with them outside. I live in northern europe (sweden), and we don't get many events. To make matters worse, I live in a small town with just about 1,000 people.

Is it like, leaving your 3DS on sleep mode while you're at home? How can you get the Eon Flute that way? I am really curious 'cause I'm in the Philippines and there's no way for me to get one. :( |

And btw, hi kapwa Filipino* :D *Hi fellow Filipino (for nonspeakers) |

Currently, when I go online with my 3DS, I can see many passersby from many countries. So am I set to go? |
It's like getting SpotPass tags. You're connected to the internet, but instead of getting SpotPass, you'll get StreetPass tags from all over the world. And yes, you'll do some tweaking.
So…any news about where the best places to get the Eon Ticket will be in the US? I hope there's one in Indianapolis, 'cause I only live just a little over an hour north of there on US 931; having to go to Chicago would be a bit of a logistical nightmare for my family (it'd over twice as long to get there without the interstate traffic I'd need to fight to get there!)

My sister has Omega Ruby, so I'm thinking of just trading her my extra Latias for a Latios, which I don't have yet.
Maybe depending on your version, these guys will be available on GTS? |
I live near Bristol so will pass by the shop there
Hey guys, sorry if I'm the 156th person to ask this question but. Once I'm in one of those GAME stores that will be distributing the EON Ticket, how do I get it?
Wait so how do you get Eon Ticket? Do you streetpass someone with the game? If so my brother and I can street pass each other.
Japan recently had a serial code distribution for the Eon Ticket. I sure hope the US will also get other means to obtain this item. :( Here's to hoping! ^_^

Anybody In Belfast Got The Ticket? I Have Had 2 Streetpasses in like 3 months :( GAME in Belfast advised me that the Ambassador did not show up on 29th as i stood in a queue for 45 mins!! And then switched their phone line off for Black friday weekend!! Homepass is a no go as i cant root my HTC and laptop is so old its running on steam!!
Alright, I got my ticket last week when it was released at the Nintendo World Store here in NYC. Until January you can get an Eon ticket as they have a special setup where you get it just by being inside the store.
Basically what you have to do is have your Streetpass for your 3DS console on and also make sure you have obtained the Buzznav Application in your game. When you first obtain it, it will ask you if you want to turn Streetpass on for the game, and make sure you accept it. Also, it's important you have updated your copy of ORAS to the most recent update. It won't work if none of these are on. Now, if you happen to walk by someone with the eon ticket or go to a place that distributes the ticket (The only known place in the US that I know of to distribute it is the Nintendo World Store) and your 3DS is on then you should be set. Once you turn on ORAS, check your Buzznav and there should be a little mailbox icon in the corner if all went well. It will say you received information from someone and if they had the Eon Ticket, it'll notify you and you'll be able to pick it up at the Pokemon Center. The chances of walking by someone with it are slim, especially if you don't live in a big city, so it might be hard to obtain it via Streetpass. Sorry for the long wall of text xD |
Think of the new distribution method as an ARG (Alternate Reality Game), where, like how you travel over the country in Pokemon, you can travel the country IRL to get items for the game.
It's kinda cool in my opinion, would be better if I wasn't restrained by the chains of study. :( |

This is probably the craziest thing I've ever heard about... But apparently my close friend and two other people who was playing with her somehow got the Eon Ticket through streetpass.
Mind you, I live in Indonesia. The only event we had was a Mewtwo back when the Genesect Movie was aired here. So hearing this practically made me gape. I can't get it 'til vacation though, but whatever. I'll be getting one and that's more than enough for me to know. But still, Eon Ticket distribution is bad, and GF should feel bad. I mean, I never even got streetpasses around here, what am I supposed to do? If it weren't for that one random how-the-heck-did-s/he-get-one stranger who streetpassed it to her, there's absolutely no way I could get one... unless I move to another country. |
Yay! I got my Eon Ticket today in my local GAME store (Liverpool) :D
just got my eon ticket through streetpass by walking through Union station in Toronto. If anybody in the Toronto area needs it, I walk through Union station between 3:30-3:50 every day on my way to the trains when I'm done work.
So, like I asked earlier, is there anybody anywhere near Kokomo, IN, who has an Eon Ticket?
Hm, well I'm sure that there's someone around my area who has an Eon ticket, because I live in a big city and all, but I guess I just have to find them!
Today, I got the Eon Ticket at school. Which is really, really surprising considering I live in the Philippines. Pleasant little surprise, that was.

There are quite a few number of people who were super pumped to get the Eon Ticket, actually. |
I can't believe I actually picked this up without trying the first time I took my 3DS out after I got Alpha Sapphire and had to go into town. London is a long way away from here, and so is Southampton, and I wasn't expecting it to spread over here for a while, if at all. I think someone at my local GAME store must have gone to the event or something. I still think it's a terrible method of distributing something, but I did underestimate how easy it would be to get my hands on it. Now, if only it were so easy to catch Latios...
This is kinda simple in Japan they have the serial code for the distribution we don't yet so we have to wait shortly for that or maybe they won't give it to us but they better! But maybe theyll keep it going by street pass which don't like. Luckily I'm someone who already has it and is giving them out!
Managed to get my Eon ticket today when I went shopping. Came home and checked and there it was. Looks like it is spreading quickly.
I got mine Friday last week. Some people around here play the japanese version, so they got themselves a code via corocoro magazine. They've begun spreading it inofficially. I'm going to take my 3DS to uni next week, maybe I can spread it further.
I'm in Melbourne, Australia, and my friends and I went to the CBD with our 3DSes on sleep mode. We all managed to find someone with the Eon Ticket. I think that if you live in a moderately populated city and take your 3DS with you everywhere, you're bound to find an Eon Ticket. At any rate, it's not the most efficient way of distributing event Pokemon, but I think it beats the special code distributions which would always end up running out of codes the day the giveaways began.
if the streetpass works over the internet, anyone can add me and get the ticket. i managed to get it on campus the other day... idk how, i think some random highschooler was here on band day. and if you want the other latios/latias, i can trade since i dont need them anymore.
Went to Target yesterday, and I got an Eon Ticket through Streetpass and caught Latios.
I got the Eon Ticket through streetpass the day after they first became available. Spent a week soft resetting. Found a shiny latios, used 50 luxury balls, and then accidentally killed it. It’s been a week(ish) since and I’m still trying for another latios.
Guys, for those who are in the SEA region like me, and most of us, Maxsoft (aka the official distributor of Nintendo products in the SEA region) is doing another distribution on Facebook, TODAY, December 10, 2014, 5:00 PM Singapore Time.
Time now as of writing is nearing 11:00 am so yay, getting it :3 |
Still hunting for mine using Home Pass. :(
I was surprised to find I had picked one up through streetpass at my university yesterday.
Haven't gotten one yet as far as I'm aware, but I haven't checked lately either. n_n I've only been taking my 3DS with me to Walmart & to college so far though, but hopefully as I go out more once classes end, I'll have better luck of finding one. ;(
I really lucked out today, I took my 3ds with me for the whole day and street passed only two people, yet I still managed to get a eon ticket.
So you get it by basically taking your ds with you?

I got mine at the airport when I went to visit family over thanksgiving. If I can get homepass working, hopefully it will help some other people get one of their own. Unfortunately, I've had a bit of difficulty getting things set up.
Edit: If anyone else is attending the NDK costume ball on new year's eve, I will be bringing my DS with me. :) |

I went to a VGC tournament last Sunday and got my Eon Ticket over there. I ended up street passing it to someone when I went to campus on Monday. I didn't expect to get a street pass, let alone someone who plays ORAS as well.
Yesterday I got the Eon Ticket. Good thing I recharged my 3DS enough for it to work for two hours in sleep mode as otherwise I wouldn't have gotten it most likely. I only passed one person with Or/As too so I was very lucky that one person had it... Btw can you give the other's the ticket through having their FC? If so I can distribute it that way.
