Eon Ticket?

I have heard that the Eon ticket will be available Nov. 21 with a code, does any one know where to get this code at or how it will be obtainable?

Mmmmrgh, I really want to get this but distributions like this don't happen in the Philippines.

So how do people interact with others in the streetpass? Sorry if that's a "Duh" question, it's just that I don't even look at the news in streetpass hardly ever.

People don't have to do anything for streetpass other than to enable them for the selected game. So as long as your 2/3DS has its wireless function open and is in sleepmode, it should be able to exchange data with anyone who also has the feature enabled.

Then assuming you streetpassed someone with the Eon ticket, all you have to do is open the Holocaster and let it load the data from streetpass, I'm guessing. Unless it loads it automatically.

Sceptile90 November 10th, 2014 1:33 PM

I hope that you can get it in Ireland!

ilias_ November 11th, 2014 12:18 AM

I don't think I'll ever get the Eon ticket. I don't know anyone in my city that plays Pokemon and I never carry my 3DS with me so... The distribution method is kinda cool tho. You may get to meet some Pokemon fans and make new friends.

Only 15 people in London will get the original eon tickit. And then its supposed to travel the whole world via streetpass.

FlyingBeastie November 14th, 2014 9:04 AM

Sorry for copy and paste from my closed thread.

The competition to find the 15 carriers of the Eon Ticket opened today on the 13th November!
You can enter here:
http://www.pokemoneonticketuk.com/
The fifteen winners will receive (as well as the eon ticket) either a Nintendo 2DS Transparent Red + Pokémon Omega Ruby or a Transparent Blue + Pokémon Alpha Sapphire bundle and a Pokemon goodie bag when they arrive at their selected GAME store! They also will get to meet Junichi Masuda at a GAME store in London.

Quote:

Fifteen winners, each with a parent/guardian or a friend, will travel to London on launch day, staying in a hotel overnight on 28 November. The following day in London, at an exclusive launch event at the GAME store in Westfield Shopping Centre, Stratford, the attendees will meet Junichi Masuda from GAME FREAK, the producer of Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire, before being among the first in the country to receive the Eon Ticket and win a Nintendo 2DS bundle.
Entry closes on 18th November at 23:59 and winners will be notified on the 20th November.

I entered earlier today and if I did win I'm going to bring my boyfriend (and give him the 2DS after the event as I think you use the 2DS to first spread the ticket), but I don't really mind if I don't win
Anyone else from the UK entered? Which location did you choose? (I chose Cambridge as it is nearest to me)

pkmin3033 November 14th, 2014 9:11 AM

I've entered...Southampton Central is the closest station to me on that list. It's still two changes and about an hour away by train though; slightly less distance than London. But this is the most phenomenally stupid method of distribution I've seen them try yet. We're already being shafted with a week's delay, is it really necessary to deprive us of the Eon Ticket as well?

Oh sure, it's a great idea...if you're in Japan, where everyone and their pet dog has a Nintendo 3DS. The chances of actually encountering someone with this are astronomically slim, and I hope they come to their senses and distribute it properly - either in GAME stores or online via an event - in the future, as it's doubtful I'll see it otherwise.

My local GAME runs a Pokemon night every Wednesday, I'll have to go to that and hope and pray beyond all reasonable expectations that someone manages to pick it up...I am really, really annoyed about this. I would have thought they'd have more common sense...

The chances of winning are even less than seeing one of these tickets if you're not there on the night, but...ohoho, I'd love to win this. I'd give my mother the 2DS for Christmas probably; it's not as though I need it, and meeting Junichi Masuda would be fantastic. But I haven't won a single competition I've entered since I was eight, I've probably used up my lifetime allotment of lucky wins. xD

FlyingBeastie November 14th, 2014 10:36 AM

If I don't win I'm literally going to be constantly on Twitter hoping someone near me who gets a ticket will use the hashtag so that I can try and Streetpass them. I'm going to be taking my XL out with me more often to try and increase my chances- if I got into my town's Game I normally get a dozen streetpasses either way. My fingers are going to be crossed all of the 20th, luckily I'm not working then so I can sit by my home phone :P I just have to hope I can get the time off work if I do win- we have a Christmas event on on the 29th so my supervisor may not be happy with me if I apply for two days off...

Hopefully they will do a serial code event for it eventually when Nintendo come to their senses.

MarinoKadame November 14th, 2014 11:10 AM

Barely anyone has a 3DS here and if they have one they may not even own pokemon either. This method mostly only work for really big cities or crowded countries like Japan where everyone own a 3DS.

skyburial November 14th, 2014 2:15 PM

... This is reeeeeeeeally sheisty.

GhostTrainer November 14th, 2014 2:22 PM

I wish they just distributed it through GameStop/GAME, put a code for in the box, or just did a timed Wi-Fi Distribution event to where you can obtain it at you home. I live in Georgia, and we only have one Play! Event and it already passed and the next one isn't until late 2015 for us, the chances of me encountering somebody with the Eon Pass are extremely slim, so StreetPassing it is slim.

I know how you feel, I live in HK which is almost guaranteed to not have any distribution and I'm using a US 3ds. I really hope that they have a different distribution method for the eon ticket....

I'm in Georgia too so a little worried about getting it!

Heading to Disney World in January...so possibly pick something up there. I went to NYC last December and picked up tons of people; wish I could go back this year and just get it at Nintendo World.

Xela November 17th, 2014 6:10 AM

I'm most likely never going to see an Eon Ticket unless I take my time to travel like 3-4 hours away not including return trip to a nearby convention. It kinda sucks, really, because I'd love to have it.

Hermione Granger November 17th, 2014 10:11 AM

I have no clue why Nintendo decided to use the hardest way to get an eon ticket, because I will have no chance to get an eon ticket if they use streetpass and this is the only way to even get Latias or Latios which is messed up.

Vegeta™ November 18th, 2014 11:24 AM

I'm kinda confused as I've never owned a 2ds/3ds before. I'll be getting one tomorrow and pardon my ignorance but, how do i get a friend code and I live in London, how can I get the Eon ticket?

If you're referring to your own FC then you get it automatically when registering your 3DS, but if you're referring to getting someone else's then you'll have to ask for it and add it via a friends list.

The Eon Ticket (for the UK atleast) will be given to a random 15 people who signed up for a contest, and they'll be able to pass it to people immediately once they receive it. So basically it's a luck thing if you pick it up from someone who originally had it or had it passed to them.

Vegeta™ November 18th, 2014 11:41 AM

Thanks.

If someone passes to me, how will I pass it to others or does it pass on automatically?

No problem. As long as you have streetpass activated, then you will pass it to someone automatically

Psywing November 18th, 2014 12:13 PM

I have no idea how I will get the Eon Ticket. I live in a small, third world country in the Caribbean. Even if I do pass someone with a 3DS/2DS, the chances of them having ORAS is very slim. I have a better chance of running into a shiny Pokemon (without Shiny Charm etc.) than getting this. I do think the distribution method is cool, but it is not viable for every single country.
Also, because of this distribution method, it will encourage people to use PowerSaves more than ever, to get their Eon Ticket, because I am pretty sure PowerSaves will be updated to have it.
I have this looming feeling that this method will be used in the future, as well. I shudder at the thought of StreetPass exclusive Pokemon. The backlash from fans might be huge. I really hope this does not become a thing.

skyburial November 18th, 2014 1:03 PM

I live in Denver, so I might be able to pick it up from someone's street pass if I drive around the mall in the downtown area. Or maybe at Comic Con or an Anime convention or something.

I guess my prospects aren't that bad.

defeu November 18th, 2014 4:13 PM

I live in a small town. Looks like I won't be getting an Eon ticket :\

No, the 15 winners will be going to Westfield, meeting Junichi Masuda and getting the Eon ticket but it will not start being spread until the 15 winners go back to their chosen GAME store (the locations are listed) so it is best to go to one of those locations to get the ticket not Westfield itself.

EDIT: Here is a list of the 15 stores that will be starting the relay:
Belfast:
GAME, 5 Donegall Arcade,
Belfast, BT1 1PT
Birmingham:
GAME, Unit SU312, Bullring,
Birmingham, B5 4BU
Bristol:
GAME, Unit LR53, Cribbs Causeway,
Bristol, BS34 5GG
Cambridge:
GAME, Unit 47/48, Lion Yard Shopping Centre,
Cambridge, CB2 3NA
Cardiff:
GAME, 50 Grand Arcade, St. David's 2 Centre,
Cardiff, CF10 2ER
Edinburgh:
GAME, 43-45 St James Centre,
Edinburgh, EH1 3SL
Glasgow:
GAME, 43 Union Street,
Glasgow, G1 3RB
Leeds:
GAME, Unit 13 Headrow Centre,
Leeds, LS1 6JB
Liverpool:
GAME, 72 Lord Street,
Liverpool, L2 1TL
Manchester:
GAME, Unit 59, Arndale Centre,
Manchester, M4 3AB
Newcastle:
GAME, 3 Chevy Chase, Eldon Square,
Newcastle, NE1 7XP
Nottingham:
GAME, 16 Angel Row,
Nottingham, NG1 6HL
Plymouth:
GAME, Unit SU17 Drake Circus, 1 Charles Street,
Plymouth, PL1 1EA
Sheffield:
GAME, Unit 22/24, Fargate,
Sheffield, S1 1LH
Southampton:
GAME, Unit SU8, West Quay Centre,
Southampton, SO15 1QD

The actual competition has closed now, so it is best to go to one of these locations to get the eon ticket (Not Westfield as it won't be spread there!!) The winners should start being notified either today or tomorrow, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I'll be spreading it in Cambridge.

Vegeta™ November 19th, 2014 8:51 AM

That sucks. I dont live near those Game stores. the closest one i have is the one in Camden High Street. So how will i get one lol

Cambridge is the nearest one to me, but even that is around a two hour drive away... (Luckily transport between London and Cambridge is provided so I'd only need that two hour drive) I think another way to get the ticket is through mixing records with someone who has it, like in the original rse, which hopefully can be done via WiFi but I'm not sure if that is true this time. Hopefully the 15 winners are people who frequently travel around with Streetpass on, that would help it spread, but I can just see the majority of winners being around 10 years old and will never Streetpass after this event... If we can do the mixing records method I'll spread my Japanese eon ticket to people on here since I've ordered the December CoroCoro for the code and I'll use it on my Japanese AS.

Im planning on it, dont really live anywhere that people play Pokemon so Homepass is my one and only option.

janejane6178 November 22nd, 2014 12:11 AM

So you're saying that if I live in an area where ppl don't play Pokemon P can't get the Eon ticket?

Musica November 22nd, 2014 9:03 AM

Yes, I think. They've stated that Eon ticket can only be transferred via StreetPass :(

Krio November 22nd, 2014 1:38 PM

At least this way we have a chance at getting it, I was young and didn't know better when gen 3 was out and didn't get to catch any event pokemon

GhostTrainer November 22nd, 2014 1:40 PM

I didn't know that we actually could get one of the Eon Pokemon in the game without the Eon Ticket, I thought that it was required

daina_jo 89 November 23rd, 2014 12:31 AM

I am a bit concerned also. I was at the midnight party and there were quite a few ppl there but how do I know if they have the Eon ticket or not.... I got 40 streetpasses just from that night.

James169 November 23rd, 2014 7:46 AM

Fantastic, game in cardiff is only a 15 minutes from the station, so a trip to cardiff is on the cards, shame this all wasnt a year earlier though as i lived used to live really close to cribbs causeway in bristol before university

James169 November 23rd, 2014 7:49 AM

So when do the eon tickets actually get distributed from each game store, will it be the 29th as thats when the winners get it? And will it permanently be at that store after?

RetroFanatic November 23rd, 2014 8:23 PM

Stupid idea. Nintendo seem to think that everyone lives in decently large city where a majority has a 3DS and strolls around with them outside. I live in northern europe (sweden), and we don't get many events. To make matters worse, I live in a small town with just about 1,000 people.

Technically, you use your laptop/router/smartphone as a StreetPass Relay station. You get StreetPass tags worldwide from other countries utilizing StreetPass Relay. It's just called as "Home" Pass since you do it at home. You get the Eon Ticket, not the Eon Flute.

And btw, hi kapwa Filipino* :D

*Hi fellow Filipino (for nonspeakers)

...I don't get it. Do we just leave our 3DS on sleep mode with the wifi on or something? Or do we leave our 3DS/game on while connected with wifi? Do we need to tweek something with our laptop/smartphone/router?

Currently, when I go online with my 3DS, I can see many passersby from many countries. So am I set to go?

Musica November 24th, 2014 2:13 AM

It's like getting SpotPass tags. You're connected to the internet, but instead of getting SpotPass, you'll get StreetPass tags from all over the world. And yes, you'll do some tweaking.

RandomDSdevel November 24th, 2014 11:35 AM

So…any news about where the best places to get the Eon Ticket will be in the US? I hope there's one in Indianapolis, 'cause I only live just a little over an hour north of there on US 931; having to go to Chicago would be a bit of a logistical nightmare for my family (it'd over twice as long to get there without the interstate traffic I'd need to fight to get there!)

Unlike Pokemon UK website, Pokemon US page does not display the places where you could get Eon Ticket =/ I guess it would be distributed on NY event (forgot name). I hope PC people would setup home Street Pass Relays for Eon Ticket. I'd gladly do it all day if I did get that.

I like how the country that would make the best use of StreetPass got a serial distribution, maybe with the exception of Singapore or South Korea.

And here we are in 'Murica with farmland as far as the eye can see.

Anybody In Belfast Got The Ticket? I Have Had 2 Streetpasses in like 3 months :( GAME in Belfast advised me that the Ambassador did not show up on 29th as i stood in a queue for 45 mins!! And then switched their phone line off for Black friday weekend!! Homepass is a no go as i cant root my HTC and laptop is so old its running on steam!!

Dunnydude December 2nd, 2014 3:19 PM

Alright, I got my ticket last week when it was released at the Nintendo World Store here in NYC. Until January you can get an Eon ticket as they have a special setup where you get it just by being inside the store.

Basically what you have to do is have your Streetpass for your 3DS console on and also make sure you have obtained the Buzznav Application in your game. When you first obtain it, it will ask you if you want to turn Streetpass on for the game, and make sure you accept it. Also, it's important you have updated your copy of ORAS to the most recent update. It won't work if none of these are on.

Now, if you happen to walk by someone with the eon ticket or go to a place that distributes the ticket (The only known place in the US that I know of to distribute it is the Nintendo World Store) and your 3DS is on then you should be set.

Once you turn on ORAS, check your Buzznav and there should be a little mailbox icon in the corner if all went well. It will say you received information from someone and if they had the Eon Ticket, it'll notify you and you'll be able to pick it up at the Pokemon Center.
The chances of walking by someone with it are slim, especially if you don't live in a big city, so it might be hard to obtain it via Streetpass.
Sorry for the long wall of text xD

Red_wolf1998 December 3rd, 2014 2:43 AM

Think of the new distribution method as an ARG (Alternate Reality Game), where, like how you travel over the country in Pokemon, you can travel the country IRL to get items for the game.

It's kinda cool in my opinion, would be better if I wasn't restrained by the chains of study. :(

Thanks for the explanation. That was what I didn't get was how to know if I had received it. Only knew it was something to do with buzznav

Candy December 3rd, 2014 7:49 AM

This is probably the craziest thing I've ever heard about... But apparently my close friend and two other people who was playing with her somehow got the Eon Ticket through streetpass.

Mind you, I live in Indonesia. The only event we had was a Mewtwo back when the Genesect Movie was aired here. So hearing this practically made me gape.

I can't get it 'til vacation though, but whatever. I'll be getting one and that's more than enough for me to know.

But still, Eon Ticket distribution is bad, and GF should feel bad. I mean, I never even got streetpasses around here, what am I supposed to do? If it weren't for that one random how-the-heck-did-s/he-get-one stranger who streetpassed it to her, there's absolutely no way I could get one... unless I move to another country.

Yay! I got my Eon Ticket today in my local GAME store (Liverpool) :D

pyrexpyramids December 3rd, 2014 2:42 PM

just got my eon ticket through streetpass by walking through Union station in Toronto. If anybody in the Toronto area needs it, I walk through Union station between 3:30-3:50 every day on my way to the trains when I'm done work.

RandomDSdevel December 3rd, 2014 3:20 PM

So, like I asked earlier, is there anybody anywhere near Kokomo, IN, who has an Eon Ticket?

Altairis December 3rd, 2014 9:38 PM

Hm, well I'm sure that there's someone around my area who has an Eon ticket, because I live in a big city and all, but I guess I just have to find them!

Death December 4th, 2014 3:36 AM

Today, I got the Eon Ticket at school. Which is really, really surprising considering I live in the Philippines. Pleasant little surprise, that was.

From which school are you? :D I've been spreading the Eon Ticket all around Manila (and probably Muntinlupa) ever since I got it. Max Soft had a distribution of Eon Ticket codes, too. It's fairly easy to get them now via StreetPass.

CSB, so I probably got the ticket from anyone in the Taft area.

Nice. I've been around Vito Cruz since the 26th of November. I've been trying to spread them there, too. Good thing it's easier to spread them around now.

Then we have you to thank for that. So, thank you.

There are quite a few number of people who were super pumped to get the Eon Ticket, actually.

pkmin3033 December 5th, 2014 11:12 PM

I can't believe I actually picked this up without trying the first time I took my 3DS out after I got Alpha Sapphire and had to go into town. London is a long way away from here, and so is Southampton, and I wasn't expecting it to spread over here for a while, if at all. I think someone at my local GAME store must have gone to the event or something. I still think it's a terrible method of distributing something, but I did underestimate how easy it would be to get my hands on it. Now, if only it were so easy to catch Latios...

Dedenne1 December 6th, 2014 5:26 AM

This is kinda simple in Japan they have the serial code for the distribution we don't yet so we have to wait shortly for that or maybe they won't give it to us but they better! But maybe theyll keep it going by street pass which don't like. Luckily I'm someone who already has it and is giving them out!

JustAnotherIllusion December 6th, 2014 1:57 PM

Managed to get my Eon ticket today when I went shopping. Came home and checked and there it was. Looks like it is spreading quickly.

EagleVision1999 December 6th, 2014 3:16 PM

I got mine Friday last week. Some people around here play the japanese version, so they got themselves a code via corocoro magazine. They've begun spreading it inofficially. I'm going to take my 3DS to uni next week, maybe I can spread it further.

s0nido December 9th, 2014 3:51 AM

I'm in Melbourne, Australia, and my friends and I went to the CBD with our 3DSes on sleep mode. We all managed to find someone with the Eon Ticket. I think that if you live in a moderately populated city and take your 3DS with you everywhere, you're bound to find an Eon Ticket. At any rate, it's not the most efficient way of distributing event Pokemon, but I think it beats the special code distributions which would always end up running out of codes the day the giveaways began.

TheSyren December 9th, 2014 2:12 PM

if the streetpass works over the internet, anyone can add me and get the ticket. i managed to get it on campus the other day... idk how, i think some random highschooler was here on band day. and if you want the other latios/latias, i can trade since i dont need them anymore.

clbgolden December 9th, 2014 2:55 PM

Went to Target yesterday, and I got an Eon Ticket through Streetpass and caught Latios.

Bad Wolf Entity December 9th, 2014 5:50 PM

I got the Eon Ticket through streetpass the day after they first became available. Spent a week soft resetting. Found a shiny latios, used 50 luxury balls, and then accidentally killed it. It’s been a week(ish) since and I’m still trying for another latios.

Salzorrah December 9th, 2014 6:50 PM

Guys, for those who are in the SEA region like me, and most of us, Maxsoft (aka the official distributor of Nintendo products in the SEA region) is doing another distribution on Facebook, TODAY, December 10, 2014, 5:00 PM Singapore Time.

Time now as of writing is nearing 11:00 am so yay, getting it :3

Nusdogg December 10th, 2014 7:22 PM

Still hunting for mine using Home Pass. :(

Darth Arceus December 11th, 2014 5:29 PM

I was surprised to find I had picked one up through streetpass at my university yesterday.

SparklingMistral December 12th, 2014 5:48 PM

Haven't gotten one yet as far as I'm aware, but I haven't checked lately either. n_n I've only been taking my 3DS with me to Walmart & to college so far though, but hopefully as I go out more once classes end, I'll have better luck of finding one. ;(

Sebastian_Sommer December 13th, 2014 2:40 AM

I really lucked out today, I took my 3ds with me for the whole day and street passed only two people, yet I still managed to get a eon ticket.

Mesty92 December 13th, 2014 3:13 AM

So you get it by basically taking your ds with you?

Hey! I know right! I asked a gaming-dedicated store if they are going to have one but they said there might be a possibility but not any time soon. Not sure about streetpass though...I don't even know someone who has another 3ds.

I missed it. (sighs)

I thought this was a Singapore only event. Anybody from the Philippines?

Nusdogg December 13th, 2014 7:14 AM

Wooohoo!!!

Just got mine through HomePass!

Yup, 80% chance you'll get one with it on sleep mode. But first, you'll have to make sure your Street Pass and Swap Notes app are activated on your 3DS to be able to street pass with anybody. Otherwise, you can use the HomePass software to street pass with anybody on the globe using Mac Addresses that ppl used to share their's with.

Also don't forget about activating the buzz news in the pokenav in order to receive the street pass data of other players and
lifting the restriction on data sharing in your 3ds setting.

I'm guessing you're from the Philippines. If so, there are some people walking around with the Eon ticket already (I got mine around Taft avenue).

Oh okay. I don't have to pass someone with the game though right?

You don't if you are using HomePass. Otherwise, you need to, to be able to get the Eon Ticket from someone who does.

Ah alright. Thanks for the info, I hope I can get one.

Biyorne December 14th, 2014 2:00 AM

I got mine at the airport when I went to visit family over thanksgiving. If I can get homepass working, hopefully it will help some other people get one of their own. Unfortunately, I've had a bit of difficulty getting things set up.

Edit: If anyone else is attending the NDK costume ball on new year's eve, I will be bringing my DS with me. :)

Nusdogg, where do you live? I live in Minnesota as well and I'll be in the Minneapolis area this weekend if I can streetpass ya :)

Candy December 15th, 2014 10:56 PM

I went to a VGC tournament last Sunday and got my Eon Ticket over there. I ended up street passing it to someone when I went to campus on Monday. I didn't expect to get a street pass, let alone someone who plays ORAS as well.

OmegaRuby and AlphaSapphire December 16th, 2014 2:52 AM

Yesterday I got the Eon Ticket. Good thing I recharged my 3DS enough for it to work for two hours in sleep mode as otherwise I wouldn't have gotten it most likely. I only passed one person with Or/As too so I was very lucky that one person had it... Btw can you give the other's the ticket through having their FC? If so I can distribute it that way.
