Grand Theft Auto

My grandma had her car stolen this morning for the third time in a little over a year. I guess she just has bad luck haha. Let's talk a little bit about theft though. What's the most valuable thing you have ever had stolen from you?

I like the GTA games btw!

GTA FTW!

Tbh, phone theft is one of the dumbest things anyone could ever do. Most phones can so easily be tracked down immediately, not to mention they will be disconnected right away. I've never understood the need to steal phones, but that is just me

Astraea December 2nd, 2014 7:05 PM

Man I thoughts its a GTA game thread haha, well if you say stolen, I remember I had my phone stolen 3 years ago though I was in a bus and I had phone with me but when I came out of the bus at my stoppage , I lost my phone, I am sure I didn't dropped it anywhere so only thing that could have happened is that it was stolen.

the internet has stolen my innocence

Nah but I can't recall a single time where someone has stolen from me.

Honest December 2nd, 2014 11:01 PM

My father got assaulted and mugged for the iPhone 6 he had bought only two days ago yesterday afternoon. First time anything like that's happened to anyone in my family, so it was pretty scary.

DRCM December 2nd, 2014 11:25 PM

Nothing's happened to me, but about 2 years ago, my aunt's house got its windows broken and those guys took pretty much everything electronic in there, even a lightbulb. We don't even live in violent places, so it was pretty intense.

Juno December 3rd, 2014 3:16 AM

When I was like 8, I left my sunglasses in my dad's car, and someone smashed the window to get it. Someone broke into a car and all they took was a small child's sunglasses.

About 10 or so years ago, my phone was stolen.
From that time, I haven't experienced any theft.

In middle school I would ask people to borrow their pens and if the pen wrote beautifully I would hoard it in my giant pen stash. Anyway I used to brag about all these pens because I'm a douche. One day I went to grab a pen out of the stash and my hand just dropped into the bottom of the bag where I could only feel three or so pens. Literally the shock of my hand going so deep into the bag where I usually would just have to grace the top to find a pen was when I knew what had been done. To this day I still don't know who stole all those pens. Probably someone I bragged to like a douche lol.

aka nothing valuable has been stolen from me

TRIFORCE89 December 3rd, 2014 4:31 PM

Ummm.... myself XD

Someone was impersonating me online earlier this year as a way of picking up contract work (mainly, as far as I know. Maybe other things. He said he wanted to meet me, which was mighty creepy). Putting my reputation at risk. Wasn't fun.

Sir Codin December 3rd, 2014 7:35 PM

My mp3 player was stolen once about five years ago.

Luckily, he got found out and I punished him personally by setting him and his family on fire.

Someone tried to steal my Nike hoodie at school, but it didn't ****ing work.

Basically, I left it in the locker room at school during PE class, and when I went to pick my **** up - it was gone. That happened on a Friday, by the way. I wasn't able to find it then, so I just moved on with my life and went out with my friend. We bought ourselves band shirts and food. Anyway, I told my dad about it, and he talked with my PE teacher on Monday. Immediately after that, my hoodie was found. Nah, not suspicious at all. I still suspect that my poor excuse of a teacher was the one who tried to take it, because she's been a huge ***** to me ever since.

Grotesque December 6th, 2014 1:02 AM

Some thugs tried to steal our car before, but they failed (cuz they suck)

Tsutarja December 6th, 2014 12:41 PM

I've never been in situations like this at all. The absolute closest I've gotten to having belongings stolen from me is probably writing utensils, but those are nothing major and can be easily replaced.

Alice December 6th, 2014 1:07 PM

My gameboy advance with pokemon leafgreen in it. I left it on the seat at a restaurant, and when we came back 30 mins or so later, it was gone.

Altairis December 6th, 2014 3:35 PM

Someone broke into my family's house while we were gone and stole the harddrive of our desktop computer. It was really upsetting because it had all of our pictures on it, but then a couple days later it was raining and we found the harddive in our bushes. o.O

starseed galaxy auticorn December 7th, 2014 12:35 AM

At one time when I was in high school, I had my nano stolen. I told my friend to watch it for me. She only looked away for a second, and it was gone when she looked back. D: My mom thinks that she might have stolen it from me... but I don't think she would ever do something like that.

Kydeka January 4th, 2015 1:11 PM

My holographic Articuno pokemon card when I was around 6. It was my favourite holographic I had at the time and I was completely devastated haha.
Not going to lie, I still am now I have both Zapdos and Moltres and would have owned the set if not for that.

Skip Class January 4th, 2015 9:48 PM

My 2DS including basically almost all my pokemon games except for diamond. I play a lot of pokemon at university in between lecture breaks or whatnot. One day left my bag open and I was walking around and it must have fallen out - I noticed pretty quickly it was open so I'm convinced a homeless person must have stolen it as it fell outta my bag xD

Been slowly trying to buy my games all over again, but it's so expensive - especially Heart Gold ;-;

Lotus the Cat January 4th, 2015 11:06 PM

A year or so ago someone broke into our backyard through a gate and broke a latch on a door that lead under our house to steal our lawnmower, about 4L of petrol and some cheap tools.

New phones can cost up to $1000 outright and all you need to do is change the sim out and you have a nice shiny new phone. Pretty lucrative if you ask me.

Theft at homes often happens in richer suburbs that are nearby dodgier suburbs. My boss lives in a fairly affluent suburb and had his house broken into a few months back. They stole jewelry and smashed any TVs they saw because TVs generally aren't worth taking these days (too big and cheap to buy).

I bet everybody you took a pen from suddenly had it back. It's like Robin Hood, but with pens.

But personally, I think the ballpoint of the story is that theft can truly be an inky affair.

Okay, I'll go.

When I was maybe six or so, someone stole my winter coat. The best part?
It was at a thrift store.
My family didn't exactly have extra money laying around, so I honestly am not sure how they replaced it.

I also thought that this thread was about the game and was wondering why it was here.

#DickBats January 6th, 2015 7:46 PM

A former friend/classmate stole my phone. For a week I was sad, my life had no meaning. Till I went all CSI and discover that Mofo. I got my phone back, he didn't go to school for 2 weeks and I didn't even touch him.

CoffeeDrink January 8th, 2015 2:54 AM

I had a bicycle that was stolen from me when I was around 8. So far, nothing else has been stolen because I took that lesson to heart and am ever vigilant with my valuables. Someone did try to steal from me once, but he earned a concussion for his troubles.

Edit: I was robbed, so I guess the guy got away with $10 and a watch that cost me $12.

Pendraflare January 10th, 2015 8:31 PM

I can't recall anything ever having been stolen from me to the best of my recollection, thankfully. My valuables don't leave my dorm (or parents' house) much, if at all, so i'm not often concerned about them disappearing.
