Let's aim for a powerful episode today, folks. We still got encounters to snag and gyms to destroy along with tons of Messiah's goons to send packing.

Episode 8 - The Eradication of Messiah's Goons

Spoiler:
Well, after the nice stock of encounters we picked up, I'm still considering adding a member in place of Poisma or Frei. But that aside, let's go and destroy a gym.

http://image.prntscr.com/image/3faada2bd6d4489891e468459644fcc3.png
Forgot to take victory pic. Whoops.

So let me just say I hate Ice gyms. Ice physics in general sucks in video games. Let that be a sign of how I hated this gym puzzle. The gym battle, though, was easy. Got the almighty Scald burn first try on the Beartic, so rip that Beartic. Anyway, let's move on.

Oh, and Frei actually put in work. I might keep her because having two Intimidate mons is fun to have, especially with the physical attackers we'll likely be handling later.

http://image.prntscr.com/image/f97833ccb21840cea563a570201bfcc3.png

Oh look, it's my punching ba-I mean, my "friends" as most of you would probably call them. Although, this whole thing is cut short by Messiah's ninjas who are basically inviting me over to Dragonspiral Tower. I mean, all I really care about over there is the encounter and maybe the items, but let's humor Messiah and destroy his goons real quick.

http://image.prntscr.com/image/0008cc5c5663421091b71a6bae0699e3.png

But let's hold on and get ourselves an encounter. Like the Axew, I feel this would be a good addition to the team...if I didn't have Reiji. I guess having more power in the PC won't hurt, though.

http://image.prntscr.com/image/ffc2ed61d9904a91965a953437f10dc2.png

So it has fists, and I haven't named a mon after any physical skills yet, so let's name him Sonic Punch. Wasn't enough character space for the space, so...ye. Now, for real, let's go destroy Messiah's goons.

http://image.prntscr.com/image/6b6532d49ebb40da82692e9eb783ca23.png http://image.prntscr.com/image/beeb821ae3b84bd7ba220dc077dd696a.png http://image.prntscr.com/image/2138b7f8450b4fbaa3f49876ca18e9b5.png http://image.prntscr.com/image/0e475072754444fcbb8bae6f54a71b2b.png http://image.prntscr.com/image/4f9b7eee5b534638bfae31cda2431577.png

rip all those guys.

http://image.prntscr.com/image/516bec838515469fa53dd75838bb7ad9.png

Oh boy, it's time for my favorite part of the game. Welp, let's get it over with.

http://image.prntscr.com/image/a289d4fde05d4239b74326a011486f45.png http://image.prntscr.com/image/1a71872d069845f7a0005e5d1577f2fc.png http://image.prntscr.com/image/13414a07a5c1457e86d6614e96aa4e6a.png http://image.prntscr.com/image/1eb78c9819294e4f9bf556e5186cb846.png

Well, actually when you think about it, I'm overleveled. Anyway, Messiah's gonna blab his mouth a bit, and now it's time to slide on over to Relic Castle to (finally) get our encounter. Yeah, I still haven't gotten my Relic Castle encounter. But that aside, let's head on over.

http://image.prntscr.com/image/f66ec5ee3a6f4a61a49406d425143a7b.png

But while we're here, let's finally grab that fossil since I can revive it when we're done here. Alright, let's go destroy Messiah's goons and finally get our encounter.

http://image.prntscr.com/image/8705c503e3014d4994c4f2ac59318ca7.png http://image.prntscr.com/image/afd6260573264ee0877ea88455bde5ac.png http://image.prntscr.com/image/3ddc6d7ad913405c836e057940df85b8.png http://image.prntscr.com/image/f5aed864abb64641b386449d87fe4b44.png http://image.prntscr.com/image/78df2778b6ca4bc7a2b415e6588fdf8f.png http://image.prntscr.com/image/c7ccffa063a3431aa1a9c0d06f1bf122.png http://image.prntscr.com/image/b5badd3086ec47638101017650667d2e.png

rip all of these guys too.

http://image.prntscr.com/image/668837dc7c7a4bd0a8797a7d3ddded3a.png

Meanwhile, we got ourselves our encounter. I already know what I'm naming this one.

http://image.prntscr.com/image/80c44676c7574f2dac11d22b48698595.png

Reiji Kido's Ultimate Persona, folks. Say hello to Mot. Now that all of Messiah's goons got wrecked and we got an encounter, let's go and do the other thing that matters after Ghetsis finishes his little ramble.

http://image.prntscr.com/image/e9f9078fa5fa4c4f85c1bc061af2ff92.png

The Light Stone. A sign we're nearing the end of the game, folks. So, next time, we're going for the final gym and Victory Road. All of Messiah's goons are dealt with, so that's a thing that's out of the way.

I've only ever done one other Nuzlocke before now, and failed miserably. Round 2, START!

Other Rules: Shiny Clause and Dupes Clause. I'm also going to leave the Exp. Share on only for grinding. Don't want to go TOO crazy with difficulty just yet...

I probably won't post about it, but my challenge, personally, will end after I've completed the post game, killed all legendaries that are part of the storyline (so not the Hoopa rift ones), and defeated the E4 a second time.

Tomorrow I'm pre-ordering Sun from Gamestop and I'm gonna grab Soul Silver along with it as I've never played a Johto game before, so maybe I'll try the Ultimate challenge after, as long as this challenge goes okay... heh...

I'll post my progress tomorrow!

BlissyMKW August 12th, 2016 2:20 AM

So I'm kinda salty right now because a Calm Mind Misdreavus just swept my entire team and killed my Fuligin Nuzlocke. But there's only one way to take out my frustration, and that's by destroying people in my good old Black Nuzlocke.

Episode 9 - The Squad Falls Apart

Spoiler:
We got one gym left, and let me just say, it's my least favorite. Let's just get this one done and over with...starting with an encounter.

http://image.prntscr.com/image/df8df86632fa42e08fa902baede7524f.png

.....I have no comment for how bad this encounter for Route 8 is.

http://image.prntscr.com/image/b3e11f680a3b45e198737de18b1c5657.png

A simple nickname for a simple mon that I'll more than likely not use. Let's move onto our next encounter.

http://image.prntscr.com/image/a6a994165fdd472193b61b3d120e0edb.png

http://image.prntscr.com/image/9ba09c70f55341c48f30ac20b122d979.png

Or we can just destroy Bianca instead. Let's be honest, she's a punching bag. Anyway, she's gonna ramble, Ghetsis is gonna ramble, so let's move on over to Route 9 and get an encounter, and then maybe hit up the shopping mall for some items.

http://image.prntscr.com/image/d4c6d766729a467ebccbdc92be1c8167.png

Pawniard. Not even bad, to be honest...but like an idiot, I thought using Zionga to weaken it would work, then killed it in one hit with Signal Beam. Welp, there goes a potential good Dark type for the squad. Oh well. May as well go and listen to Ghetsis ramble some more, then I'll do a bit of mini grinding.

So...we did grinding, listened to Drayden's story, and began the gym. Although, during the gym, my luck had to run out at some point. Frei was lost to us...because of a crit Revenge from a Druddigon. I swear, if it wasn't a crit, she probably would've lived. Great. Just great.

http://pldh.net/media/pokemon/gen5/blackwhite_animated_front/508.gif
Frei (Stoutland) ♀ Lv. 4-45 @ Nothing
Nature: Modest
Ability: Intimidate
Moves: Work Up, Aerial Ace, Reversal, Crunch
Why is it always crits that get something killed? I swear, you should've lived. You were one of the first members of the squad (because Gry came first, but we don't talk about her) and proved you deserved to stay on the team. I was hoping you'd make it to the Elite Four because having two Intimidate mons would be amazing, but sadly, we can't all have nice things.

But, my torment aside, let's talk about this gym. I hate this gym puzzle. Yes, I know I ragged on the Ice gym earlier, but this one bothers me too because of the switches. At least it's better in Black 2 and White 2. Speaking of which, let's take down Mr. Spartan Mayor himself and his dreaded Haxorus.

http://image.prntscr.com/image/6ce3979f1ea14a9683e183a650e20684.png

http://image.prntscr.com/image/e4a512a26aef4977bd0b7adf52a9470f.png

Let me just say I love Intimidate. Haxorus would've done a lot more with Slash if it had gotten to +1, but lucky we have Reiji. Our final badge is ours!

http://image.prntscr.com/image/59e14f36fcfa4619b9d2c1efa7c97f41.png

But of course, before we can go lay Frei to rest, Professor Juniper just has to interrupt me. Of course. She does hand over the Master Ball, so I guess I can forgive her...this time. Anyway, let us go heal up, lay Frei to rest, and continue on towards Route 10.

http://image.prntscr.com/image/92c96ab6102c417780c094a36d7e9ea2.png

Vullaby. I would say this is decent, but it doesn't evolve until around Lv. 55 or so, which is pretty crazy. Along with that, Vullaby and Mandibuzz are defensive, and we're gonna be dealing with a Zekrom soon, so having a mon weak to Electric is an issue.

http://image.prntscr.com/image/6e4f17d37a66478fa3b2c8b5b77b2a03.png

Say hello to Yatagarasu the Vullaby...even though I doubt we'll ever use her. With that aside, there's two hurdles between us and the Pokemon League, and it's time to deal with the first.

http://image.prntscr.com/image/30c58431d8904bbdb650d9ac7e356fa7.png

Cheren, Cheren, Cheren. Once, a punching bag like Bianca, but this man slid in with a Samurott and killed my Zionga. She lived an attack with 1 HP, and I thought a Sucker Punch would kill, but it didn't. After that, Aqua Jet happened.

http://pldh.net/media/pokemon/gen5/blackwhite_animated_front/596.gif
Zionga (Galvantula) ♂ Lv. 27-46 @ Nothing
Nature: Jolly
Ability: Unnerve
Moves: Electro Ball, Signal Beam, Thunderbolt, Sucker Punch
Poor, poor Zionga. I thought you would be a deadweight team member at first, but after the work you put in against Skyla and even beyond that proved otherwise. You became a valuable member of the squad. It's sad to lose you, but...we will head forward.

So now I need to raise up two team members for the Elite Four. We also have our Victory Road encounter to snag, too.

http://image.prntscr.com/image/ae0b817c7b914876a68c3572a96a026b.png
.......

http://image.prntscr.com/image/a37ba73bd365479091e08c13d5c687cc.png
............

So for some reason or another, this is apparently the episode where the team falls apart. During my travels of Victory Road, I encountered a Black Belt...with a Scrafty. A Scrafty that got a crit Crunch on Poisma and killed him. Is today the day where half my squad has to be ripped apart before the Elite Four?!

http://pldh.net/media/pokemon/gen5/blackwhite_animated_front/569.gif
Poisma (Garbodor) ♂ Lv. 19-47 @ Nothing
Nature: Brave
Ability: Weak Armor
Moves: Toxic, Acid Spray, Amnesia, Sludge Bomb
Similar to Zionga, I had doubts about you, Poisma. You were on the top of my "replace this mon" list, but I kept you for Toxic. You had your moments to shine, and Weak Armor may or may not be the reason for your death, but you still put in nothing but the finest of work. Let us hope for no more casualties.

http://image.prntscr.com/image/e2d439627da942e984e69e860bbec0d3.png

But after all the pain, suffering, and the death of half our squad, we finally made it. The Pokemon League. Looks like I have a lot of work to do to build a prepared squad. Ladies and gentlemen, next time will be the finale. The Elite Four, Messiah, and Ghetsis.

BlissyMKW August 25th, 2016 2:07 AM

So before we begin the finale, let me just say one thing. Up to this point, I've done the entirety of this locke through nothing but muscle memory. I did not look up any gym leaders teams or what mons I could catch on a route. I'm extremely afraid of the Elite Four, so I broke my personal rule and looked up what I'm up against.

Along with that, because I clearly don't have the time to grind three team members 20+ levels for the six remaining battles, so I used experience codes to help make grinding go by faster. Pretty sure that isn't against the rules since it's not like I hacked in any items or gave all my mons perfect IVs. Anyway, with that aside, let us begin the Elite Four.

Finale - Tatsuya's Truths and Messiah's Ideals

Spoiler:
It's finally time. Time to defeat the Elite Four. Our fallen team members shall not be forgotten. With our new squad all set and ready for battle, let us begin the infamous Elite Four.

http://image.prntscr.com/image/9af97408d9d04a3fbb609fdfe803e910.png

http://image.prntscr.com/image/e1d8219786474f27ad2d36f2da75dae9.png

Out of the members of the Elite Four, I thought Marshall was going to be the biggest threat, so I went for him first. As you can see, Kohryu is part of our new squad. I started secretly raising him up with the Exp. Share after Poisma met his untimely end, but him and Pulinpa, another new member of the squad, put in some work on Marshall, but mostly Kohryu, able to take out his thick Conkeldurr and his big threat, Mienshao. One down, three to go.

http://image.prntscr.com/image/dd013f0d77be4f4884619b8491409fa0.png

http://image.prntscr.com/image/fd13cda72a514cf5bede6539e48d7121.png

Now, Caitlin was my second pick for various reasons, and most of them pertain to Focus Blast Reuniclus and Ice Beam Sigilyph. I led with Reiji, expecting Musharna, but she led with Reuniclus and I was forced to use Pulinpa to handle Reuniclus...not that it did much. He ate the Focus Blast and it missed it's Thunder. Sadly, though, Reiji can't kill Musharna or Gothetelle in one shot without BlackGlasses. Other than that, Bufudyne made quick work of the deadly bird of doom. Moving onto our not so threatening Elite Four members.

http://image.prntscr.com/image/3ba2064db4f34ea4bee41381d3616e8a.png

http://image.prntscr.com/image/89a7fba45cb9467289f15e583fe9ac19.png

I'm gonna be honest, I'm sorry for what I did to Grimsley. Seriously, the only actual threat on his team was Scrafty because of the Poisma fiasco, but Aqua got a crit Drain Punch and insta killed it. Krookodile was nothing but a Scald, and even though Bisharp had Defiant, one Earthquake from Reiji was all it took (it was a crit too, by the way). Liepard and Bufudyne had a bit of fun, but Quick Claw loved to pop in this battle. To be honest, I could've probably faced Shauntel first and this battle would still be a breeze. Speaking of Shauntel...

http://image.prntscr.com/image/d981182d5b174f418d080231a6cf8449.png

http://image.prntscr.com/image/c8d359c934834d13bb0661338ab14bd1.png

Now while Grimsley was a pushover, Shauntel was just annoying. Cofag lived on 1% and got off it's Will-o-wisp on Reiji turn 1, Jellicent got a Special Defence drop on Masao (lucky that Jellicent's physical defense is paper thin levels of suck), and Chandy nearly killed Aqua and lived a Surf on 1%. Golurk was easy, so ye. With that, we beat the Elite Four. Now it's time to heal up and take on the Champion...

...is what I would be saying if this was White 2 or Black 2, but we still have a big problem to attend to, and that's Messiah and Zekrom.

http://image.prntscr.com/image/8071077d03744e4f8ab3a122d0fa151a.png

And we may have our work cut out for us because Messiah even beat Alder. Sure, he used a legendary, but still, he beat Alder, the man with the Lv. 70+ Volcarona. Let it be known that I like Volcarona, but that's another story for another time. We have to end this. We have to stop Messiah. We have to go and restock on Hyper Potions and heal up, so let's do that first.

http://image.prntscr.com/image/1a005adabd6c4778bdb01a7c0b401a42.png

Suddenly, N's Castle, because we need a suitable final battlefield.

http://image.prntscr.com/image/ee0a1092bb1d4b38b65fdaaa60bb43e7.png

Let me just say, I like the music in N's Castle. That's beside the point, though. Beyond this door is our final battles. We lost no team members during the Elite Four. Let's keep this up for the true finale, Messiah and Ghetsis.

http://image.prntscr.com/image/2c1ac4d5730340d8a30f504d20fa5bb4.png

But first, we gotta catch this guy. I won't use him because we already have an established squad, but...

http://image.prntscr.com/image/a22edc3160b846a9a01167be935b003b.png

I believe it's fitting that our final encounter is named after the final Persona used in Persona 3 to
Spoiler:
seal away Nyx
, the Universe Persona, Messiah. Now, let's take down Messiah once and for all, shall we?

http://image.prntscr.com/image/8076514990564ffeb26ffb933ba47aae.png

http://image.prntscr.com/image/def4dc3472824391838ae187bea54111.png

Mother of Arceus, this one was intense. Zekrom only set up a Light Screen, got healed, then died from a crit Earthquake from Reiji. Lucky I shut down it's Fusion Bolt. Then, the only actual threat to my team shows up, the Vanilluxe. Turn 1, it sets up Hail while I was assuming it was Zoroark, then it gets the freeze on Aqua with Blizzard the following turn. I was lucky to switch to Bufudyne, but then it throws out Flash Cannon and nearly kills her. Luckily, I still managed to get a Poison Touch Drain Punch before Aqua got frozen. Other than that, the rest of his team came down to "Oh, this mon is Zoroark...maybe," but instead, this man just sends out Zoroark straight up and it dies from Kohryu's Dragon Claw. Now, let's do the real final battle and put my nerves to rest for a while.

http://image.prntscr.com/image/45d8e3015f22414fbc544b7162934ff7.png

http://image.prntscr.com/image/f0e308da82a44cd28970f1acd5452814.png

While N was a tough fight, Ghetsis was more of a matter of "kill Hydregion and you're good to go." Toxic stall Cofag wasn't too much trouble for Reiji, but then Ghetsis throws the curveball by sending in Hydregion straight away. Luckily for me, it couldn't kill Aqua in 2 hits because of Drain Punch, so it wasn't too bad. After that, his team fell apart like a stack of cards. Bouffalant only got off one Head Charge, but at -1 thanks to Reiji, it wasn't too bad. A Crunch and an Earthquake dispatched it quickly. Masao just destroyed Seismitoad, and if I had Earthquake, Eelektross would've been instakilled by Kohyru. Oh well, Dragon Claw worked all the same. After that, with some Earthquake action, Reiji took down Ghetsis' Bisharp and brought this chapter to a close. No casualties.

http://image.prntscr.com/image/e6f4509ac8fd42a98a45be7d2f5c112c.png

And with that...the game is complete. Our locke is won.

Team Innocent Sin (Final)

http://pldh.net/media/pokemon/gen5/blackwhite_animated_front/512.gif
Masao (Simisage) ♂ Lv. 54 @ Miracle Seed
Nature: Impish
Ability: Gluttony
Moves: Acrobatics, Leech Seed, Crunch, Seed Bomb
Survivor MVP
One of the original members of the squad. I ended up getting my Pansage killed during my first X Nuzlocke thanks to a Shellder, but this time around, he made it to the end. While he wasn't exactly MVP material, he will have the title of Survivor MVP.

http://pldh.net/media/pokemon/gen5/blackwhite_animated_front/537.gif
Aqua (Seismitoad) ♀ Lv. 55 @ Expert Belt
Nature: Brave
Ability: Poison Touch
Moves: Drain Punch, Surf, Sludge Bomb, Scald
Squad Co-MVP
Messiah Co-MVP

So back when Aqua was a Tympole and she got added to the squad, I had my doubts. This is a mon I've never used in a locke, or at all in a playthrough before. Although, as time passed, she became quite the member of the team. Sure, there is still someone who surpassed her, but...Aqua was probably one of the best members of the squad.

http://pldh.net/media/pokemon/gen5/blackwhite_animated_front/553.gif
Reiji (Krookodile) ♂ Lv. 57 @ BlackGlasses
Nature: Quirky
Ability: Intimidate
Moves: Earthquake, Crunch, Foul Play, Rock Tomb
Squad MVP
Messiah and Ghetsis MVP

This man, right here. He is the MVP of the squad. Ever since evolving, this man has put in nothing but the finest of work, especially lategame. I don't think I would've won the locke without him.

http://pldh.net/media/pokemon/gen5/blackwhite_animated_front/612.gif
Kohyru (Haxorus) ♂ Lv. 54 @ Dragon Fang
Nature: Bashful
Ability: Mold Breaker
Moves: Dragon Dance, Slash, Poison Jab, Dragon Claw

http://pldh.net/media/pokemon/gen5/blackwhite_animated_front/614.gif
Bufudyne (Beartic) ♂ Lv. 54 @ Quick Claw
Nature: Hasty
Ability: Snow Cloak
Moves: Icicle Crash, Strength, Shadow Claw, Brick Break

http://pldh.net/media/pokemon/gen5/blackwhite_animated_front/576.gif
Pulinpa (Gothetelle) ♂ Lv. 53 @ Spell Tag
Nature: Mild
Ability: Frisk
Moves: Thunderbolt, Psyshock, Psychic, Shadow Ball

And now with that complete, I shall return to the Shadow Realm for now. Soon, we will return to Unova for our Eternal Punishment. Until then, though...back to the Shadow Realm.

So, I just completed a Yellow Nuzlocke and realized that I forgot to even sign up... So...

Username: XxHarryxX
Game: Yellow
Single (for now, I'm working on one for Pearl as well and might just expand to ultimate later)
Other rules: No dupes (if they're alive), event Pokemon not allowed (no Charmander, Squirtle, Eevee, etc.)

I didn't keep the most precise detail as to how every part of the game went, but... I can at least appraise you of my final team and the ones who perished throughout the journey!

Final Team:
Poliwrath
: Fished up at Lv. 10 in Cerulean City as a Poliwag, final Lv. 52, Surf/Amnesia/Ice Beam/Submission
Victreebel: Caught at Lv. 12 on Route 25 as a Bellsprout, final lv. 51, Razor Leaf/Body Slam/Wrap/Poisonpowder
Dugtrio: Caught at Lv. 15 in Diglett's Cave as a Diglett, final lv. 53, Earthquake/Rock Slide/Slash/Cut
Dodrio: Caught at Lv. 22 on Route 16 as a Doduo, final Lv. 57, Drill Peck/Fly/Tri Attack/Agility

Observations - Dodrio is one that I'd never really used before, but its high attack and speed make it pretty good, particularly in Gen 1 since it can outrun Alakazams and OHKO them with Drill Peck. Victreebel has a pretty terrible movepool... Poliwrath is pretty easy to level up due to its speed and the power of Surf on the Rock/Ground types - I was leveling it up at ~Lv 30 in Victory Road. Dugtrio - see Dodrio.

Rest in Peace:
Pikachu:
Passed away at Lv. 8 while training in Viridian Forest against a Caterpie - got a critical hit. Sad day and kind of embarrassing, but at least I didn't need to deal with Pikachu much later in the game - it is really not that good from my previous experiences.
Oddish: Passed away at Lv. 15 while fighting the Youngster with his Slowpoke on Route 25 - Confusion got a critical hit. Oddish would've been solid and I was looking forward to Petal Dance, but it was just not to be. Victreebel proved to be an OK substitute, but not a great one.
Mankey: Passed away at Lv. 24 on Route 9 while fighting Meowth. Mankey was actually proving pretty useful as a fighting type...
Machop: Passed away at Lv. 19 while training in the wild in Rock Tunnel. Oops.
Butterfree: Passed away at Lv. 32 due to a critical hit from a super-effective Sludge from Koffing on Route 16. Forgot about Bug being weak to Poison in this game... Oops.
Nidoking: Passed away at Lv. 40 due to a critical hit from Drowzee in Silph Co. Thrash was proving quite powerful, it's too bad the common themes of supereffective critical hits affected me drastically...
Magneton: Passed away at Lv. 32 due to a critical hit while training in the wild. Magneton was basically in the daycare for a while, got leveled up once, and then died. Pretty terrible movepool, so wasn't a huge loss, though it did make Lance's Gyarados an adventure...
Seadra: Passed away at Lv. 47 when Giovanni scored a critical hit with his Nidoqueen's Thunder. Dangit. Just wasn't powerful enough... Seadra was proving to be pretty good, too! Though no Kingdra in yellow...
Nidoking: (Yep, another one! Nidorino on Route 23) Passed away at Lv. 50 against Lance's Gyarados. He couldn't OHKO with Thunderbolt (though he did paralyze) and fell victim to a CH Hydro Pump... Cleared the way for Dodrio to finish off Gyarados and for Poliwrath to step in the rest of the way.

Couple other observations that will hopefully carry over to future Nuzlockes:
- I got a bit reckless (probably partially due to the 4x speed I had from playing on Pokemon Stadium 2) and could've probably prevented a death or two along the way.
- I saved TM's until the Elite Four, basically. Prevented me from using up Thunderbolt and Ice Beam on mons who died.
- I had 8 rare candies and used them right before the final battle - I do think that it helped Dodrio outspeed Alakazam!

As mentioned above, I'm working on another one...

I've been playing through my Emerald game, and finding that I enjoy Hoenn a lot more when there's a threat of death hanging over my Pokemon.

Currently, I'm at Jagged Pass, where I just caught a Spoink. And lost a member of my team, Fluckite the Mightyena. I wasn't paying much attention to his battle. I was hoping to take him as far as he could go, which I guess was up to a battle against a random Magnemite.

The team's slowly falling behind the stat curve, but they're sturdy little Pokemon. Hopefully they can handle what's coming next.

The team:

So far so good… Never have used a Totodile on a Nuzlocke before, so I’m a bit excited to see how it turns out. Geodude looks to be an early game threat, but may be replaced at some point. Rattata will be trained up, and I’ll eventually have to choose between Pidgey and Spearow, but not until I get through Azalea Town.

Deaths:
Fred (Level 10) Killed by trainer on Route 32

Disappointed at Fred’s death… I feel as though he could have been used really well. However, the addition of Marvin is great, as Electric types are very hard to come by, and to have one on hand is always good. Not looking forward to my fight with Whitney though, it could really pose an issue, especially if Pierre were to go down.

UPDATE #19: SIMON SAYS, "SCREW YOU, CLAIR"
Spoiler:
Losing Maxwell the Magnezone changed things completely. Relying on his defences to do the job was no longer an option, so I needed a new strategy for dealing with Clair's Surf-using Kingdra. Another Water-type, I thought, would probably do the job, so I made the decision to pull Simon the Slowpoke out of the Box. My reasoning was that I could teach him Yawn and Slack Off, put Kingdra to sleep, heal off any damage taken, and let someone with higher offensive capabilities take it out without risk. That was the theory, anyway. Unfortunately, Simon was only level 6, so it was time to grind.

Levelling Simon up took forever, what with the stupidly low levels of the wild Pokémon near Blackthorn City, but I took the opportunity to make the two catches I had available — a Machop in Mount Mortar, who I called Russell; and a Poliwag in Blackthorn City, who I called River. Still, it didn't do much to break the monotony, and beyond that, I had a decision to make: whether to evolve Simon into a Slowbro or Slowking. Eventually, I decided to use my King's Rock to evolve him into Slowking, hoping that his slightly higher Special Defence would allow him to tank more hits from Kingdra. So, several hours and a quick trade evolution later, I had cleared out the Gym and levelled everyone up to 40. I felt as ready as I ever would be to take on Clair.

The battle started well enough. Tristan faced off against Gyarados first, and, as has become a tradition with my trusty Meganium, kicked off with Light Screen before letting Kiba take over. My Crobat tanked a hit before hitting Gyarados with Poison Fang, which, miracle of miracles, actually poisoned it! With that done, and Kiba about to faint, I pulled her out and sent Tristan back in. Kiba's attack and the poison damage had done enough to take Gyarados's health down low enough that, as long as Clair didn't heal it, it would faint during the next turn, so I took the opportunity to heal Tristan. It worked. One down.

I knew that Clair would use one of her Dragonair next, and with Tristan on the field, I knew exactly which one she would use, so, when it appeared, I switched out for my own Gyarados, Scarlett. Clair took the bait, and tried a Fire Blast — as you might imagine, it wasn't very impressive. Scarlett retaliated with Ice Fang, and took Dragonair out with three hits, with Clair healing her Pokémon and Scarlett shrugging off a Thunder Wave with her Cheri Berry in between. Scarlett then proceeded to do the same thing to the other Dragonair, albeit being paralysed in the process. Three down, one to go.

Now for the tricky part. As per my strategy, I switched out Scarlett and threw in Simon, who hit the annoying dragon with Yawn. Kingdra's Dragon Pulse did more damage than I'd expected, so I pulled out Simon and sent in Justin, who took a Dragon Pulse before Kingdra fell asleep. I used the next turn to heal Tristan, who had taken a hit while dealing with Gyarados and might be needed to set up Light Screen again, then decided to spam Sand Attack and ruin Kingdra's accuracy. After two Sand Attacks, Justin hit the opponent with Psybeam, which cut Kingdra's HP by about a third. At that point, Kingdra awoke and launched a Hydro Pump at Justin. Justin held on with just over half his HP left, so I took the chance to let him land another Psybeam. Kingdra tried Hydro Pump again — and missed. Encouraged, I tried another Sand Attack, then another. Kingdra missed Hydro Pump again — my plan was working! One more Psybeam and it would go down! But then the unthinkable happened — Kingdra's Hydro Pump landed. It critted. Justin was gone.

I was horrified. Furious, I did the only thing I could — I sent Tristan back in, set up a Light Screen, and landed Magical Leaf after Magical Leaf until Kingdra went down. The battle was won, but my Espeon had been lost in the process. Having to head into Dragon's Den to receive my prize seemed like adding insult to injury, but I taught Whirlpool to Serra the Seel and went in, using Repels to avoid wild encounters for the time being — I was saving my encounter for a specific Pokémon. And, after receiving the Rising Badge, I went back to pick up the Extremespeed Dratini: a male, who I called Libra.

With all eight badges under my belt, I headed back to New Bark Town and picked up the Master Ball from Professor Elm. My next stop would be Ecruteak City, so gathered my wits and what remained of my team, and headed off.

UPDATE #20: IRONY, THY NAME IS ESPEON
Spoiler:
One of the many things I wasn't looking forward to in this game was having to head back to Ecruteak. Someone tell me, why is this a required part of the game? Just to annoy me, that's why.

As you might have picked up, this didn't go very well.

Back in Ecruteak, I headed into the Dance Theatre, knowing that I would have to face the Kimono Girls. What I forgot, however, was that I'd have to fight them consecutively, without an opportunity to heal in between. This was probably what led to the trouble.

I took out the first three Girls' Pokémon fairly easily: Tristan dealt with Vaporeon, and Terra took out Flareon and Jolteon. My team was getting pretty tired, though, and when I had to fight the Espeon, I began to worry. The only Pokémon I had that knew a Dark-type move were Kiba, Leto, and Scarlett. Scarlett was resting in the Box after flattening Clair; Kiba obviously wasn't going anywhere near Espeon; and as for Leto, his Special Defence was too low to risk it. However, I did have Simon, who knew Nasty Plot and Surf; if anyone could tank Espeon's hits and deal out significant damage in return, it was Simon.

But it wasn't to be. I set up a Nasty Plot, but before Simon could attack, Espeon launched a Psychic attack. And guess what? It critted. After all that time spent training him, after using my King's Rock to evolve him, Simon was gone. Punishment for letting Justin die? Quite possibly.

Needless to say, the mood was low when Espeon and the final Pokémon, Umbreon, had been defeated. And it still wasn't over; I had to face Ho-oh. I pulled Libra from the Box, gave him the Experience Share, and started making my way up the Bell Tower.

The trek was long, but the Pokémon were mercifully low-levelled. Even better, since it was night by this time, my first non-Rattata encounter was a male Gastly, who Libra was able to paralyse and weaken enough for me to catch him in a Dusk Ball. Since I've been on a Tribe Twelve kick recently, I called him Persolus.

At the top of the tower, Ho-oh waited, level 45 and wielding Sacred Fire and Fire Blast. I briefly considered trying to catch him properly, but I remembered how much trouble I'd had catching him on my first HeartGold playthrough. Coupled with the certainty that I would lose more than one Pokémon in this fight and the fact that this was the only required legendary battle I'd have to deal with, I decided to stuff this for a game of soldiers and just threw the Master Ball at him. Ho-oh caught, but, as per my rules, not going on the team.

Next stop, Kanto.

UPDATE #21: LONG ROAD AHEAD
Spoiler:
With Ho-oh caught, there was nothing stopping me from beginning the trek towards the Indigo Plateau, so off I went, Libra, Terra and Scarlett in tow. The trek was uneventful, but for my encounters along the way. Tohjo Falls had no new Pokémon for me to catch, since I already had a Goldeen and had just lost my Slowking, but Route 27 had a male Doduo, who I called Digby. Route 26 only seemed to have Doduo and Sandslash, both evolutionary lines that I already had, so Terra finally got to make use of Headbutt. It took several tries to get something to appear, but it paid off: I found a Pineco, which I caught and named Walnut. Meanwhile, in Victory Road, after a couple of Graveler and Golbat, I found, of all things, a Donphan. It might not have been the Pokémon I was after — that being a Rhyhorn or an Onix — but still, I caught him and named him Phillip.

My team were able to gain a few levels along the way, with Libra especially taking several levels in badass and evolving into Dragonair. Still, he was still too low a level to take on Silver, who confronted me near the exit. Fortunately, Leto, Kiba, Terra, Artax and Scarlett proved to be more than capable of handling his team; Scarlett put in a particularly impressive performance by one-shotting his most dangerous Pokémon, Kadabra.

With Silver beaten, the only thing left to do was prepare for the Elite Four, a prospect that gave me pause. While Koga, Bruno and Karen probably wouldn't cause too many problems, I'd realised that I didn't really have a way to counter Will's Psychic-types. Worse still, I'd have to face Lance and his three (hacked, the cheating so-and-so) Dragonite, and with one of them even packing Thunder, even Scarlett wouldn't be able to deal with all of them. Even the newly-awesome Libra wouldn't be enough to carry the day. It was time to change things up, so I pulled Lars the Swinub and Persolus the Gastly out of the PC.

Assuming all goes well, the team for the Pokémon League will be Terra, Scarlett, Kiba, Lars, Persolus, and either Leto, Artax, or Libra. Wish me luck.

Soon enough, he was at level 31, and evolved into my first ever Magnezone.

I just noticed this after reading through some posts (I read through some of them because it's like reading little stories) :3

I would say this is against the rules, as it's not within the limits of the game. However, I guess I hadn't made this clear, so I can let this one slide and allow it. (It is now clarified in the OP)
But for any future nuzlockes, it'd be good to avoid doing this.

I feel really stupid for not making sure that it was okay to evolve Maxwell beforehand. Thank you for pointing that out. I promise I won't make that mistake again.

It's been pretty slow progress on my challenge for Pearl, but I do have an update!

- Started the game out and picked Turtwig as the starter. Blew through all the pre-game stuff and whatnot.
- Caught a Starly on Route 201 and a Shinx on Route 202 for my team; Bidoof on 204 as a slave and a Zubat in the Ravaged Path for the box. Also fished up a Magikarp on Route 218 for the box.
- Beat my rival on Route 203 without any real problems; grabbed a Geodude in the Oreburgh Gate for the team and a Kricketot on 203 for the box.
- Went through the whole Oreburgh City/Gym without too many issues.
- Grabbed a Machop on Route 207 and swapped it for an Abra in Oreburgh City. Didn't really intend to use either, but having Abra will save me down the road.
- Ventured up to Floaroma Town and over to the Valley Windworks. Criticalled the Shellos I encountered there...
- Beat Mars, using some clever switching to Intimidate (Staravia only) the Purugly down to where it wasn't a killing machine.

Current Team: Shinx, Staravia, Geodude, Grotle, Bidoof (HM Slave)
Box: Abra, Zubat, Geodude, Kricketot

Update 2
Spoiler:
Grinding for Brock:
Amara the Ralts grew to Lv. 15 and learned Double Team. (Just a bit more and she'll be a proper Kirlia!)
Sapphire the Mudkip was killed by a wild Slakoth's Critical Scratch! (Such waste- gah!)
Shadow the Poochyena was killed by a wild Skitty's Critical Tackle! (Meh. He's useless anyway.)
Purple the Rattata grew to Lv. 15 and learned Hyper Fang. (Yay!)
Lightning the Elekid grew to Lv. 15 and learned Swift; forgot Leer.
Lloyd the Oddish grew to Lv. 15.

With all of my Pokémon each in their self-imposed Level cap of 15, we went to Pewter Gym.

At Pewter Gym:
Lloyd trashed the only Gym Trainer; grew to Lv. 16 and learned Stun Spore! (Though I prefer Sleep Powder...)

Time to die, Brock! :D

Versus Brock:
Brock has 6 Pokémon, as do all Gym Leaders in this hack.

Lloyd swept through Brock's team with Absorb and Lightning dropped in to Thundershock Brock's Vulpix to death.
Lloyd grew to Lv. 18 and learned Sleep Powder; forgot Stun Spore. (Finally!)

And then Brock sent his last Pokémon: Onix. This is where it went south for us. His Onix outsped Lloyd and used Swagger. Confused, Lloyd hit himself. Onix Dug underground, but Purple took the hit and survived. I sent Lloyd back and his Absorb hit. Onix Dug again, I sent Amara thinking she could take the hit, but I was wrong - Amara died. So much for my dreams of having a Gardevoir.

Only Lloyd, Purple, and Lightning were still alive, but their health were in bad conditions. My stupid self forgot to buy Potions. I sent Lloyd back in. His Absorb missed - Onix Dug once more. Purple sacrificed. Only Lloyd and Lightning remained. Lightning's faster than Lloyd, so I sent him. His Karate Chop hit the demonic Onix, who in turn Dug again. Lloyd had to sacrifice so Lightning could survive and hopefully avenge everyone.

My Lightning and Brock's Onix stared down at each other. The colossal rocky serpent grinned at Lightning, he knew victory was his despite looking more weary due to the previous Karate Chop. Lightning and I clenched our fists. We didn't give up, we couldn't. For the sake of our fallen friends we must win. I cried aloud, "KARATE CHOP!"

Lightning leapt up like thunder rising upwards, onto the Onix's head. Mid-air, his small body was centimeters in front of the foe Onix's skull. Onix's eyes met Lightning's angered gaze. Lightning raised his arm as his open hand glowed white and with a deep voice he spoke, "Dicks out for the Harambes." Onix's eyes grew wide as he realized what's about to come. With all his might, Lightning brought his glowing hand down onto the serpent's rocky skull.

A loud thump echoed around the Gym's four walls. Onix curled backwards as his consciousness began to fade. Lightning hung onto Onix's jaw. Onix's body leaned forward and fell down, one-by-one his boulders hit the ground with individual thumps. Seeing that his skull was just a few inches away from impact, Lightning jumped up and rolled away to safety. Behind him, Onix's skull finally met the ground.

Fallen! Fallen is Babylon the Great!

Aaand then we received the Boulder Badge and the Technical Machine: Rock Tomb! Next update: after battling Misty (whether or not we survive!)

Update 3
Spoiler:
The Road to Mt. Moon:
Lightning grew to Lv. 19; learned Thunderpunch and forgot Thundershock.
Stocked up on items and sold junk.
Lightning grew to Lv. 21.

On the grassy area of Route 3, south of Mt. Moon entrance, a wild Growlithe appeared - potential new member! Lightning's Quick Attack damaged the wild Growlithe, who fought back. "Another," I commanded. Lightning was only supposed to weaken the Growlithe with Quick Attacks so I could capture it, but much to my surprise he went for a full-power critical Quick Attack. Lightning growled and looked down at the dead Growlithe.

I figured he's still mad at the death of his friends. I was, too. But I can't let anger cloud my judgment. I wanted to talk to Lightning, to ease his emotions. But before I could mutter a word, Lightning dashed and searched for his next opponent. I decided it would be better to let him release all his anger in this area. There's no reasoning with him when he's like this. Hopefully, by the time we enter Mt. Moon he would have regained his composure.

Mt. Moon:
(Bah. I don't feel like storytelling anymore, very sorry.)

Caught a Lunatone holding a Moon Stone at Mt. Moon, named it Luna.

Took its Moon Stone and put it in the bag.

UPDATE #22: PREPARING FOR BATTLE
Spoiler:
Having finally reached the Indigo Plateau, there was nothing left to do but get the team ready for their toughest challenge yet: the Elite Four. Since the majority of the team were only level 41, and Lars and Persolus even lower than that, this would mean a whole lot of grinding. Equally important was the need to find some Heart Scales; if I wanted Lars to evolve into Mamoswine, I would have to teach him Ancient Power in Blackthorn City. This turned out to be a lot harder than I'd expected; I knew I could find Heart Scales by smashing rocks in Cianwood City, but for some reason, they're ridiculously rare. The only good point was the opportunity to battle lots of Krabby and Shuckle, which turned out to give a surprising amount of experience. Through a combination of smashing rocks and grinding Athlete Points at the Pokéathlon, I managed to get hold of not only seven Heart Scales — more than enough for what I was planning — but a Fire Stone for Leto.

With the Heart Scale farming out of the way, I relocated to Route 26 to grind in the grass. With Lars starting out at level 25 and Persolus at only level 21, this took some time, but the endeavour was productive, and it didn't take too long for Persolus to reach level 25 and evolve into Haunter. As for Lars, I decided that he should remain a Swinub for a while, specifically until level 49. This wasn't as much of a handicap as it might have been, as he learned Earthquake and Blizzard relatively quickly.

By the end of the long, long grind session, the team had all hit level 48; Scarlett had learned the ever-useful Dragon Dance, and Leto had learned his final level-up move, Flare Blitz. At this development, I used my Fire Stone and finally allowed Leto to evolve into my favourite Pokémon, Arcanine! Meanwhile, Lars had reached level 49 and learned Amnesia, which I hoped would help in the battles ahead; he then finally evolved into Piloswine.

Next, I took the team to Blackthorn City for some move tutoring. The Heart Scale farming paid off, as I discovered that Lars could learn Ice Fang alongside Ancient Power. Leto, meanwhile, I taught Extreme Speed and Thunder Fang, in order to cover his Water-type weakness and help deal with Will's Xatu. Finally, I performed a quick trade and let Persolus evolve into Gengar, then used my precious Thunderbolt TM on him, hoping that his high speed and special attack would allow him to quickly deal with Lance's Gyarados.

The team is ready: Kiba, Scarlett, Leto, Lars, Persolus and Terra. The Elite Four beckon.

UPDATE # 23: ELITE BEAT AGENTS!
Spoiler:
No putting it off any longer. It was time to face the Elite Four.

Will was up first. I led with Scarlett against his first Xatu, expecting to have to bring in someone else afterwards. My worries were unfounded, however, because my Dragon Dance-buffed Gyarados swept his entire team on her own. One down.

Next was Koga, who started with Ariados. I led with Kiba, whose massive Attack stat and type advantage let her take out the Bug-type in one hit before doing the same thing to Venomoth. I had to pull her out when Forretress came out, though, fearful of it using Explosion. To avoid this, I sent in Persolus, but Koga had other ideas — he withdrew Forretress and sent in Crobat, which worried me for a moment. However, I had already selected Persolus's Thunderbolt, and he took out the bat in one hit. Muk was up next and used Minimise, but it didn't make a difference; Persolus knocked it out with two Shadow Balls. Finally, Forretress returned to the battle, and decided to be annoying and use Protect. Persolus didn't care; he took it down with two Thunderbolts. Two down.

Kiba led the charge against Bruno, facing off against Hitmontop. I had a brief moment of fear when I realised that Hitmontop knew Counter, but Kiba one-shot it with Fly anyway. Bruno, apparently wise to my strategy, sent in Onix, so I replaced Kiba with Terra. She withstood an Earthquake and dealt with the snake with one Surf. Kiba returned to the battle to fight Hitmonlee, who used Swagger. This was to my advantage, however, because Kiba was holding a Persim Berry for this exact purpose. Buffed by the Swagger, my Crobat one-shot both Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan, despite the latter knowing two super-effective moves. I left Kiba in to fight Machamp, but I got careless and didn't remember that it knew Rock Slide until it hit Kiba with it. Fortunately, she held on and finished the battle by one-shotting Machamp too.

For Karen, I decided to lead with Lars, the Pokémon on my team with the highest Defence. Karen's Umbreon decided to be a pain and use Double Team, but Lars managed to take it out in three turns. Karen sent in Houndoom next; unwilling to risk Lars against its Flamethrower, I sent in Terra, who took it down with Earthquake. Next up was Vileplume, so I sent in Leto, who used his Cheri Berry to shrug off Stun Spore before well and truly incinerating it with Flare Blitz. Gengar came out next, so I sent in my own Gengar in order to avoid Focus Blast. Persolus turned out to be faster than his opponent and one-shot it before it could use Destiny Bond, which I'd been worried about. Finally, Scarlett took on Murkrow, and she took it out with one Ice Fang.

With the Elite Four defeated, all that's left to do is face Lance. Faced with this, I used one of my precious Rare Candies to elevate Lars to level 50, allowing him to evolve into Mamoswine!

Lance is going to be tough. Wish me luck.

Time for a quick update on my Pearl Nuzlocke! Haven't really been accomplishing much (Pokemon Go has kept me busy!) but it's something at least!

- Worked my way up Route 205 to Eterna Forest, catching a Buizel along the way.
- Partnered with Cheryl in the Forest and got through it, picking up a Buneary along the way.
- Got to Eterna City and went up to Route 211 to grind a bit. Caught Cleffa in Mt. Coronet (...) and then Meditite on Route 211 to add to the team!
- Beat Gardenia fairly easily with my Staravia.
- Hiked back to the Old Chateau to grab a Gastly, boxed it up fairly quickly but could use it as a good backup down the road.
- Took down Team Galactic in their hideout, again with some switching with Staravia's Intimidate to cut that Skuntank's attack.
- Went down Cycling Road to Route 206 and caught... a Kricketune. Oops.

Getting ready to head over to Hearthome City soon!

Team: Meditite, Grotle, Luxio, Geodude, Staravia, Bidoof (HM slave)
Box: Abra, Zubat, Magikarp, Kricketot, Buizel, Buneary, Cleffa, Gastly, Kricketune
Dead: None yet!

Sorry for the extremely late reply. But yes, enhanced hacks are allowed, such as Blaze Black, etc., I'm not sure about Liquid Crystal, but if it's the generally the same story as the gen 2 games then it's good.

Same as above, sorry for the very late reply. But I'm sorry to hear that. :(

BlissyMKW November 18th, 2016 4:58 AM

Once upon a time, there was a certain stizh who liked to do challenges on PokeCommunity. He was pretty bad at video games, and somehow managed to win a nuzlocke with Persona themed mons. However, what this stizh failed to realize was that Persona 2 was a duology, and instead of moving straight to the second half of the show, he ended up being busy with work and making videos and generally just slacking off. But now this certain stizh has returned, ready to finish the fight against Ghetsis and Messiah's former goons, now made into Nyarlethotep's Goons. Let us begin the second half of our tale...and let's watch this stizh suffer even more than he did the first time, because we all know we like watching people lose valuable team members in nuzlockes.

Same rule applies as last time. All team members must be named after something from the Persona games. Characters, skills, Personas, it doesn't matter. However, I am banned from using names from my previous final squad. If I forget and use the names Reiji, Masao, Bufudyne, Pulinpa, Kohyru, or Aqua, I am subject to immediate failure of the locke, because just killing off my best team member is too lenient if I'm too stupid to actually use the same name twice.

Liquid Crystal is, for the most part, the same. However, as far as I've seen, there are new things added to the story, like new rivals, another evil team, and a couple of other things.

UPDATE
Spoiler:

Chose Froakie as my starter called him Carlisle. Caught Isabella the Zigzagoon on Route 2 and then caught Marcus the Panpour in Santalune Forest. Caught Alice the Azurill on route 3 and Roseali the Litleo on route 22. Used Roseali to beat Viola then caught a Flabebe on route 4 and continued grinding up the team. Beat Sycamore and chose Bulbasaur who I called Jacob. Moved to route 5 and caught Caius the Skiddo then on route 6 caught a Sentret called Charlie and caught the Snorlax on route 7 and called him Mike, who killed Isabella with a critical tackle. Followed up that catch with Esme the Roselia. Continued the grinding up of Mike who is the new member instead of Isabella and have just beaten Tierno and Trevor.

The event Munchlax?

I guess so, since it's level 5 and has no huge advantages over other Pokemon, I don't see why not. :)

Quick update on my Pearl Nuzlocke; not too much has happened since the last update but I think it'll pick up since I finished Moon a few days ago.

- Journeyed all the way to Hearthome City after clearing trainers on Route 206 and 207. Left Wayward Cave alone for now; hoping for a Gible later
- Defeated my rival in Hearthome City; it wasn't too much of a challenge (probably since his Starly hadn't evolved yet)
- Given an egg in Hearthome City, stashed it in the box for now
- Cleared Route 209, 210, Solaceon Ruins, and most of Route 215. Regrettably, I KO'ed Bibarel on Route 209 and had to run from a Kadabra on 215 (so strong!). However, I caught an Unown F and Ponyta for the box, perhaps for use later.
- Geodude evolved to Graveler! I'll be trading to evolve it over the next couple of days. Woot!

Team (all at lv. 25): Meditite, Graveler, Staravia, Grotle, Luxio; Bidoof HM slave

UPDATE: RIP Luxio! He fell to the double battle team of Gyarados and Glameow (...) at the end of Route 215. First casualty of the challenge... Now I don't have a good electric type for Crasher Wake. Picked Gastly from the box and started training it up - it'll be able to learn Thunderbolt and should be of great help in the Veilstone Gym as well due to its typing.

JaDe.X105 January 12th, 2017 6:57 PM

So I started a blog to track my journey through the games beyond Gen I, and since I'm playing each game as a Nuzlocke/Gymlocke I might as well throw my name into this too.

However, I have a question with labeling as a Single vs. Ultimate. I am playing on emulators, so I can only play up through Gen V. This isn't all the available games/regions, but it's what's playable for me since I don't own any type of DS... So it doesn't truly fit the Ultimate description, but it's more than a Single...

Anything not an ultimate are singles. So in your case, it would be four separate singles (Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova).

Single/Ultimate: Single I guess? I have two singles under my belt already (FireRed, Emerald), and it'd be cool if/when I beat all the gens it's considered an Ultimate, but I didn't declare it from the get-go or anything.

Also, I don't see other Gen VII runs yet, so I don't know what the ruling on this is, but I've been using what people have been calling the Pinwheel Clause for my run:

"Areas that are counted as the same place, but with vastly different encounters, and a different dropdown when you enter the area (I.E the inside and outside of Ten Carat Hill) are considered different places with separate encounters"

I feel like the selection would be very sparse without this, but if this is deemed as breaking the rules, I guess I'll start over (womp womp)

Anyway:

Pokemon Moon Nuzlocke - First Update

Z-Crystals collected: 2
Grand Trials completed: 1

Everything's going pretty smoothly! Cutiefly is probably my favorite catch so far, he solo'd 2 out 3 of Hala's mons in the grand trial fight.

Feel free, this actually falls under the "separated areas" optional rule in the OP, as it can, and has, applied to previous games as well.

I picked up my Black Nuzlocke again, and keep forgetting to post updates here. Since I've played quite a bit without posting, this update will be in the middle of things.

Just defeated Clay, which wasn't that difficult of a fight. I have a decent Grass and Water Pokemon that were able to deal great damage to the Ground Pokemon in the gym. The only problem that I had was taking Bulldoze hits, and since I imposed a "no healing items in battle" rule for this challenge, I lost a Pokemon. One that I'm sure would have been able to handle a hit if I had ever evolved her.

My first update on Perfect Platinum. A lot happened inbetween now and my first post. So I'll mainly focus on the gyms in this update..

The gym battle with Roark was easy until he sent out Cranidos. Geodude and Onix fell quickly to my Turtwig (at the time) but Cranidos was another story. Before I knew it he used headbutt and I watched as his hp just dropped. Luckily he survived but took a heavy hit. Panicked I switched out to Golbat to take the next hit it too almost got blown away. Stupid mistake here....I switched into Rattata and it literally got obliterated for no reason...

Next I switched back out into Golbat and it sacrificed itself so I could heal Turtwig back to full and finished it with Razor Leaf.

Once again I was back to only my starter so I added both a Geodude and a Kricketot I had caught earlier. The training montage began and they all reached the 20's.

Along the way to Gardenia I picked up a Psyduck and trained it as well thinking it would be sticking around but it was cut down by a Scyther's Pursuit in Eternia Forest. : ( I was able to get a Gastly in the Forest though.

Didn't really have trouble with Gardenia herself. She mostly just used her Turtwig to set up reflect. I can't even remember the second pokemon she had. Then against her final one Roserade I just confused it with Haunter and spammed Night Shade. It used Stun Spore to slow me down but then I finished it with Sucker Punch.

No losses this time.

I cleared out Team Plasma and recieved both the bike and an egg. No clue about what Ill go do next.

Spoiler:
Time for update number #2. Starting from where I left off I headed south through the Cycling Road on Route 206. Cleared through the trainers and decided to take a trip into Wayward Cave. Now I could sworn and maybe I'm remembering this wrong that there was a special spot to catch a Gabite inside the cave so I wanted to take my chances. But firstvI needed to get to the entrance and caught a Skorupi on my way there.
Finally reaching the cave I used a repel so I wouldn't encounter anything else while looking for that spot. Thinking it would be easy I wound up using all my repels while being lost in the cave (funny enough even the trainers inside mention how lost they are) and even lost my Graveler to a random trainer. So I give up and find the encounter that the game wants to give me which happens to be......Shuckle. > : ( I catch it then used an escape and decide to never return. No hate for Shuckle itself but I needed something else.

Continuing on I get to Route 208 where my first encounter happens to be the one who killed my Shinx....an innocent looking Bidoof. Wanting to run I capture it anyway since missing an encounter on purpose is a bad idea.

Arriving at Hearthome City I restock the items lost searching for Gabite and took a walk through Amity Square with Grotle. Didn't think I'd find an Amulet Coin during. Even received a free Eevee afterwards next to the Pokemon Center which now fills Graveler's spot. I left there and met Fantina at the Contest Hall and then headed for the gym.
Defeated all the trainers on the way to her with no problems. It dawned on me that it was Friday so I was able to head back and catch Drifloon at Valley Windworks and replaced Haunter for it. I train some more and head back to fight her.

Leading with Flaafy against her Duskull. The first thing she tries is pursuit for whatever reason and Duskull gets paralyzed pretty quickly after Thundershock. It starts spamming Shadow Sneak and Future Sight (as if that'll work) and I counter spamming Thundershock. As usual with any gym battle she heals Duskull. So speeding things up I switch to Eevee and start using bite. I find out she has Willowisp as well...very annoying. But a few more bites and it goes down.

Next comes Haunter who is worse with Hypnosis and Confuse Ray. : / After paralyzing it with Thunderwave I was able to just whittle it away.

Finally she sends out Mismagius and I try the same thing as before....unfortunately before I knew it she outspeeds and Flaafy dies from a Shadow Ball to the face. The rest of the fight becomes a switching game due to her constantly confusing and critical hitting me with Psybeam over and over again even after having four Sand Attacks in her eyes. But finally and I finally after she misses a Confuse Ray she falls to a bite and it ends......

http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/thumb/2/28/Relic_Badge.png/50px-Relic_Badge.png

I decide that the best replacement for now is a Magikarp in the pc and train it until it evolves. I'll honestly miss Flaafy. : ( That's all for now.

UPDATE #2.5

Spoiler:
Slight update on this one. I would call this update #3 but not enough happened for it to be one. First thing I did was blow the rest of my money on Great balls in Hearthome City. Battled Wally and ended it quickly.

Wasn't expecting any surprises on Route 209 but to my shock a legendary appears.

http://serebii.net/pokearth/sprites/dp/380.png

Latias/ Lv. 60

Due to a glitch in the game random lengendaries can make appearances apparently and before I knew it she was infront of me. Even with the level differences I decided I'll catch it anyway. Weakining it with Dragon Rage I throw a heal ball. Literally 3 rolls and it pops out. Switch out to Krucketune and used sing and for whatever reason there barely any rolls after this. : ( Doesn't help that she had recover either. Trying to be as careful as possible not to faint it I switch back out into Gyarados and spam Dragon Rage once more this time untiil theres only like 1 or 2 hp left. Again with the sleep it continues to not be captured....now I try to be risky since ut recovers again. I think to myself I'll use Focus Energy to hopefully boost the X -Scissor on Kricketune and get a crit. Surely a Critical hit won't take it out I think. She's 30 levels above how could. I get that lucky hit and I watch as her hp drops slowly until none remains.......the worst part is hearing the cheery "Exp gained" music right after.

Had to put the game down after that one.

-Dustox (Kog'Maw) [Level 19]
-Whismur (Cho'Gath) [Level 17]
-Zigzagoon (Gnar) [Level 17]
-Electrike (Viktor) [Level 16]
-Zubat (Vayne) [Level 16]

Note: No Exp. Share used due to it making the game too easy.

Also, would anybody be able to teach me how to post sprites in my updates? It's been a while and i've totally forgotten how, thanks in advance! :) Good luck to everyone in their nuzlockes!

  1. Find the sprites you want to include (I usually get mine from Bulbapedia)
  2. Right click > Copy Image Location (or similarly worded, depends on your browser)
  3. Click the little image icon (https://www.pokecommunity.com/images/editor/insertimage.gif) in the editor and add the URL you copied in the step above.
  4. Done!

UPDATE #3

Okay so things change in this update. Im not even sure if I can do this but after seeing how easy the other game was going I searched for a harder one and came across one with a lot more changes such as much higher levels, type changes, stationary legends etc. I took my save from last game and switched over to this one. A lot has happened since then and I can't remember all the details so some things may be a bit screwy.

Going to try to sum up everything that happened inbetween Hearthome and where I am now in the story. This is all based on broken memory due to my lack of logging all this. So events may not line up correctly or be missing complety. There were a lot of Pokemon lost but the how..........that's one thing that isnt remembered completely but the amount in Dead box is legit. This all took place during the inbetween. Honestly its better to say this update is going to suck. XD

- Made it to Solceon Town
- Got a seal case
- Did the ruin maze and got Defog along with many evolution stones.
- Evolved my Eevee with a water stone.
- Caught an Exeggcute on Route 210.
- Picked up like 80+ Moomoo milks at the Cafe.
- Caught a Staravia on Route 215.
- Arrived at Veilstone City
- Bought Fire Blast from the mart and taught it to Skunktank.

This is where I switch the Games I think.
Veilstone Gym
- The gym is ultimately where I notice the difference as all the trainers have mons that aren't in the Sinnoh dex.
- And lose the Porygon that was gifted to me.
- I still beat Maylene though I mostly just took advantage of both Gyarados and Staraptor's abilities.

- I had two new members at this point I think which was Staraptor + Spiritomb. Having two mons with Intimediate I must be unstoppable right?
- Lost Staraptor in Double battle against Team Galatic in Veilstone to a Skarmory who landed a critical Rock Slide. : ( As well as my Kricketune to the same.
- After putting them in the box I caught my next member, a Numel on Route 214.
- Put a Caught Skorupi from my box on the team abd trained it up to Drapion.
- Caught Girafarig at Valor Lakefront
- Arrived in Pastoria City
- Think I fought my Rival next to gym.
- Caught Tropius at the Great Marsh.
- Caught Quagsire on Route 212.
- Drapion was taken out on this Route.
- Battled against many trainers on the Route for Exp.
- Then lost Quagsire next to the trophy garden, to a Critical Psychic from a Noctowl who is Psychic/Flying in this game I think haven't checked.
- Caught Pikachu in the Trophy Garden.
- Caught a Celebi in Eternia Forest.
- Headed back to the gym in Pastoria.
- Cleared through and learned that Blastoise was Water/Steel while Empoleon was Water/Ice.
- Lose Drifblim to a Critical Ice punch. And Spiritomb to an Ice Beam.
- After losing them I find out you can pick up a Manaphy next to Sandgem Town.
- Trained it up with moves Bubblebeam, Acid Armor, Tail Glow, and the most helpful move which won me the gym was Grass Knot.
- Beat a Team Galactic Grunt and received the Secret potion from Cynthia.
- Took on Cyrus for the first time and received Hm Surf.
- First thing I did was capture Zapdos who doesnt Roam in this game and sits next to the Fuego Ironworks.
- And then Caught a Jirachi who is in the Solaceon Ruins.
- Trained them all headed to Canalave.
- Fought my Rival once more.
- Did the Iron Island challenge with Riley and recieved my Riolu egg.
- Caught RegiSteel though it fainted during the first battle so can't use it just wanted it for Regigigas.
- Headed back and stormed through the gym with mostly Torterra and Manaphy.
- Beat Roark's father with no problems.

- Fought Saturn at Lake Valor and lost my Manaphy to to Leaf Blading Gallade and yes it was another Crit. : (
- Decided to pick up a Glameow I caught earlier on Route 221 and trained it up to Purugly.

- Lost it to Mars of Team Galactic
- Headed toward Snow Point to beat gym and help my Rival.
- Caught Regice on my way there.
- Caught a Delibird on Route 216 after it took out my Skunktank with a Blizzard.
- Trained on Route 216.
- Lost both my Jirachi and a Rhydon (that Im still technically using for the story since he has all Hms needed for Mt Coronet) to a Jynx who set up a bunch of Calm Minds and used Psychic. > : (
- Decided to revamp my team a bit by catching a Mew that was in Lake Verity as well as the Rotom in the Tv who I switched to its Oven Form just for the sake of beating Candice at Snow Point.
- Caught Articuno on Route 217.
- Arrived at Snow Point.
- Started plowing my way to the leader and beat her using Rotom, Regice, and Mew.

- Did the short cutscene at Lake Acuity.
- Headed to Galactic HQ in Veilstone.
- Changed my team again by adding Lucario and Togekiss.
- Beat everyone after a lot difficulty.
- Fought against Cyrus once more with no issues.
- Fought Saturn for the last time and lost another mon to him this time being Togekiss.
- Released the Lake Trio from their hold.
- I had actually lost my Gyarados earlier in the challenge but I cant remember the Route all I know was that it was a Hippowdon who dodged Aqua Tail and took it out with Earthquake and the Sandstorm finished it off. So I decided to catch a new Magikarp and trained it up to the current levels.
- Made my to the top of Mt Coronet.
- Lost my Rotom to a Galatic Grunt.
- Added Articuno to the Team. Gave it both Mind Reader and Sheer Cold as an insult to the game As long as it lives two hits....something's going down for sure. > : (
- Finally made it to Spear Pillar after more team revamping.
- Lost the second Gyarados in a double battle against Jupiter and Mars of Team Galactic due to Critical Volt Tackle from her Electivire. > : (
- Bout to head into the distortion world right now.

Clemstar's Ultimate Nuzlocke Challenge - Omega Ruby - UPDATE #2

After starting to become bored of the challenge due to the game being too easy, I literally lose 3 of my favourite team members straight away. These casualties included Zubat (Vayne), a newly caught Numel (Brand) and a Machop (Braum) that was incredibly close to evolving.

I struggled (sort of) on to defeat the 5th gym and i'm just about to hitch a ride with Steven and Latias to do that sidequest. My newly evolved Swampert (Nami) is still the running MVP, roughly levels above the next party member. I'm trying not to use her as much but feel as though i'm forced to every second battle.

Team:
Spoiler:

Swampert {F} (Nami) [Level 38]

Xander729 February 11th, 2017 4:44 PM

I just wanted to say that my Sun Nuzlocke has now failed as well. I wiped to Totem Lurantis, Salandit wouldve beaten it if it didnt have synthesis. Not being able to heal in battle really screwed me, but its a good rule so I cant just spam Potions, Boss Fights should be hard. You may take me off the sign up as I will not restart and try again, If i Change my mind I will re sign up

Clemstar February 11th, 2017 5:09 PM

Just an update to say that I'd like to change my Ultimate Challenge to Single Challenge. So now i'm just going to try to complete Omega Ruby.
I don't think I have the time or motivation to do an Ultimate and I want to be able to try other challenges in the near future and not just be stuck on nuzlocke for like a year. Sorry for any inconvenience :)

UPDATE #3
My whole team got cucked by Aroma Lady Violet's overlevelled Vileplume on Route 123. I had a very bad feeling about my Swampert being 15 levels above everyone else. Damn that 4x weakness to grass. RIP Omega Ruby Nuzlocke :( Catch you all in another thread, or possibly this one at a later date!

http://www.serebii.net/pokearth/sprites/pt/484.png

Dialga/Lv. 78
http://serebii.net/pokearth/sprites/pt/483.png

Finally the battle begins. Thinking its going to be easy like last time I send out a newly aquired Whiscash first trying Earthquake his Weavile. He ice punches and sends me almost below half. Going going for another one he switches up and uses Night Slash and crits him to death. Frustrated but not beaten I send out Lucario and finishes him off with Extremespeed.

A whole new battle begins here.......apparently this game took his control of Sinnoh's deities seriously because he he sends out freaking Palkia next! Panicking I switch out to Articuno trying to use Mind Reader + Sheer Cold to end it quickly but he has Hydro pump and Articuno couldnt take another one so switching to Mew is the next option. He continues to hammer out Hydro pumps and Spacal rends and I heal until he finally switches to Earth Power. I also healed Articuno while having the chance. After plenty of Psychics Palkia goes down.

Next comes Probopass and this one easily falls to Torterra.

Dialga makes his appearence. Keeping Torterra in I go for Earthquake and he goes for Flash Cannon. Dialga hits the halfway point of his hp. And I can clearly take another Flash Cannon. Joking, I wondered about his signature move and in that instant the screen lights up as the Text Roar if Time appears. Its almost as uf his hp dissapeared immediately for Torterra my starter was gone. : ( Thankfully Lucario comes in and quickly avenges him and Dialga falls.

He goes for Honchkrow next but enraged, Articuno faints him with Ice beam.

His last mon Magnezone thinks itll do something as well before Lucario sends him flying with Close combat.

The fight was finally over and Cyrus takes his leave.

After his defeat I decide to capture Giratina as I really need him. I tried doing it usual way but after so many balls had been thrown I simply just threw my master ball.

The Team Galactic part is at the end.

- Decided to go legend hunting a bit afterward. Picked up Suicune, The 3 lake guardians, and tried for Raikou but Mew thought it was funny to hit him with a critical so that didnt happen.

- I add a Bidoof to my team but he faints during training.

- Added Vileplume to team to replace someone. : (

- Added Pikachu evolved it and then it fell after a Thunderbolt left one hp on Feraligatr and one shot me with Waterfall.

- Caught Ampharos on Route 222

- Added Giratina (too bad no Griseous Orb)

- Added Ampharos to the team.

- Currently in Sunnyshore city for the last badge.

Volkner

Spoiler Alert.
Spoiler:
Jolteon/Lv. 79
http://www.serebii.net/pokearth/sprites/pt/135.png

Raichu/Lv. 79
http://serebii.net/platinum/pokemon/026-m.png

Rotom-Wash/Lv. 79
http://serebii.net/heartgoldsoulsilver/pokemon/479-w.png

Luxray/Lv. 80
http://www.serebii.net/platinum/pokemon/405-m.png

Electivire/Lv. 80
http://www.serebii.net/pokearth/sprites/pt/466.png

Zapdos/Lv. 81
http://serebii.net/pokearth/sprites/dp/145.png

This battle wasn't too difficult he sent out Jolteon first and I used Light screen immediately with Ampharos. After chipping away at him power gem one Focus blast finished him off.

Rotom pops out next, sadly it turns out that his has Levitate and Giratina's Earth Power is useless. So its back to Ampharos and Hydro pump is hitting like a truck luckily he goes for substitute and the chance to use another light screen comes. After one discharge Rotom's substitute breaks and a few more Rotom's out to.

Luxray comes out next, for whatever reason it keeps spamming Volt Tackle (guess it had nothing else) lots of back and forth hits and another screen set up Luxray falls.

Volkner sends out Electivire, this one is a problem because even though Giratina is really defensive and has Earth power he keeps freezing and getting critical hits with super effective Ice punches. -___- After finally getting one or two turns Earth power easily takes care of him.

Lastly he sends out to my surprise a Zapdos. On the bright side his had nothing to touch Giratina with except for fly. So one good Shadow Force after he flew and the battle was over. No losses.

- Started making my way to Victory road.
- Got Rhydon out of box and taught Mew Waterfall.
- The swimmers were mostly easy thanks to Ampharos and Vileplume.
- Once arriving to the to center at the Victory Road entrance there was a man who gives you all the best battle items you could hope for.....focus sashes, choice items, stat boosting berries everything.

- Lost Vileplume to an Ace Trainer who Critical Ice punched her with a Dusknoir.

Lost Giratina to a Dragon Tamer who had Salamence with 2 Dragon Dances up.
- A second Dragon Tamer took out the Rhyperior I had caught on this Road (and was Vileplume's replacement) with a Dragon Dance Dragonite. And all because he missed Stone edge.

- The same trainer also has a Salamence who takes out more of my team. Ampharos and Mew both go down.

- I make it to the Pokemon league. There's a man there who gives you 6+ of every Tm so hopefully that helps. Dont have many pokes I can use against the E4 left.

- Tried catching Entei but he struggled to death.
- Tried catching Latios but he usd Memento.
- Caught Latias so thats a win.
- Might try catching Mewtwo.
- Redid the team again.

- Going to try beating my Rival and the E4 comes next.

Spoiler:

Barry

Spoiler Alert.
Swellow/Lv. 83
http://www.serebii.net/pokearth/sprites/dp/277.png

Feraligatr/Lv. 83
http://www.serebii.net/pokearth/sprites/dp/160.png

Sceptile/Lv. 84
http://www.serebii.net/pokearth/sprites/dp/254.png

Scizor/Lv. 84
http://www.serebii.net/platinum/pokemon/212-m.png

Salamence/Lv. 85
http://www.serebii.net/pokearth/sprites/dp/373.png

Infernape/Lv. 86
http://www.serebii.net/pokearth/sprites/pt/392.png

Barry was pretty easy I think. The first thing he tried doing was spamming double teams with Swellow and got taken out by Azelf and 1 Nasty Plot+Psychic.

Scizor comes out and Azelf takes out another with Flamethrower.

Feraligatr gets blasted by an Energy Ball and goes down.

After the majority of his team gets one shotted Sceptile lands one Night Slash since he's faster. But still another Flamethrower is another one gone.

Salamence was a problem I had to switch to Articuno. He goes for fly surprisingly. Turns out he had a Yache berry which let him take the hit. Articuno's at half and I thought he would do what most ingame trainers do and heal but instead........Outrage. A complete miracle that Articuno lives. I switch out to Lucario, he takes the next hit and Salamence is down to ExtremeSpeed.

His last mon Infernape is out against my Latias and one last Psychic is enough.
On to the final battles.....

And then.........

Spoiler:
This is it the end of the run. No more team replacements if anything goes down. Only healing if possible. I made sure to buy as many Hyper Potions, Full Restores, and even X items just for this since there's no leaving.

Here goes....(putting all the battles in this one update)

Spoiler:
http://serebii.net/diamondpearl/elite/elite1.png
Elite 4 Aaron

Yanmega/Lv. 85
http://serebii.net/pokearth/sprites/pt/469.png

Scizor/Lv. 85
http://www.serebii.net/platinum/pokemon/212-m.png

Vespiquen/Lv. 85
http://serebii.net/pokearth/sprites/pt/416.png

Heracross/Lv. 86
http://www.serebii.net/platinum/pokemon/214-m.png

Ariados/Lv. 86
http://serebii.net/pokearth/sprites/dp/168.png

Drapion/Lv. 87
http://www.serebii.net/pokearth/sprites/pt/452.png

This battle was a little difficult. First Aaron sends out Yanmega while I go with Articuno. One Ice beam should have been enough but he has a Focus Sash so he takes it. Instead of healing afterwards he switches to Scizor.

Scizor goes for Iron Head as I switch in to Suicune to resist it. After a Calm Mind and taking multiple hits from his X- Scissor Suicune ends the battle with a Surf.

Drapion's out next. Honestly I would have stayed in with Suicune but the X-Scissors and Cross Poisons were too much and it had to get out. Umbreon's in and even though X-Scissors super effective. Umbreon is literally just eating them all. Took the time to use two double teams and no more hits were landing. Also managed to heal everyone else. Switched back into Suicune and another Calm mind+Surf Combo takes him out.
I notice that he's sending out Heracross so I go to Azelf and Hera's out with one Psychic.

Finally Yanmega returns, and Articuno is back once more. He tries playing with Double Team and the misses begin. Then I remembered Mind Reader...Articuno locks on to him and Ice beam finishes him.

Ariados vs Suicunie went plently quickly. And lastly Vespiquen comes out and Calm Mind+Ice Beam is enough for the the end.

Moving on......

Spoiler:

Elite 4 Bertha

Hippowdon/Lv. 86

Swampert/Lv. 86

Golem/Lv. 87
http://serebii.net/pokearth/sprites/pt/076.png

Rhyperior/Lv. 87
http://serebii.net/platinum/pokemon/464-m.png

Groudon/Lv. 88
http://serebii.net/pokearth/sprites/dp/383.png

Coming face to face with the mon who wiped out the first Gyarados was fun. Set up 2 Calm Minds while it spammed Earthquake and let the magic happen Hippowdon never had a chance against my surf......at least since there were no crits from the other side.

Gliscor came in and suffred the an identical fate except it was an Ice Beam that did it.

Golem out. Looks like she planned cause Golem had a Passho Berry. Then one of my greatest fears, a crit thunderpunch! > : ( Good thing Suicune lives again. Healed up one last surf does it again.

Big sursprise here......she sends out Groudon and I honestly start getting scared. Turns out it too has Thunderpunch. But luckily its not as a bad as Golem. One succesful Ice Beam connects and a legend falls.....granted it was a legend vs legend but whatever.

She sends out Swampert and not surprised he has Rindo Berry which makes Azelf's Energy need two hits but the results are the same and Im safe.

Rhyperior is out last while I switch to Umbreon since I figure there's probably another....either Rindo or Passho berry. And try the Double Teaming trick again. I manage to toxic and heal the others but then she lands a Megahorn and Umbreon is lost.......to a crit.

Not carring about any berries and being very frustrated afterward, Azelf wins the match with one final Energy ball.

Up next.

Spoiler:

Elite 4 Flint

Houndoom/Lv. 87

http://serebii.net/pokearth/sprites/pt/467.png

Ho-oh/Lv. 89
http://www.serebii.net/pokearth/sprites/dp/250.png

Considering that Flint was all about Fire types Suicune was the best lead ever. He sends out Houndoom first which honestly gets taken down immediately by a surf only getting a little damage off.

Infernape next, he goes to a Psychic from Latias.

Sends out Flareon and burns Latias with Willo wisp and starts spamming Strength but still no troubles and Psychic takes another.

Ninetails turned out to be a problem since it happens to have Ghost as its second typing. After one Surf from Suicune I tried using Extremespeed and passed right through her. It wasn't until after I could heal that 2 Surfs did the trick.

Magmortar lands a a critical hit with Thunderbolt but luckily Suicune was almost at full health when it happened. A heal and another 2 Surfs takes down Mags.

And a trend begins. Another legendary rears its head in. This time Ho-oh appears and causes panic with his multiple Brave Birds, it becomes a struggle to heal and dole out hits. Bright side is by using that move he was slowly weaking himself for a final hit and taking advantage of it worked. Ho-oh was no more. : )

Hanging on......

http://www.serebii.net/pokearth/sprites/pt/475.png

Lugia/Lv. 90
http://serebii.net/pokearth/sprites/dp/249.png

Lucian......just before the battle I delete energy ball off Azelf and replace it with shadow ball just for this.

This battle starts off pretty nicely honestly. I have Latias vs Gardevoir and with the Soul Dew things should go well I think. First Dragon Pulse lands a crit on her. She retaliates with shadow ball and lowers my defense. No matter.....I go for another and only gets her to half. She throws another ball and crits me in return.......only Latias gets obilterated. : ( Trying to pay her back I send in Suicune to Extremespeed and she falls.

Lucian sends out Gallade this time as I use Azelf. He tried setting Swords Dance but I wasn't going to let that happen again and spam Shadow Ball until he drops.

Espeon pops out and tries setting up Calm Minds and I do the same with Suicune to take the damage when she finally makes a move. I do get Espeon to a little below half before another Critical shuts Suicune down for good..........> : ( Thankfully Lucario's Extremespeed is enough to end it before anything else was lost.

Next up Alakazam. Honestly think the Ai derped cause as I was getting scared of all the Calm Minds being used he never attacks my Azelf once.....I just whittled it away with Shadow Balls.

Finally Lucuan's Legend appears this time being Ho-oh's opposite Lugia. I didn't even blink I knew that I needed to use Mind Reader and Sheer Cold before it tried anything cause it is a pain trying to faint him. After a scary thunderbolt which did less than expected the One hit Ko technique does It again and Lugia is Frozen and fainted.

I thought it was over but Bronzong was still left. It tried setting up as well and Nasty Plot Azelf comes through at the end. Lucian will never be forgiven. -_____-

THE END is here....

Spoiler:

http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/d/d2/Spr_Pt_Cynthia.png
Champion Cynthia

Only 3 mons left against all this?........D : Just to be safe I made sure the whole team had Focus Sash's at this point.

Lapras/Lv. 89

Garchomp/Lv. 90
http://www.serebii.net/platinum/pokemon/445-m.png

Arceus Sky Plate/Lv. 91
http://serebii.net/heartgoldsoulsilver/pokemon/493-flying.png

The final battle begins. I haven't felt tense in a battle like this for awhile. Its Articuno out first against Spiritomb. I go for an Ice Beam to see how much damage could be done. Spiritomb shakes it off like nothing and uses.....Nasty Plot. With one Mind Reader left I use the One hit Ko Sheer Cold again and watches as he faints.

Blaziken makes his move. But Azelf is there to counter him. I set up a Nasty Plot as he goes for Flare Blitz. Not even using the Focus sash Azelf lives with 40 hp and blows Blaziken away with one Psychic.

Oh my goodness...... I read the text of how she is going to send out ARCEUS!!! All I can do is stare blankly at screen for a full minute before thinking of what to do next. Even after taking Flare Blitz I stayed in with Azelf just to see what type of Arceus this was (due to his type changing with his Plate items). Honestly I couldnt tell which one it was at this point but not caring and thinking the battle was over anyway I switched to Lucario as he goes for Shadow Force. Luckily in this Gen the Steel typing still resisted ghost/dark type moves and crucial for taking the hit that it did. Not knowing what else to do I set up Swords Dance as another Shadow Force takes place. Once again taking it I try being safe and used Rock Slide landing a super effective blow to him and almost downing him. But before I can use another move she sends out Garchomp.
Cynthia sends in Garchomp and more worries begin. This thing has ruined so many battles before but I had to try. First thing it does is take almost half damage from my Extremespeed which was meant for Arceus. Then as she Earthquake's I switched out to Azelf who had Levitate and avoided the blow. Now after losing soo many to this move I knew it was coming. OUTRAGE. Instead of switching to anything else I stayed in and healed Azelf as they began. One Crit would ruin everything but I healed and healed until after like 5 freaking turns he finally gets confused. He hurts himself and Azelf takes him down with a Psychic.

Cynthia returns to her trunp card Arceus as I go to Lucario again. This time I set up another swords dance. She switches her move to the signature Judgment but through a miracle Lucario lives on like 33. I heal once more and the Ai derps and Shadow Forces once more and I take the time to set up another one and after one Extremespeed the ultimate legend goes down. The documention revealed that it was Flying. I only had Rock Slide for Aaron's bugs but turned out it worked helping to take him down.

With only two left she goes for Metagross next. Honestly no switching could be done. Switching could end it all with a loss. So Lucario goes right in with its boosts and Eliminate's Metagross.

Her last is Lapras which I knew couldnt take the hit and one last Close Combat wins the Championship.

I'm.......seriously surprised I made it. XD But the Hall of Fame was here. :)

Battle started off well. Landed a good Sand Attack with Patrat after Mincinno missed a Sing. Next thing he shows is that he had swift so everything was pointless. Cheren starts abusing the move Work Up a bit, I tried to ko it quickly but before I knew it I was heal spamming. Sadly I didn"t have enough potions to outlast and had to let Patrat fall. : ( I come in with Tepig next and immediately he crits me with another Swift before I take it down finally with Flame Charge.

Buneary's out next and after healing more Work Ups begin. This time 2 Flame Charges do the trick.

Cheren's Ace Munchlax appears, I tried to set up a few defense curls and it looked like it would work but then.........once again a critical hit from a Rock Tomb silences Tepig. The battle was over and the Locke was loss as I wasn't able to collect any other mons. : (

Thinking about restarting this and grinding to a much higher level to avoid this next time.....

- Enter Cheren......

Munchlax/Lv. 14

After overleveling Cheren wasn't a problem this time around. The acursed Minccino returns and gets blasted in the face by a Revenge Water Pulse by Psyduck. Almost goes down immediately but hangs on by a thread. After healing, he literally tries setting up Work again but goes down after a second Pulse.

Cheren sends out Lilipup and it goes down in one Pulse.

Honestly everyone after gets blown back by Water Pulse except Teddiursa who tanks one but a follow up makes it share thevsame fate.

Lastly the previous Locke ender Munchlax shows up....it had to be Pignite who goes in on this one. Just like before I use defense curl, considering the levels not even a crit would matter at this point. I decide to use Flame Charge but the damage isn't enough (must be Thick Fat). After seeing how that went I wanted finish off in revenge by making use of Defense Curl so after using it again I followed it up with Rollout and Squashed him. : )

The battle was over!

- After everything was over I made sure to give Pignite the Tm reward that Cheren shared.
- Cleared the rest of the trainers on Route 20.
- Received a gift Cyndaquil in Virbank City.
- Caught a Magnemite in Virbank Complex after Double battle grass. I might have gone for the Growlithe but I had 2 fire types already so I had to let it go...
- Bout to head into the next gym.

Roxie sends out Trubbish and quickly goes for Toxic Spikes. Psyduck was my first choice so confusion had to be the first move. It's one shot but Psyduck still gets hurt do Trubbish's Artermath.

Croagunk comes out next slaps Psy with Fake Out powered up by a normal gem good thing the hit wasn't that bad and only chipped me some more. Trying to heal back up Croagunk almost takes a life Drain Punch but Psyduck holds on. After getting back to a decent amount of health another one shot this time to Croagunk from a confusion.

Here comes Koffing the Mvp. Thinking that another confusion can do the trick but Koffing literally eats it strikes back with a msssive Thunderbolt. 0___0 Once again Psyduck's in danger. I kept trying to heal but could nothing was working. I decided that even though they were knew Magnemite would be the next switch in to save Psyduck. It works, Magnemite easily shakes off a ThunderBolt. Managing to both confuse and paralyze Koffing with T wave and Supersonic the battle looks up once more. But Koffing ignores both and it's next move.......Flamethrower permanently blows Magnemite away. : ( Here's the best part from the grave Magnemite helpsbas Koffing gets paralyzed 3 times in a row but does get off a Toxic+VenoShock but still it was enough for me to power up with Pignite's Work Up and Flame Charge and it goes down.

- Collected more items like the Scope Lens
- Was gifted another Starter this time being a Bulbasaur
- Thanks to Rival tagging along in Castelia sewers I was able to choose between 2 mons in the encounter. Also thanks to him the Wild Gastly was cut down by Dewott so Trubbish it was in the end
- Not feeling ready for more trainer battles I needed to train
- There's a trainer on Route 4 who has a Togepi and Happiny, she battles you every time you leave and comeback so it (and speed up) was perfect for grinding more levels. : )
- Love that there were so many Vending Machines around, wound up with 80+ Lemonades
- Sadly there weren't any full heals available but the Casteliacones are a perfect replacement

- Finally after all the preparation we made way into the sewers and Team Plasma was easily dealt with due to more overleveling XD
- Met Colress
- Got Strength
- Caught a Woobat in Relic Passage
- The gym was next

- Cleared all the regular the trainers thanks to Emboar. Then there's Burgh

Was really hoping that we steamroll the leader just like the rest of the gym since it's nothing but bugs but Burgh is trouble. He leads with Accelgor and makes things harder immediately by having Rain Dance of all moves, Pignite's fire is nerfed. : ( But one Strength is enough after taking a Focus Blast.

His second mon Masquerain is out and I'm using Marshstomp, apparently his has Intimidate so another nerfing. D : I go for Strength and Surprise....he has GIGA DRAIN a 4x move! Yet somehow Marshstomp lives just barely. Im panicked and the danger music isn't helping. 0__0 I switch to Watchog next thinking one Return should send it away. But again a miss click occurs this time being Cut instead of Return. Good chip damage but not needed, a succesful Return after tanking a Scald another bug goes down.

I think the rain finally stopped around this time. He sends his Ace Leavanny out earlier and Pignite is ready to go again. Leavanny outspeeds and uses Aerial Ace cutting me down more. But Flame Charge should end it......Focus Sash it has. But thanks to the speed boost a second one takes out his Ace.
Then Scyther appears and gets downed quickly by 2 Strengths (Eviolite).

This one....Escavalier. I use Flame Charge again but the damage is weakend by his Occa Berry. Escavalier then uses Drill Run that has a high chance to Crit. 0___0 Luckily that doesn't happen but still a shocking moment as Pignite only survives on low amount of hp. A second Charge puts him away.

Lastly he sends out Vespiquen and not wanting to risk my starter I switched back to Marshstomp who was healed earlier and One shots her with Strength and the battle is over. : )

- After winning I made sure to evolve Pignite with a rare candy as he was just under the correct level (too bad he couldn't hit 35 before the fight but whatever).

- Currently fightning and grinding against Wattson in Castelia (all the Hoenn leaders are popping up in this game).

- Grinding levels didn't go so well. Watchog went down thanks to his Manectric....afterwards it was best just using the Exp. Share for everyone else except Emboar.
- Evolved everyone on the team
- More Lemonades and Casteliacones
- Went back to Aspertia City and caught a Magikarp
- Fought Colress (nothing special happened). Toxic spikes from Garbordor helped while dealing with Porygon but really this went pretty well.

- Took care of most of the trainers on Route 4.
- Caught a Cacnea in the Desert Resort
- Caught a Yanmask in Relic Castle
- Found the Tm for Bulldoze and taught it to Swampert
- Made it to Nimbasa City

- Battled the Leaders of the Battle Subway with Rosa
- Caught a Doduo on Route 5.
- After reading the documentation it turns out you can catch a Meleotta in the Music Building but the Level is too high so I'll have to comeback. : (

- Cleared all the trainers in Elsa's original and new gym.
- Currently training against Flannery before heading back.

Story

Spoiler:

- Big update, some things might off.
- During training with Flannery I wanted to train Munchlax on his own. While out against her Camerupt he exploded...Munchlax lived but thanks to being Willowisped earlier that extra burn took him out. x___x
- After that it was time to head back to face Elesa.

Zebstrika/Lv. 38

This part was stupid but in the beginning I used Venusaur against her Emolga thinking it had nothing but a flying gem boosted Acrobatics made my hp vanish. Swampert avenged him though with Strength.

She's about to send out Galvantula (and Im guessing it has a grass move) so the next choice is Emboar. One Flame charge revealed that it had Focus Sash and went for Thunderwave. -__- A few healings later and it worked without fail the next time with a nice speed boost.

Hoping for another one shot thanks to speed boost I stayed in when Lanturn comes out, thanks to it holding the Air Balloon Earthquake is useless and nothing else would work so another switch was made. : / Lanturn uses and lands a mighty Hydro Pump after getting back out into Swampert. 0__0 Overleveling strikes again and Swampert takes it. Lanturn uses confuse ray and a bunch healing shenangins goes on before popping his Air Balloon and finishing him off with Bulldoze.

Ampharos gets a Focus Blast off but another Bulldoze and he's out to.

She's about to send Zebstrika her against a Swampert for some crazy reason. XD I switched to Emboar and Earthquaked it.

Her last mon is Luxray and surprisingly even with Intimidate a Bulldoze from Swampert makes the hp goes to zero. Only one loss here thankfully.
.

- Caught a Swablu on Driftveil bridge.

- Arrived in Driftveil City
- Was able to start buying Moomoo milks, in this game you can also buy stuff like Heart Scales or Red Shards for the Move Tutors/Relearners in the City
- Caught Bonsly on Route 6. After getting it to remember Mimic I had a Sturdy Sudowoodo.
- Also caught a Foongus on the same Route hidden as a Pokeball
- Went all the way to ChargeStone Cave, can't recall what I lost but in that encounter I accidently one hit ko'd it.
- Received a Zorua from the Ex team Plasma members
- More training was done. Also took out a Cacnea and gave it training, evolved it and moves tutored.
- Tried fightning Norman who happened to be in the City almost got swept away thanks to his Slaking. 0___0
- After collecting everything I could I went to the gym
- Thanks to a glitch (I think) the whole gym was visible so getting to Clay was easy. Still fought all the trainers anyways.
- Clay was next

Clay.......sigh.

Hippowdon's out first against my Swampert. Thanks to being Gen 5 weather lasts forever so we're stuck in a permanent Sandstorm. -___- One Muddy Water ends up doing half so another one should do it......he switches to Seismitoad and soaks up the hit with Water Absorb.

With Seismitoad I honestly thought I could switch into Cacturne and take it down but I found out the hard way that the leaders have a plan for everything. A sludge wave to the face takes out Cacturne. : ( Back out to Swampert and by now I finally have Earthquake, I think it took 2 for it go down.

Golurk was his next choice but Muddy Water ended it before it became a problem.

Nidoking fell to an Earthquake pretty quickly as well.

His Krookodile took 2 Muddy Waters but in the end another triump.

Hippowdon returns for Round 2 but instead of risking a miss with Muddy Water I finished it off Earthquake.

For the first time in while the Ace comes last and it really is his.....ACE. I would have used Earthquake on Excadrill just like before but he's floating in the air with an Air Balloon. Swords dance.......after bad luck missing a M-water. Panic and fear.....I tried putting it to sleep with yawn he goes for EQ and it barely misses taking me out. 0___0 Good thing he falls asleep next turn. I switched out to Swoobat at least trying to bust the balloon....it worked but.....he woke up and obiliterated Swoobat with freaking Rock Slide. X___X I had healed Swampert during the attempt and tried yawn again. He goes for a SECOND SWORDS DANCE!!! This time I switched to Sudowoodo and thanks to Sturdy he lives on 1hp. Hoping he wouldn't wake up again I went back to Swampert one final time and clicked Earthquake the Rng was with me and Excadrill fell.

Only two losses somehow, Ive heard that Clay is called a locke ender so I guess I should be happy but Cacturne and Swoobat. : (

- Made way for the PWT.

- This part doesn't really need to be put in since it was easy. Everyone I fought here had their levels brought down to level 25 in the PWT. So it was beyond unfair and Im not sure I would count this as part of the challenge anyways.

- Dealt with more Team Plasma related stuff and was finally able to start heading for Driftveil City
- Caught an Unown and Volcarona after exploring in Relic Castle
- Caught a Tornadus on Route 6 next Cobalion's cave.
- Went to a few Hidden Grottos and caught a Combusken in one of them
- Caught a Pineco on Route 16.
- After getting through Chargestone cave I received a Master Ball. Headed back to Nimbasa and used it on Meloetta after a short battle.

- I think that covers everything......I gave some moves to Meloetta and Tornadus. Yeah that's it for now.

Story

Spoiler:

- Big update (again), some things might off. Two gyms in this.
- Received a Lucky Egg from Juniper
- Lost Garbodor while going up the Celestial tower but caught a Haunter right after.
- Trained against the trainers until Meloetta was 67, Swampert was 60, and Emboar was 60.
- In the gym My Tornadus got smashed by a critical Brave Bird from a Pidgeot. Just a regular trainer. DX

- Added Swablu.

Bad luck starts.....

In this battle I can't describe everything that happened in details. The game decided to pull a triple battle out of nowhere. I suck at these so it went horribly bad and I lost two Pokemon. The first being Sudowoodo and the second being the Foongus I was trying to train up. Now pointless. < : ( All this could have been avoided if I had noticed the shift option........in trying to keep Emboar from being fainted lots of uneeded switching happened. Hoping avoid triples from now on.

- Not sure if I already mentioned Route 7, think I might have lost the encounter...
- Arrived in Lentimas after a plane ride.
- Other than finding another Move Tutor not sure if there was anything worth noting here.
- Caught Grumpig on Reversal Mountain
- Lost what could have been a great later addition in Duosin at The Strange House. But the newly aquired Grumpig declined and got a knockout. x___x

- Darkrai was there. May return later.
- Made it to Undella Town.
- Caught a Mantyke in Undella Bay.
- Caught a Absol on Route 14
- Fought my rival, another battle not worth mentioning. My main 3 mons took care of him too easily.
- On route 13 I noticed double battle grass and and found a ????(can't remember the left one) and the other is Tangela. Thinking this would be a great replacement after Venusaur/Foongus I fainted the other and began trying to catch it. I thought yawning it with Swampert would work but suddenly he uses Giga Drain. Im literally 20+ levels above and somehow someway he takes me out. >>>>> : ( Even after being mad I still needed it anyways so I did and added to the team and evolved/trained it.
- Cobalion was also on this Route so I tried catching it as well. Before I noticed how many Sword dances had been used I watched as Meloetta had been Ko'd by Sacred Sword. : ( The Absol I HAD JUST caught had the same fate.......I couldn't lose anything else so running was the only option....

- Arrived in Lacunosa
- Re-added Psyduck and trained it to the current levels. Added Yanmask trained/evolved it.
- Fought Team Plasma in a double battle with my Rival. Lost the Grumpig I had caught.....
- Route 12 another double encounter. I think left was Swellow and right Heracross. Choosing Heracross resulted in another loss thanks to him getting a crit Megahorn......ugh. Still caught it anyways and did the same for the murdering Tangela and made it part of the team.

- Caught a Bibarel under the Village Bridge
- Lost whatever was on Route 11
- But Virizion showed up after so I went to catch this one (even though stupid stuff happened with its friendo earlier). Probably a bad idea to use Golduck but I wanted to put it to sleep. This backfired because more Swords Dance crap happened once more. Golduck goes down. The best thing happened next I used Cofagrigus. This thing is Ghost/Steel, Virizon could do nothing and after a lengthly battle I had a new legendary. : ) But still Golduck was gone.....replaced with Bibarel this time.

- Made it Opelucid
- Somehow lost my Cofagrigus to Altaria in the gym which is funny cause he would have been perfect for all these Dragon types.
- Bonus, a freaking Fraxure takes out my starter with an Outrage. Emboar....goes down to a non fully evolved pokemon with Outrage. All these battles and hits but this is what does it. Not even a critically hit......sigh.

- Remodeled my team completely and faced Drayden.

Druddigon sets up Stealth Rocks and Paralyzes my Virizion with Glare, managed to do good damage though. Dragon Tails her out and Bibarel is next. Bibarel has Moody so I got a speed boost and a Return knocks it out.

He sends out Haxorus earlier...now thanks to preparing and luck I used Gengar who had Hypnosis and Icy Wind along with Wide lens for a better landing chance. It worked!!! Haxorus went down.

Sends out Altaria who has Yache berry but it matters not Icy Wind does it again after 2.

Sends out Flygon, Ko'd immediately. Salamence goes out the same way as well.

His last mon is Hydreigon. The stealth rocks really messed up Volcarona but being faster made the problem pointless. He goes down to a Bug Buzz. This battle was won. Normally I dislike Gengar but he was the Mvp of this.

Getting ready to fight Team Plasma I think.

Pokemon Moon: Update 1

Spoiler:
2/22/2017
We're finally in Alola! The pokemon here are so different from the pokemon in the Kanto region, especially Meowth, the contrast is huge. I was reading a magazine earlier and read about this lady named Lusamine. She has really pretty eyes and her hair reminds me of Jesse from the Kanto region, the one who always chased Ash and his Pikachu around. (I hear he's in Alola too)

2/23/2017
Mom just had Meowth wake me up to unpack for some reason. It's pretty late but I can't question her. Professor Kukui walked in after I woke up. He seems like a cool guy but doesn't wear a shirt under his lab coat. I wonder if he has a weird tanline because of it.

Kukui said it's time for me to meet the Kahuna and get a Pokemon! I can't wait.

Pikachu is battling grass apparently and Yungoos and Alola Meowth are battling by yelling at each other. Alola is weird.

Kukui said the Kahuna looks just like the Kahuna. Alola is very werid. The girls are pretty though. I just saw a girl walk down the path I was going to walk through. She was talking to her bag so I have to remember not to drink the water here.

A pokemon jumped out her bag, so that explains the talking into the bag, it started getting attacked by spearow so I jumped in to save it, but it ended up saving me, but also putting us both in danger, so island diety Ex Machina and now we're both safe

Either I'm crazy, or she's glowing. Alolan girls are something else. It turns out her name is Lillie and she's Kukui's assistant. Hala is back. Apparently he's one of Alola's strongest trainers so between meeting a legendary pokemon and meeting a super powerful trainer, I'd say it's been an eventful 20 minutes

I finally met my partner. Kaede the Popplio. Here's to many victories and an amazing adventure. Kukui gave me the Pokedex so that's pretty cool too.

Hau's first words to me were "Let's have a battle". This is going to be a wonderful friendship. Kaede ended up beating him pretty easily and going up a level. Hau took the loss in stride.

Hala must have eyes like a Braviary because he saw a stone right through my bag. I don't know if I'm amazed or scared. Nebby escaped from their bag. Something tells me this is going to be a recurring thing

First time meeting my Mom and Kaede asks about a bar, I am ashamed

Kukui showed me how to catch a pokemon. I feel like I've been watching tutorials on how to catch pokemon for 16 or 17 years though

I caught Sam the Pikipek! He and Kaede will form a formidible duo one day I'm sure

Youngester Jimmy sounds a lot like a Alola version of my friend Joey from Johto. He also has an Alolan Ratatta

Naturall Hau has Pichu, who can kill both of my Pokemon easily

We beat Hau! In the name of Tapu Koko

I got met Rotom! He'll be useful

At the trainer school! Time to wreck these kids

I beat two of the kids then decided to rest. It's good to pace yourself always

2/27/2017
It's been an eventful 4 days. I've caught 13 pokemon, but lucky for me (If you can even call it lucky) I've only had four pokemon die.

It was terrible. The first to go was Sam. Sam was in battle against another Pikipek. He came so close to beating it, but it outsped him and killed him with an echoed voice.

Next was Kyrie, the Zubat. Kyrie was battling Butterfre. First turn it used Gust which didn't do much so I assumed I was good to keep Kyrie in. Unfourtunately for me, Assuming makes an ass out of you and me. Kyrie died to a confusion.

Cleopathra was last. She was killed by a Tackle from an SOS Lillipup. This was probably the hardest since she's been with me so long.

However it hasn't been all bad. I've made some new friends along the way. First was Volt the Magnemite. He's been Mister Reliable since day 1. Minnie the Rattata came soon after my first trial. Next was Tiffany the Oricorio. She and Zaya the Fearow, who I met as a Spearow helped me beat Hala easily. Benji was a quick pitstop at Ten Carat Hill for me. Afterwards, Velvet the Mudbray showed me her Stamina. Charterbus the Grubbin and Flake the Wishiwashi both came to me minutes from each other. Most recently I met Tate the Lillipup.

As for my trials, they all went well so far. I just beat Lana and I'm relaxing in the Pokemon Center at on Royal Avenue. The first trial was probably the hardest though. My plan was to paralyze the Raticate and then wittle it down slowly, but Bite kept flinching Volt so that took a while.

Hala was handled easily by Tiffany and Zaya.

Lana was handled by Flake. Flake is going to be a huge part of my team probably.

Next is Kiawe's trial, which I'm about to start soon. I heard he has fire type pokemon so Velvet, Flake, and mainly Kaede will be used a lot probably. I hope I can catch a Cubone at Wela too.
