I'm 26 years old, not 14!

Has anyone ever thought you were younger or older than you are? How do you feel about it? How many times does it happen?

It's happened to me before where people ask why I'm not in school. I get this impression of them thinking I'm in high school or something. I'm short for my age, and I could easily pass as at least sixteen. It doesn't occur often though either, but it does make me feel proud that people think I'm younger too. lol

Not sure this is a thread already.

Corvus of the Black Night December 21st, 2014 5:02 AM

People usually think I'm like 5-6 years older than I actually am.

Poki December 21st, 2014 5:49 AM

That's what being short is like.

Judge Mandolore Shepard December 21st, 2014 6:31 AM

This actually happened three years ago. I was at a store and one of the employees there thought I looked three years younger than I actually was.

Amaruuk December 21st, 2014 7:02 AM

Oh sweet lord this is the pet peeve to end all my other pet peeves because I am small and young-looking (seriously I look the goddamned same as I did at 16, at least in the face) and why can't I look my own age I'm in my prime not a damned teenager hrrrrrggghh. I feel like I'm doomed to look like a kid until I start looking like a crusty old lady. No normal, awesome adult in between.

It hasn't happened too recently but there have been some particularly egregious guesses in the last several years. Two separate people asked me if I was 14... in 2011 and 2012. First guy was like a 50 something that a teacher in college got me in touch with to do paid art for. We met at the actual school and he knew I was a college student. Maybe he was just out of touch with age brackets, I dunno. Second guy was some 20-year-old at a con. When I told him how old I actually was (at the time, 24. Kid was off by a whole decade for Pete's sake) he conceded defeat.

Hikamaru December 21st, 2014 7:32 AM

I'm 22 but I'm kinda short, around the size of an average 15-year-old. Given my "annoying little boy's" voice that I have it's very easy to get my age confused. Trust me, if anyone on PC ever saw a photo of me (which you have to hope you got the chance to since I never like posting pics of myself) you'd instantly think "how can she be 22? she looks 15".

Her December 21st, 2014 7:37 AM

not that this cougar is foolish enough to reveal her true age but it's been quite some time since i was carded for anything
i've always been able to get away with passing for older than i really am due to my height, facial hair and the natural charm i seem to exude from every pore in my body
but since i've been legal for some time in nz i've had no need to pull these little acts!

Yukari December 21st, 2014 9:41 AM

People almost always think that I'm older then I really am given my height. I'm about 6 foot 3-4 which is obviously a lot taller then your average 15 year old. (That would be around 5 foot 7, If I remember correctly.)

Tsutarja December 21st, 2014 9:54 AM

When I was a freshman and sophomore in high school, people always thought I was a grade older. By the time I was a senior, people thought I looked younger.

I've also always been asked my age when I go to lottery counters at different locations (than the usual place I get my tickets at). It's funny seeing clerks' reactions whenever I show them my driver's license.

Alfieri December 21st, 2014 9:55 AM

Me at 14-17 years old.
https://scontent-b-ord.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xfa1/v/t1.0-9/p417x417/998369_10201513061335048_1905500706_n.jpg?oh=76a0dfdc3031f1c0e85cf58bbd101ec5&oe=55027E09

I'm 19 and still look like I was 14, just with longer hair.

Warspirit December 21st, 2014 10:02 AM

Yes! Everyone always thinks I'm in middle school or a freshman in high school but I'm turning 20 next month >_> it's probably because I'm really skinny but my height is normal, in fact I'm "tall" in my city (5'4)
At restaurants they'd used to ask if we needed children's menus and at church somehow all these freshmen girls wanted to befriend me because they thought we were all the same age D: I don't even like talking to people younger than me unless they're very very mature.
Some people even think my brother is older than me and he's 15
But then people turn around and say it's good to look so young and I'll appreciate it when I'm older. I agree with that but darn lol.

Alexander Nicholi December 21st, 2014 10:04 AM

Physically, few people have mistake in my age. The confusion about how old I am often stems from how I act, how I talk, what I talk about.

I'm incredibly fluent with thoughts I've gathered and about a lot of subjects I have a jaded point of few, like an older person. People get thrown off by that a lot. Other things lend me to that, as well.

Sheep December 21st, 2014 11:12 AM

I'm 23 but people tell me I look 15-16, especially with my glasses, which is a good thing because I'd muuuch rather look younger than older lol. I look a little more my age without the glasses but still relatively the same for the most part. Nowadays I'm usually asked if I'm in high school or at the very most a college freshman... wahoo. :D

Alice December 21st, 2014 12:06 PM

When I was 21, I was walking across the edge of a high school campus, and one of their campus monitors stopped me and asked what grade I was in, because freshman aren't allowed to leave the campus during school hours... which means she thought I was a freshman, meaning she thought I was 14. Yeah.

Not complaining though, I'd much rather look young than old, haha.

Arylett Charnoa December 21st, 2014 12:15 PM

Oh, all the time. Like many people here, I am a young adult who often gets mistaken for a teenager. Like a 16 year old when I'm actually 22. I have an extremely youthful body and face and I am short. But there is another factor...

I am highly sheltered and naive. There are many things that I do not know about the outside world, so I come across as very childish and generally clueless/confused. My maturity level in general is similar to that of a teenager and I get along better with younger people than older ones, whom I tend to have little in common with. I don't even feel like I'm 22, so I don't mind if people treat me like I'm younger. They should, really. Because everything about me, save the amount of years I've lived, is still 16. That probably won't be changing for years to come.

This is only in real life though. On the internet, if my age isn't listed, people tend to think I'm in my 30's because of how eloquently they tell me I speak. As if they believe anyone younger than that wouldn't have anything intelligent to contribute. How rude.

Well it's like you said, young people are associated with inexperience so many people will take their words lightly.

Yeah, like this. People easily mistake me for being under 20. I'm not ;)

DRCM December 21st, 2014 3:03 PM

My voice is quite deep, so when I talk to people on the phone, they always assume I'm a bit older than I am.

Lotus the Cat December 21st, 2014 3:11 PM

People often think I am younger than I am. I'm 27 and get mistaken for early twenties. I dress my age, so it must all come down to my face. I moisturise twice daily and exfoliate so I'd like to think it's because my skin looks youthful. Although in the back of my mind I wonder if it's because I still suffer from acne and people tend to associate that skin condition with younger people...

When I was 18 I got hit on by a bunch of 14 year old guys who thought I was their age. That was awkward.

maccrash December 21st, 2014 3:16 PM

eh I think people mostly think I'm my age considering I never really hear any comments about me being any older or younger. at first some people online may mistake me for being older than I am but that illusion quickly shatters when you actually get to talking to me.

Dreg December 21st, 2014 6:15 PM

I look 10 years younger than I actually am. I'm 24, and I've had people say a different age range as to how old they think I am. Around 12-17 is what I got, whereas most people thought I was 14. It's great knowing that you could be 50 and still only look around 30.

twocows December 21st, 2014 7:18 PM

About two years ago (so I would have been 22), some other customer at an auto repair shop in the early afternoon asked why I wasn't in school. At that point, I had just finished my last course in my computer science degree and had basically graduated (though I don't think I physically had my degree yet). He seemed a bit embarrassed when I told him, but I didn't really care. Well, maybe I cared a little bit, lol. That's probably the most drastically someone has ever guessed my age wrong. Usually most people figure my age correctly, I look about how old I am, I think.

Jayce December 21st, 2014 8:27 PM

People often think I'm a few years younger, probably thanks to my height (I'm about 5'2"). It can be a little annoying, but not too big a deal. Wearing makeup seems to help though; I've noticed that it's generally when I don't have any makeup on that bus drivers give me a Youth ticket (before they see how much money I actually put into the machine).

Sydian December 21st, 2014 8:52 PM

ALL THE ****ING TIME AND IT PISSES ME OFF SO MUCH. I get this almost every day and it really gets on my nerves and the other day, I almost snapped on this man because he took it too far. I can tolerate the stupid jokes to an extent. They all annoy me, even when someone tells me that I look young as a compliment. I just don't take it as such. Yes, I will appreciate it when I'm 40, but I'm not 40 at the moment. I'm a very agitated 22 year old.

Anyway, this man the other day, good LORD. He was ordering dessert and he said he was going to share a slice of cake with his wife and she made some comment about having to share. I said, "Us women don't like to share our desserts" as a joke and he was like "Woman? You aren't a woman! I have shoes older than you!" Well ONE, you need to through your goddamn shoes away. Two, that's so damn rude. It's one thing to tell me I look young and all that. And prior to this incident, he said he thought I was in middle school (which made me pretty mad too), but to say I'm not a woman? That's just too far. I bit my tongue and didn't say what I wanted to say and instead went to the kitchen to rant to everyone in there. They looked scared of me after I finished lol.

ANYWAY. Be careful who you decide to say those things to, because if you find someone like me and say it to them, they are an explosion waiting to happen. It's a pain in the ass to not be treated like my actual age, but as the age people think I look like. That's where most of my frustration comes with this.

Aisu December 21st, 2014 10:33 PM

People always get my age wrong and it's really freaking annoying. I get guessed around ten and twelve and I'm in high school! That's highly annoying, especially when I'm still in my school uniform and am wearing the damn high school student I.D.

Treecko December 21st, 2014 10:39 PM

I have been mistaken for being 15 or 16 whenever I don't have a beard or any facial hair. Which is why I usually keep my beard because I actually look like an adult.

Ice December 22nd, 2014 2:05 AM

People always think I'm older, although recently the difference between guessed age and actual age is getting smaller. People been thinking I'm 18 since I was 14, and now I'm 17 people guess me at around 20.

pkmin3033 December 22nd, 2014 4:37 AM

I haven't really changed in appearance since I was eighteen, and people STILL ask me for ID sometimes...it's aggravating, because I don't have any ID that they would accept. I suppose I don't really look 25, but I would hope I don't look like a teenager to other people...it's quite depressing sometimes. Although I expect when I get older I'll wish people stopped overestimating my age; that happens to my mother quite a bit, and it drives her MAD. xD

Keiran December 22nd, 2014 5:03 AM

While I'm at work people will ask, "is it legal for someone so young to be working?" Several coworkers have been surprised to find out that I'm really 23, thinking me to be 17. My mother looks decades younger than she is, and my 38 year old sister looks like a young adult. I guess we just have good genes. I literally look exactly the same as I did when I was 15-16, so I don't take insult to the comments. When the majority of the world would kill to be, or look, younger, I don't really mind the comments at all.

IggyKoopa December 22nd, 2014 6:14 AM

I'm 16, but I definitely look older. I get student discounts in places every now and then, and I was once approached by a local politician to whom I had to explain that I'm not even 18 yet, and he still didn't buy it.

Mark Kamill December 22nd, 2014 6:40 AM

I', 21 going on 26 apparently. Always made hitting the bars easier.

Magic Christmas Lights December 22nd, 2014 7:40 AM

This happens to me all the time. I'm under 5' tall so people regularly think I'm a high school student. I actually just graduated college. It cracks me up.

Mawa December 22nd, 2014 9:35 AM

I am 21 and some people think I am 16 or 18 years old. I don't like to look younger.

Ruma December 22nd, 2014 10:42 AM

This happens to me all. too. often.
I'm about to be 20 this month, and I'm commonly mistaken for someone between the ages of 14-17. I'm not sure how to feel about it, but I don't think it's a big deal. At least I'll hopefully still look young when I'm older, haha. I'm kinda short at 5'3" and small in general, and I have kind of a young looking face.
Doctors often mistake me for 15/16.
My 100 year old great aunt who's losing her memory looked at me yesterday and thought I was 14, lol.

#20goingon15

Bounsweet December 22nd, 2014 10:53 AM

It's happened so randomly with me with no consistency that I think it really just depends on the particular person and what they consider to be childish/mature features, honestly lol...

It doesn't really happen as much anymore, though. When I was in my mid-teens I was mistaken for a late teens/early 20-something year old, but I guess I've just finally caught up with how I look or something because I never get those "oh, but you look like a # year old!" responses, idk lol.

In my own opinion though, I think I look more like a 17 or 18 year old rather than a 21 year old, but I contribute that to my baby face and my clothing style.

mikey December 23rd, 2014 2:21 PM

People usually think I am younger than 22. I have a coworker who thought I was 19. I don't really see it haha. But I havent had anyone think I was older yet.

Danny0317 December 23rd, 2014 2:22 PM

Someone said I look 12 yesterday.
I'm almost 15 ;_;

Altairis December 23rd, 2014 3:03 PM

Well, I kind of forget how this started but there's a joke on the Battle Server where everyone says I'm 12 but I'm really 17 ;( I think it's because I type a lot differently on there - MORE CAPS and stuff like that!!

RomCom December 23rd, 2014 9:45 PM

The day I stopped getting ask for age identification at the bottle shop. THEN. I will feel like my age...

Pinkie-Dawn December 24th, 2014 12:29 PM

No one has commented on how old I look except for Galoria. I'm 22, but I look like I'm in my late 20's due to how my face looks followed by my moustache.

Blastin'Tyruntz December 24th, 2014 12:35 PM

By the way i talk to people on the internet, until i tell them i'm nearing 17, they usually think i'm about 21-22.
irl, i somehow passed as 18 and 14...weird. I don't think i look 14,and i'm 5'8...which is pretty average around here at my age. So i guess some people are dumb...

Lunaris Adamantine December 24th, 2014 2:56 PM

I used to be mistaken for being younger than I actually was, but it hasn't happened in a long while. The most likely reason for that is because I haven't talked to anyone who doesn't already know my age. Though people tend to agree that my face looks like an 18 year old, even though I'm currently 23. Even my beard looks like it is a teenagers first facial hair.

That sort of youthful looks seems to run in my family. My parents are both around sixty, and (if they tried to keep themselves healthier) could easily fool anyone that they were around 40 or possibly even younger.

soda_fox December 24th, 2014 3:32 PM

I'm 24, and haven't really had anyone ask my age recently other than older folks who think I just look young in general. But a year ago, I was pretty frequently asked my age (lived in the city at the time. Now I live in a small town, less people, don't get asked as often), and people were often surprised. Some people thought I was older than I was- I'm a bit of a workaholic and perfectionist, so some of my coworkers found me more ambitious than other people my age. Others thought I was younger than I am, because I'm fairly naive and energetic.

Pepperton December 26th, 2014 9:04 AM

I actually get mistaken for older than I am, because of my beard. I like it. :]

Pendraflare December 26th, 2014 7:58 PM

I can't remember if I was ever told this, but if you were to tell me I would not take it hard at all. Because while i'm 23 2/3, I definitely think I don't look that old. Some have told me they think I do look as old as I am, though.

Brendino December 26th, 2014 11:55 PM

In the span of the past week, I've both been asked what high school I was going to (despite having graduated almost 5 years ago), and not getting ID'd when buying lottery tickets (not only is it against the law to sell them to anyone under 19, but it's against the law to not ID anyone that looks under 30). Not that I have a problem with people thinking I'm older/younger than I actually am, but it always baffles me that I get such a wide range of ages guessed depending on who I'm talking to.

This is gonna sound like I have a huge ego, but I think most girls can relate to the creepy old-dudes-hitting-on-you side of the age guessing mistakes? T-T

I'm 17 years old, and for some reason I get thought of AND seen as much older. Late last year when I was working at Taco Bell (*long exasperated sigh*) I wore bangs, which made me appear much older. I had college age guys (and..much older) come in and hit on me from time to time and then get very weirded out when they all played 'guess her age' and realize they were about 7 or 8 years off. x: Merp. Kinda awkward enough when it's from a mental standpoint, it's a whole other kind of weird when the physical aspect is brought in, especially depending on how far it goes.. and people like to take it there. -.-

I've had my fair share of guessing way off with people's ages, though. I remember a few months back meeting a girl (who has thankfully become a pretty good friend of mine) what high school she was currently attending, having her embarrassingly reply that she was about to graduate college. *shrugs* It happens to everyone at some point, I guess. The less awkward that both people make it, the better. I'm sorry though, if they make it super sexual or over-the-top rude, it's their own damn fault for being weird/creepy/a jerk if people get mad. XD

Meganium December 28th, 2014 1:32 AM

I'm 24 and people think I'm 17 or 18. I've been told that for years. :(

Espurr_Kawaii December 28th, 2014 3:13 AM

Honestly, im 24 of age. Damn its too older lol. But the look / see with other people of me im 14 of age haha its too young than i though. But i accpted what they say..Its depend what people they think about you! ^_^ ..All of us, is going older and older XD .

Sylphiel December 28th, 2014 10:56 AM

Not recently, but a few years back at least I kept getting mistaken for a high-school aged person - I think people kept guessing around 18. Suffice to say...I was definitely not still that age, and definitely not still in high school.

Although it was a pleasant change from when I was younger, when people always thought I was a few years older than I really was.

Toddler Naruto December 29th, 2014 2:04 AM

I'm 25 years old (26 in Jan 2015), but alot of people think I'm 20 before I correct them.

TBH, I wish I looked and was younger, like grade school age...but until science can make aging backwards become a reality thru DNA/genome coding stuff, it's only in my dreams and ageplaying etc.

Dedenne1 December 29th, 2014 2:53 PM

Umm usually people think im older due to my maturity haha. Although sometimes i do forget my age like people ask my age I'll say 1 year younger than i am sometimes thats how forgetful i am haha.

Skip Class December 30th, 2014 2:18 AM

It can get incredibly frustrating sometimes since age-wise they'll think I'm way younger than what I am.

When I was 17 people would think I was somewhere around the 12-14 range and because I had short hair they'd think I was a young preteen boy which is kind of depressing.
Now that I'm 20 it's become 14-17 which is a little better, but still kind of sad.

Played at a casino for the first time since it's R20 here, and even before I got there, a lady asked me outside what my age was (and it wasn't even the R20 zone). Still wasn't convinced even if my family was there and I showed her my ID so that was kinda annoying...

Mesty92 December 30th, 2014 4:12 AM

I'm 22 but people think I am 18. Kind of annoying sometimes.

Hannah December 30th, 2014 5:27 AM

Online, a lot of people think I'm around seventeen because of my so-called maturity. It's very flattering, considering the fact that I do kind of think of myself as mature, but now that I've heard tons of people tell me that, it's getting a bit annoying.

Offline, however, many people think that I'm the older one between my sister and I. (She's sixteen and I'm almost fourteen.) I think it's because I'm taller than her by, I don't know, several inches? So whenever I say, "No, I'm the younger one," people tell me, "Oh, you're just so tall" and I just kind of smile all smug to make my sister angry heh.

Candy December 30th, 2014 8:23 AM

I never thought I would end up posting here but...

I was at the beach last Sunday. Let's just say that someone thought I was still in Junior High when I'm already attending College. Man, now I feel short. Again.

MoonLight December 30th, 2014 8:59 AM

Oh God I deal with this all the time im 32 years old and people think im like 16 I always get hit for Id. I usally just have it out now because I know they are gonna ask for it anyways lol been dealing with this for years lol

skyluigi2 December 30th, 2014 1:12 PM

People pretty much always think I'm younger than I am by a couple of years. It's kind of funny, to be honest... I'm the second oldest person in my group of close friends and yet I look the youngest. Shouldn't complain, I suppose!

Blade_of_darkness December 30th, 2014 4:35 PM

If I shaved my huge beard, people would see me as 20 years old. I'm actually several years older than that. Whenever I told them my actual age, they were taken aback from that.

I'm sure that it would be a different story if I still had a portion of my beard. I'll likely never know.

CoffeeDrink January 2nd, 2015 12:48 AM

People have no clue, so when I tell them they still can't believe me so I lie and say 30. 30 seems to be what I can pass for, so I've been in my thirties for some time now. Perhaps all the coffee has given me immortality? Speed me up and yet slowed down time? I may be on to something here.

blue January 2nd, 2015 9:18 AM

I'm 21 and look about 16-17 so yeah all the time.

maccrash January 2nd, 2015 9:42 AM

yesterday I got mistaken for a 20-something at the airport. there's no way this person's eyes are functioning properly

Pepperton January 2nd, 2015 9:50 AM

When I grow my beard out, people think I'm a few years older than I actually am. Other than that, I'm pretty much the average size so there isn't much confusion.

Livewire January 2nd, 2015 10:23 AM

I quite often get mistaken for a 19-21 year old when I'm nearly 25 now. Lack of facial hair, coupled with wavy blonde hair and a baby face throws people off, apparently. :p

scorel January 2nd, 2015 3:32 PM

i have been confused to be younger than my actual age, probably due to my height. i am the shortest one in my group of friends.

some cases have happened that people thought i am older than what i actually am but that is very rare. i dont even know how.

LilyAnn January 2nd, 2015 5:07 PM

Last month on the night before my 21st birthday, the waitress serving our table thought I was 12. xD It amuses me when I hear a persons guess for my age. They never go past 16 xD Happens a lot too.

Joexv January 3rd, 2015 8:11 PM

People always thought I looked like I was 13/14, when Im actually 17.
I used to get it every day, it was super annoying. I ended up cutting my hair and it stopped lol.
Maybe u guys should try that.

Akiba January 3rd, 2015 8:43 PM

Throughout my history on PC, numerous people have mistaken me for being five to ten years older than I really am.

I've gotten used to chatting with 22-year olds on here like classmates.

TwilightBlade January 4th, 2015 10:38 AM

I feel like I look 15, but recently some more folks are believing that I'm 22. My co-workers stopped referring to me as kid and started referring to me as woman or lady. Other than that, I sometimes even get the dreaded Ms. (last name here). I don't want to be an old fart. :(

Qwestry January 4th, 2015 2:19 PM

Embrace it sistahs!! As for me, I have these dark circles under my eyes that will not go away. MUST.... STOP.... AGING!!!

Yukiyo Kayume January 5th, 2015 12:00 AM

Yea all the time. I work as a cashier and constantly am bothered by supervisors/customers whenever I ring up alcohol or whatever. "OMG, u arent old enough!"

yes, I am 23. lol it's kinda funny i guess. at least they dont think im 6 years older, right? hehe

I was visiting my mom a few month ago, and i had to go and buy a pack of marlboro, and the girl asked me for ID (i'm 36) oO that has never happend to me before, i was shocked.

Polonaise January 6th, 2015 8:45 PM

I'm 14 at the moment (and one of the younger members, haha) and I'm turning 15 in May. On other forums people kept thinking I was older (lol!), but irl people think I'm in 6th grade. xD

Bobbylicious January 7th, 2015 6:20 AM

My age is 19
If I haven't shaved then Iook 16/17
If I have then I look 15/16
If I have make up on then I look 15

I actually look really young for my she and it's annoying as fuck.
I remember speaking to my tennis coach 2 years ago and he's like "you're what? Turning 15 this year" and I'm like "m8 I'm 17 turning 18"

EmeraldSerenade January 7th, 2015 4:50 PM

I am eighteen years old, and I'm turning 19 next week, but I still get carded whenever I go out with my friends due to the fact that I'm on the short side..

Parivir January 9th, 2015 6:07 AM

I'm 16 and 178 cm (unusually tall by local standards); shaven, I look about my age, but my beard grows ridiculously fast and I look maybe 20-22 if I stay away from the razor for a week or two. Which is convenient because local cinemas sometimes card you for particularly violent movies, and with a beard I can get away with it every time.

RaRa91 January 9th, 2015 11:37 AM

I'm 23, turning 24 in a couple of months. When I don't shave I look my age, which is nice because I haven't fully shaven off my facial hair since high school - I just trim.

Although sometimes it still happens. When I was 21 in Vegas some nightclub bouncer thought I was younger and that I was using a fake ID. :/

Sonata January 9th, 2015 3:02 PM

I actually got told I looked like a 12 year old a few months ago and it really pissed me off. I mean, with my beard shaved I look like a little kid but I didn't have my beard shaved and it just really upset me because the person who was trying to call me a little kid was younger than me.

Star-Lord January 10th, 2015 7:44 PM

I've been able to grow facial hair since I was like 15 so I've had people ask me if I was in University lmfao

everyone thinks I look older than I really am. I'm not even that young but like... damn lol.

acatfrommars January 10th, 2015 11:56 PM

I think I look about 17. My brother is 2 and a half years younger and we look very similar which can get annoying, because it makes me look younger. However, the facial hair allows me to look older, but when I shave it people say I look like a baby. >:c

esperance January 11th, 2015 7:25 PM

Best example I've got is when I was 15 I was at a restaurant and the waiter offered me some alcohol. {XD}

Sir Codin January 12th, 2015 9:10 AM

> "Why aren't you married yet? You're in your thirties."

...I turn 24 next month.

ANARCHit3cht January 12th, 2015 10:30 AM

Before I changed my hair I guess I generally gave people the impression that I was a few years older than I actually was. Now that I've changed it, I guess I look younger--but they never did really indicate if I look younger than I actually am or younger than what I looked like before which seeing as how I looked older before doesn't explain much! It doesn't bother me at all. Hell, I wish the bouncers at the bars thought I looked older so I didn't have to be ID'd!

Ok, so maybe not a bar. But next year at the fair if I have a beard going I might just try my luck. I've known a few people who've done it so it shouldn't be hard!

Somniac January 12th, 2015 12:51 PM

I get ID'd for alcohol which I accept and expect because I'm pretty short, however I got ID'd for an energy drink the other day.

In the U.K. that's an age of 16.

I'm 22.

Yeah.

Nakasu January 12th, 2015 6:51 PM

All the time unfortunately. When you're short you have to deal with everyone thinking you're in Elementary school. They worry about you too much, and it's embarrassing when someone else has to reach for something for you. That was the majority of my High school Freshman-Senior year. I'm 4'9 so i get constantly annoyed by people thinking i'm young or whatever. But then again, at times it can be very helpful ^_^

Neko January 14th, 2015 2:21 PM

I've had more people guess that I'm older than I actually am. Being 22, it's not a very good feeling lol. Though, there's always that rare occasion when somebody assumes I'm younger than I actually am!

Shiny Bunnelby January 14th, 2015 7:17 PM

I'll be 23 in a couple months, but thanks to my height, people still think I am around 16/17 years of age. It's not fun, especially when I have my daughter with me. Those judgy stares and comments, man.

kyuubi93 January 14th, 2015 8:28 PM

I'm 22, and without my facial hair, I pass for 18. With my goatee, I've gotten 24. And I look my age with my 5 o' clock shadow.
