11 I mean Eleven is closer to 20 than 0...

Meadow April 2nd, 2015 8:55 AM

BOO! Whoops, wrong thread.

10.

Raichu race confirmed, eh? That name kinda reminds me of "Rhyhorn racing" from the XY anime.

El Héroe Oscuro April 2nd, 2015 8:57 AM

11

How dare you try and off Raichu? He's adorable ):

Precious~Dark April 2nd, 2015 8:59 AM

12

yes, look at the cute little Raichu!
http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m8n781oUfF1r1oakno1_500.gif
adorable...

Meadow April 2nd, 2015 9:01 AM

11. *clears throat*

Hmm, proper(?) topic here: Who is your favorite Elite Four member, and why?

El Héroe Oscuro April 2nd, 2015 9:02 AM

12

If I had to choose between Pikachu and Raichu, Raichu all the way as its preevolution is poo poo.

Meadow April 2nd, 2015 9:05 AM

^Not necessarily.

11.

As for my favorite Elite Four member, I'm gonna have to go with Lance for the heck of it. The others never really stood out to me as much.

Squirrel April 2nd, 2015 9:13 AM

12

I guess my favourite E4 member is probably Flint - I don't really care for any E4 member honestly, they all seem so boring and insignificant to the whole plot, but at least Flint's team is cool :D

Meadow April 2nd, 2015 9:16 AM

11.

Yep, I can pretty much agree with that haha. The Gym Leaders felt more fleshed out in my opinion. xD

classiccartoonsftw April 2nd, 2015 9:21 AM

12.

I guess I'll do my favourite E4 members per generation.

Gen 1 - Lance
Gen 2 - Koga
Gen 3 - Drake
Gen 4 - Lucian
Gen 5 - Shauntal
Gen 6 - Wikstrom

Pendraflare April 2nd, 2015 9:27 AM

13

I think my favorite Elite Four member would be Marshal, as he makes appearances outside of the league and was Alder's student.

Meadow April 2nd, 2015 9:31 AM

12.

@classic I gotta agree about Lance and Shauntal being my favorite in their respective generations. Unfortunately, I never paid too much attention to the other generations' Elite Four members, so I can't comment on those.

classiccartoonsftw April 2nd, 2015 9:34 AM

13.

@Revise It's okay. Game Freak never did much with the Elite Four.

Meadow April 2nd, 2015 9:39 AM

12.

True. I personally think it would be pretty cool if they had a bigger role in the story. I mean, this kinda applied to Lance in Generations II and IV, but by that point he was already the champion, haha.

blue April 2nd, 2015 9:46 AM

13

Kinda hard to choose some favourite E4 members. Mine are probably Aaron, Agatha, Karen, Phoebe & Caitlin.

Meadow April 2nd, 2015 9:50 AM

12.

Oh, I forgot about Agatha, haha! She was pretty cool too, and it seems that she goes wayyy back with Oak.

alisaie April 2nd, 2015 9:57 AM

13.

Mmm I'm not sure who are my favorite Elite Four either. I guess off the top of my head I would have to say Phoebe. 8)

Astinus April 2nd, 2015 9:59 AM

12

I can't really choose my favorite E4 members. When I play through the Pokemon games, I always stop right outside the E4 because I can't be bothered to level-grind. So the last E4 that I beat was way back when I played FireRed a year ago.

So...Lance I guess? He trains dragons, and dragons are cool.

RUDE

classiccartoonsftw April 2nd, 2015 10:04 AM

13.

Why would you stop playing before the Elite Four? After all, they're the final trainers you need to defeat to beat the game.

Meadow April 2nd, 2015 10:06 AM

12.

It's pretty understandable, considering there's usually nothing but the postgame after the E4. I guess it all comes down to how much the postgame really appeals to you.

alisaie April 2nd, 2015 10:09 AM

13.

I can understand not wanting to face the elite four because can't bother with level grinding. Up until XY I was always underleveled by the time I faced the Elite Four so most of the time I would just go in and do the best I can with a lot of restarting because I am a cheater.

classiccartoonsftw April 2nd, 2015 10:12 AM

14.

I, however, have grown to like level grinding thanks to Visual Boy Advance.

alisaie April 2nd, 2015 10:39 AM

15.

I find myself never liking grinding in Pokemon ever. VBA, actual game, etc. There are very few games that I'm okay with grinding with in general and only if there is something on the side to be working on as well.

classiccartoonsftw April 2nd, 2015 10:46 AM

16.

When I was a kid, I was too lazy to grind myself.

Meadow April 2nd, 2015 10:49 AM

15.

I used to not be such a big fan of grinding, but after playing really difficult games like Dragon Quest IX, grinding has become complete child's play when I'm playing Pokémon.

Squirrel April 2nd, 2015 11:10 AM

16

I'm always really OCD about keeping my Pokémon equal levels throughout the story so grinding at the end is never a problem from me - it does end up making the games in general more dull though :D

Dedenne1 April 2nd, 2015 11:15 AM

15
Ya same gotta come clean and admit it :P

blue April 2nd, 2015 11:29 AM

16

I can't stand uneven levelled Pokémon, all my team generally stay about the same level. If I've got an upcoming Gym Leader fight, I'll usually grind the whole team to a specific Level.

classiccartoonsftw April 2nd, 2015 11:33 AM

17.

I also mostly try to keep my team close to each other level-wise, though I wouldn't mind my starter, a pseudo-legend, or a Pokemon that takes long to evolve at a higher level. But once I've reached the Pokemon League, I grind my Pokemon to equal levels.

Meadow April 2nd, 2015 11:37 AM

16.

Yeah, I can't help but to keep them equal as well. The problem is, I'm too obsessive about it, haha.

Dedenne1 April 2nd, 2015 11:53 AM

15
Equal leveled just seems appropriate if one of my pokemon is 61 and the other is 54 i send out the 54 and it dies and then i send out the 61 and it takes out the entire elite 4 haha

Precious~Dark April 2nd, 2015 12:07 PM

16

I prefer to keep my pokemon around the same level, I try to only use around 6 pokemon in the game. I like to switch the pokemon in my party a lot. I don't use my starters more than my other pokemon.

El Héroe Oscuro April 2nd, 2015 12:08 PM

17

Not that it's that difficult to get Pokemon to stay equal leveled thanks to the refining of the Exp. Share in newer generational games. I have mixed feelings about that to say the least.

classiccartoonsftw April 2nd, 2015 12:11 PM

18.

I used the new Exp. Share in Pokemon Y because it was new, and I was always overleveled and overpowered as a result. I decided not to use it in Alpha Sapphire, and it wasn't too easy for me, nor too hard.

Precious~Dark April 2nd, 2015 12:12 PM

18 19

Yes me 2, In AS/OR I used one pokemon only for HM. I haven't battled with it ones against other pokemon, trainers & gyms. it only stayed around two levels behind.

classiccartoonsftw April 2nd, 2015 12:17 PM

20.

At last, Raichu is safe! XD

Dedenne1 April 2nd, 2015 12:33 PM

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Oh well next is Sandshrew!
11.
Im pretty for sandshrew he can be a very cute pokemon!

classiccartoonsftw April 2nd, 2015 12:37 PM

12.

I say Sandshrew IS a very cute Pokemon.

Meadow April 2nd, 2015 2:59 PM

13.

Yup, I love how cute it looks in R/S/E!

http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/8/84/Spr_3e_027.gif

Aww, it's waving! x3

Astinus April 2nd, 2015 3:22 PM

14

SANDSHREW AH CHOOSE YOU!

I really wish A.J. could come back. :( He was the best Sandshrew trainer. But he was all the way back in Kanto.

Dedenne1 April 2nd, 2015 3:38 PM

15
Although without cuteness i never found a use for his line him....

Meadow April 2nd, 2015 3:54 PM

16.

You could always try it out in a contest, maybe.

Dedenne1 April 2nd, 2015 4:31 PM

17
True he just has such an adorable face ^^

Meadow April 2nd, 2015 4:34 PM

18.

Despite being cute, Sandshrew sure learns a lot of "tough" moves (in contest terms).

Winter April 2nd, 2015 6:33 PM

19

Sandshrew is way more adorable than the previous rodent...

Meadow April 2nd, 2015 6:35 PM

20.

True. Very true. And next up is Sandslash!

Pendraflare April 2nd, 2015 7:11 PM

11

I have used Sandslash a few times in-game, so it's definitely one I can like.

Dedenne1 April 2nd, 2015 7:19 PM

12
Snadslash is a pretty cool poke if i do day so myself

Squirrel April 2nd, 2015 8:36 PM

13

Nooo I missed Sandshrew, my favourite Pokémon :( I'm glad he got saved at least! Sandshrew is another of my favourites but I wish it had a mega </3

Meadow April 2nd, 2015 8:47 PM

14.

Yeah, gotta love Sandslash! I still think it's pretty cute, but with some extra coolness as well!

Granted, but the powercreep will make it obsolete! =P

Winter April 2nd, 2015 9:48 PM

15

Sandslash~ <3 I love its cool design and it's quite fast too!

Squirrel April 2nd, 2015 9:53 PM

16

I did always wish Sandslash was a bit more offensive given his huge claws and everything, but he is fun to use as a trap-busting wall haha.

Winter April 2nd, 2015 10:56 PM

17

Rapid spin rapid spin spin spin the sand away!

alisaie April 2nd, 2015 11:19 PM

18.

I've always wanted a Shiny Sandslash. Maybe one day ;u;

Winter April 3rd, 2015 12:01 AM

19

I remember accidentally running away from a Shiny Sandshrew :'/

blue April 3rd, 2015 3:35 AM

20. Sandslash is an awesome Pokémon, and now it's saved!

Now we're onto Nidoran [F].

Lycanthropy April 3rd, 2015 4:46 AM

11

Wow, Sandshrew and Sandslash went very quick, certainly compared to Raichu. Will the same happen with Nidoran♀? We'll see.

Precious~Dark April 3rd, 2015 5:21 AM

12

Yes I missed both of them. O.O But I would have up-voted them I used them both as a child when I first got Blue. They feel quite nostalgia for me and so does Nidoran. (Especially the female one)

classiccartoonsftw April 3rd, 2015 5:26 AM

13.

I prefer the male Nidoran line over the female line, because the male line is stronger and faster, and Nidoking looks more menacing. But I can't deny that Nidoran F is so cute.

blue April 3rd, 2015 5:59 AM

14

Yeah I like both Nidoran lines, but the female line is my preferred choice.

Lycanthropy April 3rd, 2015 6:30 AM

15

The females have more defensive stats while the males have more offensive stats, but both of them are able to learn a huge bunch of different types of moves.

CliCliW April 3rd, 2015 6:43 AM

16

The female Nidoran is downright adorable, but I do prefer the male (though female's cry on Pokemon Puzzle League was just the cutest!!)

Winter April 3rd, 2015 6:49 AM

17

I quite like the Nidoran lines although I never had the patience to evolve them all the way, especially when their typing put them at quite a disadvantage.

blue April 3rd, 2015 7:00 AM

18

Both evolve quite early, you could easily have a Level 16 Nidoking/Nidoqueen before Misty in RBY/FRLG.

alisaie April 3rd, 2015 7:26 AM

19.

Though unless you plan on using TMs they wouldn't learn anymore moves. Ahhh stone evolutions why.

Squirrel April 3rd, 2015 7:28 AM

18

Ugh I really hate the Nidoran lines haha. They're such ugly little things and they really ruin the name of Poison-types :( I like Nidoking/queen but I'm not at all a fan of the pre-evolutions.

Lycanthropy April 3rd, 2015 7:56 AM

19

I like that the two mostly boost each other in the TCG, the females giving advantages to the males and vice versa, things like more attack damage, more hit points or less attack cost.

Meadow April 3rd, 2015 8:28 AM

20.

Squirrel dON'T YOU RUIN IT BUDDY

Anyways, I like the Nidoran line! I still think Nidoran should be one species, but that would require a retcon to the Pokédex order, so eh.

Dedenne1 April 3rd, 2015 9:08 AM

9.
So we are on Nidorina
I always liked Nidorino better though :P

classiccartoonsftw April 3rd, 2015 10:01 AM

10.

I too prefer Nidorino over Nidorina, but I find Nidorina okay too.

blue April 3rd, 2015 10:14 AM

11

Both are good in their own way, but I prefer Nidorina.

classiccartoonsftw April 3rd, 2015 10:17 AM

12.

My favourite Poison types are Venusaur, Arbok, Nidoking, Venomoth, Victreebel, Gengar, Weezing, Crobat, Seviper, Roserade, Skuntank, Drapion, Scolipede, and Dragalge.

Squirrel April 3rd, 2015 10:34 AM

11

I hate Nidorino too, they're such ugly Pokémon and the really don't do justice to Poison-types :(

classiccartoonsftw April 3rd, 2015 10:40 AM

12.

My most hated Poison type is Garbodor, partially because of its looks and design, but also because it annoyed me greatly in Pokemon White 2 while I was training on Route 9.

blue April 3rd, 2015 10:56 AM

13

Poison-types are actually amongst my favourite of all the types. A few Poison favourites are Toxicroak, Drapion, Ariados, Skuntank, Amoonguss & Roserade.

classiccartoonsftw April 3rd, 2015 10:58 AM

14.

I believe Squirrel made a mistake. He believed we saved Nidoran M and that this is Nidorino's turn, but we've actually saved Nidoran F, and we're now saving Nidorina.

Dedenne1 April 3rd, 2015 12:43 PM

13
Tecniqually we are not saving Nidorina its still up for debate! :3

Meadow April 3rd, 2015 2:06 PM

14.

Nidorina doesn't really stand out to me, but it's an okay Pokémon. My favorite Poison-type is still Bulbasaur, of course!

Astinus April 3rd, 2015 2:11 PM

15

Even though I'm not a fan of the female Nidoran line, I do have a soft spot for Nidorina. I used one before all the way back in my very first Blue playthrough, and she was adorable.

Dedenne1 April 3rd, 2015 2:17 PM

14.
I just dont like how it looks probably the eyes and that mean grin it has at times lol. Nidorino is just so much more pleasing!

Squirrel April 3rd, 2015 2:27 PM

13

Poison-type is my favourite type (closely followed by Steel!) but the Nidoran lines really let them down :(

And oops I forgot which one comes first, my bad!

Sheep April 3rd, 2015 4:05 PM

14

I really like them! Except the Nidos are so underwhelming when fully-evolved.. I tried using Nidoking so many times thinking 'oh man its probably not as bad as i thought' but each time it absolutely sucks. gah.

Meadow April 3rd, 2015 5:08 PM

15.

I just found another gameplay video of Pokémon Rumble World, if anyone is interested:

Spoiler:

Interestingly enough, one of those levels bears a close resemblance to the Windy Prairie from the original Pokémon Rumble.

I AM VEGEMITE April 3rd, 2015 6:10 PM

16

I LIKE NIDARINA ALMOST AS MUCH AS I LIKE VEGEMITE, AND THAT IS A HIGH COMPLIMENT.

Dedenne1 April 3rd, 2015 6:12 PM

15
Yaaaa still dont like her lol

alisaie April 3rd, 2015 7:58 PM

16.

Oh manI know Sheep's pain. I was trying to use a Nidoking once and it was just so hard that eventually I gave up and switched him out for the Bellossom instead. Never regretted my choice tbh ♥

Winter April 3rd, 2015 10:16 PM

17

Its only merit in battle is the versatile movepool, but its STAB moves are kinda limited. I remember that it only had Poison Sting and Sludge Bomb when I played LeafGreen...

classiccartoonsftw April 4th, 2015 12:14 AM

18.

Sludge Bomb is pretty strong, so it's a good move on the Nidoran lines.

Precious~Dark April 4th, 2015 3:23 AM

19

I enjoy this pokemon evolution line I think they have lovely designs and enjoyed having them in my party various times..

blue April 4th, 2015 5:53 AM

20

I've used both Nidoking & Nidoqueen in Yellow and they both helped out a lot.

Anyway, Nidoqueen next!

Meadow April 4th, 2015 8:20 AM

11.

I like Nidoqueen in the main series, but I absolutely detest it in Mystery Dungeon... particularly in Explorers of Sky. Earth Power is just UGH!

Squirrel April 4th, 2015 8:24 AM

10

I'll vote Nidoqueen down too for the same reason I did with the first evolutions :D

Ohhh, this all looks really cool :o The volcano level with the metal mesh to walk on is familiar too haha. I think I'm very much looking forward to this game, it looks like they're making it feel like a proper game and the in-game currency section seems reasonable (so far). Shame it's coming out around the time my exams start XD

Despite how i dont like the first starters in the nidoran line i do like Nidoqueen and Nidoking :3

NIDOQUEEN LOOKS AS COOL AS VEGEMITE. I LIKE THAT.

Hmm, I'm not an expert on this kind of stuff, but wouldn't the game have significant software-related limitations simply because it's an eShop title?

classiccartoonsftw April 5th, 2015 12:01 AM

14.

Pokemon Rumble World has diamonds, which you need in order to play levels. In Pokemon Shuffle, you need hearts to play levels.

Winter April 5th, 2015 2:38 AM

15.

Nidoqueen is pretty badass.

blue April 5th, 2015 4:10 AM

16

I love Nidoqueen's design, definitely my favourite of both the Nidoran lines.

Winter April 5th, 2015 7:10 AM

17

Well you're a male so... x3c

Squirrel April 5th, 2015 7:54 AM

16

What does gender have to do with preferring Nidoqueen? XD
