Probably wigglytuff for some cool stories about his adventures and Dialga about how the future has changed after the storyline (if he knows)

haha, i never used Link Boxes much either c: but i'm glad to hear that some people made good use of the linking system and accompanying features!

Yep, the combination of Leech Seed and Toxic was mostly for bosses, though I can't remember which PMD game I used the combo in, haha. And while I agree that Toxic doesn't have much use outside of boss battles, I definitely would not regard Leech Seed as useless, especially when you're playing as a Bulbasaur (since it learns it at a really early level). While it definitely gets outclassed as the game progresses, I found that move to be a godsend early on in the game, even against random enemies. Early in the game, healing 10 HP actually made a big difference, and it can also save you a few spaces in your bag from carrying extra Oran Berries. But yeah, once you get further in the game, Leech Seed does eventually become obsolete, so I wouldn't recommend running it by that point.

If you were directly in a Pokémon Mystery Dungeon game, will you talk to someone? If you do, who will you talk to and what will you say?

Hmm, I'd probably talk to Dialga and thank him for giving me a second chance. (And I'm also interested in hearing how he sounds when he speaks in all-caps. xD)

I have only dabbled with the Mystery Dungeon series a little bit in the time that it has released. I've seen them, and they had really good parts. And like H.A.N, I also thought they were too short :( There was so much material in the games that they could base episodes on. Although, would that spoil the game? I'm not sure.

I find it both interesting and fun, the Pokémon had the ability to speak human and how the main character of them are always human. The interesting part about it is how the Pokémon living in that world has a different type of system than the Pokémon anime.

Do you always choose the same Pokémon as Main and Partner? Which Pokémon are they, and why? Does it differ between games?
Each time I've played, I've chosen different Pokemon. It's made it more interesting that way! c: The first time it was... hmm, I think Eevee and Mudkip! That was the first file I completed (just story-wise) before starting fresh, but I didn't get far with the others teams because they didn't stand out to me, or something like that. I've restarted many files due to this, so I don't remember all the teams. :P

My best one was with Delcatty and Blastoise! c: Ah, I defeated every boss with ease with my Attract! Just reuse it after every five turns and there's no worry! Blastoise was bulky and powerful, too; he always proved faithful as an ally! Also, I was guilty of spamming the hell out of Assist. xD I don't know why I deleted that file, since it was at least 99% complete and I was around level 70 - 80 iirc.

On my first explorers team I chose Cyndaquil and Chikorita, buuut I wasn't so successful with these two and dropped the game for the longest time. Now I'm back with Shinx and Vulpix, and it's awesome! My partner has an amazing IQ group and all we really need is a Water-type for coverage against those bloody Rock and Ground-types. I'll have Discharge for Monster Houses (right now, Foe-Seal Orbs are OP for them lol) and Vulpix has a good movepool, or so I've heard. Everybody seems to say Charizard is a great starter... I haven't used him. I just choose Pokemon I like. xD

hm, this is quite interesting indeed c: i had always thought that PMD took place in a world in which no humans exist - but indeed, how then would the Pokémon know about humans? so then i suppose it must be as you say, in a place too far from humans to come into contact with them, but close enuogh to at least know of them somehow.
i do think the games were pretty much meant to take place in a world in which no humans exist at all, but then it'd be too difficult to start with the whole you-change-into-a-pokemon idea without having a long conversation with the Pokémon about what humans are... so i suppose they solved it this way. it's still a kid's game after all haha.

Likarus May 15th, 2015 10:18 PM

Sure... Um... I'll answer this question if you don't mind.
What are some moves that you found most useful or surprising in the Mystery Dungeon games?

When I was using my Charizard, I found out that Heat Wave is pretty useful during Monster Houses. I couldn't have survived the dungeons without it, unless I run out of PP.
I used moves like Flamethrower, Razor Leaf and Hydro Pump during boss battles as well.

MatrixDragon, your sign up made me recall that Castform is actually pretty huge in the games. Wasn't it like size three or four? That always seemed weird to me. Makes me wonder if there was a special meaning behind that. After all, Castform really isn't that big.

As for the new questions:

Have you seen any of the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon anime specials? What did you think of them?
No, but I did read a few chapters from a Mystery Dungeon manga about a Chimchar and Totodile. I think it was called Blazing Exploration Team... but I'm not quite sure about that.

How did the Pokémon inhabiting the land know about humans if you can't find any humans anywhere in the game.
And this is a question I've been wondering about as well. I wanted to write a fanfic about how Grovyle's past and well, naturally this had to come up at some point, since there were never any humans to be seen. But the protagonist had to come from somewhere, right? Those sizes seem a bit random to me. I can understand why Lugia for example is bigger than a regular Pokémon, but why does a Dragonite take four times the space as a Charizard? Those two seemed equal sized to me. I even regret evolving my Dragonair a little, because of the size increment that got along. I didn't know that would happen.

yeah, it's interesting! maybe it could be a small human colony somewhere, similar to how indigenous peoples used to live in the wild? i'd like to imagine them sort of like the people of Atlantis, protecting the world from destruction by secretly aiding the Pokémon, like Grovyle and his human companion started out trying to do. it's a bit far-fetched maybe but it's interesting to speculate about, haha.

to be honest, i do think Dragonite is a fair bit taller than Charizard, say... 1.5 times its size. still, of course then 4 times the space is more than excessive indeed ( ´ ▽ ` )ゞ but yeah. it's strange how some Pokémon are so strangely categorized in the games then - i didn't know Castform was classified as so large, for example. what do you think this size rating is based on? and do you know any other examples of strangely big or small Pokémon in the MD games? others can of course also contribute to this discussion c:

How did the Pokémon inhabiting the land know about humans if you can't find any humans anywhere in the game.

Oh that's easy. Pokemon are well connected through their mind, especially Psychic, Ghost and probably dark Pokemon. Plus there are plenty of Pokemon who can travel through space and time. I dont find it surprising to be honest :D

Likarus May 19th, 2015 4:50 AM

Is that a new question? Anyways, i'm going to share my thought about it.

How did the Pokémon inhabiting the land know about humans if you can't find any humans anywhere in the game.

My guess is, humans only existed in the past and future time of the Mystery Dungeon series. This may explain how humans are only heard in myths and how Grovyle had a partner in the future. My guess why you can't find any humans in the future timeline in the game is because of the tower falling in the past, because of it, humans vanished/died because of reasons that I don't know. Whenever you finish the games, you are sent back to the future... But because of your desire to stay in the present, you stay. But, that's just my thought, a Game Tho-

TheCobaltComet May 19th, 2015 5:37 PM

Perhaps it's foreshadowing? Remember Canalave Library, that book that talks about pokemon and humans once being the same, and marrying each other? Who knows. Besides, there's a human-like egg group, so it's not entirely unreasonable.

Lycanthropy May 21st, 2015 10:29 AM

A sequel to the series has been announced! So that leads to the questions:
What features do you want to see reappearing in the new game, which rather not? Any ideas of possible improvements that may be made?

OMG this made my day. Even though I wont be able to play it for who knows how long but stil, awesomenessss!

As for the actual reply, I'll have to think about it :D

HOLY MOLY thanks for sharing! ahhhhh excitement! i was afraid there wouldn't be another be another installment since i think Gates to Infinity didn't do so well. woo!

well then...

BRING THE PERSONALITY TEST BACK! or at least the large selection of Pokémon we could choose from D: only the Kalos starters would be kinda lame.
i do wonder just how 'great' these 'even greater, randomly created dungeons' are, though. i have yet to play Gates to Infinity (will get on that soon now!), and... i can't really think of any other features i want becausei don't know what GtI improved on, haha. either way, i'm hyped!

Alright, i'm going to share my thoughts about this one too. ^-^
I probably don't know the Pokemon MD: Gates to Infinity one (or the other games past PMD: Explorers of the Sky), so... I probably will miss out some informations about it, I apologize in doing so.

Right! So, since i'm only stuck with the first two games, i'll probably say that in my point of view, PMD: EotS is the one with the best features. I probably will want another Spina's Shop Thingy... back. It was really interesting to have, it's like a Pokebar or something, it's a a fun place to have that I want to be returned. The second one would be the side stories from PMD: EotS, it revealed the back stories of other Pokemon, weak or strong, it was fun to play as other people instead of the main character or your partner.

What I really want to see is one thing; crossover from all PMD games. The “even greater, randomly created dungeons that change each time [players] enter,”
is also a bit interesting, could this mean 2 players can play it at the same time? That would be an AMAZING feature, completing dungeons with 2 rescue teams ^-^

I'd like Riolu back as a starter :) Aside from that, I'd like the Personality Test back again, and every pokemon across the 6 gens to be recruitable, or at least as opponents. I was so dissapointed in Gates to Infinity that only gen 5 pokemon were around- I want variety in this one!

I don't think necessary all Pokémon need to appear in the game, that would be way to many. I was trying to recruit as many as possible in Red Rescue Team, but that game already had way too many of them. But all sorts of Pokémon from every generation would be nice, but I expect the emphasis to be on the generation 6 Pokémon.

Yes, that'd be so awesome! I don't know if actually three teams will be possible, because that makes the floor really crowded with rescuing Pokémon, but each player giving one Pokémon to play, gives more teamwork than on singleplayer in which you can't really control the Pokémon other than the team leader.

As the game will be on the 3DS, I expect it to make a good use of the 3D functions and graphic possibilities too.

I hope the outlaw system will be kept- I enjoyed outlaw missions the most of all.

Also, I think the club needs something new. Anyone have ideas?

That's awesome! ^^ After not playing Gates to Infinity, I'm definitely getting that.
I'd like for it to have an awesome story with deep characters again. Ah, and maybe adjust some of the moves. I'm thinking of Silver Wind and co. here... And I agree, getting the personality test back would be great!
But for the most part, I'll just wait and see for myself when it's out.

Unfortunately, no. :/

Meadow May 27th, 2015 2:14 PM

Ooh, someone told me about that new Mystery Dungeon game as well! Unfortunately, I am just a bit skeptical that microtransactions will be involved (thanks to Pokémon Shuffle and Pokémon Rumble World), but let's hope it'll be a fun game regardless! My biggest wish is that it'll have a good storyline, because that's what usually motivates me to play Mystery Dungeon haha. But so long as Bulbasaur is playable again, I'll probably be happy with it. :DDD

TheCobaltComet May 27th, 2015 2:24 PM

Yeah, DLC was always a problem for me, because I rarely have funds to spare for DLC over actual games. Funny, how that happens.

Nagi May 28th, 2015 8:16 AM

whoa, guys, that would be amazing - multiplayer Mystery Dungeoning! i would even be fine if we couldn't bring our entire teams, but just go as one Pokémon, and then with up to three others to together form a four-Pokémon Mystery Dungeon team. and then exploring together <3 ah that would be glorious.

i myself am not very worried about microtransactions as it won't purely be an eShop game, will it? that would be lame, and they would never be able to achieve the same depth as they have with the previous PMD games... but still, with the recent road Nintendo has taken towards mobile gaming, it may be something we need to keep into account :/

it really does, doesn't it? but actually, what you said right here brought me an idea...
What is your favourite/least favourite type of Mission?
for example, my favourite type of missions are Outlaw Missions as well, but specifically the ones that involve a Monster House. cause it's basically one of the few missions that make me really strategize; what kind of Pokémon can i expect in the upcoming Monster House? what kind of items should i bring in case the main boss is too much to handle? i really like that kind of thing!

my least favourite kinds are twofold. in the Rescue Team games, Find [Item] missions were my least favourite, because half of the time you couldn't even actually find the item you were looking for in the dungeon - and believe me, i searched. so then they essentially became the same thing as Deliver [Item] missions, because you just had to bring the item yourself to make sure you'd be able to clear the mission at the end.

ironically the other least favourite kind are these exact Delivery missions! they're boring, they require you to tap out of your own reserves, sometimes even for rare items, and the worst part: you have to travel all the way into a dungeon to deliver the item, and then when you delivered it, the client leaves the dungeon! what was the use of taking it all the way there then?! D:

Lycanthropy May 28th, 2015 10:41 AM

Were outlaw missions like defeating a certain Pokémon somewhere? I don't think they existed in Rescue Team.

I found those guiding missions annoying, you know, when you had to bring a certain Pokémon along. Those were often really weak and when enemies are ghosts or know ranged attacks it can be nearly impossible to protect them. And they hardly do what you plan them to do. Stepping on a warp trap is often fatal for such mission to succeed.

TheCobaltComet May 28th, 2015 3:36 PM

I hated those Item Delivery missions too, I never even did a single one to my memory. They could just ask in the kecleon markets for a lot of those items.

Outlaws were my favourite- I had a distinct seed-paralyze-attack combo, the outlaw always spawned in front of you, and it was far more satisfying than actual rescues.

Escorts never gave me trouble, though. I never knew why. I guess I was just always cautious. I always carried a Pure Seed or a Warp Seed, even though I never used them. But Monster Houses? Dear Arceus, I hated them. Unless I was bringing Earthquake to the table in the game I was playing at the time, I died every time I forgot my Spurn Orb. They don't exactly grow on trees.

Likarus May 28th, 2015 10:22 PM

What is your favourite/least favourite type of Mission?

I really hated deliver and find items missions too. Mostly because it's not as entertaining as the rescue missions, you find the items and give them to the client, the client gives you money or items that you already have for the item that you looked for.

The escort missions sometimes bother me, whenever I escort someone, they just get in my way especially if it's a rattata or a doduo. I had to bring Reviver Seeds everytime because my escort faints, and less money for me, less buying :v

Rescue missions, overall, doesn't really bother me at all. Well, your client doesn't die from dungeon pokemons and you just have to talk to them and all is fine. Unless my client is a ghost type, then i'm really bothered.

My favorites are also the Outlaw missions. You don't have to find the outlaw in the actual floor, he just appears right in front of you waiting for a beating.

Tora May 29th, 2015 6:39 AM

Ah, yeah, the delivery missions were annoying, especially early on when you didn't even find one of these items yet or if you didn't have any in stock.

The escort missions weren't that bad, I usually let my other team mates wander around on their own anyway, so I'd be quicker in exploring the floor and gain more exp along the way, so the client was always close to me. That made it pretty easy to protect him. The only problems arose when he was teleported away or the enemies had room attacks. Also, escort and outlaw missions don't go well with each other. If it's the standard outlaw, you spawn right next to him on the floor, so he can attack the client immediately, while you have no way of sending him anywhere else...

But my favorite missions were catching outlaws as well, they were at least a bit challenging. Except for the fleeing outlaws. I hated those. Especially if they could walk on water/lava while I couldn't, so they'd just stay where I couldn't reach them or when they spawned directly next to the stairs.

Miah May 29th, 2015 3:33 PM

Oh! A new topic! (sorry i haven't posted for a while...)

What is your favourite/least favourite type of Mission

Well, i kinda dislike the find an item and escort... there's this one time, when i checked my recipient, I was in shock that it was just LEVEL 1?!?!?!?!?!?! shouldn't they be atleast, at a random level? 'cuz... u know they faint wh'n they 'cause trouble... srsly? lvl1?

But on Red Rescue Team, I'll do anything for a Friend Area!

Yeah, those were annoying. You just had to bring a ghost along, or risk the possibility the client walking around in circles in the walls in an edge of the map.

I always picked those missions immediately, yes. I found gummis nice rewards too, so I mostly saved some of those and went to a dungeon when I got three or four missions to do there, unless it was just a small dungeon. When there were already two missions in the same dungeon available I put those on the list too. Efficiency at its best. How did you pick your missions? Does the reward matter to you?

TheCobaltComet May 30th, 2015 5:47 PM

I always picked tough missions. Never anything under S (post game, Explorers of Time), and even then, rarely anything S rank, I usually took starred missions. Though I never found them tough- odd. I think it was just because most were in Brine Cave, Quicksand Cave, Crystal Crossing, or whatever the luminous spring's forest was called.

Wow, you must be really brave to pick S missions. I always pick E - B missions and sometimes A, I always end up dying on those tough missons >.>

Yes!! Riolu starter!!! Nintendo, I take back all my years of hate for Monster Hunter!

Likarus June 1st, 2015 1:43 AM

Yay! 3d! And more legendary stories (I hope)! And Dialga is there too!
I wonder what that scroll thing with all the starter pokemons is supposed to be. It could either be the Personality Test result, or your Choose Partner.

TheCobaltComet June 3rd, 2015 5:01 PM

I hope they give you an option. You know, to take the test, or just pick a starter. That would be good. It's a win-win situation, no?

Lycanthropy June 6th, 2015 2:08 AM

The game looks really legendary-focused by that trailer, maybe a little too much for my liking. I hope there will be a good story and not just a concatenation of small parts each including a legendary Pokémon.

I laughed really hard at that Wailord in the dungeon, oversized as hell.

Compared to the main series, Mystery Dungeon has a lot of player dialogue. I think it's just something typical of the franchise. I don't really have any trouble with it myself, I think I even prefer a silent protagonist in RPGs. It is mainly focused on exploring and you start as a rookie, which means you are the one that needs to retrieve information and learn things, which means others do the talking. I can totally understand you though, why it shouldn't feel real. Maybe it's just because I'm not really a talker myself too.

My favourite game is Explorers of Sky. I love how it's an improved version of Time and Darkness, and that there are many new features and areas to explore. The soundtracks are also as amazing as ever! PMD honestly has some of the best video game soundtracks in history imo.

I'm currently in the middle of my third playthrough of the game and have completed both the main and the postgame storylines with Pikachu as myself and Mudkip as my partner and friend (now Raichu and Swampert). I'm now in the middle of the side episode with Sunflora as the main character.

DyingWillFlareon June 10th, 2015 6:23 AM

Ehh sorry I've been ignoring this place for a while. ;-;

I'm pumped about Super Mystery Dungeon too! I don't mind if there's a lot or a little player dialoge honestly. The personality test and genders would be a nice bring back though. And also, am I in the minority who loved Gates to Infinity? .-. I've only heard negativity about it, but I love the differnences in it from the other PMDs...

TheCobaltComet June 10th, 2015 3:15 PM

I liked Gates to Infinity, but only the story. The amount of recruitable Pokemon was abysmal. Like, you had the Gen 5 ones, and that's practically it. I think there were some Eevee, and a few non-Unova legendaries, but aside from that, nothing.

Nagi June 16th, 2015 9:15 AM

so, apparently this just went live! thoughts? c:

TheCobaltComet June 17th, 2015 2:21 PM

Yes, personality quiz is back!! But, you also seem able to choose your species?? Did Nintendo read this club's posts and factor this in?? :D
Legendary Pokemon turning into stone, hm? Bit of a spoiler, but if Lugia, Suicune and the Unova legendaries are recruitable, no complaints from me! :)

Lycanthropy June 18th, 2015 6:36 AM

Looks like the personality test is optional. Perfect!

Legendaries turning into stone seems like an interesting basis for a plot. The trailer makes me believe Giratina is behind all that, because of how it is shown near the end, but I don't see much relation between the Pokémon and Pokémon turning to stone. I don't think it can do that, the only link I've found is it is guarding the rock horn in Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky.

Likarus June 20th, 2015 6:06 AM

I'm guessing it's either a pokemon's "Pokedex"... Or... It could be a new game mechanic.

Well, I agree with the Giratina might be behind all of it, well 50%. I would naturally imagine
Giratina transform into a "Primal Giratina" just like how Dialga turned cray-cray in PMD: Time/Dark/Sky. I kind of have
a backup for it because they didn't show giratina's face. Well, that's just my opinion anyway.

You know... THIS is one of my favorite times in pokemon games, where Legendaries and Mythical pokemons get their own dialogues and stories.
I imagine Arceus being like "I AM A GOD, HEAR ME ROAR" or "WHO DARES TRY AND RUIN THE BALANCE IN THIS WORLD?". (Speaking of Arceus, has he showed up
in any PMD recently?)

Also, hi for all the new members and upcoming members ^-^

I've played a little bit of the Bidoof episode, but not much else. Is there any other main storyline changes to Sky?

also you know what n should play Explorers of T/D/S

My personal favorites turns out to be Explorers of Sky, since from what I see, it have everything that Explorers of Time and Darkness offers, and make it a bit better, and it has some good storylines too.

From what I think, mostly Explorers of Sky have the same storyline, but it has more expanded stories, like the Special Episode that involves Grovyle and Dusknoir. If you finished the main story, it's recommended to play this particular episode. Spinda Cafe and Secret Bazaar is exclusive to this game, apparently, and you'll be able to visit Shaymin Village after the main story ends too.

i hath returned! and it was high time, haha. thank you for your patience, and thanks again to Lycanthropy for filling in a little too. i'll be adding all the new admissions to the main post immediately after this post. a huge welcome to all of you! omg i only just noticed there are so many new members, thank you so much everyone <3

so, time for a new topic!

Which (new or returning) features are you most excited to see in Super Mystery Dungeon?
Feel free to discuss the story too! First of all I'd say it's great the large selection of Pokémon is back, and even the Personality Test! Still I wouldn't have minded to just have a direct choice and then just a couple more non-starter Pokémon selections like the ones we had in the DS versions either c:
it's been suggested that Giratina is petrifying Pokémon. i'm curious about this though - since i just watched the Pokémon XY movie and saw that Yveltal is capable of that as well, apparently. so maybe he's involved as well? i'd personally love Xerneas and Yveltal to be involved because i think they're such cool legendaries!

since this topic has already been discussed quite a bit, it might only suffice as a short topic, so if that's the case i'll switch it around again soon. still, i'd love to hear if and why you're most excited for SMD!

EDIT: i just added everyone! all of you who requested a Pokémon that was already chosen by another member before you, i gave you the Shiny version instead so we won't have any real duplicates. if anyone wants to change to avoid being a double, you can ask me too of course c: additionally, i changed a couple names that i noticed were outdated - if there's any i overlooked please don't hesitate to tell me either. i hope you're all okay with this.
my, our guild is growing so fast; the OP looks so lively now. your Guildmaster is proud!

DforDragoz June 26th, 2015 5:27 PM

Which (new or returning) features are you most excited to see in Super Mystery Dungeon?

The personality test. It brings back memories of me trying out all the questions to see which Pokemon I'd get. Sadly, I don't think I'll be able to play SMD.

Starry Windy June 26th, 2015 8:31 PM

Which (new or returning) features are you most excited to see in Super Mystery Dungeon?
I'm psyched by the fact that I can get about 720 Pokémon that is available, which means I can recruit any Pokémon I want to the team, including Legendaries.

Circuit June 27th, 2015 2:28 AM

Which (new or returning) features are you most excited to see in Super Mystery Dungeon?

I'm really excited about the story. And by the looks of it, we're getting a kinda of free-moving system like in X/Y. No more linear movement is always a plus. I really hope Giratina is the antagonist of this game. It's been so long since that legendary has been relevant :/

Lycanthropy June 27th, 2015 3:53 AM

Oh my, so many new people. Welcome everyone!

I'm wondering how all those 720 Pokémon will be implemented in the games. Rescue Team had a good number of dungeons already well-filled with about half that amount of species. I think the high number means many Pokémon will only be available on a few floors in one specific dungeon, unless another special way of recruiting Pokémon will be added. I really hope it doesn't affect the game in a negative way, because I've played some of those "all Pokémon available" hacks and I can't really enjoy those.

Seth Rollins June 28th, 2015 11:14 PM

Which (new or returning) features are you most excited to see in Super Mystery Dungeon?

Definitely Mega Evolutions. I want to see how they are going to add it. I also really want the personality quiz test back, I don't know why but I love it. I'm very excited about the story too, in my opinion PMD 2 had the best Pokemon story. Let's see if it can top PMD 2!

Likarus June 29th, 2015 7:50 AM

Which (new or returning) features are you most excited to see in Super Mystery Dungeon?

Mega Evolutions. Seriously. I heard from both the anime and some people that Pokemon need trainers to help them
mega evolve, something with the "bonds" between them. I wonder how these ones can mega evolve.

I also have to say that i'm hyped for the storyline >.>
I'm going to watch a Let's Player play it, then we'll see who is behind this petrification incident ^o^

(just a side note, i'm slightly bothered by my everchanging colors and sizes)

I'm totally hyped for this. Mega Evolutions still give me goosebumps in XY/ORAS, so I'd love to see this. Especially if they make you battle Giratina with a new Mega Evolution! Though I doubt that'd happen :/

Nagi July 6th, 2015 3:01 AM

so i encountered this adorable Japanese commercial for Super Mystery Dungeon... i think we can confirm Giratina is the main enemy! Sinnoh confirmed

Spoiler:

Lycanthropy July 6th, 2015 3:52 AM

That commercial is so cute!

So Giratina then. What could Arceus's role be in the story? I mean, it's the Pokémon that created Giratina, isn't it?

Draskk July 9th, 2015 1:30 AM

Feature 1: I'm happy to see Giratina get some love as a main antagonist

Feature 2: Personality tests are back yay! they were always such an experience to see what type of poke you were

Possible Feature: I remember when i had EOS (Before an incident with the washer) there was this thing where a bottle showed up on the beach for a mission and i got a hostage mission which was really cool to me

dangit pikachu

Cute commercial. X3
Spoiler: Spoilers for Gates to Infinty reguarding SMD
I hope they pull a Hydreigon with Giratina here honestly ;3

I wanna know why everyone likes so many Pokemon in the game.... I never recruit others for real, I say yes and they stay in their Friend Area/Chimecho thing/Paradise because I never use them.... I guess others do though then lol.

I'm glad the personality test is back just cause it's fun. I'd have been fine without it but at the same time now it's 10x better! And the Mega Charizard Y it showed on the box.... Do you think since your character was a human once, that they can have a bond to Mega Evolve their partners? It might work...

Also I hope Hunger stays away and we can still use orbs against Bosses. :P

I feel the club can use a new topic, so:
In the Mystery Dungeon games there exist many different types of wonder orbs. Do you find them useful? Which ones are your favorites?
A full list of the types of orbs can be found <here>.

DyingWillFlareon July 15th, 2015 7:43 PM

PLZ I AIN'T EVEN LOOKING AT THE LIST TRAWL ORB IS ALL YA NEED for robbing keckleon amiright

Lol anyhow though I do like the All-Protect Orb and such that you can boost yourself with in GtI, I love using items more than moves while my partner/s do the dirty work. XD

DforDragoz July 16th, 2015 12:32 AM

Escape Orb as always. Easy to get, I think the Dojo in PMDSky offered it in spam along with Oran berries. And when there's a monster house....poof! Safe and sound.

Wonder Orbs? (sorry for my lengthy absence)

I hate to say, the speed-boosting orbs, One-Room Orbs, Radar Orbs and Luminous Orbs were my favourites.

Starry Windy July 26th, 2015 11:18 PM

Petrify Orb is among one of my favorites because it makes most of opponent Pokémon unable to move (unless if it comes to boss).

Pokémon Species: Heracross
Team Name: Team Honey
Current Topic: Foe-Seal Orb as it can give you a window of opportunity if things are going bad!

Trainer Death August 11th, 2015 7:22 AM

Username: Trainer Death
Pokémon Species: Charmander (played as him in every Mystery dungeon)
Team Name: Team Excalibur (also my team in every Mystery dungeon)
Favorite Mystery Dungeon Game: My favorite Mystery dungeon game is Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky. It has a fantastic story with an amazing, emotional ending. Explorers of Sky also, at least I feel, has the best music. Not to mention it had even more Pokemon than the newer installment, Gates to Infinity.

I hope i can join the club! :)

Welcome to everyone who just joined The Explorer's Guild! And I feel like this Guild needs a new topic, so here goes.

What's your opinion on IQ/Team Skills, and what's your favorite IQ/Team Skills in particular?
The list of the Skills can be found here and here.

I like them, they can improve your Pokémon by other means than gaining base stats or attacks. I see gummis as one of the most valuable items in the games.
My favorite IQ skill is Nontraitor, it's necessary to have on your leader and preferably on the other party Pokémon too. Without the skill you can do massive damage one of your teammates. Other skills I like are those that prevent status ailments or help you get rid of them quicker, like Nonsleeper and Self-Curer.

TheCobaltComet August 25th, 2015 4:15 AM

Ah, the old IQ skills. I loved those!

My favourites were PP Saver, Intimidator (Except when bosses had it, grr...), Nonsleeper, Nontraitor, and Self-Curer (they came in so handy), and that one called Acute Sniffer- it lets you identify the amount of items around. Amazing. Bodyguard was great too- basically like Cecil Harvey's Cover from final fantasy, but it kinda got annoying fast.

Starry Windy August 26th, 2015 12:16 AM

PP Saver/PP Restore is definitely one of my fave IQ/Team Skills because I can make more moves when I needed it.

Anyway, 2 more new trailers for Super Mystery Dungeon are just out! Any thoughts of it?

I have been a bit thrifty regarding PP at first, saving it in case I needed the moves in live saving situations or a boss battle. Later I mainly used it for the exp.

Oh, a peek into the village! I really like Farfetch'd's school, possibly teaching the rules of exploring. (I don't know, I understand nothing of Japanese.) Also, Rayquaza is so big, it's funny.
