I like mudkipz :mudkip;):

chellie88 April 7th, 2016 4:23 PM

I chose Mudkip because I have always chosen the Water-type Starter Pokemon. The Water type is my favorite type and Mega Swampert is awesome!!!

Apollo April 8th, 2016 6:20 AM

Treecko, as I like it the best design-wise, and I really like Sceptile's mega as well! I also picked it as Sceptile is one of my all-time favorite Pokemon. :)

chatoz1 April 12th, 2016 10:56 AM

On Omega Ruby I picked Torchic. I've always loved fire starters and back when I first got Ruby I picked Torchic and Mega Blaziken is pretty amazing. For Alpha Sapphire I picked Trecko because who couldn't pick the adorable grass pokemon!?!?!

Ky0greK1ng April 12th, 2016 2:36 PM

I chose Mudkip!

I had chosen the adorable water-type when I first played Sapphire on the GameBoy Advance and decided to stick with it for Alpha Sapphire.

Although I must say, I like Mega Blaziken's and Mega Sceptile's designs better than Mega Swampert's... I don't know--something just seems off about Mega Swampert.

Dwynn April 14th, 2016 12:03 AM

I picked Mudkip, because I picked Torchic in Ruby and Sapphire. I believe I picked Treecko in Emerald.

Blayze April 14th, 2016 3:29 PM

I picked Torchic, just like I did in my original Ruby. :19:

SilverLugia456 April 16th, 2016 3:37 AM

Out of all three starters I choose Treecko for OmegaRuby and Torchic for AlphaSapphire.

Treecko is my favorite out of all three starters though.

cherrytrucku April 16th, 2016 1:01 PM

Originally in Sapphire I also chose Mudkip in my tradition of picking water starters as my first one and when I started ORAS I wanted to relive the memories of my first Sapphire gameplay so I chose Mudkip again. The fact that it was a water type but immune to electric attacks kind of just blew my mind.

FriendlyTheJapanese April 16th, 2016 7:54 PM

Mudkip is the cutest<3 and strong!!!

Sunshade April 20th, 2016 4:16 PM

I decided to go with Treeco but I haven't really used him much. I wanted to try playing without using my starter so right now with 3 badges in, my team is Electrike and Wingull.

PokeHunterBlack April 20th, 2016 7:11 PM

I chose Treecko, because it brought back a lot of memories from my first game; Emerald,
He masked a lot of firsts for me in Emerald, My first Lvl 100, My first beating of a league and many others. He even beat Red in Soul Silver when my uncle transferred it. Which he then started a new game :(, That was oe of the worst days of my life, I am using a Blaziken I got a torchic though. Maybe I can use Swampert, I do have a mudkip so...

for him. April 20th, 2016 7:31 PM

I chose Treecko even though I chose Mudkip in Pokemon Ruby. Over the years, I have really grown fond of Treecko, especially since it has become the underdog when compared to the other two starters. Underdogs tug at my heart strings.

Like you, I also view Treecko as the underdog of the trio and that's mainly because it starts off weaker than the other two, and it takes a while longer to actually get good since it doesn't gain a second type through normal evolution means.

Eden April 24th, 2016 10:48 AM

Went with Mudkip since i liek mudkipz it was what I picked in Sapphire and I figured I might as well have continuity.

Nagi-chan April 24th, 2016 11:34 AM

I honestly couldn´t really decide between Treeko and Mudkip, because I like them both, but I chose Mudkip since it was my ever first starter in Emerald. Now that we have ORAS and you can have as many of the starters as you want I mostly picked Treeko because of the several HM moves it can learn. The only one I never picked was Torchic because I simply never liked its design.

Luzu April 24th, 2016 2:10 PM

Mudkip just like what I had done in Ruby. Alpha Sapphire I haven't really played it because I haven't found a good challenge I want to do in that game so it'll be whatever suits the challenge if I even decide to keep my starter.

Bot April 24th, 2016 5:19 PM

I remember that I chose Mudkip in my first Pokémon Emerald and, when I received Pokémon OR, I choose Mudkip again. Now it's a great Swampert.

solocricket April 24th, 2016 9:52 PM

Just picked up AS today (along with a New 3DSXL!! :D) and I picked Mudkip. Mudkip and Torchic are probably the ones I like best, design-wise, however, I never really got too attached to the Generation 3 starters. I might be putting Mudkip in the computer soon in favor of something more fun to use....

Brendino April 25th, 2016 12:27 AM

Finally finished AS so I can stop avoiding this board for spoilers!

Since I went with Treecko my first time around in Sapphire, it only seemed natural to go back to it for AS. If I play through again I might pick Torchic next time, but Treecko will always be my favorite of the three.

I think gen 3 had the best startes trio out of the rest of the gens. It's the first gen where I actually like all of them.

JJ Styles April 25th, 2016 9:54 PM

I picked Torchic in my Alpha Sapphire file since i wanted to experience having Mega Blaziken in my in-game team, with that delicious Speed Boost the Mega-fied Blaziken has, which usually sweeps a lot of in-game trainers far up the backside.

It wasn't easy picking the starter that i want since Gen 3 was indeed the gen that had amazing starters with variable strengths and weaknesses, and which all of them looked really cool when fully evolved. The kind of Pokemon that one can easily be proud of. I could have gone Mudkip or Treeko as well but I wanted to make a nod to the starter that i picked in Ruby (Gen 3) so i went with Torchic, the starter that got me playing the games again.

akaMike April 26th, 2016 8:57 AM

I used to always choose Treecko because Sceptile is in my top 5 favourite Pokemon but, I decided to use Mudkip in Omega Ruby because Swampert is badass. I hate Blaziken so I wasn't going to choose Torchic.

futiledevices May 2nd, 2016 2:16 AM

I am seeing a lot of people who picked a certain Pokemon because they picked it on their first run-through. Did anyone do the opposite of that? Blaziken rules but I am thinking of picking a different one...

Phyromatical May 11th, 2016 12:27 PM

I choosed Treecko. Sceptile is one of my favourite pokemon, so it's naturally for me to take Treecko. The other two are also very nice, but I decided to take them another time.
