Could Pokemon be the cure for Alzheimer’s disease ?

Hello all,

I love Pokémon.

I have loved Pokémon from the moment I saw it. I was 10 when it was released and have followed Ash and the games religiously ever since. Pokémon became much more to me when I became very ill a while back. I spent two full years of my life confined to house like a prisoner, heavily medicated and in constant chronic pain.

My one saving grace was my DS and whatever Pokémon title was inserted. Only in Pokémon could I become completely lost and immersed in a happier brighter world. Marvelling at the intricacies, levels and versatility it offered, I was able to keep my sanity and feel some form of joy and accomplishment.

What was I talking about again?............

Oh yes!......Alzheimer’s disease.

Many studies have shown that puzzles, games, constructive activities and the like, improve brain function and longevity, decreasing the risk and potential onset of late life brain disorders such as Dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.

Lets review,

Grab the female rattled Whismur you got from the GTS,
Attach the ever stone to her
Find The suitable male with the good IV’s
Breed!!!!!
Quick, get Volcarona in there with that Flame body,
Hatch hatch hacth,
Scan, scan, scan, scan
Carbos!
Calcium!
Get Oddish,
Get Lapras,
Power Lens!
Sweet scent!
Kill, kill kill!
Power anklet!
Kill, Kill, Kill!
Nickname and finish.

My point being that as long as I continue to play Pokémon, my memory and late life brain function should remain intact?

Should it not?

Well no. If you search up Alzheimer's and click the first link then you should get this page:
http://www.alz.org/

Right under where it says "2015 Alzheimer's Disease Facts and Figures" you should see a box and the first fact of the box is:
"Alzheimer's is the only cause of Death in the top 10 that cannot be prevented, cured, or slowed. "

So no. If you have Alzheimer's, you can't stop your "memory and late life brain function" from deteriorating over time.
