FNAF! ^^ Scott said that a "challenge mode" will appear when the dlc is released on Oct. 31. I dunno pretty much

Oh no, the enragement child is back!

machomuu November 1st, 2015 4:29 AM

Oh? November 1st and not one post about the Halloween update that came out yesterday?

Because nobody posted after me, and I didn't want to double post. Anyway, it's basically the same with a Halloween overlay. Plushtrap is replaced by Balloon Boy, Bonnie and Chica receive a jack-o-lantern redesign, Foxy is replaced by Mangle, and Nightmare is replaced by the Puppet.

Here is the teaser trailer of FNAF World:

Hey guys, you know that FNAF book that Scott was working on?

Well...uh...it's done. And it's out. So...

machomuu January 13th, 2016 3:23 PM

http://www.siliconera.com/2016/01/13/fnaf-world-coming-steam-february-19th/

Which means we can probably expect this...tomorrow, knowing Scott.

Pinkie-Dawn January 13th, 2016 4:49 PM

Seeing that new screenshot made me remember something. I forgot to show this latest update of the FNAF World image:

Spoiler:

Those new characters added could be enemies we'll be fighting in the game.

Necrum January 14th, 2016 9:34 PM

The pig scares me. He should have been in the main series ngl.

Also, the image has been reverted back sadly. So I guess it was just a glimpse for Christmas. Some of the enemies in the trailer are pretty sweet and fun from what I can tell. I hope we do get FNAF World early, but I think Scott is actually trying to hit the date this time.

I haven't started The Silver Eyes yet, but I did buy it as soon as I found out. It's pretty much next on my reading list as soon as I finish The Damnation Game by Clive Barker... which sadly will probably eclipse FNAF in every way, but whatever, I love Freddy enough to stick through it!

machomuu January 21st, 2016 2:27 PM

Hey, uh...guys?

It's out.

Yukari January 22nd, 2016 4:02 PM

Don't you love how Scott releases everything way before he says he will?

Better than delaying everything at least.

Necrum January 23rd, 2016 4:20 PM

Fffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff

Well now I have to spend 10 dollars I wasn't planning on. THANKS A LOT SCOTT WHY YOU KEEP DOING THIS!?

GanguEevee January 23rd, 2016 5:14 PM

Wow, I didn't noticed this thread was a thing until now. Wait....didn't I posted stuff here? Or am I confusing it for the FNAF3 one? Ugh.....

Anyways, I don't have the money to waste on FNAF World, unfortunately. However, I saw two videos of it, one by Jim Sterling, another by NateWantsToBattle. The video by Jim was technically the more interesting one, since apparently, when he started up the game, this appeared before the title screen (Putting this in a spoiler because of, well, potential spoilers):
Spoiler:

I have NO FREAKING IDEA what this is all about. I'm just gonna take a guess that the two gleaming eyes is the F******* P**** from the 4th game (Not putting it's whole name because MAJOR spoilers). Apparently, according to Jim, there was more than just this one sentence that it said. The dots were moving, and then the thing actually started.

(You can watch Jim Sterling's video here)
Meanwhile, I live in New York, the Bronx! Blizzard Jonas was able to hit my local area! FUN TIMES!
(plz buy this game for me i think i'm gonna be stuck here in my apartment for a while)

I've played for 81 minutes at this point, and I gotta say it's actually not bad. Apparently a lot of people don't like it, but setting the characters and FNAF Fandom aside it could be a lot worse. Scott has added a couple of things to the game like attack descriptions and a map which were absent initially. It isn't a great game by any means, but experimenting with team combinations is actually a pretty fun mechanic. Like putting multiple characters that can use Poppers together, or putting a character that can boost speed with a character that can Jumpscare so you can stun enemies faster. There also seems to be a hidden underlying story that you can find by waiting not clicking "DONE" when Golden Freddy speaks to you which seems to hint at something deeper going on.

Well, I was expecting Scott to update the game with some stuff that makes the game a lot more tolerable, since there's a possibility you won't even know what most of the attacks are or what some of the functions do, unless you read the game's Steam description, which, no-one didn't seemed to do. Also, that's actually quite interesting, since most people, obviously, presses done as soon as the dialogue is done. It MIGHT be related to the picture I put in my post.

I swear to Etro....if this game somehow has some FNAF lore hidden within it, then I don't know if I should even call this a spin-off.

EDIT: Oh, crapbaskets! How could I forget? In case if you're wondering if you can have two Fredbears at once in the dialogue scenes........Well, you can't.
Oh yeah, you can also still honk Freddy's nose in the title screen. But you obviously expected something like that, didn't you?

I really wanted to take a a look at the game for myself but sucks to see that Scott decided to take it down :c

After a rough launch that led to an apology for the incomplete state of the game, Five Nights at Freddy's World has been removed from Steam. FNAF creator Scott Cawthon said in a message that in spite of the relatively positive overall reception the game had received, he “was not satisfied with the reviews and ratings it was getting.”

“For that reason, I've decided to remove the game from Steam,” Cawthon wrote. “I've also asked Valve to make it so that the game can be refunded regardless of the amount of the time it has been owned, meaning that anyone can get a refund at any time. It may take them a while to set that up, but it will be in place soon.”

He repeated his pledge to continue working on the game, and said that once he's ready to release an update, he'll replace the demo on Gamejolt (which also appears to have been removed) with the full game. Once it's re-released, he added, it will be free.

“I appreciate your support, and I encourage you all to refund your Steam game (even if you enjoyed the game), and download the new version when it becomes available on GameJolt,” Cawthon wrote. He didn't indicate whether FNAF World will be re-released on Steam as well.

Five Nights at Freddy's World, a cute and colorful adventure-RPG spinoff of the cult-hit horror series Five Nights at Freddy's, was originally scheduled for release in February but went live on Steam last week. It had a “very positive” rating based on aggregated Steam user reviews, but its rough and incomplete state led to a wave of complaints from players, and ultimately an acknowledgment from Cawthon that he had released the game prematurely.

This is a shame because I was actually enjoying the game quite a bit. :( to the point that idk if I actually want to lose it by refunding it.

I know. I was saying that I like it and don't want to lose it when I refund it, which I already have and miss it already :(

Well, that's your fault. If you like a game, then why would you ever get a refund for it?! Your money can probably help out and support the developer, since it gives them the money to keep going and make more games.

Also, this is both unrelated to the thread, but related to what I'm saying, but Playism is releasing all three chapters of the LiEat series soon. While you can actually get these games for free (The only major change to the original, fan-translated versions is the fact that there are Steam achievements and cards), you can support the developer of the series (Miwashiba, or '△○□×') by buying the game. It can probably support him in multiple ways.

.....Okay, that sounded more like a advertisement for the games. Still, play them. And buy them. They seem to be pretty good.

This is Scott Cawthon we're talking about. I'm pretty sure him and his family are set for life already on the 4 successful games he released already lol. If there's an option to donate to him or something after they re release FNAF World I certainly will. Til then I bought Black Mesa with the refund so yay!
