Experience outside of battle

Is there any way to implement a script giving a pokémon or the whole team a specific amount of experience? I would like to give it for completing a quest. I also thought about giving rare candies. But then you could just give them all to one pokémon or save them for a higher level. That's why I don't like that solution. I am hacking firered btw.

Thanks for your help

I think you may like that thread : http://www.pokecommunity.com/showthread.php?t=339153 as there's plenty of useful routine.

Particulary that post by the way : http://www.pokecommunity.com/showthread.php?p=8517906#8517906

And to know where exactly the experience is stored, check out bulbapedia. "Data sturcture pokemon genIII games" or something in google should be enough to find it.

I read somewhere (I think it was in the decrypting routine of JPAN) that the max amount of experience you can give at a pokémon with that method is 32 XXX xp or something (in hex it's more relevant). But perhaps FBI's routine hasn't the same restriction, I honestly don't know.

I knew that thread, but didn't know about that post, thank you. Wow, it looks complicated. I need some time to work out how to give the experience to the team or a pokémon without the party swap or the step counter. But thank you for helping me.

I didn't take a look carefully but all you have to do is to load the good argument, in your case the xp, and change its value. I don't think step counter/party swap are needed
