Mega Evolution and other stuffs for GBA Games

Will it be possible for GBA games soon to have a means for:

  • Mega Evolution
  • Primal Reversion for Kyogre and Groudon (and Dialga)
  • "Snag Machine" like item to convert some Pokémon to Shadow-type (in-battle only; especially Lugia)
  • Have Shadow-type moves in-battle only while Shadow-type mode is active

You should probably look around the forums. It isn't too hard to find man.

As for Snag Machines and Shadow-types, it's definitely a possibility and the code should be there if I remember. Shadow-types are generally nothing TOO special, they are just a type that is supereffective against all types and only weak to themselves.

The snag machine is especially easy to make. There is an ASM routine over in the ASM resource thread that allows you to catch trainers pokemon.
My ramblings about the snag machine, not really necessary to what you asked though.
Spoiler:
With a little bit of simple ASM you can make it so it only catches a certain type of pokemon/only pokemon off a certain table. The only issue that isnt really "simple" asm with that though is that it ends the battle after the pokemon is caught. From what the amazing asm mentors I've had have told me, is that theres simply a byte that determines whether or not to end the battle, changing this via ASM is the fix.

So Snag Machine is not really the thing I was looking for? I meant for the thing which makes some Pokémon a Shadow-type during a battle with Shadow-type moves... Somewhat similar to Primal Reversion but will also temporarily change moves...

And another thing, is that ASM similar to the ASM used in Embedded Systems and/or Microcontroller Programming? Thanks!

Depends on what hardware you're programming for: it's ARM THUMB assembly we're talking about here, look it up and see if it's close.

Ah my bad, misread that. But why would you want it only temporary?

Because Shadow-type is just a temporary type in a side-game (Colosseum, I think)... Now, I'm thinking if one day I will make a hack, I might incorporate the Shadow-type as a feature... Or if the temporary part will be more difficult or much complicated, maybe just put the Shadow-type moves only in a new move tutor as well as a Shadow Lugia...

I'm just wondering if that's possible...

Actually Shadow type isnt temporary in those games, other than the fact that a shadow Pokemon can turn normal through purification, but as Touched said any thing is possible so I would say go for it.
