Any useful IPS patches for Pokemon Emerald?

I haven't been on these forums in a while but these forums are better than /r/pokemonromhacks so yeah I wanted to know if there is any IPS patches for Pokemon Emerald that add Gen 4 Pokemon, Update the tile sprites, anything would be useful really. Ive already applied the Physical & Special Damage split patch.

There is a an Emerald resource patch that you can use, and it not only has 4th Gen Pokémon, but 5th Gen, and also Sylveon is added. Just use up to 4th Gen Pokémon if you want tho. But you would have to update the tiles yourself. Because you may not like the tiles that are added. And I doubt someone would put whatever tiles they want in a resource patch with other features like that. Don't expect that. :p :p :p :p :p But HERE is the patch, expect it's a .UPS patch, so just download a .UPS patcher from HERE if you don't have one. Then google some tiles to use, or HERE are some tiles. Then HERE is a great tutorial on how to insert tiles. :D

I patched the UPS and it worked fine... until I opened up AdvancedMap. It loaded everything but when I go to edit the Wild Pokemon, the names come up as scrambled letters like "[mn]ß[po][bl][po] ß[po]Ù[po]¿" Then, when I played the game, the starter Pokemon names we're stuffed up; I went to battle the Zigzagoon at the start but right after I sent out my Treecko nothing moved and the music continued to play. The game froze but the music continued. Any clue how to fix this? (Also, I used NUSP to patch it but it wouldn't work before because apparently the patch doesnt match the file. I proceeded anyways)

Also, another issue is that whenever I apply the patch everytime on a new ROM, the patch doesn't actually apply at all in a way? I mean, the names are fixed but the Gen 4, 5 and Sylveon we're not added for some reason. Why is this!?

You have to change the .ini file. Whatever tool you are using to edit Pokémon with, go to it's folder, (hopefully they're in folders), and change the .ini file to 650. :p

I use Gen 3 Suite but the .ini file shows nothing about 650 or something. I have no clue at all what to put.

My b, I wasn't specific. Open the .ini file, go to Emerald (E), and where is says, "numberofpokes =," change it to 650. :p :p :p :p :p
