A Disaster is Coming Trainers across the region were roused from their sleep late last night to the strongest earthquake in recorded history. Many worried that Mt. Sumendi (or perhaps some other dormant volcano) was erupting, but this was not the case. The truth was far more terrifying. Deep in the oceans, far from Heiwa, a primal force was awakening. The Original Regigigas So great was this Pokémon's power that the very regions themselves were moving. Heiwa was no exception. It was now much further away from its fellow regions than ever before, alone in a vast ocean. And it was this very ocean that will turn against it too. See, Regigigas' actions had a secondary effect: the earthquakes caused by the rapid shifting of land spawned numerous tidals waves, one of which is headed directly for Heiwa! Citizens are advised to evacuate to high ground as soon as possible while we monitor the situation. We will do the best we can to mitigate the damage, but the situation looks grim. |
Can't afford an escape boat? No worries!
I now sell lapras for 5k a pop! Still a steep price, but can you really put a price on your own safety? Supplies are limited so act fast! *infomercial ends* |
Adventure Update ~ 10/24/2015 All Trainers Are Evacuating To Safe Locations Until The Danger Has Passed There are three League-sanctioned tsunami centers in Sumendi Town, Primaria City, and Loreak City. Trainers will be evacuating according to their closest location: Sumendi Town

![]() Trainer: Marlene Starting Location: Vivre City Starter: Mareep (Ellie) Marlene had picked a really bad time to leave home; it had only been days since she'd said goodbye to her mother, and an earthquake had shaken up the whole region. Everyone was still in panic mode as they waited for more information. A tsunami was headed for Heiwa, that much she gathered - but having only heard bits and pieces from a small group of trainers travelling the same way as her, she didn't fully grasp the severity of the situation just yet. Still, she decided to follow them. Ellie bleated softly in her arms as they made their way towards the tsunami center in Loreak City as quickly as possible. Hopefully she could call home and get in touch with her family from there, and [observe] her surroundings for something to do in the meantime. --- Had a different post written but it didn't quite fit with the current situation, and I didn't want to wait until after the event to join, so there you go. :P Shop/farm coming soon! I've gotten the OK from Hopeless Masquerade to offer rideable Pokemon and clothing. :) For the sake of story I think I'll have it up after the tsunami passes. |
Elite Four Brina http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/3/38/669MS.pnghttp://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/9/9f/290MS.png Brina stirred the milk in her tea. "This whole thing has stopped me from finally leaving Loreak... Then again, it's probably for the best." She [observed] the others in the centre. Being the highest authority figure there, responsibility was coming down on her shoulders like a landslide - having only been a member of the Elite Four for just under a month, it was a bit of a shock to suddenly be accountable for all these people. In fact, she hadn't even decided on a secondary type to use when faced with challengers. Thinking about all this, she suddenly realised she hadn't spoken with Ailla for a week at least. Sick with worry, Brina pulled out her phone and dialled her beloved sister's number as fast as she could. Beep...Beep...Beep... "Hello?" Brina sighed with relief. "Hey Ai, it's Bri." "Bri! Are you alright!?" "Well, I'm fine... the region is a different story." "How bad is it?" "Well, there's a Tsunami heading for us but I'm at the Loreak Centre. I was wondering how you were, actually." "I'm safe! I was on a plane back to Unova to visit. I'm reporting from there until the situation clears up." "That's good - as long as you're safe!" "You need to stay safe too! I've got to go now, so best of luck! See you soon." "Alright, I'll see you soon..." Click! Brina slumped on a wall. At least she's safe. |

The Initial Forecast Initial satellite image data paints a grim picture of the incoming tsunami. The location and shape of the wave indicates that the cities of Vittoria, Elurte, Ohea and Port Piccolo are most at risk. All citizens are advised to evacuate to designated safety centers in Primaria City, Sumendi Town and Loreak City. Considering the time-sensitive nature of the evacuation, helicopters and league-sponsored Flying Pokémon will be offering emergency flights to all citizens in the danger zones first, before moving to less at risk locations. Citizens that are able to reach safety on their own are encouraged to do so, as it will help expedite the process for the pilots. |
The First Wave It was quiet. Too quiet. Even the Pokémon were nowhere to be found. It's funny how nature has a way of knowing when disaster will strike. Eye witnesses brave enough to stay behind on Elurra Island would report the drastic recession of the shoreline as hundreds of meters of the seafloor were exposed to the air. Once again, Elurte and Elurra island were one again, something that had not been true for over 100 years. But this changed quickly, as the massive form of the first wave rose over 40 meters in the air, looming over over the relatively flat expanse of Elurte... When it struck, it surged over the land, demolishing trees, houses, cars... everything that stood in its way stood no chance against the rushing water. In its wake, destruction. When the wave reached Elurra it crashed against the high cliffs, shifting the land but breaking against the solid rock. As the wave moved on, the water began to recede. But one thing was clear: Elurte Island was gone, swallowed by the sea save for a small bit of the now expanded Elurra Island. Further south, Ohea Island saw similar destruction, as entire parts of the island were submerged. The impact so strong that it altered the drainage of the sea, exposing new, smaller islands from the sea. Unlike Elurte, which due to its size saw a relatively less devastating loss in terms of housing, the destruction of Ohea City is disastrous, as one of the largest tourism centers in the region was lost to the waters. Tens of thousands are now homeless, their lives destroyed by the sea. And this is only the first wave. Some of the first changes to the layout of the region are happening! http://i.imgur.com/HfuNy7e.gif In the aftermath of the first wave, already things in the region have taken a drastic turn south. But these changes are not final, as a second wave is coming... |
The Second Wave The northern areas were underwater--some were hoping that the first wave would be the last. But tsunamis are never just a single wave. Coming from slightly south of the first, Itsaso never stood a chance against it. The floating town was promptly swept aside and destroyed, with only the sand of the atoll left, as if the town had never been there. As the wave continued towards Vivre and Loreak, it was clear that this wave was much more powerful than before. Striking the island and its children, the wave decimated the islands surrounding Loreak, sinking them beneath the sea. The high cliffs near Loreak stopped much of the damage, but Vivre was not so lucky. The marshes were absolutely swamped, and farms swept away. The distance the wave had to cross prevented major structural damage but the entire city and countryside were flooded. This would not be a good year for the farmers that called Vivre home. Thankfully, this was the last of the destruction that Regigigas' awakening would bring. Only now the true challenge for Heiwa would begin: rebuilding what was lost. And the final changes to the layout have happened! Here's a look at what's gone down: http://i.imgur.com/gCBuJcr.gif To match these layout changes a new map will be released, featuring new cities and routes! And stay tuned for Part 2: Rebuilding. |
A LETTER FROM THE REGION OF SAANN Operation Utopisland To Heiwa Champion, Emmeline, and her fellow Heiwanians... Good day, as you have asked for help with the disasters that have troubled your nation for the past few weeks, the region of Saann would like to aid our fellow Heiwanians in this time of need. Skynet Industries, the leading manufacturer of technology in Saann, has provided you with 50 Hydrovers, a land and sea vehicle that could help you in searching missing persons in the region, 20 Evaporators, which would help in clearing the floods in your cities, 10 Build Cranes, which are useful in rebuilding infrastructure around Heiwa, and a Terraformer, which would be used if incase the damage is too extensive and would like to start over. In addition, we have sent in a program called skyMate, which would be helpful for tracking any disturbances around Heiwa before it happens. We would like to express our deepest sorrows for the families who have lost their loved ones, but we believe that the fight is not yet over. We hope that this would boost our friendship to higher regards. Yours truly, emmCaduceus Lady Emmelie Caduceus Saann Champion Head Chancellor of the Caduceus Council Chancellor of Central Saann R. Hello friends! Big things are in the works, but before I continue I ask this of all of you.
Should the Regigigas event be treated as an alternate timeline (and therefore restoring the original region layout)? I know it was a bit of a wild move, so I'd like opinions on it! Please let me know by answering the poll. :) |
Might be a good idea to keep your own canon ticking over, especially with the hack in mind as a huge layout change might be hard to work in! :)

Happy New Year all. Things will be happening here when I can get it together, I promise.
Anyway, by popular vote the Regigigas/Tsunami stuff is now considered an alternate timeline. Basically, it could have happened and we can see how a crisis might be handled in the future, but otherwise it didn't actually happen. So, the region still has its original layout and people. Coming soon: revised exploration. |

Explore Heiwa ~ The Trainer System (v2.0 - W.I.P.) Introduction So you're a member of the region. Now what? Well, the Trainer System brings a bit of a role-playing aspect to the region. Your character will start as a novice trainer in the town of your choice. Depending on the town, you'll have different starter Pokémon available to you. From there, you're on your own. Do you want to explore the insides of a cave? Challenge a Gym Leader? Maybe you just want to go to the salon? Everything that Heiwa has to offer, you can give it a try. Go At Your Own Pace (How to Play) The fundamental difference between this version of the Trainer System and the old one is that unlike before players will be responsible for their own characters. Before, I had this silly system where I made you all wait for updates and it was all on me. No more. Now, you decide the outcome of your actions. As Game Master, I will simply let you know what's going on around you (and do some major battles with you on the Showdown server, should you want me to). Daily Actions Every day, you're able to take one or two major actions. They are limited in number each day because otherwise a person could beat everything in a single day, which is no fun for anyone. Here is a list of simple major actions, but you're free to try more if you can think of one.
These actions are simple actions that you can do whenever you feel like it (just don't be "that guy" that does like 50 in a day). They are usually rather mundane, like visiting a shop, swapping a Pokémon, battling a generic NPC (which doesn't need to be on Showdown), etc. I won't list any more but I'm sure you can figure out whether an action is considered "major" or "minor." Being Reasonable You can't win it all. This isn't a video game. Try to remember that when you decide whether you were able to catch that rare Pokemon, defeat that NPC trainer, or raise the entire team six levels. Those that decide it's OK for their character to never lose will find themselves with some rotten luck. So let's not find out what happens, yeah? Wait for the Game Master Whenever you take a major action, there will likely be consequences (both good and bad). This is where I, the Game Master, come in. You travel to a new area, you're going to want to know what kinds of Pokemon and Trainers are nearby, no? Well, I can provide a list for you. You want to open up a shop? Then you'll be talking to me. You'll be responsible for a lot of the outcomes of your actions. I am simply here to make sure that you don't move too fast or abuse the system too much. In addition, I will keep the game world moving whether you're with it or not. Maybe a festival is happening in Loreak City. Maybe the Kimono Girls are putting on a special show in Ombra Town. Maybe Professor Totora is giving away special Pokemon to the first three trainers to arrive. Things are always going on in Heiwa! Trainer Essentials The Team and the PC http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/4/4b/Bag_Net_Ball_Sprite.png http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/4/4b/Bag_Net_Ball_Sprite.png http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/4/4b/Bag_Net_Ball_Sprite.png http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/4/4b/Bag_Net_Ball_Sprite.png http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/4/4b/Bag_Net_Ball_Sprite.png http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/4/4b/Bag_Net_Ball_Sprite.png As usual, Trainers can have up to six Pokémon on their team. No exceptions (for now). Any more Pokémon you catch are sent to the PC, which can hold an unlimited number of Pokémon. Just don't forget what you've caught, because I won't keep track of it for you! The Pokédex All beginning trainers start with a Heiwaian Regional Pokédex. One of the challenges for a trainer is to discover every Pokémon that they can within the region. Doing so will surely lead to good things. The current list of known Pokemon can be found here. Earning a National Pokédex, due to the nature of this system, cannot be earned by finding all the Pokémon (let's be real, there's no way everyone is keeping track of finding 200+ Pokémon). Instead, it will be given away as a prize during various events or as a reward for beating the Elite Four. And trust me, you'll want a National Pokédex. The Bag All trainers have a a bag that they can use to store items. There aren't any limits on what you can put in there, and it's on you to keep track of what you have. All trainers start with the following items: 5 Poké Balls Heiwa uses the standard Pokédollars for all monetary transactions. Beginning trainers start with http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/8/8c/Pok%C3%A9monDollar.png3000 that they can use for any purpose, including buying items from stores and paying other trainers for losses. Money can be obtained through winning battles, contests, working, etc. Coming soon: formulas you can use for money transactions (we do need some stability here). Collectibles Right now, there are three types of prizes you can unlock during your exploration of the region: gym badges, contest ribbons, and trainer classes. There will be a master post keeping track of who has what (think of it as a leaderboard). The more collectibles you have, the higher your ranking in the region! Gym Badges Just like most regions, there are eight badges to be earned in Heiwa! They can only be obtained by defeating a Gym Leader, which I promise will be no easy task. Contest Ribbons You win ribbons by taking part in contests. This feature is still a work-in-progress, so you can't earn ribbons yet! Trainer Classes By exploring various locales, capturing specific Pokémon, obtaining badges, and more, you can unlock a number of Trainer Classes. Trainer Classes are purely cosmetic titles that can be applied next to a trainer's name, and you can decide which one you want displayed by your name in the leaderboards. Here is a list of trainer classes and the ways you can earn them.
Getting started is easy! Just pick your hometown (which can be anywhere but Vittoria City) and select an appropriate starter Pokémon (which will be level 5) for your hometown (see the list below), and you're good to go! Your journey is in your hands! They had no money, and most of the time they had to steal food from grocery stores just to survive. Finally, Nortov's parents told Nortov this. "Go out there, son, and make money for us. We don't care how you do it, break the law if you have to. I know this is a daunting task, us sending you out to make money with nothing. But we have faith in you." Before heading out, his father gave him something moving in a plastic bag. Nortov then started traveling, far, far away with a pokemon in a plastic bag. |
Oh cool, a new trainer system. quick question, can you get chickorita anywhere? or do you need to get it as a starter?

Is this just a hack thing and how are you going to make the player experience the alternate timelines? :) |

The Discovery of Heiwa The S.S. Hildako was an exploration vessel that set out from the port in what would eventually become Slateport City some 200 years ago. Originally bound for the Orange Islands, the crew was hoping to find fame and riches among the many unexplored islands within the archipelago. What started as a routine voyage quickly took a turn for the worse when the crew was set upon by a freak storm that quickly set them far off-course. Looking back on it years later, the captain of the ship would always hold that something must have caused the storm because there simply was no way a storm of that caliber was possible along the route the were traveling. After sailing for about a week, trying fruitlessly to sight a recognizable shore, the lookout spotted an unfamiliar set of islands in the distance. Deciding to follow up on this, the captain directed the ship towards this unfamiliar land. Bypassing the first few small islands, the crew were dismayed to find that the islands they found themselves sailing through, though densely populated with Pokemon, did not seem to have any human inhabitants. As they were making their way towards the largest island they could see, disaster struck for the crew once again as they ran aground on a series of what appeared to be stone pillars just a few feet below the surface of the sea. Seeing no other option, the crew salvaged what they could from the ship and headed for land. Wasting no time, the captain immediately set the crew to constructing a small fort so that they could survive while working on creating a new ship to hopefully find their way back home. It is said that at the time, the crew of forty were able to quickly build their small homes and begin construction of a new vessel due to the help of the local Pokémon they befriended. Once the ship was completed (and dubbed the S.S. Hildako II), the crew had come to enjoy the tropical region so much that instead of leaving forever they returned home with the intention of bringing their families with them and making a home among the islands. While the initial fort was lost twenty years later in a storm, Primary City now stands proudly where it once was, the largest and oldest city in the Heiwa Archipelago, and to this day the wreckage of the S.S. Hildako can be found in the middle of the sea south of Primaria City and Port Fortuna, supported by those strange stone pillars. Just a little story I've been wanting to write. There are definitely more tales to be told about Heiwa's mysterious past! |
