How to insert maps made in "Tiled" to a Pokemon hack or game
Hello everyone,
I am new to Rom Hacking. I have tried to insert tiles to Advance Map with no result. Then I found an program, where I can easily load new tilesets. This mapping program is called "Tiled". My question is: How can I insert the maps I made in "Tiled" to a Pokemon hack or game? Thanks for reading and sorry for my English:) |
The short answer: you can't.
Tiled is a program that saves maps in an XML format, with the intention of being used to create maps that can be used by any computer game (that wants these kind of maps). The data the Pokémon games use is in no way compatible with this (for a number of reasons), and I'll spare you the confusion and not go into the details. The map components (tileset, data, events, etc.) can only be edited in programs specifically designed to do so. |
Or you could waste your time making a converter. Just use a program...

Thanks for your answers.
Thats not so good for me. The problem with Advance Map is, that everytime when I try to insert tiles I get graphic issues. The next is, that it take a long time to finish a tileset. I also want to use more than one tileset. How can I insert tiles easily? Or is it really so difficult? |
