Captain America: Civil War

The Avengers sequel we deserved. Was not disappointed with this movie. Might even be the best superhero movie yet.

The Diary of a Teenage Girl

I finally got around to watching this movie, and I loved it. It's an honest look at how the world is nowadays for those growing up, and I'd recommend it to everyone :]

Trainspotting... and certain scenes have been on my mind all day.

I saw Spotlight on the recommendation of a friend. And, you know, it winning best picture.

It was good. Not sure what else to say though. Maybe it's because I wasn't raised Catholic, but it didn't leave a lasting impression on me. I still enjoy a well-made movie with good writing and acting though and this movie has that.

I could be wrong but I think it was "Black Mass" on a free website I use lol. I love drama movies. You guy's seriously need to watch it, it's awesome!

Emperor's New Groove ;)
Hee hee

I went ahead and watched Expelled From Paradise. Very enjoyable, I feel. Especially compared to the movie I watched before that out of morbid curiosity, Expelled. Don't even think about watching that one. It's really not worth sitting through the bad acting/actors, writing, and downright unlikable lead character.

Attack The Block

It was everything it was advertised as. Fun and engaging and silly and not overly violent. Good popcorn movie. Much better than other kids-discover-aliens movies I've seen in the recent past like Earth To Echo and Super 8.

I re watched the open movie short film Sintel. Such a good film, for 15 minutes, with the bonus it's officially available to watch for free.

Pacific Rim

God I love this movie so much. Something so silly with so much unapologetic love put into it. I could watch this movie over and over.

So I finally got around to watching Allegient...

All I can say is the disappointment is real

Lize May 30th, 2016 12:43 PM

Zootopia. I guess it was quite the anticipated movie, heard a lot about it around the time it got in cinema. I got around to watching and hoooooooooolyhell it's so cuuuuute. I suppose people would say it's pretty overated. But, the message the movie actually tells feels quite strong and that in such a cute movie with cute characters.

Ouwwiee... I'm still supposed to watch that..

I went to go see Captain America: Civil War, and it was... good.. in that weird, "god they're fighting for a stupid reason" sort of way. As per many of the comics, though, really. I could not believe Cap, though. wth man? wth.

MagicMarky07 May 30th, 2016 9:13 PM

Saw X-Men: Apocalypse. Pretty cool moments, overall movie wasn't really great though. A lot of the new guys were cool.

El Héroe Oscuro May 30th, 2016 9:34 PM

Alice Through The Looking Glass

Not a bad movie. Don't know if I would pay money to go see it again if I had the option. Actually has a pretty good story, provides a lot of insight and backgrounds to a lot of the characters in the movie. Good sequel...not great, but good.

Watched LOTR: Fellowship Of The Ring Extended Edition last night...
LOVE these films, and this was the first time seeing the extended version of Fellowship. We have the last two dvds as extended, however we only just got round to getting the first one a few weeks ago :)

Saw X-Men; Apocalypse last night, and it was pretty cool. Not amazing, but some of the characters made it enjoyable. The new cast also did a good job portraying their characters. Storm was cool, Nightcrawler was adorable, and Quicksilver had some funny moments so I was happy. Also had unexpected Professor X feels.

I watched quite a few movies yesterday, but I'll only talk about two. First I watched Cruel Intentions (1999) with a friend. It was pretty interesting, but I found my intrigue waning when the movie decided to turn into a bit of a morbid romcom towards the end. I can kind of buy Sebastian growing attached to Annette rather quickly because those types of feelings are somewhat foreign to him, but I can't get over Annette being that easy. After having that Virgin Mary article published and making a point to have a boyfriend, even if he's backpacking through Europe, I just don't understand how she could have developed feelings for Sebastian, especially after being warned about him. The whole time, I found myself wondering why she wasn't even trying to play hard to get. She did in the initial meeting, but then other times, she just...totally went with things. I didn't get it. And I don't think they had enough screen time together to form this love they claimed to have, but I digress. I would have just been fine if the film stayed about these strange step-siblings that want to fuck the world. But for what it was, I liked it. Could deal without the "romance" though.

Watched The Road to El Dorado (2000) later that night and while it was good, I just kind of wish it had a different art style or if the male leads had more...? They did good with the comedic expressions on Chell, but why did the guys not get good cartoony faces at times? You know, it being an animated comedy, I would have liked that. But for what it was, it was pretty good. I think I would have liked it better as a kid though. The songs were rather forgettable, except for It's Tough to Be a God. That one's been stuck in my head all day and probably won't leave.

Big Hero 6

Karma Police June 1st, 2016 2:08 PM

Caché (2005)

I liked it. I loved the open ended nature of it, and how it was the kind of movie that makes you actually come to your own conclusions about the themes rather than give you all the answers. I just felt that the long takes towards the end just started to drag a bit towards the end there. I could see why Michael Haneke decided to do it, but I don't know. It felt slightly odd.

I was bored earlier today and searched through Sky Movies and ended up watching a film called All Cheerleaders Die, it was awful.

Crunch Punch June 2nd, 2016 6:52 AM

Finally got around to watching Die Hard yesterday, enjoyed it.

maccrash June 2nd, 2016 9:24 AM

caught Weiner in theatres last night; competently made documentary that I'm pretty sure I only enjoyed so much because it was absolutely hilarious and there's a level of What The Fuck to everything. I haven't seen many great movies lately, actually. disappointing.
