Pokemon Gold and Silver Remake

I think that Diamond and Pearl will be a remake of Gold and Silver, that way you will be able to have all the pokemon on one game system. I think Lugia and Ho-oh will look really cool in a next generation game graphic engine. What do you think Diamond and Pearl will be?

pokemonemrald April 7th, 2005 5:10 PM

remake of g/s? I heard there were gonna be all new pokemon, but thats still a posibialty. I think its going to be a mix of g/s and r/s with new pokemon.

Timbjerr April 7th, 2005 5:23 PM

could be a possibility, but how would you exlain the fact that Munchlax and Rukario are in it. I'm pretty sure those two weren't in G/S. XD

The Fallen April 7th, 2005 6:15 PM

Nah, I think they will be their own games.Like Ruby and Sapphire. It's a new start.

MetalMario April 7th, 2005 7:53 PM

I'm thinking that the mysterious GBA game in the works could be a G/S/C remake, and be 4G, to keep the GBA tier alive.

Nicks April 7th, 2005 10:14 PM

I don't even think that they should make a remake of G/S, not unless, it's like a prequal, or a sequal,

chaosispower22 April 8th, 2005 7:04 PM

i think they should be their own games. but, they need to give you the capability to go EVERYWHERE and get ALL pokemon without the help of any nintendo events or cheating devices (though none have been released for ds yet)

HeroOFTime April 8th, 2005 8:15 PM

G/S/C were my favorite pokemon games because you have 16 badges instead of 8 and that make the replay value really good because its like 2 adventures in one game!

I liked Gold/Silver because of their atmosphere. Johto was a very cozy region, with coniferous forest, small villages, and big cities. It was warm and natural, but also connected. It had that rich, Japanese-style history, with the towers and so on, and you're placed in the middle of it all. I also found the Pokémon of the second generation to be the most appealing and diverse. The first and third-gen Pokémon were, in general, too 'jungley' for my taste.

HeroOFTime April 9th, 2005 9:45 AM

I agree. And Ruby and Sapphire's pokemon just felt like ripoffs of other pokemon.

Shinin April 16th, 2005 4:56 AM

Remakes of Gold & Silver should be made after Diamond & Pearl are released, then the 3rd in the D/P series (like in the advance generation). Or you should be able to go to Johto and Kanto in D/P.

Dawson April 16th, 2005 12:29 PM

I'll bet my life on D/P being original games. If they were remakes, Nintendo would have told us straight away to stop speculation and, ultimately, disappoint fans who were expecting something new.

Jeremy April 16th, 2005 12:41 PM

They're going to be orignal games, it's pretty obvious *Yes, I can't spell XD.*, sweeties.

Nicks April 17th, 2005 3:02 AM

I wont buy it, reason being, i only bought FR/LG, becasue of the new breeding stuff, and if it cant trade to Sapphire i wont buy it!

Tom_GameMaster April 17th, 2005 3:13 AM

Actually I don't care what it is. If it's a rip-off, fine. I'll buy it anyway X"3

Shadow April 17th, 2005 7:04 AM

No more remakes! Nintendo has released way too many lately.

Not that I don't want to go through Johto again, but if it is the same exact thing with the same events happening at the same time as in G/S/C, than no I don't.

Dawson April 17th, 2005 8:11 AM

I'd love to see Johto remade again, just not the whole G/s/C game. Nintendo have released too many 'cash in games' too, they should never have released Dash before Diamond/Pearl.

scolari April 19th, 2005 8:17 PM

it is not a remake of g/s/c even though i would like one as it was my favourite series

Makoto April 21st, 2005 3:36 PM

no, D/P will be new. and i've been thinking for a while....

Since people ever even heard of D/P, they've been having unrealistic expectations about it( Pokemon actually touching eachother in battle, calling out the attacks, etc, etc). And while most of these innovations would be cool, i don't think nintendo would do that. I think that it would be just like all the other handheld games so far(Dash excluded) and be a normal pokemon game, maybe with being able to touch which attack you want to use.

D/P will be their own games, starring the 4th gen. pokemon. but i completely agree - of every pokemon game boy game, g/s were my favorites for almost exactly the same reasons. they also didn't have too many challenging puzzles, and it was very realistic with the time and night and day and certain events on certain days that it had the most gameplay (in my opinion), and not to mention great replay value. i would love to see a remake, or mayb a lot of those features encorporated in d/p.

Tvan April 22nd, 2005 8:58 PM

since the ds runs an updated version of the n64's graphics engine, i figure that the battles could quite possibly be like those in stadium.

Joveeno April 23rd, 2005 5:06 AM

Maybe it's better that nintendo makes the remake of G/S/C just like the Emerald version. You know, different stories that can make you get both Groudon and Kyogre (in this case, maybe both Lugia and Ho-oh and some other legendaries). It's also better that in the remake we can go to Hoenn region (considering the game might not be able to trade with GBA).

You most likely will be able to trade between R/S/FR/LG/E and D/P. They wouldn't make us mad again.

Pokemaster Jonathan April 25th, 2005 2:54 PM

the thing is Gold sun and silver sea i would amagine would not have new pokemon and would be for the GBA plus they would need an equivilant to the sevii islands like an orange leauge

Dark Penguin April 25th, 2005 3:02 PM

yeah, but unfortunatley for all you g/s/c fans, i don't think game freak and creatures is focusing too much on making a g/s/c remake. i think they have their hands full with diamond and pearl, but mayb after they're done..........................and yeah, there would be some extras to add in if they do a g/s/c remake, but mayb the S.S. Aqua taking you to new islands...........or a new zone? (equilivant to teh sevii islands?)
