Trying to improve my Mega Blastoise team
I've tried researching so much on this game and just trying to a have competent team. I figure I build one around Blastoise since he's my favorite Pokemon, but, f***, I feel like a loser. I haven't won a game yet in the doubles rating battles this season. I'll share what I have and hopefully someone here can help me make some proper adjustments. Please help.

Protect doesn't work with Choice Specs on Sylveon since Choice items lock Pokemon into one move and you don't want to be stuck with only Protect til it switches out. Hidden Power Fire or Ground would be better to snipe Steel types with.
Life Orb is a bad idea on Talonflame due to how frail it is, how common Rock Slide is, and the fact that its attacks cause recoil damage. It'll be dying real fast, even if you had Roost on it. Maybe like a Sharp Beak or a Flame Plate or a Lum Berry or something would be better. Water Spout is indeed powerful and has the bonus of not hitting your allies like Surf does, but it loses power as Blastoise loses HP so it's not what I'd call reliable. Water Pulse or Hydro Pump would probably be better, despite being single target only. I also feel like Garchomp could maybe be replaced with something else, but I'm not sure what really.... |

To provide some more speed control, you can have something like Klefki provide Thunder Wave to slow down opponents: -Reflect -Light Screen -Thunder Wave -Foul Play Nature: Bold EVs: 252 HP/64 Def/192 SDef Item: Light Clay Ability: Prankster |
