Pokemon XY Breakthrough is out TOMORROW!

Howdy guys!

The new TCG expansion, Breakthrough, is out tomorrow! I'm sooo hyped for it. I feel Pokemon has included amazingly beautiful artwork in this one. Some of my favorite include Raichu Break, Mega Mewtwo-EX, and Parallel City! There's the cards below:

The gold and silver look on the Break cards look super slick. Tell me guys, what are you looking forward to the most out of this set? Which Break/EX is your favorite?

Thanks for reading!

If you couldn't tell by my card of the week selection, my favorite thus far is Raichu BREAK.

Haven't bought any boosters yet, though.

Bought a few boosters yesterday and actually got Parallel City! It looks even better in person than it does on the computer I couldn't help but stare at it for a few moments.

I haven't really taken a look at the cards yet, but that Raichu one looks slick damn. Though I also like the Celebi card that I got with my boosters and I'm definitely planning on snagging the Sableye one too when I feel like dropping more money on cards.

Yup, my fav is Raichu BREAK as well. Loooove that card. Every few weeks I'll be uploading a new booster pack opening and have already opened them up in advance. Out of seven packs as of right now, 1 EX and 1 BREAK. Unfortunately not Raichu, but I'm still very happy with the pull :)

I'm thinking of getting a booster box, but I'm not sure really. I really love this set so I might have to put out the money and do it :P

Aw man, nice pull on Parallel City! I'm jealous :) I picked up that pack with the Celebi promo as well; I really like that card! Those ancient trait "full-ish art" cards look really spiffy

Haha, thanks! Honestly that was probably my best pull out of the three boosters I got. If not that then my favorite. Though I suppose the Xerneas and Gallade rares I pulled weren't too bad hmm. I agree on the ancient trait cards they've become some of my favorites since they came out with 'em.

I haven't been able to pick up any boosters yet, but so far it looks really, really promising. I looooove the Raichu Break it seems to be a fan favorite. <3

Wow, when did they start doing horizontal art (not really sure what you call that) on the cards? That looks amazing. I have just lately gotten into the TCG (I always liked to collect the cards as a kid but I never knew how to play until recently) and have been occasionally getting some of the newer boosters. On the day a new expansion releases, can they easily be found in places where the cards are usually sold (I tend to buy my cards at Target and Walmart), or does it take a few days?

There has been different horizontal artwork before, but these new "BREAK" cards are played in a different fashion over-top the original Pokemon artwork. It's a really cool concept. As for finding them in stores, sorta. It took me about 3 calls until I found them at Target on release day :) That was last Wednesday, though, so they are probably easier to find now :D

Yeah, they should definitely be out and about now. My Walmart is pretty good at bringing out things on release date though honestly I usually just happen to notice when new cards come out while I'm passing by because I don't keep up with release dates, hahah. But Target/Walmart should definitely have them now. Dunno about other areas but they're about a buck or two cheaper at Walmart than at Target, iirc. But depends on where you think you'll get better cards.

The distributors that stock this stuff at my local Targets are frequently guilty of breaking the official street date for the set by a day or two, meaning it's out a day or two early.
