Adding OW Sprites
 
Please tell me there's an easier way to add new OW sprites then what's going here:

I don't know anything about Hex editing and all of the images are gone! Actually, forget all that. I fully admit, I'm super lazy. I've read through it and think I could probably figure it out, but just wondering/hoping there's an easier way by any chance?

I think there's a tool out there that can do some of the repointing for you, but I can't remember what it's called. Honestly it'll be better if you do it yourself anyway.

Ha! Well I was hoping for an easier way, but I think you just gave me an even harder way! Although I like that I don't have to deal with JPAN's Fire Red Hacked Engine, which confuses me, so that's a good thing I guess. FINE, I'll figure out HEX editing, FML. Appreciate the assistance.

If anyone wants to just give me a patch for Fire Red with extra OW sprites added that I can just edit, you'll be my new best friend... ;)

Just use Overworld Editor Rebirth that could be edited to support JPAN's Engine and nse to extend OW's to 32x32 or change existing OW's

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm not extremely familiar with JPAN engine but I don't believe it will work for me. I'm not trying to re-do the entire game, I'm using the game as is and adding to it. I believe that JPAN's engine basically wipes everything... no?

For anyone who might care, I was able to figure out what I needed using a combination of:

I used this to figure out how to re-point and copy the existing OW table to increase space for OW's.

Then I used this to determine how to add a new OW sprite, and frame pointer and frames, etc...

Hopefully that's correct and makes some sense?...

In conclusion, way more complicated than I wanted. -_-
