The next holiday I celebrate is unleavened bread, the week of the passover to commemorate the Exodus. Can I smell like matzah bread instead? :P

The best thing about this time of the year, despite not following any of the traditional festivities, is the really good Christmas food. Chocolate cakes!!! *gets fat thinking about it* *drools* *mops up floor*.

Like it amazes me how perfect her voice is and she never changes for the industry..she keeps it real.

but yeah it's totally normal to talk about it a lot cause it hurts, just remember that it'll pass and be an old memory someday.

I love Adele but as a choir person her diction annoys the crap out of me. She doesn't enunciate anything, and her vowel shaping is a nightmare. :(

I went to choir school for 6 years :3 solo singing is so much more free ofc. Adele is superb.

However! The Gwyneth Paltrow version of Turning Tables is actually better imo.

Sanguine November 24th, 2015 7:55 PM

I've actually never listened to Adele apart from Rolling in the Deep, which was an awful song so

I want to be in a choir :[

Sirfetch’d November 24th, 2015 8:01 PM

I love Adele so much. She's one of the few artists that I can listen to on repeat without growing stale of it right away.

you think so? I feel like she pronounces pretty clear compared to other artists but idk that's just me :x and I guess her accent has something to do with it too since it's...different

So my friend ask me what should I do during the holidays and I just say go to work and get more experience.

So whats your plan during this holiday besides christmass.....

Yukari November 25th, 2015 6:08 AM

I'm probably gonna do nothing at all and just be lazy.

AKA the same thing I do every day.

Sirfetch’d November 25th, 2015 9:16 AM

I'm going to eat and watch football all day tomorrow. Gotta travel again though on Saturday b/c I'm going to a football game then. After that tho I probs will just be relaxing until christmas.

Pinkie-Dawn November 25th, 2015 9:33 AM

My family will be holding a Thanksgiving party tomorrow, so I'll be playing Smash Bros. with relatives.

Sylphiel November 25th, 2015 3:31 PM

I have absolutely no idea what I'll be doing for the holidays (aside from knowing where I'll be going tomorrow, or where I think I'm going). I actually had that brought up to me earlier, or rather more like "we need to figure out what's happening after this". :D Though that was probably more along the lines of gifts and whatnot.

Wicked3DS November 25th, 2015 10:59 PM

I still need to figure out what I want for my Secret Santa that we're inevitably doing.

Also according to Wiki "The term Pollyanna is used in Southeastern Pennsylvania and South Jersey." I'm glad I looked that up before I confused everyone using that term :P

This.

I haven't the slightest idea what we are even doing today, probably going to stay home and make our own little Thanksgiving together, which is a nice change of pace.

Usually at my household, there's always leftovers of just about everything made for both Thanksgiving and Christmas at dinnertime.

Those are the best connections, though, right? You can catch up after a while as if nothing's changed. Though it's nice to have some familiar faces around.

As for leftovers, I completely avoided leaving the apartment today to just eat mashed potatoes. Good decisions.

BeachBoy November 27th, 2015 11:57 AM

we get reports semi-frequently in Treehouse. it's nice. :)

Tsutarja November 27th, 2015 2:26 PM

I rarely get reports myself xD although it was a scary experience for me when I first became a mod because I was never really sure on how to act when handling a report, and it came on like my second day as a mod too

Chikara November 27th, 2015 3:06 PM

I get like one report a month, which is a good thing!

When I was younger, reporting gave so much anxiety for no reason, that I usually just wouldn't. Then I got over it >w>

I felt the exact same way with smod. NU/W and Strategies were relatively easier to handle, but once it opened up to the whole scope, deference to the mods and their particulars became key.

It's often those that worry if their reports are good enough that provide the best reports. :)

EDIT: Right on, Archy. Mostly just needs to be noticed.

Sirfetch’d November 27th, 2015 3:36 PM

I actually started reporting posts more after I got modded! I guess I just realized how much they helped when it comes to moderating a section haha. I usually try and fill in the report box with something like "wow bad" :x I'm awful :(

For me, they already started two weeks ago; last week on Friday I wrote one in Latin and yesterday in English (my wrist still does the ouchies after the 1k words I blabbered onto that paper, gnyargh) and after the next two there's even more ahead too x.x
Luckily the easier ones however, so I'm confident in... not failing :3

I'm kinda blissfully ignorant of exams this semester. I only have one, in British Literature, but per the usual I'll get it in gear about four days before and become a total hermit until the storm passes.

BeachBoy November 28th, 2015 2:23 PM

I usually have similar troubles with my left hip. It's been oddly problematic and nagging over the past week. I can't seem to pop it the right way to give me some relief. But I am so stubborn about getting these things checked or ever going to the doctor. Likely to be my downfall. v____V

Good luck regardless! "It gets worse before it gets better," I s'pose with this time of year.

I think I'll do okay, although I'm not doing too well in Chem. I don't need it though, so I hope that perhaps I could get the mark adjusted down the road. However, the class that I want to attend next semester requires a prerequisite which I don't have because I didn't pass it last semester, although I am taking the course again this semester. I'm not sure if that's going to be an issue so I may have to find a plan B.

We can be broken buddies! I shattered my wrist in a cycling accident and inherited 9 screws. Isn't knowing when it's about to rain awesome? /s

Oy vey. D: All the prereqs and such can get so confusing down the lines. I had to take five years (in my fifty atm) just to get these majors finished.

King Elizabello November 28th, 2015 5:37 PM

Gingerbread? Lol sorry i got an update of KitKat and want to take a break as soon as possible enjoy ^^

Tsutarja November 28th, 2015 5:57 PM

The only thing wrong with my health is that I'm a tad overweight lol.. other than that I can still move around freely although I have flat feet instead of normally-arched feet :|

Pre-reqs annoy me for classes. At least the registration portal my college uses states that instructor permission can be granted for a student to take a class if they don't meet the prerequisite(s).

Sir Codin November 29th, 2015 2:06 AM

Got a lotta work to do tomorrow, first I gotta complete CPR/First Aid training, then I got to finished the Results portion of my capstone paper.

Tsutarja November 29th, 2015 6:53 AM

Honestly, I don't think I'm gonna pass one of my classes this semester. I had a lot of **** going on that really screwed me over emotionally almost to the point where I wanted to quit school.

Oh, and it doesn't help when you're in a class with an incompetent professor who you receive little assistance from nor class updates (unless you're at class) and you have to keep track of your own grades as well.

Sirfetch’d November 29th, 2015 5:37 PM

I hope that you guys can push that grade up enough 8(

I know the feeling of having a crappy professor though, Zach. Last year my music history teacher was in his first year as a college professor and had no clue about anything. I don't want to blame him because he was new but it made things so hard on the students.

Pinkie-Dawn November 30th, 2015 7:48 AM

I've got a finals this week on Thursday, and I haven't studied much yet, for I was busy typing essays.

Hikamaru November 30th, 2015 2:53 PM

I'm probably the only one here who never had to do exams, and that's because I went to a school for special needs, and not everyone here can understand those tough exams so it's understandable.

Sirfetch’d November 30th, 2015 7:57 PM

So December is finally here. Which means Christmas soon D:

Am I the only one who has done 0 shopping yet? ;x

Pinkie-Dawn November 30th, 2015 8:32 PM

Not just Christmas, but also the Video Game Awards, which will determine the fate of the video game industry, which it already has for leaving out Xenoblade Chronicles X.

Astinus November 30th, 2015 8:34 PM

I've done a little bit of shopping. Mostly just one or two presents picked up at whatever store I'm in at the time.

I dunno. This year, I'm just not excited about Christmas. Other years, I'd be thinking of at least one big present that I'd really want. This year, I'm satisfied with what I have, and those around me feel the same way.

Haha, I have not followed any video game news in years. Only thing I really just want to keep on top of is the FFVII remake because I still enjoy that game.

Sirfetch’d November 30th, 2015 8:39 PM

I suppose that I will start my christmas shopping this week, mostly online. I always hate going to stores around this time of year as they are so busy and never have anything in stock.

Skip Class November 30th, 2015 8:44 PM

I'm probably gonna wait till after my birthday next week before I do any more Christmas shopping. I started a little bit last week due to end of season sales, but I still don't know what to buy anyone >_<

Do you guys have anyone that you want to give a present to, but you have no idea what to get them?

noa December 1st, 2015 1:01 PM

I hate Christmas shopping because I never have enough money to get people what I really want to get them. I can only afford to get small things and while I'm sure they don't really mind because they understand the situation I'm in, I wonder if they feel disappointed. :( This year I will probably just get small gifts along with heartfelt letters...

I hate being broke OTL

Sirfetch’d December 1st, 2015 1:13 PM

I never know what to even get people for Christmas. I always enjoy getting money but I don't ever actually give that out lol. I might just give people gift cards or something and be lazy.

Ivysaur December 1st, 2015 1:57 PM

What a beautiful plant you have on your back, Went.

Pendraflare December 1st, 2015 7:01 PM

On the shopping topic, I end up going to the mall quite a bit at this time of year because I tend to eat there often, but it takes a while for me to decide what I want to get.

Pinkie-Dawn December 1st, 2015 7:50 PM

So, I am officially a PC veteran, and yet nobody remembered.

I was able to pre-order Xenoblade Chronicles X Special Edition on Black Friday as my Christmas present, and I'm suppose to get a Mewtwo amiibo as another present.

Kaiyu December 1st, 2015 9:30 PM

I just baked some gingerbread cookies earlier today. Some didn't turn out right but oh well lol. They still tasted delicious. =)

moon December 2nd, 2015 12:31 AM

I have yet to put up Christmas decorations :o I have a feeling one of my cats would totally eat the tree though.

Ice December 2nd, 2015 7:44 AM

We have some Christmas lights outside, but it's minimal.

Also, cats should not eat trees.

Morkula December 2nd, 2015 10:26 AM

I have my outdoor stuff up, and all but a few ornaments on the tree.

My dog disapproves of having the tree skirt laid out under the tree like it's supposed to be though, and keeps bundling it up in a knot in the middle of the living room floor when I'm not around. >_>

Hikamaru December 2nd, 2015 3:49 PM

I remember when my family left our outdoor Christmas lights up even long after Christmas was over, but that was years ago.

Sirfetch’d December 2nd, 2015 4:40 PM

All of our christmas decorations are already up. We have quite a few lights on our shrubs and trees outside as well as some light up candy canes. Inside we decided to do a little less this year as some of our decorations have gotten old and damaged over the years.

Wow this reminds me so much of my family. We live in an apartment as well but we don't bother to put up any decorations these days.

Sirfetch’d December 2nd, 2015 5:56 PM

I just love decorations too much not to put them up. Even in my room where it's crammed, I try to string some lights or what not.

Sirfetch’d December 2nd, 2015 6:09 PM

I used to have this dancing christmas tree thing but I am pretty sure it died a few years back. I really wish it hadn't because it was so cute aaa

Sirfetch’d December 2nd, 2015 6:22 PM

Omg yes I so remember seeing those in stores around here. I am glad that fad went away lol.

alisaie December 2nd, 2015 6:54 PM

I put up decorations at work! Since I insisted that I and a coworker do it together because last year everytime a holiday rolled around they would always decorate on my day off. :( So I totally made up for it!

At home I'm too lazy to decorate though pft.

Also oh god don't remind me about the annoying fish things.

Sirfetch’d December 3rd, 2015 1:39 PM

what did you buy me for christmas, lucid?

i bought you a hug

(hug)

Sylphiel December 3rd, 2015 3:09 PM

No decorations here at all, can't be bothered.

I think I have a string of lights somewhere in a closet, but I don't remember where and I don't feel like digging for it. :P

...I don't want to think about any shopping, ahhhh.

Sirfetch’d December 3rd, 2015 4:40 PM

Sirfetch’d December 3rd, 2015 5:35 PM

I'm sorry but I had to :(

moon December 3rd, 2015 10:54 PM

I still forgot to put up decorations lol. I need to do it soon, I usually love December leading up to Xmas, but I don't love the day itself very much.

Are we talking secrets yes

Nihilego December 4th, 2015 3:47 AM

My lab made a christmas tree covered in little test tubes with colourful things in them and we put a stuffed mouse toy at the bottom to look after the presents underneath it!! I'll post pictures later if I have time.

moon December 4th, 2015 1:09 PM

I have cats. That's all that matters today. Also I did my homework already, go me :3
